Current I always miss the fun stuff and references. Now I'll be wondering what 2011 was referring to.

Thor was surprised by the sudden turn of events and who this King Atlan was whose return caused the Fire Trolls to return to the sea as if nothing happened. He doubted that they'd return as his biggest fan, both literally and figuratively, questioned. It seemed like this was really the end of the attack on New York. If he had to guess this King Atlan had something to do with Atlantis, given the names. So maybe this Arthur was found after all. It couldn't have possibly been the now silent child the Green Man passed off to his father, right? After the punch he delivered to a Fire Troll he wouldn't be surprised.

He agreed with Flameo Hotman about their job being far from over. Now that the fire starters were gone it'd be easier for him to put out the flames with his rain. Thor prepared to join him in fire control when his attention was drawn to Skeletor staring him down. At least it looked like he was staring at him. It felt like he was staring daggers into his soul. He didn't know who he was or what his problem was, but thankfully he didn't seem to be some kind of Bounty Hunter looking for the prize on his head. He left as quickly as he came leaving Thor with more questions than answers about who he was and what issues he had with him.

Thor tensed up a bit when the feds pulled up. He knew Luthor's reach wasn't that far in the government officially yet, but that didn't really matter when you were wealthy in this corrupted country. He lowered his guard when the man in charge told him that he had friends in far-reaching places. He couldn't believe what he was hearing and pointed to himself with a confused expression to confirm that he was indeed talking about him. He descended to the ground after the agent took out the envelope with the insignia of Frost Industries on it. He had heard of the company, but didn't know too much about them. He reached out to receive the envelope before looking around to see that the other heroes had scattered like cockroaches when you turned the lights on. You'd think they were the ones with a bounty on their heads.

Thor thought about his options. He could leave, but he wanted to learn more about this agency and if he built a proper relationship with the government he wouldn't be seen as a vigilante. He didn't see any downside to this. "Since I'm the only one left it seems that I win the prize to de-brief. Shall we, Mister...?"

Loki was disappointed in today's turn of events. Not even Fire Trolls were enough to cause problems for his oaf of a brother. He even managed to make himself look better in the eyes of the public and government as well as gathered some potential allies. The one time he thought something was going to happen with the Spirit of Vengeance, nothing did. But of course the Allfather's perfect child would have a soul without blemish. But today wasn't a complete let down. He learned a lot and was interested in the fact that a Martian had made its way to Earth. But more than that it appeared that someone at Frost Industries had their eyes on Thor. Perhaps he could do something with that. He had some time before he had to return to Metropolis. Perhaps an investigation was in order.
Himari Tsugikuni

@Aku the Samurai@Haha@Randomguy@Dane

Himari was not expecting to end up back outside after bringing Miyuki back to the dojo, but the energetic girl insisted that they'd go out to a bar and enjoy some ramen after waking up. All Himari wanted to do was go home, but she couldn't leave her two kōhai out in the streets alone with all of the chaos going on.

She listened to Miyuki, but her mind was elsewhere back in Kyoto. She hoped her little one wasn't getting restless with her being gone so long. She hadn't expected to still be here in Tokyo. Himari's attention was grabbed once Miyuki started talking about Transparent World. It was something Himari had been working towards, but hadn't fully figured it out quite yet. But of course once she was interested they got interrupted by someone spilling their drink. She looked up to see a familiar face. One that she hadn't seen in two years. Himari became alert when Mamushi mentioned their blades and revealed herself to be a demon. She didn't feel any hostility coming off her, so she followed her with the others.

Things quickly changed however when Tenko took it upon herself to attack Mamushi as soon as they reached a secluded era. She could feel Tenko's anxiety and hostility as they walked, but she didn't think that she was that against demons. How could she so callously attack one unprovoked? Especially one that had been her friend. This reaffirmed her decision not to disclose to the Corps that she was raising a demon child herself. All they saw at the end of the day was bloodthirsty creatures.

Himari acted quickly unsheathing her blade and slicing the bullet in half before it had the chance to reach its mark in Mamushi's leg. She was going to move to deflect Tenko's blade, but something else did. Then she appeared...

Himari was pissed and rightfully so. She had commanded Tenko not to engage in any combat and she deliberately disobeyed a Hashira's orders so close to the onsen that was already a place of chaos. If they managed to get out of this alive she was going to reprimand the kinoto and suggest to Takaya that she get benched until she learned how to act like a proper Demon Slayer.

