Premise

Space the Final frontier...wait wrong universe. Let's try that again.

You have woken in a strange room. You remember your name, but not how you got into this place. As you search your memory you can't find any information about yourself, except your name.

Upon examination, of the room, you will find a dresser, a nightstand, a small room off to the side that is a bathroom. The bed you are in is set into the wall which slopes over so there is no sharp edge.

The bathroom has the basic amenities (toilet, shower, sink). In the shower is basic shampoo, conditioner and body wash the dispensers are built into the wall. Under the sink is spare tp, and feminine hygiene products if needed. There is a mirror over the sink which opens to reveal an empty medicine cabinet.

In the room, the dresser contains several identical outfits, reminiscent of hospital scrubs, light blue pants, and white top. Enough for a week. And two sets of PJs, differing in only they are looser and softer material. As well as appropriate undergarments.

The nightstand has a small lamp. And two drawers. In one of the drawers is {Redacted}.

There appears to be no other way out of the room. You are alone.

Characters per player: 1-2 (If you play multiple please play differently gendered characters. I want to try to have this close to 50/50. NPCs will fill in whatever spaces PCs don't. This RP will have 12 characters, with room for more at a later point)

Please keep in mind that most of the things in this CS your character will not know at the beginning.



Rules


*Rules are enforced and you will be removed if you break them.
  • Applications:
    • Post the CS in the OOC for review.
    • Change the color code to a unique one (i.e. not in use by a current character). Please try to avoid colors that are very similar to the eye as well.
    • Choose a face claim for your character that is not currently in use - if you're not sure if someone is using that FC, ask the GM. Face claims must be real-life images - not drawings.
    • The GM can refuse a concept for any reason, yet will generally work with you to fix up the character until they can be accepted.
    • GM approved character sheets should be posted in a hider in the Char tab.
    • The GM will check posting history / previous RPs - you've been warned. If this is your first RP on the guild please PM the GM and they will work with you.
    • Under Extras in your CS please post a link to a post you have done in the past to show you have read the rules. If You submit a CS without this it may be declined.
  • Post Content
    • No use of racial slurs in posts. Sure, you may be playing a racist white guy from the 1950s, so just use asterisks - you'll convey the same idea.
    • Nudity needs to be run by the GM before posting. In general, this is PG-13 when it comes to romance, sexual interactions, exposure, and so forth... Violence wise, anything goes. This can get gross.
    • Fade to black for things that verge into the area of smut/other taboo subjects. Seriously. Your post will be deleted otherwise.
    • No god-modding. Your characters have weaknesses. In order to hit another character, you have to ask the GM for a roll. It will be done fairly following a system similar to d&d.
    • No bunnying without express permission. The GM must see the permission given.
    • No Meta-gaming. If you think your character might know something ask for a roll. If your character fails to roll or has no reason to know the thing they do not know it.
    • The world and NPCs and events are controlled by the GM. If the GM says it's raining, then it's raining. Results will be randomized similar to D&D.
  • Posting & General Behavior
    • Follow all of the rules of the forum - they're the law of the land.
    • If you need an extension or you're struggling - or even if you just aren't certain what to do - please reach out to the GM! Communication is key.
    • You must post once every 7 days - once your last post on RPG reads as 8 days ago you will be removed from the RP.
    • If you need an extension, ask!! Extensions should be requested no later than when your last post reads as 6 days ago. If an emergency comes up on day 7, of course, come and talk to us - we'll be more than happy to work something out. It's very rare that an extension request is denied.
    • You may NOT copy and paste something from someone else's post and add it to your own. This includes dialogue.
    • Minimal 2 posts between your last, and a GM post
    • No editing posts without GM approval.
    • Each post should include two well-developed paragraphs (please don't make me define how many sentences are in a paragraph. If they're long sentences, then sure 5 is fine - if they're shorter, maybe 15 is best).
    • Read all posts! Seriously, people are reading yours so spread the love and read theirs!
    • No tagging for interactions in your post - people use this as a crutch usually to get away with not reading everything.
  • Other:
    • Character deaths will happen, no one is safe - it will be randomized and you will be notified when your death approaches. (This does not mean you are out of the RP, it will mean however you need to make a new character should you wish to continue - I recommend having Back-Up Characters Ready (There will be a story reason for me to work them in. I promise.)
    • Add in Extra information your favorite character from a space-related show or movie
    • The GM reserves the right to make decisions as to how much additional time, if any, will be granted to post if the forum is glitching. A week to post is plenty of time even if the forum glitches a day or two. But usually, I do tend to be pretty generous about it...
    • Rules and character sheet will be added to and changed as need be depending on problems or points that come up.
    • There will be no strikes. If the GM feels you're willfully breaking the rules or being antagonistic you will be kicked from the RP.
    • Check the discord chat once a day. Invite will be provided by the GM.

The Ship


There is no timekeeping device. Periodically a robotic voice will speak over a PA system. That's encouraging, that means there's more to the ship then the few rooms you've seen. At least you hope.

The lights through the ship seem to auto-detect movement, turning off after thirty minutes of inactivity in an area.

The ship seems to have silent engines if they are even running. There is some sense of automated things running behind the scenes, such as the Galley

Niah's heart dropped and her throat went dry when Nancy said 'you must go to Mount Rushmore'. Niah didn't want to go on a quest. Especially to one on the complete other side of the united states. She took a deep breath holding Nancy's hand. There was little doubt in her mind that Nancy was talking about her personally since they were touching. Why did she have to come and help? She could have pretended she hadn't seen...no she couldn't have. That wasn't like her.

Madalyne was there next to them. Niah nodded, thankful. She knew that Madalyne and Nancy had known each other from before camp. Niah made sure Nancy was steady on her feet before she let go of her hand. Though she did stand near her in case she stumbled again and was ready to try to catch Nancy. "I heard the whole thing I think." Nancy said. "I saw you fall and you hadn't fully pulled your cards out. But it seems like you remember. And it isn't like I have a clue what those cards mean. Yeah, we can go there."

Niah walked beside Nancy, not daring to ask any questions yet. She'd let Nancy talk when she was ready. The crowd was busy because lunch had ended recently, but it wasn't too difficult to get through to New Rome and then to the coffee shop. It was a fantastic little shop. Niah ordered a chai, not wanting to get something with too much caffeine since it was afternoon now.
