Those are pretty much my go to's, but I'm willing to hear out any idea and think about it!
Here's an example of my writing to give you a sense of my "skill" I guess... I keep trying to get better and better so bear with me!
Benjamin West woke up to a loud alarm, and the sun shining through the window and into his eyes. groaned a little as he hit the snooze button, and fell back down onto his pillow. It was an almost perfect plan, until he heard running down the hall and a small voice. "Daddy! Dad wake up!" Ben's daughter Jamie knocked on his door, and continued down the hall to wake her brother up too.
Ben got out of the bed, running a hand through his messy brown hair before drawing the curtains to view the beautiful Virginia forest. He walked across to the room to a nightstand with a picture of a beautiful woman holding a small boy, with the brightest smile in the world. "Buongiorno mio amore" He muttered, touching the picture lightly before walking into the bathroom, getting ready for the day.
Minutes later he came down the stairs dressed in a dark blue sweater, some worn jeans and sneakers. He didn't have a traditional job in the morning, but he did have the all-time job of being a dad. He made his way into the kitchen, a traditional style that Maria helped remodel. Jamie was sitting at the island, finishing some of her homework. Ben rubbed his hand on her head, and walked to the kitchen. "What will it be, Little One? Pancakes? Cereal, eggs?" He asked, turning on the stove.
"Just cereal..." Jamie replied, hard at work. "Just cereal, you got it... Hey, is Marco up? Marco!" Ben yelled, walking to the pantry to receive some cereal. "Daddy, you're still going to help today, right?" Jamie asked. "Yeah, yeah... wait, help with what?" He asked, handing his daughter a bowl and pouring milk in.
"The school fair is today, and you promised to help, remember?" He had been going through so much recently with the legal papers and Marco acting up in school, that he had forgotten all about the fair! "Yeah, I remember sweetheart... I'll be there. Marco! Hurry up, don't make me come up there!"
A couple seconds later Ben's oldest, Marco walked down, not saying a word, only grabbing a bagel from the kitchen counter. "You get your work done, Big Guy? I'm not going to get a note to sign tonight for bad behavior?" Ben asked, looking over at him as he helped Jamie put things in her backpack. Marco shook his head. "Can we go now? We're going to be late."
"Well maybe if someone came down on time we shouldn't be. Come on sweetheart. Everyone in the car! You all got your lunches, right?"
----
The car rides to school were not the most heartfelt and happiest. It was debating on what to listen to on the radio, mixed with passive aggressive remarks from Marco, to Ben giving a speech on how he needs to help out and grow up. When they parked in front of the school, Marco immediately left without saying a word. "Yeah, Love you too!" Ben yelled after him, getting out of the car to help Jamie out. "Alright Little one, when does your fair start?"
"Five o'clock. But volunteers need to be there an hour early to set things up."
"Four o'clock. Got it. And... what did you sign me up to do, exactly?"
"I don't know, the school figures that out, I just put you on the list!"
"Alright, mio amore, I'll be there. Have a good day, I love you." He gave her a kiss on the forehead before letting her go off to her class. He stood next to his car, watching her meet up with her friends. She didn't seem as embarrassed of him as Marco was, it was probably because she was letting him cope with this all. She was a smart girl, too smart if you asked him.
He looked next to him to see a couple of parents (especially mothers) staring over at him. He was famous in a sense, he made a lot of interviews and did a lot of crazy things on his old show that many people would see him as a perfect human being... But he didn't feel that at all. He gave an awkward smile and wave to the crowd, getting into the car before any of them could dive into small talk. He didn't hate talking to people, it was just... difficult. Especially right now.
He would probably do what he did every day. He would call some buddies he had that were still talking about a new season for his show (and politely turn them down), clean the house, and then apparently help at this school fair. It was a change of pace from what he used to do, but this was still just as challenging.
If you have any questions about my RP's, or future ones just shoot me a PM!
