Can we assume that Toby is a 6+ on the scale? Like, a Bullet Ant with attitude?

Assume, assume much >DD
Now, we haven't even gotten to the bit about the stinger's venom...
*reads Kho's latest post and is delighted that someone interacted with elementals in such a meaningful way*

But Zephyr? That name is sacrilege! Much too close to the lord Zephyrion's own name!

At least you followed the naming convention I had started and didn't call him Joe

xDD enjoyed interacting with them very much, would have gone into greater depth were it not for time constraints :\

And xDD I knew it was far too close, but there was no other wind-related word which closely rhymes with 'sear' and 'dear', so it had to be 'Zephyr'.
Not sure to what extent I have control over Zephyr (do we control elementals like any other sentient species?), seeing as he's a powerful djinni, so I tried not to mess around too much with him.
In other news concerning Jvan, she has just been bitten by an ant. This is a great display of mercy from the ant, because it could have chosen to sting Jvan. That would not have ended well at all.

It would have been very painful for the poor flesh :| (The site is a bit random, I think they're religion bashers or something, but the info is interesting)

Animal:Sweat bee

Schmidt Index: 1.0

Description: Light, ephemeral, almost fruity. A tiny spark has singed a single hair on your arm.

Animal: Fire ant

Schmidt Index: 1.2

Description: Sharp, sudden, mildly alarming. Like walking across a shag carpet and reaching for the light switch.

Animal: Bullhorn acacia ant

Schmidt Index: 1.8

Description: A rare, piercing, elevated sort of pain. Someone has fired a staple into your cheek.

Animal: Bald-faced hornet

Schmidt Index: 2.0

Description: Rich, hearty, slightly crunchy. Similar to getting your hand mashed in a revolving door.

Animal: Yellowjacket

Schmidt Index: 2.0

Description: Hot and smoky, almost irreverent. Imagine W. C. Fields extinguishing a cigar on your tongue.

Animal: Honey bee and European hornet

Schmidt Index: 2.0

Description: Like a matchhead that flips off and burns on your skin.

Animal: Red harvester ant

Schmidt Index: 3.0

Description: Bold and unrelenting. Somebody is using a drill to excavate your ingrown toenail.

Animal: Paper wasp

Schmidt Index: 3.0

Description: Caustic and burning. Distinctly bitter aftertaste. Like spilling a beaker of hydrochloric acid on a paper cut.

Animal: Tarantula hawk

Schmidt Index: 4.0

Description: Blinding, fierce, shockingly electric. A running hair drier has been dropped into your bubble bath.

Animal: Bullet ant

Schmidt Index: 4.0+

Description: Pure, intense, brilliant pain. Like fire-walking over flaming charcoal with a 3-inch rusty nail grinding into your heel.

@Kho, ah. I thought that since they responded with such a tone, I'd missed important info IC.

Nop, you're all good. The summaries doing their job eh xPPP (they're more helpful to me as GM than I ever thought possible)

@Dawnscroll you know, if you're itching to write something, a certain summary post is waiting to be filled...imagine that, YOU decide what newcomers get to find out about the history of the Universe, you get to shape their views, poison cure their minds with Logosian propaganda truth. A certain Vestec would leap at the opportunity to write such a cosmic post...
<Snipped quote by Double Capybara>

Where is it?

I think Capybara meant we already have a portals demigod in the making. @The Irish Tree is he. Cat it is. Speak like this it does.
@Antarctic Termite Just wondering, is 'Jvan' pronounced 'Jaan', 'Vaan', or literally 'Jvan'.

'aan' as pronounced in 'Khan'.
Although we may want to consider giving a sort of quasi RL limit of turns. Not a hard and fast one, just a sort of idea of how long a time will probably be, so some of us (me) don't expend ourselves utterly in the first post or two.

I don't think it's really necessary. Each post is played out until it reaches its reasonable conclusion, one Turn may reach that conclusion in a matter of days, another may take a month. The flexibility is a good thing.
And remember, running out of Might doesn't mean you're out of action, plenty else a god can do/ a player can do. My next post will probably be on Arcon, so you and I may be able to interact (or, even better, we can make my Arcon post a khollab if you'd like).
Re: Time. Time is extremely wishy-washy in this RP. Considering the vastly varied timescales we're using, it makes little sense to force everyone to have their timelines lined up, especially at this stage. Some of us would be doing things which cover maybe a few centuries (mainly to do with sentients). Some of us are doing things over longer timescales (mainly terrain and life generation). To get them to arbitrarily line up would be impractical to the extreme.

Of course, we're not all lined up, and I'm not expecting us all to be lined up at the moment. Heck, Vowzra hasn't moved much beyond the time period of the Perfectus incident. It's not about forcing everyone to get into the timescales of others, it's just ensuring that there is an attempt to keep things free from major anomalies. For instance, that post with Toby happened over a period of 4,000 years, thus ensuring that the final meeting with Jvan in the 'present' makes sense Time-wise.
Edit: edited my post to make the passage of time clearer.

Re: Gerrik. He'll become a Hero at some point (although, given the time it is taking for me to make a post, given my busy schedule, that point may be further away than desired). Whether he'll be immortal... I haven't talked about this yet, but I have anticipated Reathos' objection to a Hain's immortality (@Legion02), and thus have decided on a work-around. I'll need to discuss that with Legion in PM closer to that time, though.

Heroes are all immortal, their immortality is simply subject to whatever conditions the god in question imposes (for instance, one of my last RP heroes used to age until he became an old man, then he would get younger until he became about five years old, then he would begin aging normal once more in an eternal cycle. Others are forever young, etc.

Re: Map. Remember how Teknall went and planted lots of trees? Well, thanks to that, and Zephyrion's gift of a rich and stormy atmosphere, Galbar should be thoroughly tree-covered by now. Be it thick forest or some sparse trees, there will be plant life across most of Galbar, and animal life to match, even if we haven't explicitly made any terrain in such locations. This is consistent with wildernesses across Earth. Wide-open plains are rare on many continents. Trees tend to cover such places, unless they're deserts.

I'll edit my post to take that into account, though I did mention trees between the steppes and the northern forest.

Study is really picking up over here. However, there's a midsemester break in about a week, so that should help a little for me to catch up. Hopefully. It's rather inconvenient, really. I set myself up as Builder of Civilisations, then when civilisations need building I'm not available. Oh well.

No worries, take your time, we're not building up civilisation yet, still terraforming and creating species.
@Kho Funnily enough, Toby's current location ties in perfectly with the events of Jvan's interaction with Notte in the next post.

It's less fun for the former than the latter, though.

*Weeps for the soul of Toby*
And here I was thinking Jvan had a sense of humour >.> xPP I joke, I'm curious to find out how she reacts
One post down, three more to go (this turn).
Sit back, relax and enjoy/join the show guys, it's gonna be a while before we get to Turn 5 xP
