@PlatinumSkink I find it rather amusing, since he is the second Joshua Amelia knows. Her friend from her hometown, who helped her out, is also named Joshua
New protag hype

Well now. I wonder what other cards can be thrown in the mess up the meta.

Probably some archetype that will have several banned cards shortly after they come out cause such and such combo is too broken and said cards will be banned shortly after release.
@Joshua Tamashii Alright. Tactics. Now to convince myself of the physics with which Smog works. Haha. Nicely posted.

@Pikmin Eye Yeah, given the circumstances, not much else you can do. Haha. Anyway. Nicely posted.

@Eklispe I will note the average Aron is 0.4 meters tall. It's not exactly as if Dawkin can hide behind him if he charges, unless he's crawling right behind the headbutting Pokémon. That said, not saying getting to the middle is impossible.

Amelia had a few lessons and she's not the brute force type. That being said, Ghost-types are not for brute force types.

Amelia calmly watched her opponent and listened to Joshua's instructions. It seemed they were going to try and take advantage of Pichu's speed to try and make this a close range battle, which they would probably win given how Pichu was faster. So, she would have to make that idea a bit less appealing to them and she hoped her idea would work.
"Litwick, aim at the ground at an angle and use Smog!" She said. Her partner did as instructed, releasing a cloud of poisonous gas at the grand at a angle, in the hope if it fanning out while still moving towards their opponent.
@PlatinumSkink part of me is wondering what the professor and the elite four member (drawing a blank on his name) were whispering about.

Amelia used the time that Joshua moved away to check her own pokedex. Litwick's ability was probably going to be useless for this battle. However, she saw it had four moves, three of which where offensive in nature and one defensive. Not only that, but they were various types and could be used various ways. Once she had them memorized, she put her pokedex away and turned back to the battlefield. She heard Joshua's instructions to his Pichu and Amelia responded in kind.
"Litwick, use Ember." She said calmly. The Candle Pokémon inhaled briefly before breathing out a spray of, well, embers on a collision course with her opponent's lightning.
Joshua Tamashii

@Roseletta

Joshua bit back a retort as Cecilia mocked him for blushing, not wanting to start a scene between himself and a sentient cat. He let out a small chuckle as he watched Amaya stuff Cecilia in her bag and close it, leaving enough of an opening to Cecelia to continue getting fresh air. Joshua was willing to bet that would only grant them a few minutes of peace before the taunter came back out so he would take advantage of that.

"So, do you want to get a dress or are you fine with something you already have? If you want to go dress shopping, I'll be happy to accompany you, though I don't know how much help I'll be." He said, a small smile playing his face.

Elyse smiled as she held onto Ryu's hand, following her family along. Once they were at the hotel, she rushed over to her mother's side and tugged on Rose's dress, a big toothy grin on her face.
"Mommy, are Unca and Grandpa coming to live with us?" She asked. She had heard the talk of guild marks more then enough times to know that if someone was getting one, it meant that they were likely joining the guild and going to start living there.

Amelia meanwhile, moved away from everyone and took a seat nearby, her expression troubled and she quickly lost herself in troubled thoughts over the rush of feelings she had felt when Ryu had asked her out.

@Zarkun

Pyrrha thought about the offer before shaking her head.
"I think I'll have Krystal help me. She has a good sense of fashion and then I get to surprise you." She said with a smile. "I'm sure it would be fun to see your reaction, though, I hope she doesn't select something too embarrassing."

Amelia watched as the Professor treated the pokemon, taking in the information that came out of their exchange. Apparently, Rotom belonged to a trainer here and had irritated them. Secondly, it was exaggerating it's injury but this didn't surprise her too much and she let it slide without comment. She had spent her entire life around Ghost-Types and knew they could be mischievous little things, playing of ones emotions to get what they want or be treated a certain way.

Once the little guy was on his way, she turned to the Professor once addressed. She listened to everything the professor said, nodding every now and then to show she understood. Most of it was fairly simple and it sounded like the pokedex would be handling most of the work for her. When asked if she had any questions, the young girl shook her head silently. When the Professor finally handed her a pokeball, Amelia took it tentatively and examined it before speaking.
"It's a Ghost-type." She said, her tone making it obvious this was a statement rather then a question. A small smile played on her face as she pressed the button in the center of the ball twice, once to enlarge it to full size, the second to release the pokemon inside.

"Lit!" The little, candle like pokemon said happily as it was released. Amelia's smile grew a bit as she recognized the pokemon as a Litwick but still scanned it with her pokedex, just to get used to it and to hopefully get the money out of scanning her new partner. Extra cash never hurt. Once she declined the opportunity to nickname it, she knelt down and gently lifted the little guy up, getting stared at curiously in response.
"You and I are going to be friends from now on. Nice to meet you." She said, giving the little guy a smile. Litwick let out a cry of approval and Amelia let out a small giggle before placing him on top of her head. "You can stay there. You don't deserve to be stuck in a ball."

Before she could spend much time with her new partner, another trainer approached and began talking to them. Amelia's face immediately became a brilliant crimson at being called 'cute' and she quickly looked away in embarrassment. She still paid attention to this new trainer, whose name was Joshua, and his partner, Pichu. The two seemed friendly enough and challenged them to a battle. Amelia hesitated to respond, biting her lip as she considered the proposition.

Her partner, on the other hand, already knew what it wanted and jumped down to the ground from it's perch.
"Litwick Li!" It declared, pointing at the Pichu with a confident look on it's face.

Amelia looked down at her partner before nodding and looking at Joshua.
"I... accept." She said quietly.

Interaction: Amaya Vanisis @Roseletta Location: Festival

"While I don't see the appeal of pure ice myself, I'm sure you'll like this stuff a bit once you try it." Joshua said, taking a seat next to Amaya after she took the cone he had offered her, enjoying his own. His eyes scanned the crowd, taking in the variety of people who where here. That's what made festivals fun, that no matter who you were and where you came from, festivals where something every culture had and everyone could enjoy. Part of him wished for a fighting tournament to be announced but he knew with the Grand Magic Games coming up, there would be no point. Best none of the possible contestants got hurt before the big event.

Hearing Amaya speak, he turned towards her again before looking back at the crowd.
"Festivals are a part of all cultures. They allow us to celebrate so many things, be they the day of your birth, a holiday, an accomplishment, or something concerning one's culture, like a religious festival." He said before seeing her stand up. She suggested that they go mingle with their fellow guild mates, to which he nodded, standing up as well. Seeing Amaya gain a rather nervous air, he smiled before placing a hand on her head and gently ruffling her hair a bit. "Don't worry, I'll be right here. And if anyone bothers you, I'll chase them away. Also, I have some free money, so if you see something you want, I'll try and get it for you. Sound okay to you?"
@PlatinumSkinkI look forward to getting a response. But for now, bed. It's late and I need sleep.