All of these people are amazing writers and friends and if you happen to RP with them consider yourself lucky! XD
and for a final note: THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOBBY, NOT A CHORE! I never want to put pressure on you, or myself and make any RP feel like you NEED to post, or have to force yourself to write. This is supposed to be fun, and I'll do anything to make sure it feels that way :)
Peter was surprised to see Nikki just stop and gasp for air. Worry and concern was rushing through his mind and he put a hand on her arm as she leaned on the wall, and when she was sliding down to the floor, he caught her. He had no idea what to do in this situation. Sure he's almost died from lack of oxygen all the time. He saved Gamora once from dying in space when they first assembled their team. But never has he seen this. Whatever Zero did to her really effected her health. Peter carefully helped her in the ship, taking her to her room in the ship, and Peter rushing to the new medical wing of the ship. (who would've thought that they would get hurt a lot when titled the Guardians of the Galaxy?). He brought anything that might help her, but he was no doctor.
"Nikki's in some bad shape, she just kneeled over and started gasping and fainting..." Peter said to Gamora, she took the items from Quill. "I'll take care of this. I'll need some space. Keep Rocket a far distance, and don't tell him about it." She said before quickly making her way towards Nikki's room. His thoughts went back to what Zero did to Nikki. Constant fear, running for her life, almost killing her... He was just like the bullies he fought back when he was a kid on earth. He hated bullies.
----
The door to the darker parts of the ship slid open. The room was filled with a dull red light, the hum of the engines echoing through. Behind a large force field, Zero sat sitting, his hair over his face, breathing heavily. Peter stepped in, and the large bounty hunter laughed, looking up. He was clearly still on those tranquilizers. "Staaar Lord..." He said with a smile. Peter didn't say anything. He walked over to his cell, and knelt down, glaring at the man. "I won't stay in prison for long. I've escaped so many times. The food sucks... The prisoners are weak... But I will get my target. I always do." His voice a big exaggerated and slow.
"You won't lay a finger on anyone ever again. Not on a target, not on Nikki, not on anyone." Quill said coldly. Zero laughed. "I remember hearing stories about you. The 'infamous Star-Lord.' You and I aren't that different... We want to fly through the galaxy with no consequence. We'd do anything for the right price, even betray your own people. I'm surprised you haven't turned her in yet... Maybe its because she hasn't slept with you yet? Another legend that follows Star-Lord. Although i'm surprised you'd stoop so low as to actually try and seduce something as filthy and undeserving as a Metra--"
Peter slammed his fist against the side of the cell. Glaring at the man with deep hatred, Zero stood up to be level with Quill, giving a crooked smile. "Struck a nerve, eh Terran? But it isn't your style to attack from the front. Let your friends do the dirty work, and then take the credit. When I break out, after i'm done getting the Metra, I'll be coming after you--"
He was cut off by a blaster going off. Zero looked down to see a wound in his side. Nothing lethal, but it will shut him up. Peter held his weapon by his waist, staring at Zero dead in the eye. Normally he would be terrified. He looked just like the things he would see on Saturday morning cartoons when he was a kid. But he felt nothing but hatred. he barely knew the guy, but he took everything he did personally. All he could think was "He hurt her."
Peter shot again twice, both non lethal again, and once Zero fell back to the floor, he tossed some medical supplies in the cell with him. He thought he made his point rather well. "The only reason you're alive is because we need the money." Quill said before holstering his weapon, and walking out of the room.
----
Peter knocked on the door of Nikki's room, not waiting for a response. he was a bit too anxious to see how Nikki was doing. "Hey, how is she?" Peter asked. He had time to change in to a terran-style blue t-shirt, his weapons and jacket no longer on his body. His face was full of concern, and still a bit of anger from his chat with Zero.
Raymond frowned at the red head's response to his question. Her phone was out too? He glanced down at his phone yet again before putting it in his pocket in defeat. Great. He wondered if there were any payphones around that he could try to use. Her voice snapped him back in to reality, looking at her when she said he looked new, and had some place else to be. He nodded, looking around at the other citizens again before back at her. "Yeah, heading up to Indianapolis..." Raymond said. He didn't go in to details. One he just met the girl, and didn't want to bore her with his sob story, and he was getting weird vibes from this place, and was hesitant to trust the people here.
