Rose took in the sights and smells, and people of Camelot. How many of these had her mother seen and might never see again if they didn't succeed? She paid little attention to the food-stealing the group did. She was more concerned with getting to their next destination. So much of what they had been through today had been just getting from one place to the next. Rose hadn't had a chance to digest what was going on. Her stomach growled.

When the old man with the jewels got into Colby and Matthew's face she saw Colby's fist clench, but then Merlin was there shooing the old man away and getting the group back on the path. Rose made note of the fact that there was no code phrase or any other apparent code exchanged between the door guard and Merlin. Magic could change appearances she knew that already, so why were they so trusting?

It was a good thing for the sake of the old man that Merlin had gotten between Colby and him. Colby had been about to deck the old man out of reflex. He had been considering getting some food, but it wasn't like he had any of whatever type of money was used here. Taylor stole some and that seemed like a way to get some too.

Colby used a bit of the confusion around Merlin and the old man to steal a bit of his own food. He snatched two kebabs like things and handed one to Matthew when attention was no longer on them. He bit off a small piece and tasted it. It was pretty good actually. He pulled a bit off and gave it to his cat on his shoulder.

Inside the secret bar, he took a seat away from the others who sat down first giving room between himself and them. "Who's the boss?" He asked quietly to Merlin, then took another bite of his food.

Niah screamed. Both at bumping into Oliver and at the severed head of her sister. Anger flared through her. She felt like she was in a horror movie suddenly. She had to figure out what was going on. Had to find the clues. Niah shut down the part of her brain that saw dead people as people but instead were just dead things. It was hard considering this was her sister's severed head. "Watch my back, I'm going to turn on my enhanced vision, I won't be able to hear anything."

She closed her eyes and let the screaming fade away. When she opened her eyes she was deaf, but she could see in impeccable detail, many times magnified what the normal eyes could see. Niah leaned forward kneeling and pulling from her field kit a set of gloves. She set to examining the head. The vocal cords were flexing under her fingers, though for now she blissfully couldn't hear the screams, the head was definitely the source of the scream.

Whoever had cut the head from the body had done so badly. The cut wasn't clean, as if someone tried to use a butcher's knife and didn't know what they were doing. She frowned. There was a trail of blood leading from where the head had been to Oliver. Her stomach twisted. Had he done this when they were separated? He did have super speed. Had he been replaced too? Blood dripped from his hands. Had that been there before? Niah set the head down gently, removed the gloves, and tried to keep composure. She had to consider her options very carefully.

Matt was antsy. His leg was shaking, and his fingers were fiddling. He was also mad. Matt was having thoughts that Asokho had been a mole. Asokho had left them and joined Rogers when the group was meant to go to Stark Tower. For now, though Matt sat next to Cass. He rubbed her should subconsciously. "Yeah, we've got each other." He nodded firmly. He understood why the others had split off. But he knew if Niah, for example, had stayed she would have betrayed SHIELD too. How could they be trusted to come back even if they did sign Hill's law?

His eyes went around the group. Could they trust them all still? Would anyone else decide, at a critical moment, to join Rogers? Or were there more double agents? Matt's stomach twisted a bit at the thought. He got why the team had been so stressed by Hydra for so long. How were you supposed to trust people like this? It seemed part of the group had been replaced by aliens and the other part was defecting from SHIELD. At least he still had Cass though. And he hadn't been with the team that long so he didn't feel as betrayed as he was sure Bonnie and Cass did.

Andy looked up from the hug that her brother had pulled her into and smiled at him. "Of course that's what sisters are for." Andy had a lot of preconceived ideas of what siblings should be like. She also had a skewed foster family view of what some siblings were like. She thought of the fights she had been in and was glad that she wasn't fighting her brother, instead, she was fighting beside him against monsters.

Andy didn't know how she felt about her dreams being prophetic. Especially after the particularly intense one she had had the night before. It seemed the dreams became more frequent when big stuff was about to go down. She was glad to see her brother's spirits lift up a bit. And Mary wasn't mean to him now that she had joined them in the Galley. She didn't know what had happened between them on the upper deck, but she still planned to later make sure Mary didn't keep being mean to her brother. She frowned. She liked Mary and didn't want to make Mary mad at herself, but maybe the two of them needed an intervention or something. Not that Andy actually knew the definition of intervention just that it was when a group of your friends talked to you about something.

