⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

"Bridgette, how would I frotht my thit?" Cyril asked innocently as he blinked. "Would it thtink lethth?" His eyes widened a bit as thoughts went through his mind. His hand coming up and the button eyes glaring at Bridgette. "Thanks bitch, now I have to hear about how to ice crap for the next three days." This was what happened when his sister did stuff like this. Cyril took her literally. Jericho had to hear it as he spoke. Wrath went blank and tuned it out. Was a neat enough trick whether she knew she was doing it or not. At least now Wrath was gone, for the time being. How long it lasted depended on how shit went down.

Harper showing up made Cyril giggle. "I'm only half Viking," he said giving a hard pat on the shoulder of Harper. It was true. Cyril was only Bridgettes half sister, his Celtic half kept him short. Granted six foot three wasn't short for most people but other than his brother most men on Bridgettes side of the family were taller than him. Hearing his sister declare them friends made him give a tight lipped goofy smile. "Friendth? Okay! I'm Cyril, this is Jericho, do you like Fluffernutterth?" he asked as he showed off Jericho on one hand and lifted his trunk with other.

Anisa rubbed her temples and lit up a cigarette. "I have a lot of new crew members. In fact the only steady ones left now that Preacher is dead are the Pender sisters and I fired one of them. You're new but you're different. I want you to test folk, find out shit for me about them, from them. Find out what they are willing to talk about, what they aren't. I'm not naive enough to trust them off the bat." Taking a long pull from the cigarette she held out the pack with her free hand to Mei.

"You find out what I want, I get the information you want." It was a job, and an offer of payment outside of the room and board. Turning she walked a few paces before sitting down and ashing the cigarette in a tin container before taking another puff. "First one on the list - Foy." That was an interesting choice, she could have picked Harper or Moreau or even that kid Fitz but she chose Foy as the first target. Was the choice a test?

Jahosafat chuckled a bit. "Interesting fellow, dare I inquire as to why the man was constantly throwing the words of God at you?" he asked as he stepped over towards the cabinets, idly checking them. Opening each and then closing it. Turning around finally he looked over at her. "I would have to suspect that he was hoping they would sink in." He gave her a subtle smile as he picked the will back up and stepped towards he door of medical.

"You obviously knew the man of the cloth better than I, could I impose on you to fetch the Preacher a frock you believe would be fitting for a burial? I should attempt to find the Captain and get this will to one Miss Vinters." His voice was even, he wasn't sure if she wanted to do the task and not have to be in medical to watch the body or if she would rather stay behind and have another moment alone with him.

Akhmed looked over towards Mosi and a smile formed on his lips but it faded when he saw the mark that she showed him. His brows lowering as he stepped out from behind the counter and came closer to her. Kneeling down and taking a closer look at it there was a nod. "Yes I know it," he said as he looked up at her. Slowly he rose to stand fully again. He was about to say more but another came over. Miss Ridgeway from the night before. It was probably best to get her on her way than to stay there and talk and have her wait.

"We didn't use to but once Lady Munn started keeping her cat around here we did," he said motioning out to the street. "There is usually one of two out there trying to get the sale for the day. If you wouldn't mind, can you get enough for two cats?" he asked as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out some bank notes. "Don't pay more than this for three pounds," he said as he handed it over. "Sorry but I have to run and help a guest," he said to Lauren before turning his attention back to Mosi. "Follow me if you would."

Vera looked over at the cat as it hissed. It didn't seem too terribly pleased right then. It made her wonder where Merneith had gotten away to but she wasn't overly worried about her own personal feline. Cats had a way of surviving. Lauren was off to go get some food for the cat, hopefully that would be enough to get it out of there or at least stop hissing. Rubbing her temples she glanced over as her new assistant came into the room. Josephine was right, more and more were getting drug into this.

Even the cat was because as Nora reached out the cat it calmed, almost instantly. Purring and rubbing its head against her hand and more than that the branding. This was a curious development. Especially as it kept close to Nora, winding its way around her and becoming a hissing blockage between Nora and Mahendra. Vera perked a brow, whatever it was, it was at least making her focus on the now as she stepped over to the man and looked at the symbol. "Set."

The man left to allow them some time. George stood there and watched in silence, not breaking it until the Lord Major spoke to him. "Mmmm, yes. Thank you. If you will let me... tell you about the metal piece while we do," he said quietly before the man re-entered. After that, it was not long before Peters body was placed in a pine box and taken out to the vehicle fro the barracks. George walked in silence and opened the doors for Reginald as they went. Once they were back in the transport, they were ready to go.

Crash Site: Ross stumbled slightly, wiping the blood and sweat from his brow. He normally wouldn't be sweating but the heat from the flames was causing it to be much hotter than it should. "Here," he said in a gravelly voice as he made his way through the smoke and dust that had been kicked up. There was a flash of light and then the sound of thunder crackling. Looking up as he felt something damp on his cheek the weather started to turn. It was starting to rain. This could be a good thing, at least it would help douse the fire if it came down hard enough. Then again, if the winds kicked up too much it could cause the fire to spread rapidly. Grimm had been going through a drought.

"Come on, we gotta get out of here," he said as he finally made his way over to Iris and held his hand out to help her walk if she needed it. "There should be a hanger with a car waiting for us about a mile from here. We can't stay," he added as he pulled out gun from his side holster. "Can you shoot?" he asked.