The thought of wanting to stay in Terry Town any longer wasn't very appealing. What exactly was there to see in this town? A bunch of depressed looking people and a cute red head who had a good singing voice? He was sure he could find that anywhere else, but looking at the girl again, there was a sense of desperation. She was the first one to really have a conversation with him in this town, not even the people in that little restaurant said a combination of ten words to him. He gave a smile and nod. "Sounds good."
Together they walked, Raymond's hands in his pockets as the red head was next to him. "I didn't catch your name before. I'm Raymond Chase." The man said looking over at her again. Might as well try to be friendly, he hasn't talked to anyone in person for a while, this road trip was a long one.
I still am! I'm really sorry, it was a mix of a very busy schedule, and writer's block, and i'm back now! haha tomorrow will be a free one, so i'll get a reply up by then!
Robert shrugged at her rather harsh words of not being able to get stood up if it was non existent. But he agreed with her nonetheless. He ordered a glass of his favorite scotch. When she said she was expecting to run in to someone, he turned his attention to her. "I know I've been gone for a while, but the Marian Anderson I remember was smart, loyal, caring, beautiful... If you're half of anything you used to be, this guy you're waiting for is really going to miss out." Robert said casually, nodding a thanks to the bartender as he came back for his drink. "What's this guy like? Obviously nothing like Eddy. And I'm guessing not a cocky lawyer who fell on his ass. He's gotta be someone great to get your attention."
He was somewhat enjoying this. Guilting her a bit from all the things he's heard about him from others, knowing exactly who she was waiting for, and he really wanted to know what she thought of him-- well, Robin Hood... But he was the same guy! And hopefully he wasn't being too much like his old self. He hadn't told her how "hot she looked." he didn't tell her she should be more focused on him, and he tried so very hard not to look her up and down, even though his mind was pleading to look at her in all her glory. If he really needed to he could spark her interest in saying he knew a thing or two about this masked man, but at the same time he didn't want to play it that way.
He already was head over heels for her, and he wanted her to fall for him. He didn't really want to trick her in to liking him. And no, this wasn't a form of tricking. This was simply using his resources to get her to talk to Robin to show her that he's not the asshole he used to be. Worst case scenario: She falls for Robin, and Robin can show her his real identity-- But that's the last resort. He didn't like the idea of revealing himself as Robin Hood and then getting laughed at, or vomiting for thinking she was attracted to him, or anything like that...
Quill would have definitely been more focused on the large, ugly bounty hunter trying to kill them. He would have tried to save his neck more than trying to save someone else. But right now his focus was on the blue haired woman gasping for air. It wasn't until Nikki pulled him down by his shirt that he just realized how close Zero was to slicing his head off. Nikki leapt in to action almost immediately after that, leaving Quill right there. He found that Zero was swinging at him again, and he quickly activated his rockets on his shoes to shoot him away from his range. He hit the alley way wall, but got up quickly.
Everyone was on him, Rocket screaming and shooting, Groot also screaming, Drax laughing, and Nikki and Gamora screaming with rage. Quill couldn't go up against that guy. He was a good brawler, but when it came to actual hand-to-hand combat with a professional, it wasn't going to happen. What he did have were his blasters, and gadgets in his satchel. Peter rushed towards Zero, using his rockets to give him a small boost when he jumped on the large bounty hunter's back, and planted a device on the square of his back. Peter was swatted off, but Almost immediately two wires exploded from it, grabbing his arms by the wrist and pulling them back. Confused, Zero howled in rage, and in seconds he tore the wires apart. Soon everyone was thrown far away from him. Peter still had his blasters though!
But he didn't need to use them. Instead Nikki and Gamora worked together (weird I know) to inject the last of the tranquilizer in to the large man's throat. After a few seconds, the man fell to the floor. The whole crowd was breathing heavily, Peter pressed the button to get rid of his helmet. "Holy shit..." Rocket muttered.