A ghostly wolf appeared after the police chief did and made sure to comfort Mamushi after the attempt to incapacitate her. They were not going to be able to fight their way through this. Himari sighed internally as she wondered how she'd get them out of this.

"Hey, Chief." Himari said trying to break the tension a bit. "Please excuse Tenko for her unceremonious display just now. She's a bit jumpy from tonight's events. Our rest at the Torigoya Onsen was interrupted by the former Hashira, Guen's, blood fued. We've been avoiding fights and making a disturbance all night, so when she sensed a demon and was called out for being a slayer her shoot first, ask questions later mentality kicked in. You know Americans."
Harrison couldn't help but endearingly laugh at Kir's use of Earth phrases even if no one really used those words in that context anymore. He was looking forward to seeing what a X'hondrian party would be like and loved the excitement that it brought her. Before they could continue the conversation any further they were interrupted by Astri and a couple of X'hondrians. When he saw her with them talking about her health it finally hit him how differently she looked from the others due to her lack of radiation. The contrast was fairly noticeable, but he didn't realize how drained she was until he was able to compare her to the others.

Harrison nodded after Zev urged her to go through with it. "It's been so long since you've been somewhere that knew how to properly care for you."

He watched as she left and looked around awkwardly, unsure of what to do. The party wouldn't start for a while and who knew how long it'd take Kir with the others. He decided he was going to explore the rest of the cavern city himself. He turned to Zev. "I'm going to do some exploring. It's not every day you get to sightsee in Niðavellir."

Harrison flew around the buildings hanging from the cavern's ceiling. It amazed him how much they were able to build down here. He couldn't believe he was able to witness this as a human. Norse mythology was just that, mythology, but there was some truth to it. What people believed to be gods and other supernatural beings were aliens who existed in our very own galaxy. If he were able to return to Earth after defeating the Empire he wanted to be able to bridge the gap between humanity and the stars, but he didn't trust the governments back home after how they treated and essentially enslaved Kir. If they knew there was technology and civilizations like this in outer space there was no doubt in his mind that they'd try and become a second Empire and probably would be worse. The thought saddened him. Humanity could rarely agree on anything, if at all, but he knew they'd agree if they perceived the people out here as their enemies. Before he revealed any of these civilizations the Earth would need reformation. But that was a whiles away and he rather focus on one problem at a time.

He was hoping to catch a glimpse of the human freedom fighter but he was nowhere to be found. Maybe he was off-world freeing more refugees. Harrison was disappointed but accepted that the pirate's work was more important than having a conversation and telling his history. The stars were aligning already so he was sure they'd cross paths soon enough. Maybe even while trying to free the same vessel. The thought of that excited him, but was careful not to get his hopes too high.

When Harrison heard music playing in the distance he took it as his cue to make his way back to the party.

Harrison joined the party but was a bit saddened to see that Kir hadn't shown up yet. He hadn't expected them to take this long and started to wonder about what they were doing to her. He didn't think that it was anything nefarious. Everyone here felt genuinely happy and full of life. Two different people were living in harmony on a planet hidden from the eyes of the stars. Their start here was a bit rocky, but he could tell that this place was genuine. It made him believe that it was possible for the galaxy to share in this joy and harmony one day.

Kir's arrival left Harrison speechless. He thought she was beautiful before, but she was truly stunning. He finally mustered up words. "Y--you're stunning." He stuttered barely able to get the words out. "I've never seen a dress or a woman so beautiful." He said, recovering from his embarrassment. "After they honor you would you like to dance a X'hondrian dance with me? I should be able to keep up thanks to our X'honnar."
Dom flew into the air to try and save Sam from being devoured by a meat monster, but was knocked aside into one of the lockers. Before she could recover the monster turned into a stream of meat and carried Sam off with her. For a pile of meat she was pretty fast. She stood up, feeling pain in her back. "Great. Even as a ghost I can get back pain." But that wasn't as important as what Sam was currently going through.

Dom turned to Danny and Tucker. "Come on, you two! We have to go after them!" It was at this moment that she wished she had the Fenton Finder with her. Even if it might've tracked her and Danny it could've still tracked the lunch lady down to wherever she went. Tracking... That was it! She remembered this quirk that Tucker had where he had a nose for meat, almost like a bloodhound. She wondered...

"Hey, Tucker. Do you think you could track down the meat with your nose?" She asked.

