Those are pretty much my go to's, but I'm willing to hear out any idea and think about it!
Here's an example of my writing to give you a sense of my "skill" I guess... I keep trying to get better and better so bear with me!
Benjamin West woke up to a loud alarm, and the sun shining through the window and into his eyes. groaned a little as he hit the snooze button, and fell back down onto his pillow. It was an almost perfect plan, until he heard running down the hall and a small voice. "Daddy! Dad wake up!" Ben's daughter Jamie knocked on his door, and continued down the hall to wake her brother up too.
Ben got out of the bed, running a hand through his messy brown hair before drawing the curtains to view the beautiful Virginia forest. He walked across to the room to a nightstand with a picture of a beautiful woman holding a small boy, with the brightest smile in the world. "Buongiorno mio amore" He muttered, touching the picture lightly before walking into the bathroom, getting ready for the day.
Minutes later he came down the stairs dressed in a dark blue sweater, some worn jeans and sneakers. He didn't have a traditional job in the morning, but he did have the all-time job of being a dad. He made his way into the kitchen, a traditional style that Maria helped remodel. Jamie was sitting at the island, finishing some of her homework. Ben rubbed his hand on her head, and walked to the kitchen. "What will it be, Little One? Pancakes? Cereal, eggs?" He asked, turning on the stove.
"Just cereal..." Jamie replied, hard at work. "Just cereal, you got it... Hey, is Marco up? Marco!" Ben yelled, walking to the pantry to receive some cereal. "Daddy, you're still going to help today, right?" Jamie asked. "Yeah, yeah... wait, help with what?" He asked, handing his daughter a bowl and pouring milk in.
"The school fair is today, and you promised to help, remember?" He had been going through so much recently with the legal papers and Marco acting up in school, that he had forgotten all about the fair! "Yeah, I remember sweetheart... I'll be there. Marco! Hurry up, don't make me come up there!"
A couple seconds later Ben's oldest, Marco walked down, not saying a word, only grabbing a bagel from the kitchen counter. "You get your work done, Big Guy? I'm not going to get a note to sign tonight for bad behavior?" Ben asked, looking over at him as he helped Jamie put things in her backpack. Marco shook his head. "Can we go now? We're going to be late."
"Well maybe if someone came down on time we shouldn't be. Come on sweetheart. Everyone in the car! You all got your lunches, right?"
----
The car rides to school were not the most heartfelt and happiest. It was debating on what to listen to on the radio, mixed with passive aggressive remarks from Marco, to Ben giving a speech on how he needs to help out and grow up. When they parked in front of the school, Marco immediately left without saying a word. "Yeah, Love you too!" Ben yelled after him, getting out of the car to help Jamie out. "Alright Little one, when does your fair start?"
"Five o'clock. But volunteers need to be there an hour early to set things up."
"Four o'clock. Got it. And... what did you sign me up to do, exactly?"
"I don't know, the school figures that out, I just put you on the list!"
"Alright, mio amore, I'll be there. Have a good day, I love you." He gave her a kiss on the forehead before letting her go off to her class. He stood next to his car, watching her meet up with her friends. She didn't seem as embarrassed of him as Marco was, it was probably because she was letting him cope with this all. She was a smart girl, too smart if you asked him.
He looked next to him to see a couple of parents (especially mothers) staring over at him. He was famous in a sense, he made a lot of interviews and did a lot of crazy things on his old show that many people would see him as a perfect human being... But he didn't feel that at all. He gave an awkward smile and wave to the crowd, getting into the car before any of them could dive into small talk. He didn't hate talking to people, it was just... difficult. Especially right now.
He would probably do what he did every day. He would call some buddies he had that were still talking about a new season for his show (and politely turn them down), clean the house, and then apparently help at this school fair. It was a change of pace from what he used to do, but this was still just as challenging.
If you have any questions about my RP's, or future ones just shoot me a PM!
