"It is okay. I avoided it mostly. I've probably told like two direct lies ever." She shivered slightly at the memory. "Right, so good news. There are routes to Mount Rushmore. Two of them. Bad news. One of them is a flight we can take. The other requires a car and an eight-hour drive." Niah didn't know how to drive. And had no clue how they would get tickets on a flight.

Niah pulled her notebook open and showed them the notes she had jotted down. With the airport, they would need to leave from, and the turns they would need to get from Fargo to Mount Rushmore. It was a long trip. The flight would be the fastest, but identification and money would be required with a lot of security between them and the flight. The car might be easier to con from someone, which Niah didn't particularly like the idea of, but it might be necessary.

"If we can get to a Western Union I can call my dad and see if he'll wire me money. That could at least take care of that part of it, but uh, I didn't exactly come to America via the usual routes." She had taken a flight, but her paperwork had all been temporary two years ago. She had been too young for any proper identification. No one had questioned her then, but now things weren't guaranteed to be so easy.

"I don't know. But probably an hour. If you need to get back to town faster I can see if one of the rangers can drive us into town? AAA puts people who are in a safe place lower on the call list. If there are a lot of emergencies going on then it could be longer." Rose entered the ranger station and smiled brightly. It was Bobby working at the desk.

"Hey Bobby, something happened and my motorcycle's tires blew, both of them. I don't get it. And our phones aren't getting any signal. Can we use the station phone to call AAA? Or alternatively, if you guys aren't too busy can one of you help me load my bike into a truck and drop us back into town so we don't have to wait for AAA?" Rose smiled, hoping for the later. She was glad it was someone she knew in the Rangers.

She did still have work at the bar that evening. Willow was supposed to meet them there. Then tomorrow they would go to the warehouse. If the bike tires hadn't exploded they could have made it theoretically today. And somewhere in there, they needed to get Sierra's phone fixed.

"Oh, and there is a root that is dangerous. We'll need need to get one of the guys to grind it down. I can give you the coordinates." Rose offered. She knew that the Rangers often tried to keep the hiking trails clear of stuff like that so people wouldn't get hurt. It was a good thing Sierra hadn't been hurt. Rose wasn't certain how the root had gotten so overgrown like that in the first place. Chalk it up to another mystery for the day.

Colby waved goodbye to the girl. He didn't know her name but that wasn't unusual he didn't know everyone who lived in the apartment complex. He nodded at Matthew's request and headed inside to find Carroll. "Carroll, it is me Colby. It is okay to come out buddy." Colby knelt down and held out his hand, waiting for Carroll to come out to him. It was best to not do sudden movements around a scared cat. Fortunately, Colby had been building a trust bond with Carroll since Colby had first made friends with Matthew.

He didn't know how well Carroll would handle being in the car so he did put him in a kennel. Jack could be trusted in the car, and on his shoulder. Colby had gone for walks plenty of times with Jack on his shoulder. Now that Colby knew he was the son of an actual cat that made sense. He had a good bond with his cat because of that.

Once that was all squared away Colby headed back to his car, he secured Carroll and shoved some of the collected trash into a nearby bin. The Chinese food was still in the front seat, but he cleaned around it giving Matthew some proper legroom. Colby wasn't certain how long they would be in the car. The warehouse wasn't far away, but he did know the plan had originally been to meet in three days. He tossed his own pack of stuff in the trunk.

Niah took the phone, nodded at the lady her thanks. Then stepped away from the small crowd gathering around her "sister". She pulled up google real quick and found two possible routes. One they would have to rent a car, and it would take eight hours. Or catch a flight. She frowned, pulled out her sketchbook, and wrote down the two routes real quick. Then deleted the search from the phone's memory cache.

Niah then dialed 767-2676. She could only hope that their current area code this number worked in this area. There was a pickup tone and then an informative voice told her the time. Niah spoke quietly about her sister not feeling well and could one of their parents hurry up and pick them up.

After what felt like an appropriate amount of time she hung up and turned back to the group. "Thank you." She didn't dare try actually lie. The fake phone call had been hopefully enough for her part in the ruse. And hopefully, if the lady looked at the number she wouldn't realize the kid who had borrowed her phone had called popcorn.