"Where do monsters go when we kill them?" She suddenly asked anyone in the Galley who would answer.

Emily screamed. She wasn't surprised by the fact that the pit scorpion came back and grabbed them, she just hated that she had let it do that. She had known it was in the woods. Dammit, Waverly. At least Waves apologized and even freed her from the pit scorpion's grasp. Emily did not want to think about where it had been dragging the two of them off to.

Niah nodded as Mads asked if she wanted to go with her to figure out why Prometheus was out and about. It didn't seem like she needed to bind him to an oath though. She was curious about something. "Where were you coming from? How did you get the information that Camp was going to be attacked?"

"Well that was unpleasant. Thank you, Waverly." Emily said and turned to the pit scorpion she was glad she had put her seeds in a more accessible pocket and even happier that Marco hadn't been the one out here. Milo might have gotten hurt if it had been him. Also, would charm speak even work on a pit scorpion? Em shook her head and focused on the task at hand.

Niah could believe that Marco had teased the truth and the whole truth from Prometheus, but she knew how many people swore they'd do something or they meant something and it would turn to lies in their heart. Niah didn't trust people, she really didn't trust the gods. Too often they would swear on the River Styx, her mother, which should be unbreakable, but they would break those Oaths anyway. It made her skin crawl. With all of that in mind, she let her attention focus on Prometheus. It took some focusing but she could feel an old broken oath there. It had to do with him deceiving Zeus when he took the fire to humans. If that was his only broken oath that made him wildly more trustworthy than others.

First, she tossed some of her seeds. Her Chlorokinsis worked best with vined plants, especially ones that the fruit could be used to make alcohol with. So, her seeds were for such plants. Several vines grew out from the ground and she mentally controlled them to wrap around the pit scorpion. Em had no idea what the weak points of it were, but she could at least get it pinned to the ground, and her and Waverly could poke it to death. She went in and stabbed it as she did Emily realized that the tail of the scorpion was not bound, a terrible oversight on her part. She quickly controlled some of the vines to pin its tail down. She took a deep breath. "Stab it Waverly or some other damage-causing thing. I don't know if you can sing it to death or not."

Andy had never seen Avatar. She was very lost with what the guy in the mini-skirt was talking about this time. She turned her attention to Kristin and Zarina. "Well I punched the guy causing the Earthquakes till he stopped causing the Earthquakes. Got hit with some shrapnel bits, but nothing too bad. Then I came inside to find my jacket, which had been picked up by the magnetism I guess. It's like my own personal warning system. I'm going to make a point of not zipping it in the future so if any more magnetic people show up they can't pick me up as that lady did with the car yesterday. I didn't stick around after that cause I wasn't going to fight the guy with fire or any of those flying." Andy said.

"What about you Zarina, what did you do?" Andy hadn't really seen what Zarina did, since it seemed she was inside when Zarina was outside and vice-versa. "Kristin I felt bad you were caught up in that firestorm. But I hate fire so I was not getting anywhere near that. I'll help you clean." Andy started help move debris from the table and around. She didn't know enough about building engineering to know if they would still be safe here or if they would have to worry about the building collapsing. Who knew how much damage Avalanche had done before she had been able to knock him out. Though it felt good, she thought, to have been able to go toe-to-toe with the guy. Especially after yesterday and the one guy had been so hard to take down.

Ed considered for a moment the spell that Runa had cast. He had never gotten into illusion magic much and the monkeys didn't feel like illusions. Runa did a good job of getting most of the monkeys out of there. His shields were starting to be broken by the monkeys. He bleakly nodded at Annie. He felt a little dizzy so he sat down. His wounds hurt a lot where the monkey had stabbed him. The cut in his side had been bleeding quite a bit. He should have done some healing and stopped it from bleeding. Unfortunately, his healing spells took a lot of effort and time.

Ed looked up, from where he sat on the ground. Taking in what was happening. Lance had hulked out. Bethany was sending monkeys away. He wondered where they were going. Did Bethany send the monkeys to some shadow dimension? Or like when she teleported people did the monkeys just go to a different location?

