Honestly, I'm having the same kind of reservations as @Double looking at this RP. The fact that in most of these posts people are just doing their own thing and not referencing what is going on around them is not great. It's fine to say your character doesn't listen to people but at least mention that she is ignoring them in the narration.

The fact that people seem to also be ignoring the fact that Deepmon just Digivolved and attacked everyone is also not a good sign.

An RP with this many people needs to be a bit more structured and planned out I think, because if everyone just goes and does their own thing we get... well, this mess.

But hey, I'm just the guy who's here to provide random monster battles. I don't think these issues will affect me as much as it will the rest of you.
Hello everybody, allow me to introduce myself. I will be playing the role of "random evil Digimon" for this RP, it's a pleasure to be working with you.

By the way, @Winter Star12 is Deepmon a Champion level Digimon? The only reference I can find to that name is a Deviantart page.
High above the street, perched on the edge of a rooftop, a Digimon watched the proceedings with some interest. Keen eyes followed the fight, peering through the slated visor of his helmet, as the Digimon and even one human from the café leapt into action.

The crowd gathering outside the restaurant had been enough to grab his attention at first, so little seemed to happen in this city that anything out of the ordinary seemed noteworthy, but when the mob had begun to disperse his interest had gone with it. Then everything happened.

The fight erupted suddenly, one second a wave appeared from nowhere to wash several people down the street and then before he knew it a full scale battle had begun. Several Digimon burst from the café to alternately save people from the flood and attack the Digimon responsible; one human even appeared on a rooftop nearby to attack with some thrown object.

How lively.

“Sir. Sir!”

The Digimon turned his head a fraction, far enough to see the newcomer out of the corner of his eye. A large floating gear with a face flanked by two smaller gears approached cautiously, the two smaller gears fretting together in nervousness.

“Yes, what is it?”

The Hagurumon would have gulped were it possible for a machine to do so. “I-it’s the Digidestined sir. The Di-Digidestined are in the city.”

He turned away from Hagurumon dismissively. “Yes, I noticed. I believe a couple of them live in the city. The rest travel around as they please.”

“Bu-but they are all together this time. And… and they have Yukarumon with them.”

Hagurumon flinched when the larger Digimon spun to face him. “So the little saviour has returned. Yes, that is noteworthy.”

Returning to the rooftops edge, three-clawed, armoured feet gripped the concrete hard enough for it to crumble as the Digimon leaned forward to get a closer look. Yes, they would be Digidestined; they had responded to confront the wayward Digimon as soon as they saw what was going on. While everyone else was fleeing in terror they had attacked.

“Pass this information along to the others. Make sure the General hears of this. Yes, I will stay and keep an eye on them.” The nervous Rookie wasted no time in leaving, quickly hovering over to the opposite edge and dropping down into the alleyway below with a distant crash.

It was almost nostalgic, watching the Digimon fight below; it reminded him of the war. The Digidestined were so eager to save everyone, yes, just like the soldiers they used to be. Just like… heroes.
He can override it with the hyper beam or Giga Drain

Giga Impact, not Giga Drain.

He's still only hitting every other turn. You're not overriding the effect, just working around it.

Slaking is hardly overpowered, especially since he can be countered by just alternating Protect/Detect with another move.
@CaptainSully

Wasn't Gary Professor Oak's grandson, not son? So shouldn't the person running the Oak institute be Oak's great granddaughter?
@CaptainSully

Can we get the code for the CS?

Also, what are the rules on choosing a starter?
You had my interest, and then lost it with the dibs list. Why is that necessary? And why is capturing Pokemon so restricted? Why is is multiple people having the same Pokemon a problem. That happens sometimes. Roll with it.

Also, can't we just RP the Pokemon battles? Is it really necessary to use a simulator? Using a simulator is not the same as actually writing out a battle. If I'm using a simulator for Pokemon battles, I may as well just play the games.

The only reason I can see for the dibs list is that with a limited number of people having duplicate Pokemon becomes a lot more egregious; you end up with less variety. I'm ok with it. It would be annoying not to get the Pokemon you want, but with 800+ Pokemon everyone should be able to have a team they are comfortable with.

I'd prefer RPing the battles as well. I've done Pokemon RP's before and I know some people use damage calculators to get a rough idea how much damage each attack does, but still RP the battle otherwise. Fully simulating the battle in Showdown would take a lot away from the battles and doesn't account for dodging, use of the environment, outside variables or the inventive strategies that you can add to a written Pokemon battle. Also that simulator is terrible, you can't set movelists or anything.

I'm tentatively interested in this. I have a couple other RP's that may mean I have too much on my plate, but so far they aren't taking up much of my time.
While most of the students were cheering at the duels dramatic finish, the front row of the Water dorm section was mostly quiet.

Jasmine was the first one to react, politely clapping for Ms Nonaka while she watched their teacher disappear in a cloud a smoke with a sympathetic look on her face. “Aww, poor sensei. I hope he’s ok.” Despite his intimidating appearance Wataru was a lot gentler than most people realised and she hoped he wasn’t going to take his loss too hard. She wasn’t sure if his loss being to a former student was going to make it worse or give him a sense of pride.

The next to move was Touma, who shifted in his seat and began clapping as well, his large hands producing a much louder and deeper sound that Jasmine’s. “It sucks that she had a deck that could use his field spell as well; he might as well have not played it.”

In the seat between the two of them Kanna remained silent, though she had repositioned herself so that her hands were clasped in front of her mouth. Looking closer Jasmine could see that Kanna was biting a thumb, a habit she displayed whenever she was thinking hard about something, usually duelling, and which Jasmine thought of as her ‘analyst pose’.

“Field spells affect both players equally; it’s important to consider that your opponent might benefit from it as well and how they might use it against you. Or how you might use their field spells against them…” Kanna always fell so easily into little lectures like that, thinking out loud for the most part but she always had some tip or trick to share with them. Jasmine had always thought that Kanna would make a good teacher herself one day, if she could ever think about anything other than becoming a pro-duellist. “That said the level changing effect of A Legendary Ocean is more powerful than the attack point boost. Sensei’s deck was better equipped to take advantage of it, but the duel was over before he could do anything. She had him on the run from her first turn.”

Touma turned to look as Ms Nonaka again, seeing her in a different light now that he had seen her so thoroughly thrash their teacher. He reached up to scratch the back of his head nervously before speaking. “Man, pendulum decks are scary. No matter what you do to their field they just bounce back twice as hard. Their cards don’t even go to the graveyard when they’re destroyed.”

The rest of the students were still cheering with the loudest shouts coming, unsurprisingly, from the Fire dorm students. It was loud enough that gradually their attention was pulled away from the centre stage and towards the rowdy students. Even Kanna was looking at them. “I’m going to challenge the Fire dorm first. Everyone’s going to be impressed with the new teacher after this. We can’t let Machi’s head get too big.”

Jasmine turned an exasperated expression on Kanna, not that the other girl was paying enough attention to her to notice. “You’re thinking about challenges already? The year hasn’t even started yet!”

Kanna finally turned to look at Jasmine, sitting back in her chair and giving her friend a look that made the taller girl sigh. It was impossible to try and turn Kanna away from a course of action once she had decided on it. “There’s no reason to wait. I want us to show everyone how strong the Water dorm is this year. I won’t settle for anything other than the best.”
I'll post tomorrow. I have all of the dialogue written up, I just need to fill in the narrative; I'm just a little short on time right now.
