What age range are we looking at for our characters? I was thinking of making someone a little younger than everyone else, probably an orphan, someone who makes a living scavenging for valuable stuff and spare parts to sell on to mechanics and so on. He would be one of the people who showed up after the previous gang had been dealt with.

A Scrap deck probably fits better for a character idea like this, but aside from the three variants of Scrap Dragon I don't see much growth for the archetype.
Capes. Cool or lame?

Cool if you can pull them off. Extremely lame if you can't.
Kinda sick of scrolling through traps alphabetically for now, but if you want more I'll pick up where I left my keys. Must be closeby somewhere.

And here I thought you just knew every crappy, situational card off by heart.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Take two. I'll probably leave any further changes until the RP is up.

Could you be a little more constructive as to why this is a bad idea? I think it fits what youre going for.

We're not picking cards based on their real life rarity. It's not a good way to balance the actual power of the cards and with re-prints you can probably find most old cards as common anyway.

The setting is basically the one from 5D's; a shithole outside a much nicer city. The kind of cards you'd find in people's trash are the kind of cards we'd be starting off with.
Here's my deck! It's terrible and not in a good way.

Extra deck is a little heavy at the moment; I'll probably decide between Pair Cycroid and Ironwolf and keep one and I'll probably get rid of Blocker until I get the field spell. I could do with some ideas for traps as well.
I've never used Duelingbook before today. How do I get the link to the deck to share it?
Speaking of Archetypes, Whats every staking a claim in.

I have chosen Heroes (Specifically E. Heros) For a reason.

Staking my claim on Ancient Gears and also half staking a claim on Gadgets as something to add to the deck in the distant future; Ancient Gear Gadget is a thing and there are a few Ancient Gear bosses that work with the archetype.
I'm unsure about having Scrap in the name because the Scrap archetype exists, and I'm not sure if a leader of a group of ragtag gang members who don't all run some variety of machine is fitting for that.

I considered making a Scrap deck honestly. Probably going to go with Ancient Gear if and when this potential RP happens.

As for gang names, I'm not going to be much use; I've just got the name Junkyard Dogs stuck in my head, which I guess works with the outer area being called The Collar.
-Need to hear from people if we're throwing speed spells in or not. Getting some mixed messages right now, so a definitive answer either way would be nice.

No opinion. I'd have to start watching the show to even understand how turbo duels work.

-Need more feedback on the idea I posted above. If anyone has anything to add to it, anything they don't like about it, or any other suggestion entirely they're free to post it, but a "this is good" is also fine because then I'll know I'm going in the right direction.

I like it. It's a simple enough premise to give our characters a reason to know each other, a reason to be duelists and a broad goal to work towards, while the setting itself has potential for larger plotlines later on.

-Need to find a way to ban King Cosmos from this thread since I still hold a grudge over that master rule question

You just have to criticise my deck ideas a little more than you normally do, till I crawl out of the RP a broken man.
