Current I'm going to have to take a break for awhile. One of my dogs just passed; we went to bed together like we always do and when I woke up she was gone. I feel awful right now.

Had a fun birthday. Had some alligator tail for dinner, overall was pretty good for a place I hadn't been to before. Will start getting back into the groove of things soon.

Yup, and I never got an email.
But I talked to Hank, and he was 👍 , so it's all good now.

Ah, yeah. That is an issue I've dealt with before. Either you don't get the email or the password recover email is incredibly slow to be delivered.
Right, this is something I've tried to run previously as a group RP that I feel like doing now as a 1x1, albeit with some minor changes. Before you read on, I would like to mention that I do not do gender-based pairings; I would rather people write the gender they feel like writing rather than being forced into playing a certain gender role because the pairing asks for FxM, MxM, FxF, etc. And in regards to pairings, I'm not really looking for romance, but especially not smut. Other than that, my only other set rule is that my partner is capable of writing a few paragraphs per post. They don't have to be excessively long, novella style posts, but at least give me something more than a post that is borderline almost one-liner/free content. If you're fine with all that, then read on ahead and see if you want to give this a shot.

The gist is basically Dead Space but not Dead Space. Humanity is pretty advanced, with colony worlds to extract resources for the more expansive and in turn crowded planets. Canaan is one of these colony worlds, being a cold, lifeless rock floating in space mined for every valuable thing left on it. What people don't know is that Canaan used to have alien life on it, and that life & civilization on the planet was wiped out by a space parasite that turns people into monstrous creatures that are essentially just the Necromorphs from Dead Space. Though the aliens managed to seal away the parasite deep away in ice and rock, by then there wasn't many of them left, so those that remained either died, fled off-world, executed for potentially harboring a deadly plague, etc. No good end, basically.

Fast forward many, many space/galactic years into the future, a bunch of miners from the colony have found the parasite, and because we need a reason for this roleplay to happen, accidentally released the parasite from its prison. Because of the outbreak, the mining colony goes completely dark, with people being slaughtered and their corpses turned left and right. Instead of the quarantine fleet I went with last time, however, the only notice something has happened is a distress signal from the planet that they need help. My character ends up responding to this message and lands on the planet to investigate, only to unknowingly get stuck on the planet with your character, who's probably a miner, an overseer, or someone already on the planet (though we can work something out if you'd rather them to be together on the same ship).

That's basically everything I have so far in sort of a "rough draft" kind of way, so I'm open to any changes or whatever that we can work out. I do have to say, though, I don't write or watch too much scifi, so I won't be too worried about all the technical nitty-gritty of things like in hard scifi; if anything I just want to write a story about surviving deadly space mutants. The only thing that'll probably be realistic here is naming schemes and the art style, at least in regard to humans and their society, because, well we haven't met any alien civilizations yet. Anyway, if you're interested or whatever, feel free to drop me a message below in this thread or DM me.
Fuck. Just fucking great.

The door being locked was now officially the least of her problems. Now, the only path to safety was blocked by one of the undead, and Morgan had to dispatch it quickly to avoid drawing attention from outside.

Her thoughts flicked back to moments ago, when she had to defend herself from her zombified girlfriend. These horrible... things couldn't be alive anymore. They weren't a person, or at least they weren't who they once were. She had already bloodied her bat; the weapon coated in the gory remains of whoever she swung at in the alley while trying to escape. Yet, with all the chaos in the city, Morgan hadn't had the time to truly reflect on what it meant to kill one of the walking dead.

I couldn't do it to... I couldn't save Petra. I couldn't put her out of her of misery.

Morgan took a deep breath, tightening her grip around the bat. Readying herself, she swung at the door knob, hoping to break it somewhat loose so that the zombie inside could be taken care of.

But I.. I can do this. I'm going to live for you, Petra. I swear on it!
@HEAVY METAL Have you tried the "forgot password" feature?

Another "proo" account recently made. I think this is like the 5th or so one so far?
@Kenshi Quick question I figured to ask. Since you have the RP labeled with the modern tag, I'm assuming it's 2021? Or give and take a few years?
Of course the door had to be locked. Sure, Morgan was technically breaking and entering right now, even if the concept of law and order had gone out the window earlier today, but couldn't whoever owned this place had at least made it easier for her to find shelter and safety? Between the non-functioning lights, fresh blood and locked doors, it was almost as if she had stepped into a house of horrors. Maybe it was; maybe Morgan was already dead, left behind to live eternally in hell. People coming back from the dead and munching on people like an all-you-can-eat buffet certainly made it feel like she was.

Contemplating her actions, Morgan decided to announce her presence, in case whoever locked the door was on the other side of it. At least that way she might not be seen as some common burglar taking advantage of the chaos in the streets by brute forcing the lock open with a hefty swing of her bat. But with the blood and everything else, Morgan figured that she might have to come to that regardless. Whoever had been through here already could've been one of the undead, or already bled out somewhere inside.

"Hello? Anyone in there?" She called out, listening for any sound or response, like the noise from before. "I don't mean to break into your place; I'm... I'm just looking for some place to get away from everything out there."
I was aftually thinking Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying Game because I need to learn it and I thought here would be a great way to take it slow and learn it rather than being in person and wasting hours of time. Like here, you pop in from time to time to see whats going on.

Personally, I don't know anyone who plays WFRG. I'd suggest hitting up the #warhammer channel on the discord or talking to the warhammer regulars (@Poohead189, @JB, etc) if they or know anyone who plays.
"Oh god..." Morgan muttered, gagging at the smell. It was rather impossible to see where the blood came from, hidden away by non-functioning lights, but the wet, sticky feeling gave hint that something or someone must've been here recently. She wasn't keen on finding who or what was bleeding all over the place, believing it suicidal given the circumstances at play. Nonetheless, knowing her only other alternative was to go back outside, Morgan meekly resigned herself to her fate as she pressed onwards.

Rumble, rumble!

The sudden noise startled Morgan, freezing her in place. Was there one of them upstairs? Morgan hoped not, but if she wanted to stay alive, she needed to check the place out herself. Squinting her eyes to focus through the darkness, Morgan searched for a staircase, a ladder or something else that led further upwards.
Rushing over to the door, Morgan whacked the zombie guarding it and entered the building. She could hardly see a thing—no other doors or people, but especially no zombies. Nonetheless, even after closing the door behind herself, worry still washed over Morgan. She may have escaped the dead outside, but who knew what was or could be lurking in the darkness.

Holding her bat tightly in a striking position, Morgan looked for around for a light source to better see where she was.