A crowd had formed to see what the whole fight was about. Everyone seemed just as shocked. "Yeah, that's right! The Guardians just took out ZERO! We can take on anything the galaxy throws at us!" Rocket yelled to the crowd. Quill pulled out from his bag a metallic sphere, and he lightly tossed it at Zero. a dozen cables sprang out, and wrapped themselves around the unconscious killer. If he showed any sign of restraint the cables were packed with enough electricity to power a small colony. Peter looked at Nikki, giving a nod to her. He was a man of his word.
---------
"Throw him in the hostile room. We'll make a quick trip to Xandar to turn this clown in to Nova Corps." Quill said, walking up the ramp of the Milano as Groot carried Zero in to the ship. He stood at the entrance, waiting for the rest of the team to get in. "Told you we'd get the guy, Princess." Quill said to Nikki as she walked by, a smug smile on his face. He was happy that they were true to their word, happy to be getting money out of this, and more importantly to him, making sure that Nikki was safe after being on the run for so many years.
Although the thought of him hacking in to Marian's computer so they could get a chance to talk was a bit weird, he pushed that thought aside as he changed in two a black V-neck sweater, some jeans, and comfortable shoes. His messy brown hair in place, a wide, tooth revealing, smile, and a very small splash of cologne, and hew as good! As he walked out of his room and Gwen saying that it seemed to work. Robert grinned and grabbed his coat, patting Gwen on the head. "God job, kid! Wish me luck!" With that he walked out of the door, and in to the New York night.
---
When Robert arrived there was the smell of delicious food of all sorts, people talking, music playing, the bar filled. Robert moved his way past the crowds, not slipping his hands in to others' pockets in an attempt to get more money. Not everyone in this city deserved to be robbed. He kept glancing around the area, trying to spot the beautiful blonde. Did she even go to this place? Did she decide to get some rest, or called her dad so that he could possibly catch this guy? All his answered were answered when he saw the white dress. He would have been drooling about her if he didn't get bumped from behind, knocking him back in to the real world. Okay, Robin. You got this. He casually made his way towards the bar, seeing an empty spot near Marian. He then gave a laugh and shook his head. "Marian Anderson. Of all the people to run in to." Robert said with a smile, leaning on the bar, staring forward, waiting for the bartender to come over so he could order a drink. "Looks like I wasn't the only one who thought the idea of eating at the sea side restaurant was too tempting to turn down. Even if I did come here alone." Robert glanced over at her, raising an eyebrow.
"You are here alone, right? I didn't get 'stood up' on our non existent date?" Robert asked jokingly, knowing the real reason she was here, but he had to make sure this looked authentic.
Steve was impressed on just how far Sharon would go to do this, his eyebrows raised at her incredible demands! When told that she didn't know if she could possibly put it on Natasha's tab, Steve stepped in again. "That's alright. She actually 'gave' me her credit card. We'll be good to go." Steve said with an assuring smile. The waitress glanced hesitantly at the card Steve pulled out, but he didn't wave it around. He wanted to keep her on edge. She walked off, and Steve then looked over at Sharon, leaning forward a bit. "she's beginning to crack. I now bet a back massage, a romantic night, and a kiss that I can get her to yell at me." Steve said with a small smile, leaning back in to his seat. Although the waitress kept making glances towards the two. They kept their conversation light.
It was so hard not to act like themselves here. They had to keep the charade up that they only knew each other on a professional level, when that wasn't the case. He liked to think he knew a lot about this woman he was falling in love with... Was this love? Steve was new at this. For most of his life he never felt a woman's touch, or any real affection. He didn't really know what love was. But he did know that her touch was the most calming yet electrifying thing he's ever felt. He knew that her smile could make him fall to his knees. He knew that with all of this chaos, and uncertainty, and fear, he could find peace when she was near him. If this was love he was feeling, he didn't want it to stop.
The waitress came back with their requested orders, and it barely fit on the table. Steve looked at Sharon, and then looked at the food with a look of disappointment. "Is something wrong, sir?" The waitress asked. "Oh, no... Its just, we were talking and decided that we would much rather have some finer dining tonight. I mean, sitting here in this place dressed like this?" Steve asked. He didn't mean a word he was saying, but he had to act in some way (even though he was a very bad liar).
