"Hmm, that feels like a kind f a waste," Chiya said to herself, actually referring to the need to destroy the letter, as she finished her preparations, all packed within a suitcase and a backpack, plus a telescope within its rightful case.

"The calligraphy is so good and the paper too," the long-haired brunette sighed, "well, as long as it doesn't self-combusts or anything like this, I guess that I can keep the halves as a memento," Chiya though, before finally making up her mind and ripping the letter.

A moment later, the bewildered student was before the school, looking this and that way. The place had a quaint beauty to it, not something grand and opulent like the number one idea that came to anyone's mind when hearing the words magic school.

When she was done with her initial inspection of the building, Chiya turned to look at the people around her. A few other students were already lined up and a duo who looked to be the only faculty members around was there, seemingly waiting for them.

With some of the other students taking this chance to introduce themselves, Chiya thought that she could join in too. "It's a pleasure to meet you all," she said after fidgetting around for a moment, "I'm Chiya, but you can call me Chi, if you feel like it."

Having done with her self-introduction, Chiya turned to the other girls around, who named themselves as Umi and Maemi, and said, "It seems like this will be our new home for some time, right? Doesn't seem like we will be able to play a lot of Quidditch around here, but at least we don't have to worry with ghosts in the bathroom..." A sudden realization that this was indeed not outside of the realm of possibilities for a magic school made Chiya's joke drag a little as she turned to the only adults around and asked in a terse voice while scratching the back of her head, "W— we don't, right? Hehehe."

I'm home now, by the way.
Geez, I had my post practically done, but the events in Arden's post will force me to edit it so that Chiya didn't feels like a jerk for doing light jokes while a wondered people is nearby.

Sigh...

Fufufu~
@Avemelle

My post will come out today. Also, don't take it the wrong way if @TheWindel gets snappy like yesterday. I know that grumpy cat, he was just in a bad mood.

When that happens again you just need to rub his belly and he'll be meowing happily in no time.
*Pats pats @Awesomoman64*

You don't need to be like this. I'll do whatever I can to post, don't worry.

@KoLOh I never meant to have any cross faction meet ups. I literally meant just the angels. That said, having faction specific gatherings in between bouts might help raise moral for the characters and make ceaseless eternal war more bearable. Even in Valhalla where they die to fight to die to fight, they pause on occasion for feasts. But I'm more or less done on the issue. If the GMs are against something, then it doesn't get in. No matter how well it's proposed.

Eh... But we have those already. We had them for a long time, it's called intermission time. I just elaborated a bit more on them right above.

You just spent nearly the whole of the last one with Harley, while the other Angels were celebrating. Don't you remember that?
I'll prepare something for tomorrow. Life was quite too hectic these test weeks.

There was never any explicit barring, sure, but I've always gotten this feeling from the talk in the OOC that you guys didn't want things to be poked and prodded any more than the minimum, especially with Windel's recent statement that he doesn't think things need to be examined in detail if only a small minority cares about it. That and I have been wary of doing anything too bold to depart from the stated preferential format of the RP, because I've previously gotten burned for doing my own thing

Well, as long as the actual suggestion (part two of the previous post) is taken into account then I promise to restrict my comments to just blaming the Jester for everything without serious analysis. Windel isn't the only one who can be lazy.

Well, there's indeed a limit to how much sidetracking and out of context behavior we can admit, but so far most of what happened IC (except inter-faction bar nights and parties) has been mostly within the realm of possibilities.

This RP isn't in as nearly a critical state as the one you are thinking about. Which is why we are trying to keep inactivity and side-tracking at comfortable, to unsure that it never reaches such a critical point.

Yes, though my consideration there is twofold. My initial intent had been for myself and whomever else wanted to come along to have some segments during the interlude that would help to flesh out the factions, which would not involve the GMs insofar as they would make sure we aren't getting off base with previously explained lore.

While I was thinking on that I did realize that this far the War hasn't seemed so much as a war as it was akin to the Scramble For Africa, with the majority of mission types being fighting over unclaimed land. So some fights either on pre-established front lines or attacking into enemy territory would help give it more of a proper feel for the sort of conflict that it is supposed to be

I see. But, the thing is that we never barred anyone from doing anykind of world building or character development during the interludes. Usually it's inactivity/lack of focus that kills it.

We merely usher things forward when we see that interest in whatever kind of scene has reached an asymptote, or that we've spent too much time on it. You can't frankly say that a scene that drags on for more than a month is interesting, can you? There may be exceptions, especially linked to seasonal events, but we know how to adapt. The pauses we do during the Holidays/New year and for school tests period should be a good proof of that.

Over all, we try to do what we see as the best for any given moment. It's the players' choice how/if they'll react to it, or do something of their own. Usually, it just turns out that indecision is the reigning factor when there's no active GM direction.