All of these people are amazing writers and friends and if you happen to RP with them consider yourself lucky! XD
and for a final note: THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOBBY, NOT A CHORE! I never want to put pressure on you, or myself and make any RP feel like you NEED to post, or have to force yourself to write. This is supposed to be fun, and I'll do anything to make sure it feels that way :)
Peter laughed, and watched her hand trace the heart. "I wouldn't consider the mop an ex... more like a friend with benefits... eh, on second thought. I don't even want to call it that." Peter said with a smile, putting his other hand on her cheek softly, looking at her. "I don't think it could have... but the mop also doesn't have the most amazing set of eyes, can't mess with my hair, and I wouldn't ever spend the night with it." He said softly, stroking her cheek bone softly with his thumb... He would want nothing more than to have Lexi and Peter fall asleep holding each other. After the incredibly tough night they had, they very much needed a quiet night, and possible day tomorrow, with no fear gas, or tough bad guys, or whatever else was normal in the life of the Spider-Man. "I'm just glad I don't ever have to go back to it... I'd much rather have the beautiful and smart and adorable Lexi Rogers as my girlfriend." He kissed her forehead softly.Across the island, the docks of New York City were deserted this time of night. A large cargo ship landed, and people started to climb out, carrying boxes and other supplies to the warehouses. Then a much larger man stepped off the boat, and on to the cement dock. He wore large, thick black military boots, dark brown cargo pants, and a vest of what seemed to be made of leopard skin. Around his neck was a necklace made of series of teeth from different creatures. He also had a large machete holstered on his hip, and a whip. He had a crooked nose, a large black beard, and his long black hair pulled back. He had many scars on his massive arms, and face, his dark green eyes scanned every surface...
"Hmm..." The man said as he took in a breath of the air, sensing what was around him. A woman followed after him. She was dark skinned, barefoot, and wore a dark purple robe. Her face was hidden. "He is here... your greatest prey." The woman said, her voice sounding very powerful, and playful. The man looked at the skyline of the city. "He will soon be nothing but another trophy for my collection." The large man said in a thick Russian accent, growling a bit, his white teeth showing. "His looks may deceive you, my hunter... I sense a lot of power in this Spider." The woman said, running a long finger down the man's arm. "you know what you must do. Follow him, learn his patterns... and once you find the opportune moment. Kill him, and collect your Trophy."
Steve silently waited for the Sentinels to show up. As he did other S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents were working out, and couldn't help but stare over at the legend. He had been working here for a bit now, but it never ceased to amaze him how many people would look at him as if it was the first time. He couldn't really blame them. He was supposed to be dead many years ago on that Hydra ship. But slowly the people started to come in, and the regular agents seemed to be amazed at that as well. All of them were fit to the max, both mentally and physically. He knew that with these sudden changes, they had side effects. Many things would be broken in his bunker at times during the War.
He greeted the man who first walked in with a nod, and smile. "Hello... And its Steve for now. We aren't out in the field just yet." He said with a nod, holding his hand out for a shake. He found out that a good team was one that could be themselves around... He assumed most of these people don't really come from a "normal" background, but just because they were super soldiers, doesn't mean they weren't human.
Then a woman came in, holding her breakfast. People back in his day would say that they weren't really capable of combat... but after seeing Peggy Carter, and especially Black Widow in action, they would be very very wrong. "Morning." he said to her, giving a smile.
A more serious looking man entered next, taking full military stance and looking at Steve. A soldier before the change. "At ease, soldier." He said to him. "You don't have to be professional just yet."
"Holy shit, its really him."
He turned his attention to the other super soldier coming in. "In the flesh." he said with a shrug and smile. He tried his best to seem at ease and casual with them, but to be honest, he was quite nervous. It was weird seeing other soldiers up to his ability in fighting... but then again, he did lead a team of super heroes against a giant army of aliens... He guessed it was just different. They were just like him... He didn't want to let any down.
Another true military man came walking in, giving a salute. He gave one back, and took the papers he handed him. "At ease, Doctor Hunt." Steve said, glancing over the papers he handed him, then back at him, giving a smile.
Once he was sure everyone who was supposed to be in here was, he cleared his throat. "G-Goodmorning. I'm Captain Steve Rogers, and the men and women around you here today, are going to be your new squad mates." Steve said, his confidence radiating from him as he talked more and more. "I hope you guys are feeling alright. I know the serum gives you some weird things... Like bladder problems at first... Or at least, that's what I had... anyway." Steve continued, looking at them all in front of him. "You've all been chosen for a reason, though. I read all reports on you all, and I am very proud and honored to be in charge of such amazing soldiers. So for a bit get to know each other until Director Fury comes in to give us our first official field operation." Steve nodded, and once again looked at them all.
The more he worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. the more he didn't know what he was doing was right or wrong... It was much different back then. He knew who the enemy was, and what to shoot. Now he has to hesitate every time he makes a move... But from what he saw, this was a step forward in the right direction... Steve was ready to lead them... and if S.H.I.E.L.D. were to set them up for anything, he would take the blame, and he will do his absolute best to make everything right.