There was a really obnoxious song playing, but Guin asked for it to be changed by her A.I. and now ELO was playing. Ed liked ELO well enough. It also made him want a cigarette. He didn't know why, but he wanted one. It hadn't been that long since his abruptly cut off cigarette, but it certainly felt like it had been a while. Ed didn't smoke inside though, that was rude. "Better song choice." He told Guin.

"Klara I don't have it in me to do more healing. I am sorry. I think Mary needs healing though." So did he, but that could be done later.

Everything froze for a second as Niah heard the scream. She knew, downright knew, who that screamed belonged to. When evil-older-Oliver said that Luminous was there it felt like her heart stopped and dropped right into her stomach. She wanted to puke and for a moment it felt like her vision would go black and she would pass out. But it didn't matter. What mattered was getting to Dalisy. Her sister. The sister she had risked so much to bring back to life and had been through hell, and was still technically a wanted terrorist by SHIELD.

Niah didn't consider the consequences. If she had thought it through she would have guessed that the scream was a Skrull or some other devious trick. And that what they wanted was to separate her from Oliver. None of that mattered though. Because she turned and ran as fast as she could toward the scream. Toward what was certainly a bad choice, but what she knew she would regret not doing if she hadn't given it her all.

Matt cursed under his breath. His shot hadn't done any good and they were gone. "So, what now? We've failed as far as I can tell." He looked to Bonnie since Cass was off. "Should we get to the street level and get out of here before local police show up? Or do we want to deal with that hassle?" Matt didn't mind police in theory, he just hated it when they got involved in SHIELD business. He looked at Asokho. "You're going to have to make your paralytic stronger if you want to take a super-soldier down. Not even my touch was strong enough to do much more than put his leg to sleep."

Matt got back down to street level to wait for the others. He didn't care to drive in America except on his motorcycle so it wouldn't be him behind the wheel anyway. He considered what they knew and it was basically nothing. They were always running into a situation blind or with no plan. It had gotten a bit better with Cass as their lead. She could put together a plan that was more detailed than 'don't get killed', they also had gotten some intel this time. He wasn't surprised Agent 13 had turned coat. Who else could they expect to turncoat? Who would be sympathetic to Rogers? That's who they needed to look at now. When the others joined him at the car he said. "Where would he go? It can't be anything SHIELD, but he has to have some old ties, or even the others might have a place. Do any of them have a secret bunker or something they'd go to hide out at to gather resources?" He didn't know Hawkeye or honestly any of the others in Rogers group well. Bonnie and Cass had been with SHIELD a lot longer than him and knew Hawkeye much better than he did.

Merlin didn't answer her question, but it didn't matter because the guards never asked. They didn't seem to care even. She was a little surprised. For a city that was being ruled by a false ruler that would have normally be controlled by the sword, it seemed that they were more open about letting random people in. Heck, their bags weren't even searched.

Rose could think of quite a few ways that could be used against the city. She always had been one to stand up for people's rights, she guessed that just meant she had a pretty good mind for ways of being a rebel. Rose wondered if that was genetic, or had her nearly forgotten early years engendered her toward that thinking.

Following Merlin Rose took in the sights and smells of Camalot. There is definitely something that could be said for modern sanitation. But the food did smell good too. Her stomach grumbled a bit and she tried to remember the last time she ate. It had been hours ago she realized. Before work. Before she had spoken with Sierra and met Willow. Food could wait though. First, they had to see what they could do about saving her mother.

"Sure thing." Colby said to Serria. She walked away joining her friends. He liked to pretend as they were walking that it was just Matt and him alone. That the others didn't exist. He let it all drift away from him, all except Matthew. When they were stopped by the guards he got antsy. Colby didn't care for authority figures, obviously. And guards had sharp pointy things they could stab him with if they desired.

He let out a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding as they crossed into Camalot. This city wasn't his home. It wasn't his land. He was from Wonderland. It also didn't feel right. Everything felt like it was made of straight lines. He knew it wasn't but it wasn't home yet. He might be in the right world, but he wasn't in the right country.

