Katherin nodded. That helped a lot. Now she had an idea of how far to step down. She slowly made her way down the stairs. It was a slow process. She hoped that she wasn't in anyone's way. People tended to get frustrated when the had to deal with her disability. While she couldn't change that she tried to be as little of an inconvenience as she could manage.

She heard the others talking about their powers as she reached the bottom. She was looking forward to getting to know the others. Hopefully the benefactor was being truthful when he said that the others had powers like hers. If he was telling the truth maybe she would finally have a place she could belong to. A boy named Jasper had finished introducing himself when she reached the bottom of the stairs. It wasn't much of an introduction though.

"And What is your power Jasper?" the housekeeper asked as she appeared behind him.

Liz couldn't argue with that. What he said made since. So she nodded. She studied the table. Her stomach rumbled. Everything looked so good. She considered carefully. While her owner seemed kind but she wasn't going to relax her guard. In her experience men were not kind. She picked the cheapest piece of meat. It would help a lot. She hasn't eaten much in the last couple of days. She watched the beastkind out of the corner of her eye. She didn't know what to expect from him.

She assumed that they were going to be traveling sinced he told her to get something she could carry. She had traveled a lot since she had been sentenced. But she had a feeling this would be different. She she could only hope that she could satisfy the beast. The thought of disappointing him terrified her. He would be harder on her then her father and the slavers. "I am ready to go." She didn't want to keep him too long. She knew that he had a job to do.

"Take your time. I don't think that Roxy has much of a system. You might want make one of your own. She usually just looks up the cost of the pieces. I have no idea how she estimates labor." Roc told her. He could tell she was overwhelmed. He didn't know if he could help but he knew that he was one of the few clients that Roxy had that might try. Her shop wasn't the kind of place that appealed to the average person. He looked to the repair bay but Roxy wasn't paying them any attention. It was clear that she thought the empath was fine on her own.

Roxy didn't know if Jess could handle the desk or not. She watched the empath as she worked to pulled Roc's chain from his bike. She could tell that the other woman was overwhelmed but she didn't know if she should or could help. She had no idea what Jess was experience. Adapting to society couldn't be that hard could it? It wasn't like she was one of those people who was always surrounded by a crowd. She avoided people when she could. That should make things simpler. All Jess needed to do was write down the work she was doing. Hell she didn't really need to do that. But she figured that it would give the other woman a place to start.