I'm still here! I'm sorry, I just like to wait until everyone posts before I start again so no one is left behind, I'll get a reply up when I get home since it's been a while and no one had updated me on their status
Steve wasn't really embarrassed... It sounded like she wasn't laughing at him not knowing how to dance, but his comments... which made him feel a bit better about it. When she took his hand he followed, and she put his arms in position. He was having an internal struggle. Half of his body wanted to let her go and walk out, deciding to be a blubbering idiot who couldn't let go of something he desired more than anything, while the other one was saying how incredible and sweet Sharon was. Funny, smart, grateful for the smaller and bigger people out there, and she was absolutely gorgeous... He listened to her instructions, remembering the steps as she said it, and it only took one round of explaining before he started to get the hang of it... But if he was his old self, he would have tripped, probably broken his nose, and then taken a nice trip to the hospital.
He swayed along with her, doing his best not to look down at her because he knew that he would get distracted by her, and he would make himself look like a fool. He listened to the lyrics... boy, he could really relate to them right now... He caught a glimpse of her looking up at her, and he looked back down in to her beautiful blue eyes... He wished the glasses were off so he could see just how beautiful they were, but he was by no means not enjoying her this close... And then just as he would have assumed, he accidentally stepped on her foot.
"Oh, i'm so sorry!" he said with an apologetic smile, hoping she wasn't in pain or anything... I mean, it wasn't that hard of a step, and she probably could take it... God Steve, stop overthinking! Think of this as a.... military strategy. It has steps, and technique, a way of doing things... but if you do it right (which you were made to do), it'll be worth it... just like dancing, and just like talking to a girl... But that was easier said than done for him. He would feel a lot more comfortable with a bunch of people shooting at his head.
"This ain't so bad..." Steve said, mostly about the dance, but also about this whole 'getting to know a girl' thing as well, looking back down at her stunning blue eyes.
"You think my jokes are cheesy?" Peter asked, showing a fake sign of offense. He then planted a long passionate kiss on her full beautiful lips. He wasn't that much interested in the movie anymore. He would much rather wrestle his tongue with his beautiful girlfriend's. His hands moved gently across her body, the feeling of her fingertips in his hair always sent that chill down his spine. "I'm glad you find my signature traits attractive... or I'd be with the mop" He grinned. It was a while since he brought up that joke to her. He knew he thought this a lot, but he was incredibly lucky to have his best friend also be the woman he absolutely loves to the end of the earth, even if she does own the worst movie probably ever made...
Steve smiled and nodded as he continued about her Aunt. Steve was never really close with his family. His dad died when Steve was very little, and his mother was amazing and beautiful, but she died when he was a teenager... He hates to admit it, but he barely remembers much about her anymore. Then as she talked about her job, he listened, and smiled. It was glad to know that compliments said left some people with a good impression. He was happy that she was. Whoever said those words to her seemed to be very important to make her act this way...
As the song changed, he again, didn't know the song, but knew that Frank Sinatra was indeed singing again. He watched the beautiful blonde move to the music, her hips swaying beautifully to the song... And when asked the question, he looked up at her.
"I'm gonna need a rain check on that dance."
" All right. A week next Saturday at The Stork Club."
"You've got it."
"I... This might sound a bit embarrassing, but I don't... know how to dance." He said with a weak smile to her, the face of Peggy in his mind yet again...
"Eight o'clock on the dot. Don't you dare be late. Understood?
You know, I still don't know how to dance.
I'll show you how. Just be there.
"I'd hate to step on your feet." Steve said, now shaking his head a bit but still stepping forward towards her. He was still haunted by the last conversation he had in his time... When he knew what was right and wrong, what to do, where to go, where he knew he had the right partner. And for a while, he was sure he would never find that partner again. He's alone and confused in this world, with so many people relying on him, but he doesn't know what they want from him anymore... But as he stared at Sharon, her arm extended, swaying to the music... maybe this was life actually giving him a break... giving him the right partner for that dance...