"Good point." Mary said to Madalyne with a small nod. It really was a good point. Proof that Madalyne belonged in Ravenclaw, but that didn't make Mary have to like it. She wanted to yak everywhere but managed to keep it down.

Mary hated having the twins invade her mind, but it was the reason she had opened up to Apollo all those years ago. He understood her in a way no one else did. She almost pushed Arty out, but his pain both physical and mental kept her from doing it. Her face went pale at the images. That explained so much. She went to reach out to put her hand on his shoulder and offer to heal the break, though it would be best to wait for Madam Pomfrey. Then the bus contorted and popped, as did her luggage.

She grabbed the spell-o-tape from the luggage and used it to tape it shut. She looked at Madalyne wincing as she saw she was missing her tooth now. "Probably best to keep the tooth if you can find it. Madam Pomfrey should be able to fix that." Mary was actually a little thankful for the jostling of the bus it kept her from crying over what her friends had seen.

Even better, the trip was over. She wanted to just get off of it. She did not understand the kid who kept changing their hair somehow. What was up that? Mary had some questions, but Mary knew they could be answered in due time. She tensed up when she heard her name called. Was she in trouble still? Not all of those names were people who had been involved in the incident, and some of those people hadn't been called.

She left her suitcase but kept her satchel pack with her. That had her wand in it anyway and there was no way she was going to leave her wand behind. Mary could only help the spell-o-tape would keep her things from spilling out until she could get the latch fixed. "Let's go." Mary said to Apollo and Artie, "We gotta hurry."

Mary saw Georgina as she headed for the exit as quickly as she could. She did not want to get stuck on the bus and left behind because of a swarm of kids. She was prepared to use her status as a prefect to clear the way if she needed to. "Georgina, are you okay? Do you need a hand?" Whatever her friend needed she was willing to offer. She felt bad for what she had said on the train, she knew it wasn't the right thing to do. Especially right after Georgina had seen the Death Eater be killed.

As she exited the bus she saw that Paige was getting into the first horseless-carriage. "Second carriage, Paige went into the first one." She told the others. Helping them if they needed it before getting all four of them into the cart. Mary hoped that the fifth spot would be taken up by Mintfree, and not Madalyne. "What in the world can Dumbledore want with this collection of people?" Nothing Mary could come up with made sense.

Niah was thankful she hadn't made things worse. And now Bonnie was there. Maria and the others had a good handle on Sparky now. Niah smiled taking a step back. She looked around seeing who all had arrived.

"Tempest, it is good to see you. I'd hug you but..." Niah trailed off and gestured to the hazmat suit she was wearing. It would make hugging really awkward. She did kneel down and greet Goose. "Sorry, Goose I don't have any treats in my suit, but if you go to my room I do have a bag for you. Thank you for bringing Bonnie."

"What happened to Raynor?" Niah asked quietly. She wanted to know but didn't want to disrupt Sparky and the situation with Cass. She looked at Tempest and Maria for answers.

A part of her was nervous about the answer. She knew that Raynor was capable of some very terrible things. She had seen it in him during the time loops, much like she had with Flynn. But also like with Flynn she knew that Ryanor meant a lot to a friend of hers, which to her meant that Raynor was important. She would do some dumb stuff to make sure her friends were okay.

Matt's jaw dropped when Bonnie came in literally in the jaws and tentacles of Goose. He stared stunned. But the team didn't seem too freaked out by it. In fact, even Niah was just petting the cat, best she could in the suit she was in. He shook his head and tried to ignore the tentacle creature he had thought was like the group's mascot or something. Something apparently was more accurate.

Matt winced at what options Cass had for getting her blood drawn. "Fix Bonnie first." He told Tempest. "She's more important right now." He couldn't help with any of the science stuff and he knew that the only reason he was even here was he was worried about Cass. He knew she was in good hands though.

Matt offered his unbroken hand to help Cass up onto the bed. He decided he would go check on the rest of the team once Tempest had had a chance to heal his wrist. While he wanted Bonnie to be healed first, he did want to be healed too. He would like the full range of his abilities at his disposal. "Would it help if I paralyzed her?" Matt offered. He didn't like using his power too much cause he was worried he would cause someone's lungs to paralyze too if he wasn't careful. But he thought it might be helpful right now.

