@Feisty-Pants Just to clear something up, but is Elizabeth originally from 'our' world, or from another world entirely?

The basis of this rp is that characters from our world found their true home in another wold, but were brought back to our world and are seeking to go back to their home.

Name: Astrid Merkel

Birthdate: December 22nd, 2001

Gender: Female

Age: 16, lost a few years in the other world.

Parental involvement: Astrid’s parents are very involved in their son’s daughter’s life. They are still trying to get use to their son’s daughter’s new way of life. They did turn to the School for Wayward children as a bit of a last resort, as it seemed that Astrid needed more help than they could fully give. However, they are supportive and love Astrid, no matter what.

Appearance:

Astrid is missing her right eye, and usually wears an eyepatch to hide it. She refuses to wear a false eye, saying it would dishonor the reason she lost her eye to begin with.

Compass: Land of the Dead, Vitus

Short history/personality: From a young age Astrid never felt right in her skin, in her life, in anything. She was always forced into activities she didn’t want to do, and while the other girls were having tea parties, she was expected to be rough and tumble.

It all changed one day when she was visiting a museum. She took a wrong turn and ended up in a grand hall, full of dead warriors. In there, her eyes were opened, as she saw a different world, and found out what she truly was.

She found the door to Valhalla. At first she was a simple servant, but she soon caught the eye of Odin and then later Freyja. They noticed the girl wanted to be more than what she had been and gave her the chance to be one of the chosen, a Valkyrie.

She had finally earned her place, when she was tasked with one last thing. She was sent back to her home, to see if she was ready for Ragnarok. She waits for her door to open… while making sure that Astrid can live, while the part she left back in Valhalla, her past, is forgotten.

Name: Katalina ‘Kata’ Hargraves

Birthdate: June 21st 2002

Gender: Female

Age: 15 in body, 30 in mind

Parental involvement: Kata was pretty much dumped, without being told as much, at the doorstep of Eleanor West’s School for Wayward Children. Her parents want their child back but realize she is not with them anymore.

Appearance:

Item: An oyster that makes “pearls”, which are hard shells full of water.

Compass: Medium Logic, and Medium Virtue

Short history/personality: Katalina ended up in a world under water, with the body of what most humans would call a mermaid, but that is not what they were called in her world, thank you very much. She misses being able to go swimming without her gills, and it angers her that she has to be on land again.

Katalina had at one point been a very shy quiet girl, before shortly before her fifteenth birthday when she was going to the shed outback. She went through a door, and ended up in a world that was beyond her imagination.

The once shy girl was gone, replaced with a warrior as she fought for her home. For about fifteen years she fought, before it looked like a surrender on her side was coming. The king on her side, in a last ditch effort pushed her back through her door, and she landed back in our world, having only been missing for an hour our time.

Angry at this, and having suddenly returned back to her fourteen year old body, one could say this has left her with a lot of anger issues, to the point that her parents finally got tired of trying to ‘fix’ their girl, to make her be the shy quiet girl.

current policy seems fine tbh, if that happens to somebody and they really want to use that picture, they can just edit it a little. it's not like any lawyer in the world would take that to court.

I think that if the artist goes and asks the person to remove it they have that right.

But to go searching for something is a few years old, like three years, it seems rather... odd. I understand being upset about finding your art, but it's not like many of us here are trying to take credit for the art as ours.

I agree with @NuttsnBolts, if it was my art being used, I might be a little proud. (I don't draw, just to be clear.)

The only policy I can imagine for that is for people to provide credit and sources for all of their pictures. But what's the point? The issue barely ever comes up, and if someone really wants to find those images they can use a reverse image search. It's not RP posts from years ago stealing money from online artists. They should spend the time they use hunting down "unauthorized" usages of their images and get a job if money is what they're concerned about.