Andy frowned. She understood that it was new to Arthur and Demi, technically it was new for her too. She just had had a head start by all the stuff she had dealt with living on the streets for the last couple of years. She reached over and put her hand on Demi's arm. "Hey, want me to talk to Mary to get her to back off?" Andy liked Mary they had gotten along well during the capture the flag game.

"I understand where you guys are coming from. I spent the last two years of my life fighting to keep it. I was scared and running all the time. There always seemed to be something horrible trying to kill me. For me, this," She lifted her hand and waved it sort of indicating everything around them. "Answered so many questions that I didn't even know I really had. I wanted to know why all these monsters wanted to kill me, but I didn't know anything. Having these answers has made me feel like I wasn't a freak. Like I belonged somewhere. And that's with you guys." She told her best friend and brother honestly.

Emily was confused for a moment as Nancy said she was glad Emily thought she was cool then she realized it was a flaw in drifting language. She resisted laughing only because she was still pissed. But Waverly apologized and took off into the woods. Emily sighed and put her head in hand. That hadn't gone how she expected. Well, it was probably a good thing it didn't. "I'll go after her." Her voice was calm now and she didn't seem like she was going to curse Waverly anymore.

"No offense Emily but you just ripped her a new one. I don't think it should be you that goes after her." In Niah's opinion it might be best if Marco went after Waverly. He was both the most removed from Nancy and he also hadn't just yelled at Waverly. If Niah went after Waverly it might be seen by Waverly that she was there as Nancy's spokesperson even if she wasn't. "Marco, I think it would be best if you went after her." She didn't explain why, but she figured he could guess her thought process. He was smart enough for that.

Emily frowned, "Because I just yelled at her I should go after her. I should apologize." Emily said and walked into the woods after Waverly. It took a minute and a trackback when Emily realized she had definitely lost the trail that Waverly had left behind. But she came upon the younger girl. "Waverly I am sorry for yelling. I won't explain my reasons, but what you said was wrong. Even if Nancy were a friend. Thank you for apologizing to her. We should talk for a moment before going back."

Niah felt her skin tingle. Her mind focused and automatically she said, "And so the Oath is made and bound." Her eyes went wide and she looked around. She hadn't heard anyone make an oath. She didn't even know what Oath she had just bound. It made her skin crawl a bit.

"Who is Ben? I think that alone means you talk to yourself. We're the only people in here." Andy lifted her hand and sort of waved it, gesturing to the room as a whole indicating that it was empty. She was further confused about what Casper was talking about when it came to smurfs. What did he even mean by no one could see his magic wand. Casper went on to say that his mutation allowed him to make the person named Ben appear. That didn't really answer her question.

"My mutation is electrokinesis as my dad called it, and enhanced reflexes. I'm not super speedy but I dodge things well, which means I was really good at Boxing." She gave a bit of shrug. "That's how I fight. I punch things, and I let some electricity flow through my fist and" She trailed off before adding. "...knock people out." Andy looked uncomfortable for a second. She blinked, "Uh. I'm a teen I guess. I don't know what you mean. I think that makes me youth."

There was a fleeting moment as Andy tried to figure Casper out. He was definitely talking to someone she couldn't see. Did he hallucinate or something? Casper gave her the feeling of someone who had done entirely too many drugs in his life. She had met a few of those during her vagabond days before New York. She decided she would like to get out of this conversation, but wasn't certain she knew how. Hopefully, someone would come along and distract the apparently easily distractable Casper.

The monkey's kept coming. They were swarming them and he tried his best but one of the monkeys sliced open his side. It was bleeding heavily. There was no way he could heal in this condition. He would lose his concentration too easily. However, his ability with Thaumaturgy was much stronger. His hand was still touching the shield so it didn't take any movement on his part. He whispered his words and bubbles appeared each person in their group and then expanded out pushing the monkeys off of them. Everyone was safe.

He only glanced at Annie as she was trying to convince him to sit. "Can't. Can't heal. I have to help Runa. I'm the mage." He spoke in broken sentences, which was very unlike him. He moved, taking his shield and Annie's and Runa's combining them all into a larger bubble, and reached his free hand toward her. "I can try to help. I am glad to see you're not trying to kill us now." He gave a wry smile.