“Yes, that would do the trick.” Agent Simmons said. Matt turned to Cass, he wanted her permission first. There was no way he would paralyze her without it. Cass nodded giving him permission and he removed the glove from his suit, finding a bit of skin exposed to the air and touched it gently. He didn't want to put too much into it and risk seriously hurting her, but enough where she wouldn't move when the needle came at her. If he were to accidentally overdo it at least she was here near a lot of medical care, and Tempest.

"You got this." He whispered for Cass alone to hear. He felt the energy he carried that could cause paralyzation leaving him and enter Cass. He snapped it off when he felt like it was the right amount and under his hand, Cass went still but was still breathing. Good. Perfect.

Andy pet the three-headed dog while Rebecca explained Star Wars. She wanted to see it now. Though she had no idea when she would get a chance to see it. Jason was hard to understand, his accent was thick. And Andy had to combat with the fact that she didn't like the guy since he had pushed her brother. She frowned. Did she want to play the game Rebecca was suggesting with him? She wanted to play with Rebecca and Arthur.

Rebecca seemed so cool and smart. She was neat and teaching her magic. Andy finally decided that if Rebecca wanted to play a game with Jason it outweighed her dislike of Jason. Thankfully she could guess the rules of the game from the name of it. She had to tell two truths and a lie about herself and the others would have to guess what was true and what wasn't.

"I'll play," she said. Then she considered what she could say about herself that they wouldn't know what was true or not true. "When I was eight I got into a fight with another foster kid and almost killed him with my lighting." A truth, one that was the whole reason she ran away from her last foster home. There had been no going back after that. Even though no one could prove what had happened Andy had known. She hadn't trusted herself after that around people.

"I got my dagger from a monster that attacked me in the woods in Pennsylvania." That was a lie. A homeless guy had given it to her, telling her that she was in a lot of danger but the dagger could keep her safe. That left one more truth. The first one that she thought of was too real. She did not want to share that with the others, especially Jason. "Heights don't scare me." That sounded like it could be a lie. It was true, but after she had fallen from the tree during capture the flag it was a reasonable fear to have.

There were some more words she wished to throw at Leandra but decided against it. Niah didn't need her help with the paperwork. Sure she hated the bureaucracy of it all, but she was capable of doing it. But Leandra was demeaning her. She had come in here all 'oh I want to talk about our budget' and then got defensive when they had called her out on using what was a war meeting for something that could and should be on the back burner. If they needed to talk about the budget that much that should have been in the morning minutes.

They had a few days according to the Greeks. That was good. It would give them time to prepare. Thankfully Mads had stepped in and told Leandra to be quite. Now was not the time. Her shoulders relaxed a little, it helped that the Greeks 'hung up'. Then Nancy told them about her vision. It looked like she had a part to play in the new great prophecy. Niah didn't want that. She wanted to just get through her ten years of serving the Legion and then move on. With six more years though...Nancy was right. The future was dim looking.

They didn't know exactly what they would be facing, but this was a war meeting. Niah's stomach growled. They were going to miss lunch, but decisions needed to be made before they could eat. "I'll organize an emergency war game for tomorrow. I think maybe one for when the Greeks get here as well. They will need to know how we fight." The way the Greeks fought was less than ideal. They were unorganized. If the two groups could fight organized and in unison they had a better chance of standing against the threat.
Sumi was quick to follow, jumping easily from platform to platform after Alexander until they were safe on the other side. She was in good shape, especially for someone who lived off of sugar. Sumi had always been fairly athletic though, and while good with her hands this was a breeze for her.

Christopher followed next, slipping, but he felt a draft pick him up and save him from falling endlessly. He nodded at Alexander, thanking him.

Kade was last across. Maybe that worked against him, maybe it was just bad luck. He missed the first platform, but reached out and caught the edge of it. A draft of air picked him up and tumbled him onto the platform. After taking a few deep breaths centering himself he hurried after the group. He leaned against Sumi for a moment, shaking.

"At least there isn't a drowned god down there keeping you as payment," Sumi said softly. Kade snickered and then stood up straight.

"Alright, Astrid. Can you try to get it untangled?" Kade asked Astrid.