Swinging around the city was probably his most favorite thing to do. All his worries and cares faded, the rush of falling to his doom only to catch himself was amazing, and he just felt invincible. But now having Lexi in his arms was his favorite thing to do. She took away those same worries and fears, his heart raced whenever her fingers touched his body, and when she spoke to him it put him to ease. Peter was half asleep before Lexi turned to him. He was alert immediately, and as he listened to her question, he gave a laugh. "It's not that weird. it could be worse." He said with a nod. "you could have the ability to stick to everything, and whenever you're nervous or embarrassed you lose control of it..." He kissed her forehead. "All you have to do is try and control it, and once you're in the suit, it definitely fits." Peter said with a smile. He didn't notice the purring to be honest, but he assumed it wouldn't make a difference if he did... Although he wasn't sure if the others would, and that could be a giveaway, or just something to call her a freak, and he was very touchy on that subject, and that term.
Peter's hand went softly to her stomach, rubbing it lightly as he kept watching the truly awful movie. "Man... the dialogue, the acting, the true terror! its a wonder why they never won an award." Peter said with a laugh.
She was obviously embarrassed. the last thing he wanted to do was to make her feel uncomfortable. When she mentioned her aunt and the music, he raised his eyebrows. "Your aunt sounds like my kind of lady." He said with a laugh, not knowing exactly who she was. It was just a joking manner. "Louie is always a good, very talented guy." Steve said, and then watched as she changed the song. It was very weird how one of Steve's favorite performers was Sharon's as well... The more he learned about this woman, the more he felt comfortable with her. As the song played, he wasn't very familiar with the song, but the singer he sounded quite familiar. He liked the style and feel of it, like a whole orchestra came together to help play this song.
"I'm not so sure about the song... But it sounds like Frank Sinatra." Steve said with a nod, not really sure himself. When Steve was last unfrozen Sinatra was just getting started, so he would know only a few songs by the infamous singer. "but I like it, has a nice feel to it." He said with a nod. After a little bit of listening to the song, Steve decided to start a conversation to keep himself from looking like a freak in front of her door. "How was your second day in the big bad city?"
Lexi on his lap was very comforting, and made him want to kiss every inch of Lexi's body. "I don't think you'd be saying that if you didn't know I was the web head himself." He wasn't saying that she didn't love Peter, he was simply saying that he was still very much down the social ladder than his girlfriend. for a minute they watched in silence, just enjoying their presence. He didn't know about Lexi, but the night drained his energy, and he much rather preferred not to blabber his mouth (shocking, I know!). He would much rather keep that energy trying to stay up, and be with his love. When asked where Aunt May was, Peter took a handful of popcorn. "She's passed out upstairs. She's an incredibly light sleeper. Many times I would accidentally run in to the window as Spidey while coming home. She didn't say a word about it the other days." Peter said, eating a few kernels and then giving Lexi some as well...
the night started off weird, then terrifying, and now peaceful, and... normal. Just a guy and a girl enjoying each other's company, and he had a feeling that it was going to stay normal, and passionate for the rest of the night.
Steve Rogers was cautious when he got home. the more he thought about it, the more he wasn't looking forward to seeing what was in these folders. He was afraid of what became of his friends. The people who trusted him to help win the war, and then he left them. He hated thinking that he was frozen all that time when he could have helped fight. And after the war he could have settled down in an era he was familiar with. He could have gone to a nice little cabin in the middle of nowhere with Peggy--
Steve sat down at his kitchen table, the room completely silent as he stared at the closed folder. And then, with a sigh, he opened it.
Name: Howard Stark D.O.B.: XXXX Status: Deceased
Steve kept reading about the man he grew to respect. He seemed to have more interest in firearms after the war, starting Stark Industries as the lead company in weapons and technology... He knew he helped found S.H.I.E.L.D.... There were even comments on him having a baby boy named Anthony... but the part that interested him was the last part. "Mister Stark was assassinated while driving with his wife. Presumed to be the XXXXXX XXXXXXX." Who killed them? And why was their name crossed out?
Steve then went through all of the Howling Commandos, the team that Steve Rogers lead back in the day. The finest men he had ever met, all from different backgrounds with all different perks... They were great men, and would have followed Steve to hell if he said so...
Then his heart stopped as he saw a picture of an angel.
Name: Margaret "Peggy" Carter D.O.B.: XXXX Status: Deceased
Steve read every inch of her report. All the things she accomplished in her military career, the things he remembered her doing, how the files said she fought alongside Cap... It was a bittersweet moment when he saw that she continued a life, and married... One of the only reasons why Steve Rogers still works for S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't because he thinks they are doing the right thing, or they are the good guys... but because Peggy helped found the place... He gently put his finger tips on the picture, longing to touch her velvet skin... Before Steve could do anything else he quickly turned the page to the last ones of the file.