"Can I track down the meat with my nose?" Tucker asked, offended at the question. "That's like asking if I could breathe. Of course I can." He sniffed the air to follow the scent left behind by the lunch lady's meat form and got a lock on it. "Got it. Follow me!"
Harrison felt surprisingly welcomed among the X'hondrian colony. He was glad that a human managed to come out here before him and give the rest of humanity a good name compared to the nightmares told to children throughout the galaxy. But it also seemed deeper than that. It felt like they were looking at him with a look of recognition. Like they had seen him before or someone who looked like him. He shook the thought out of his head as nothing more than just him overthinking. Maybe they were just fascinated by the idea of seeing another human after so long. It still amazed him that one was able to come out here so many years ago and became a freedom pirate. With Earth's history, and especially America's that was the biggest surprise to him.

He wanted to ask about their liberator, but they came to him with questions instead. "You did a X'honnar, didn't you?" An elder male X'hondrian asked him as the others gathered around to listen. "In all my years I've never seen it done with another species and a human no less. You must have an extraordinary mind."

Harrison felt like he was being examined like one of his artifacts or a skeleton at a museum. "I don't know about that. I was a historian, archaeologist, and professor back on Earth, but I learned most of what I knew from my dad."

"It seems that you're a X'hondrian in all but name, my friend." The Elder said with a smile. "Tell me, what was it like to experience a X'honnar as a human?"

"It was like nothing I've ever experienced before. It was like traveling back in time and through space to be part of someone's history. I felt connected to Kir in a way that made it feel like we were the same person. I felt her joy, her pain, her everything. I felt her. Beyond that, it's phenomenally indescribable."

While Harrison was discussing the X'honnar with the elder, Lyris was conversing with her sister tribe and showing off her special ability. They then went off to a corner where Lyris revealed who she was to them and the prophecy she was following and praying to fulfill. Their pale cheeks lit up upon hearing the prophecy as if the fire of hope was lit inside them. After they discussed that Lyris asked them about their time here and what it was like to live with the Dvergr.

Harrison couldn't help but smile once Kir returned and announced to he and Zev that they were staying for a X'hondrian party. "I love a good party." He answered with a smile.
I don't own clothes thick enough for this weather to respect. Send hot soup

Sending an express delivery right now with a winter coat.

A few questions:

1. Can my character's visible body be augmented because of their powers, ex. Given wings

2. Can I use a drawing for my character's appearance or does it have to be a real photo?

3. Is there a specific age range our characters have to be?

1. Flight is a power they can receive, but what would be your character's desire to gain wings? If they desired to be like a bird it'd turn them into a bird, but if their desire is related to flying it'd just give them the ability to fly without wings. So I'd say no for now since wings would be hard for them to hide and that'd make the powers public too early.

2. Real photo. A drawing wouldn't really fit here.

3. 18-22 if they're meant to be part of the Community Service group. Any older and they'd probably be in jail instead.
Might post again, 🤔
Hows th winter freeze treating everyone? 🥶

Monday's snow flurries caught me off guard but the weather's gotten better.

God damn you guys are busy when I'm asleep

On that note, I'm delighted to announce @Cyrania as the new co-GM! I'm really appreciative of Cyrania offering their time to help me run this, and I think we'll make a great team in making things run smoothly.

Now to catch up with the OOC!

Congratulations @Cyrania! You'll do great!
In all seriousness, I would like to make the Frost Gala an "event" of sorts.

The intention is that Frost has invited the heroes of New York to celebrate their achievements, while raising money for the repairs. It's a PR move on her part as well as being something a bit petty and personal also.

It is also an opportunity for her to put the feelers out on these heroes without exposing herself, potentially find new allies.

At this stage only a few in the X Circle, the Hellfire Club, and Jessica Jones are aware of her status as a Telepath and mutant but this should change, and perhaps something will go down at the even which will force that to happen.

For now, characters should assume "Rich blonde lady throwing a fancy fundraiser."

~ This is all to say that, yes, maybe we'll fight.

I'll chat to the GM and get a proposal in, and then formally invite you all c:

I agree with Sep about there sometimes being too much action. If there's any event that should just be a chill time, it'd be the Gala, unless they were attacked by an outside force.
But @Taka if you really want a fight and don't mind Loki the Cat influencing/controlling Robbie/Ralph to fight Thor since he's been disappointed with the show I can make it happen.

It'll give Thor the chance to show off more for the telepaths currently watching him as well as support Lionel's campaign against vigilantes/super-powered menaces.
