Roxy felt the show off heading towards her. His energy was unmistakable. He was definitely more than a halfbreed. She didn't turn her attention towards him though. She refused to reveal more than she had to. She wanted them to underestimate her. She was small and petite. But she had long ago learned to use that to that to her advantage. Let them think she was weak. She would prove them wrong when the time was right.

Just before the boy stopped Roxy pulled a knife from her boot. She never went anywhere without a few hidden on her. She twirled it like a baton. Threatening and yet not. "If you get any closer I will stab you." She told him bluntly. She wasn't lying or bragging. Just stating a fact. "What do you have in mind?" While she wasn't usually the type to help others she was willing to consider the request.

Be my Sanctuary

Roxy turned and looked when she heard the older woman say they were going to head out. But she didn't stand or look away from her phone. She had spent the time doing research, something she hated immensely. She had found nothing useful. All the articles talked about trust being the key. Since that wasn't going to happen anytime in the near future she hadn't bothered reading the articles. She didn't see the point of wasting her time.

She waited while they talked. It was a farewell speech without the goodbye. She didn't understand why they were bothering. They all had to climb back into the car and head to the garage together. All this awkward saddness was a waste of time."Stop acting like you won't see each other for months. You can visit whenever you want. It doesn't matter to me. Eventually it won't even affect me."

@Blueflame A god and a grim reaper aren't necessarily the same thing. A god would have to be a teacher. So you need a class he could teach.

After watching some of the others Roxy felt better about her less than impressive power. The shadows would good for spying and killing but she had no desire to do either. She sort of felt sorry for the wine girl. It didn't seem like she was all that powerful. Still eventually she would be able to use those vines. It made Roxy a little wary of showing what she could do. The last thing she wanted to do was reveal the fact that she wasn't very power to the others.

But Roxy knew she wouldn't be given a choice. So the question was did she step forward on her own or get called out? She wasn't the type to volunteer. She had never done anything without being forced to do so. But she was trying to start a new life. One where she took control of her life. She waited to see if anyone else would step up. If not then she would show the little she knew she could do.