He stood up, hoping Sharon would follow his lead. He looked at the waitress with a shocked expression. "This diner has very good food sir, and its a great first date spot, and--"
"I'm sure it is. And we won't leave without paying. Still have our friend's card." Steve pulled out his wallet to pull the card out yet again. The waitress in a very quick and sudden motion snatched the card out of Steve's hand, glaring at it, then her eyes looked back up at him with uneasy calmness. She glanced over at Sharon, then handed Steve his credit card. "How long did you know?" Their friend, Natasha Romanoff asked.
"We had our suspicions. Look, we appreciate the effort, and know you're trying to do this for our happiness... But as I told you a million times, i'm fine where i'm at. And I'm sure Miss Carter feels the same way." He looked at the food, and then handed her his card again. "I'll pay for it all. Add a nice tip." He then turned to Sharon, holding out his arm for her to take.
As they walked out, Natasha called out for them. "where are you going?"
"I won. I owe Miss carter a romantic night on the town." Steve said as they left the small diner, having a feeling that Natasha won't be following them this time.
Robert kept going through files, searching things up about familiar names of CEO's or people high up in politics. His jacket was off, his tie a bit loose, and his sleeves rolled up as he glared at the screen or files. He never realized how hungry he was until he looked up and smelled the pizza the man in his office was holding. He explained how he knew he didn't eat today, and his eyebrows were raised in confusion. Who would buy him a pizza? His first day back, and people were too surprised to talk to him, or even know that very little known fact. Then it occurred to him that it could be courtesy of the beautiful blonde he was in love with, and he gave a smile. "Thank you very much... But, here's a tip." Robert pulled out a twenty dollar bill and handed it to him, which he eager accepted. Once he left, Robert consumed a lot of pizza in a short time, and continuing his work but thinking about the kind act that Marian did for him... Maybe he should do the same for her... In a sneaky, charming little way. Maybe he could get that official unofficial date with her after all tonight.
---------
Later that night Robert was back in his apartment, his laptop and files now here as well. He also had one of the members of the Merry Men with her. Gwen Hathaway sat behind her laptop on his couch. "You sure you want to do this? I mean, its romantic-- but in a very creepy way." She called out to him. Robert was in his bedroom trying to pick out something casual, but nice. "I'm positive! Just hack the computer, and find that 'Robin Hood' and 'Steelport Seaside Bar and Grill' happen to have something in common." Hopefully she would be curious enough to go there, and when Robin Hood doesn't show up, Robert will be there, and they will start talking, and she will get to see the new and improved Robert! Well, that was the plan at least. He hoped she wasn't still too mad or thought badly of Robert because of his past... he couldn't blame her though.
"Alright.... And, it begins." She said as she started hacking in the computer of Marian Anderson.
Everyone was in position at the bar Nikki chose. Gamora was at the other end of the bar, leaning on the table as she took a small sip of her drink. Rocket was hustling some thieves with Groot by his side. Drax was standing outside on lookout, and Peter Quill sat at a booth, tapping his fingers and every once in a while glancing over at Nikki to keep an eye on her. Quill was surprised to see an order of potato fries and beer being brought to his table, but when he figured it out, he gave a small smirk and laugh, taking a sip of the beer and eating a bit to ease his nerves. It was only a matter of time before the weird creature known as "Grip" appeared. He almost immediately saw Nikki, and made his way toward her. "Alright, everyone. Be ready..." Quill said quietly, the rest of the team being able to hear him because of their communication system.
The conversation didn't last long, and for a little bit Nikki made her leave to the bathroom. Gamora stared at Grip, then at Peter. "Drax, the pig is coming out. Follow him." She said quietly. Peter kept drinking and eating, giving smiles and nods to some of the women who passed, not because he was flirting, but it was his character. He had to act natural. And now they were on the move. Peter had to literally drag Rocket out of the bar because he got caught in the middle of a card game he was "absolutely going to win."