Energy started sparking around them and all the hair on the back of their necks and arms stood on end. "Quickly," Sumi snapped.

"There are better things to kill over." Dalisy sighed and lifted her own plate and drink when the blood started flooding her way. "They'll be back at it by dinner, or if we are unlucky breakfast." Dalisy said partially as a joke, partially as reassurance that maybe they'd have more entertainment by the pair of them.

"Oh this? Not much. I just found someone I need to kick the ass of tomorrow." She said shrugging. Dalisy was still angry, but that was basically her default state. Nothing new. She munched on her food looking at the blood. Death was meaningless they were all dead and there was no coming back from it. She couldn't imagine an einherjar being frightened by it or blood. Except, maybe someone brand new.

Dalisy remembered being new, it wasn't that many years ago. But even with that, she didn't remember fearing pain, or blood, or death. She wondered briefly if that was a prerequisite for being an einherjar. Lack of fear. Lack of good decision making. People who were good at making decisions didn't go stabbing each other in the throat over some girl. Also, if the girl was an einherjar she should have been there defending her own honor and choices.

Niah had finished her book. So that left her with not much to do when the conversation died. She also drew in her sketchbook. A quick sketch of both Mads and Nancy. She put the date at the top of the page. Niah had struggled a bit with the sketch but was able to turn it around to something decent. She wasn't certain she would share it with anyone though. Only Nancy and Mads if they asked to see it.

When the train came to a stop and they had some time to stretch Niah was happy to take advantage of it. Her leg was cramped from being curled under her other leg. "Gods yes." Niah said shoving her stuff into her bag and then leaving the train with the pair of them.

Niah was surprised when Nancy feigned fainting, and for a moment she was caught up in the lie that she caught Nancy trying to make sure she was okay. "Are you okay? Do you need some water or something?" Those who knew Niah would know that until Nancy was asking for the phone to call their parents Niah looked like she believed something was wrong with Nancy, but then her face contorted slightly and she coughed. She didn't add to the lie.

"Let me know if it feels like that is getting infected. You should do a thorough wash of that wound." Manny told her matter-of-factly. "And you might be seventy-five percent certain Cal. I'm about ninety-five percent certain I am a medical professional. That was definitely unsafe."

Noah was looking up at the sky still. "We are very far from home I fear. I've been searching for what I can remember. I have no idea where we could be. And distance equals time. Even if we find out we all are human still, we have to find a way home."

Manny watched as Luke left the room. "We'll deal with that next. I'm going to follow and make sure he doesn't bleed out all over the place, you're welcome to join 75%."

In the hallway, Kyle seemed to be taking Luke's idea of checking the android's room and seeing if there were clues there. He had opened the first few doors, and as soon as he saw that the blanket was there closed the room and went to the next, skipping his own room and any had seen other people exit. Until he opened room three's door. He started searching the room.

Luke kept reminding himself that it wasn't that big of a deal. He would be fine. Watching Zarina cut herself with the jaw bone of the robot was a bit much though. He spun around away from her. "Right to the Galley." He left the Atrium, looking a little green in the face. There was more going on in that room than he cared to think about. One problem at a time.

While avoiding looking at the Android's corpse on the ground Luke went up to the machine and pressed some buttons trying to get the machine to output a knife and some medical supplies. "I do not understand this machine." Gordon having followed him into the Galley shooed him away from it and pressed some buttons.

"You just have to know what menu to pull from." Gordon explained and then the machine popped out a steak, which had a steak knife on the plate. Then it popped out a basic fist aid kit.

"To keep this sanitary I suggest we each use our own knives if we don't have a way to clean the knife properly between uses." Manny said as he entered the room.

"Yeah, cool whatever. I just want to get this over." Manny picked up the knife and Luke held out his hand. Manny grabbed his hand and pricked a finger with the knife quickly. Red blood welled up from the wound.

"Congrats, you bleed red. Gordon, the first aid kit please." Gordon handed Manny the first aid kit and Manny took a little bit of time cleaning up the wound and wrapping it. "You should be fine. Just keep the pressure on it for a little while."

Luke nodded numbly. He hadn't expected Manny to cut him, but honestly, he was glad Manny had. Luke knew the part of him that was afraid of what his spilled blood could mean would have had way too hard of a time doing it himself.