]Name: Captain Steven Grant Rogers, U.S. Army A.K.A.: Captain America D.O.B: July 4th, 1918; Brooklyn, New York Status: KIA, Artic Ocean, 1944
The rest of the pages were all about Steve. All his acts, where he was born, where he lived before he became a Super soldier... Most of the stuff was covered in black ink (probably Fury's doing), and then there was notes on the serum and the side effects. "Role model for starting the Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law-Enforcement Division." Steve laughed a bit. That's what it was called before 1991. This showed how dated these files were... Now S.H.I.E.L.D. stood for the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate... Then he noticed something. A piece of paper clipped to the back. He knew that hand writing. He held his breath as he read the comments of him by Miss Margaret Carter.
Captain Steve Rogers was perhaps the greatest... and sweetest man I have had the opportunity to meet. If you would have shown me him pre-serum and said he would be the symbol of hope for everyone, I wouldn't have believed it... If I had spent only five minutes with the man after that claim, I would have agreed with them almost immediately. He was a gentleman. A soldier. but most of all, he was still that man with desire to have everyone safe. He saved countless lives in prisoner camps in the war... One of those lives would eventually have been my husband. I hope he's proud of what we do... The only complaint I have about him is his ability to be late... He still owes me a dance.
Steve immediately shut the file, got up, and put a hand over his mouth, looking around, fighting the urge not to break down. He was strong. He went through a lot more... She would have probably made a friendly tease at him crying anyway...
Steve looked at the clock, noticing how long he went through everyone's files... and his advanced hearing could hear something actually very familiar... Curious Steve walked towards the door, and opened it. Sharon's apartment door was open, and inside he could hear Louie Armstrong, one of his favorites while growing up. Steve smirked a bit, and walked over to her door, peeking in. He saw the very beautiful blonde dancing and hoping around. Steve thought that this was the most adorable thing he has ever seen.
Steve knocked on the door frame, hoping she wouldn't be angry at him for being curious. "Excuse me, Miss. The neighbors are already complaining about the noise." Steve said jokingly. "But don't worry, I told them to go take a hike, because you can't turn down a legend." Steve said with a smile, looking at her. "I thought a lot of people would think this is way too old fashioned now a days..."

It was an almost perfect plan, until he heard running down the hall and a small voice. "Daddy! Dad wake up!" Ben's daughter Jamie knocked on his door, and continued down the hall to wake her brother up too.<br><br>Ben got out of the bed, running a hand through his messy brown hair before drawing the curtains to view the beautiful Virginia forest. He walked across to the room to a nightstand with a picture of a beautiful woman holding a small boy, with the brightest smile in the world. "Buongiorno mio amore" He muttered, touching the picture lightly before walking into the bathroom, getting ready for the day. <br><br>Minutes later he came down the stairs dressed in a dark blue sweater, some worn jeans and sneakers. <br><br>"Just cereal..." Jamie replied, hard at work. <br><br>"The school fair is today, and you promised to help, remember?" He had been going through so much recently with the legal papers and Marco acting up in school, that he had forgotten all about the fair! "Yeah, I remember sweetheart... I'll be there. Marco! Hurry up, don't make me come up there!" <br><br>A couple seconds later Ben's oldest, Marco walked down, not saying a word, only grabbing a bagel from the kitchen counter. "You get your work done, Big Guy? I'm not going to get a note to sign tonight for bad behavior?" Ben asked, looking over at him as he helped Jamie put things in her backpack. Marco shook his head. "Can we go now? We're going to be late."<br><br>"Well maybe if someone came down on time we shouldn't be. Come on sweetheart. Everyone in the car! You all got your lunches, right?" <br><br>----<br><br>The car rides to school were not the most heartfelt and happiest. "Alright Little one, when does your fair start?"<br><br>"Five o'clock. But volunteers need to be there an hour early to set things up."<br><br>"Four o'clock. Got it. And... what did you sign me up to do, exactly?"<br><br>"I don't know, the school figures that out, I just put you on the list!"<br><br>"Alright, mio amore, I'll be there. Have a good day, I love you." He gave her a kiss on the forehead before letting her go off to her class. He stood next to his car, watching her meet up with her friends. She didn't seem as embarrassed of him as Marco was, it was probably because she was letting him cope with this all. She was a smart girl, too smart if you asked him.<br><br>He looked next to him to see a couple of parents (especially mothers) staring over at him.