"Look, I'm worried about her too, but this place is so crowded, there's no way he could get her alone in the time I could have made it big! And if she did, you gave her those tranqs that could take out a whole army." Rocket said as he walked by Peter's side. "We're not here to get money, we're here to get this guy off the street... which will give up a pretty penny."
"You guys have you're moments, but all in all you're despicable." Gamora said through their earpiece. "Don't be too gentle, toots." Rocket said jokingly. Nikki was easy to spot in this crowd, even with all the diverse species around her. They kept their distance, following, snaking through the crowds, trying to act casual. "Quill, I lost sight of the swine. He went in to a guarded house, and never came out."
Nikki turned in to a corner in the alley way. "Alright, well come back to our position. We're still following the Prin--" There he was, a vial sticking out of his arm, choking Nikki, staring at her with amusement. He was one of the ugliest things Peter had ever seen, and he lived with the Ravagers for quite some time. Peter pressed the device behind his ear, his signature mask forming on to his face. He pulled out his guns. "We got him! Everyone at my location!" Peter said. Rocket pulled out his large automatic grenade launcher, and Groot went to action.
"I Am Groot!" he yelled, swiping a long branch arm in the gut of Zero. He flew down the alley, hitting a pile of garbage, but he quickly got up and glared at them with a smile. "Ah... The infamous 'Guardians of the Galaxy.'" He looked at Nikki who was gasping for air. "You hired them to help you? You seem desperate." Zero was kicked in the face by the side. Gamora came from the other alleyway that joined this one. Gamora had the reputation for being the deadliest assassin in the galaxy. This guy wasn't going to take away her reputation.
Drax also appeared next to Rocket and Peter, his iconic swords drawn, his face smiling. "Finally. A battle." He said. Peter raised his blasters. "You want to make this easy, tough guy? Or do you want to try and take us?" Quill called out. Zero smiled, and pointed his hook at them. "Big talk from a Terran, Not many live long enough to threaten me. Let's see if your actions are louder than your words."
The team went to action. Peter threw a few metal spheres at Zero as he charged, the balls turning to electric wires meant to tie down a person. He easily sliced them in mid air and made for Rocket. Groot intercepted him and kicked him away, but Zero held on using the hook. He swung off him, and went to take on Drax in a very fast and very awesome looking sword-hook fight... But Peter was making his way towards Nikki. "You alright?" He asked, helping her up, hearing Rocket scream and his gun firing behind him.
Her blue eyes, her blonde hair, the way she dressed and looked over at him. Every single thing she did right now was making him feel dizzy and willing to do anything she told him to do. "I was a bit uncomfortable when I got here alone... but seeing you made feel a bit at ease." Steve said with a nod. He felt overdressed here, but now that he saw Sharon looking more beautiful than Steve could ever begin to describe, he didn't feel uncomfortable. When Sharon bet him a kiss that the waiter was their "friend" in disguise, Steve gave a smile, looking at his menu. "You're on. I also bet you a romantic night on the town that I can get her to break character." Steve said, waving the waitress over to the couple. As she was walking over he leaned over to talk to Sharon in a whisper. "Pick the most expensive thing, follow my lead." Steve said before leaning back and looking at his menu.
Natasha was the queen of espionage and playing a character. But Steve was also good at getting people to break that character. Back in the War, there were suspicions of spies everywhere, and Cap and his Howling Commandos knew little tricks on how to get people out of character...
Once the waitress appeared again, Steve looked up at her and gave a smile. "I think we're ready to order. See, while talking about what we wanted, she bet me I couldn't eat five of the deluxe cheeseburgers here, and a stack of pancakes." Steve said, looking at Sharon, then back at her. "So I'm going to need those things, plus the largest glass of pop you can get me. Oh, and we'll be putting this on our friend's tab who set us up." Steve looked at the waitress, trying to see any surprise in her face.
Steve could easily eat all of those things, with his giant metabolism. And if Natasha was going to set them up against their will, she was going to pay for it-- literally.
