Hello! I'm Jones! and if you stumbled upon my page, I must have struck your interest!
I like to think that I'm a storyteller. I joined this site to create characters, and worlds I can put myself in. Every post I make will be to the best of my ability, and I hope anyone who stumbles upon my name can see that :D

-I have been RP'ing for over ten years now so I got some experience
- I do my best to try and have a wide range of RP genres
-I'm mostly do 1X1's and Casual/advanced RP's

Like i said previously, I’m a high school teacher, so there are specific times of the year where I get bombarded with things so I might not be on for a couple days, and if that's the case I'm trying to let anyone know so they aren't left wondering.
But like I said I love it when people contact me and ask if I want to RP with them, or have an idea and want my skills, and odds are I love the same thing, so If anyone wants to collab just shoot me a PM!

and for a final note: THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOBBY, NOT A CHORE! I never want to put pressure on you, or myself and make any RP feel like you NEED to post, or have to force yourself to write. This is supposed to be fun, and I'll do anything to make sure it feels that way :)

The year is 2280. One hundred years ago, the planet Earth discovered the secret to space travel, and it didn't take them long to find extra terrestrial life. Within years humans made their way in to the galactic space committee designed to keep peace within the galaxy. Human involvement quickly started to develop, and in only a 20 year time period, a human was head of the Galactic Committee.
Since then there have been alien interactions, allies, treaties, and more... Earth and other planets have sent expeditions to travel to distant, unknown planets to see what is there, chart them, and learn about the inhabitants... At first there were many volunteers, but it didn't take long for it to be a death sentence to sign up. In These times of happiness, and exploration there are always criminals.
The Galactic Committee devised a plan, and made it law stating that any criminal caught guilty could be charged with their sentence, or can "volunteer" to join the Expedition force.. Most people who sign up die within weeks... but one team lead by a notorious criminal has seemed to live the longest, and solving some galactic tension. They are called the Marauders. Although composed of some criminals, some of the galaxy's best join the team for the adventure, or the thrill of fighting. The criminals working for the Committee have precautions on them that make sure they don't escape or turn sides against them... but success comes with benefits.
As of right now the Marauders is the team that is keeping the galaxy in order, ironically.... Do you have what it takes to be a Marauder?

1) This is a Sci-Fi RP, so please please please feel free to create a race or some sort of awesome character! haha originality is awesome!
2) This RP will have us going to different planets, before we go to one We'll discuss what this planet will consist of so it isn't stereotypical and stuff like that haha
3)This is your RP just as much as its mine
4) Don't be a douchebag.

Bio: The last time I saw my dad was when i was 10, and he had a bullet in each lung, and the head. I was born on Earth, but then traveled light years away to a small farming planet.Some of the farmers there thought that they were being mistreated, and weren't getting their fair pay... So some got the idea that starting a rebellion. They almost immediately got caught, and had the nerve to accuse my father of being the man behind it all... My father denied the accusations, and he being the stubborn bastard he is, didn't give in... They breached our house, and shot my father who tried to defend my mother, his name, and I...
My mother died of shock a little bit later, leaving me to fend for myself, with a deep hatred for the Galactic committee. I smuggled my way on to a ship, and traveled to a grimy, dirty place full of giant skyscrapers and scum bags... I learned to fit in very quickly. From then on I climbed my way up the criminal ladder. I stole, I cheated, i fought, I blew stuff up, and sometimes murdered if it was a good reason (like the man responsible for my father's death). It was mostly related to the Committee though. Soon enough i was a wanted man.I "borrowed" a big, fast ship that once belonged to a friend of mine until he was shot down in a firefight. I was notorious for being able to escape the grasps of police or soldier squadrons. I was respected around the galaxy But i was captured while trying to retrieve information for a client (I just got in to the Mercenary business). Standing in front of the council, i had the choice of the death sentence, or to join the ever so popular "Expedition unit"
I accepted... I was now a part of the thing i hated the most. My ship was issued under the Committee, and I started as a crew member. After showing my skills with a rifle and stealth, i ranked up. I was the last survivor of my original squad as well, and i was then "promoted" to a Captain, and got my ship back... Its been a year now. My team and I are the record holders for longest lasting expedition team so far. We call ourselves The Marauders. Its a very fitting title for our group of misfits. Although most of us are criminals, and don't really trust easily... I think we've been through enough to have some sort of comfort knowing that we got each other's backs...
Personality: Bit cocky, and a smartass. Doesn't trust easily, but is loyal to all his crew members he's known for a while. Also very persuasive, suave, and although he hates the Galactic Committee, he tries to be nice to civilians that are nice back. Stubborn, very courageous, and a quick thinker.
Weapon(s) : A rifle with many settings on it (flametorch, water hose, laser, stun, etc.), and a small pen looking object that when placed in the palm shoots out a laser whip.
Family/Relationships: Anyone interested, let me know!
Other: Has a faint scar on his upper lip from the Committee invading his house when he was 10.