Funeral Home: Over in the Fisher & Sons Funeral home, things were quiet when Riley and Priya entered. The dark wood made the place seem much darker. A large round table with flowers sat in the center of the main room. To the left and to the right were room that looked to be set up for viewings if need be. There was hallway towards the back of the room that split off to a set up stairs that lead up. There was a sign by the bottom of the stairs marked private.

Coming down the stairs was a man dressed in a suit looking stressed. It seemed though that look was probably a permanent state. He forced a required smile. "Hello, I'm David Fisher. You must be here for Chloe Ridgeway. I am terribly sorry for your loss," he said as he came down the stairs and held his hand out to shake Rileys and then Priyas. David was older than the Ridgeway sisters, by a good ten years. He hadn't gone to school with them but his family had been the main funeral home in Grimm for over forty years, so they were known enough. At least enough because of the fact they took care of many of the funerals over the years.

Justice, California: Maria quirked a brow at the song but she didn't say anything, she was trying to refrain from smacking Caesar upside the back of the head for his little stunt but she kept her mouth shut for the most part. "Better choice in music than Alicia," was all she said as they made their way through the streets of Justice. Things were calm during the drive. It seemed that Lady Luck was being kind to them, maybe it was because they had a baby in the car, then again that had never stopped the dice from doing something horrific. Yet for now, things are good and the traffic isn't an issue.

At least not for them. Outside of Justice was another story. As Mali kept driving Zoie started feeling under her seat. "Damn it," she muttered. It seemed that Trisha hadn't left a gun stashed under there for them. The closer they got the more tense Zoie seemed to get. The black smoke was billowing up. She didn't say for Mali to drive faster. Part of her wanted to but part of her didn't want to know.

As they crested the hill it wasn't the house on fire, it was the barn. That was good, maybe a lamp had just been kicked over but right then Zoie would have rather it been the house. She didn't have animals in the house. She did in the barn but from the looks of things most were out in the pasture. Marks limo was in the front of the house but there was no sign of him. "Where the fuck is he?" she asked. The question was more to herself than to anyone there.

"The barn?" Relic asked as he closed his lap top. That was not a good thing is he was, the place was ablaze.

Texas/Mexico Border: Cecily was able to pull the car over without issue but Natashas coughing fit wasn't going away. If anything it was getting worse. As the car came to a halt, Natasha scrambled out of it, falling to her knees as she kept hacking up what felt like a lung. The pavement becoming splattered with blood with each cough and then a small pool of it as it drizzled like honey out from her lips and down her nose. This wasn't good.

It seemed like she was trying to talk, trying to get words out but she couldn't catch her breath. It sounded like she was drowning in her own fluids as her skin became clammy and she broke out into a cold sweat. Her body was shaking as her palms pressed into the ground, the gravel cutting into her skin as she pressed her weight on it. Each cough sent her back into a deep bend, arching like a cat who was hissing. It wasn't pretty. "Lied." It was the only word she was able to get out as she kept coughing.

Kirkpatrick House: "How do you feel about drawing and quartering someone?" Lady Kirkpatrick asked as she moved up the stairs with Maeve and Charles. Charles was happy to show the new woman to her room but wasn't too happy when his aunt dismissed him and told him to go play. That was until she planted the idea that frogs loved swimming in soup. It was getting close to lunch time and Sally knew that their guest would be taking her lunch in her room and she only ever ate soup at lunch. This seemed to put a skip in the boys step as he rushed off.

Once her and Maeve were in Maeves quarters she shut the door behind her and clicked her cane against the ground. "My quarters are adjacent to yours." Motioning towards the double doors at one end of Maeves room. "Breakfast is at 6, morning tea at 10, lunch at 1, afternoon tea at 4, supper at 7." she said as she pulled a piece of paper from her coat pocket, it had a broken wax seal on it. Looking down at it she reread it before slipping it back into her pocket. "You are here because of the oaf downstairs but you work for me. I will let you settle in." Turning she left the room and shut the door behind her.

It was a good ten minutes before a knock came to the door. "May I enter?" It was Thomas.

England

London: Game to play, we love to play, we love the games. As with all games one must reset the board. You can't just keep playing once the king is captured. You have to start over to protect the king or save the queen. God save the queen? Why save the queen? The black queen, not the white. Or was it white and not black? Black and white, wrong or right, write, black ink or red ink, black queen, red queen. No red queen. Cover the white queen, make her red, paint her red. Paint the roses red. Blood was never fun.

Insanity ran rampant but it wasn't running away. Never run away. Why run away? Run to. An eye to Mr. Talk. An eye to the wall. Moving through like little pieces. Each piece, little soldiers, one, two, three, keep moving, keep counting. One side of the wall, the other side of the wall. A grin, a move, back to the wall, move the growth, play the game, reset the board. Watch the wall close.

"Not mad, just glad," Ludwig said as he pushed his glasses up his face and watched the wall start to close back. He gave a look towards Thalken with a grin. "Not stupid, you care Mr. Talk." He gave an insane chortle before skipping back and catching up with the front of the circus, jumping back on the wagon he was assigned to and pulling out his journal. Oh he had much to write.

The Sea: The seas are calm and the winds are good. Was travel this good the night before? One could only hope it wasn't as to slow Rutherford down but at least if it was as good as it is now they were not losing more time. It gave hope. At this rate they would make good time to Port Annan. What happened once they reached Scotland was anyones guess. Every seemed to be going well as they reached further from the coast to get better winds, all but something a tad off. There seemed to be some sort of static in the air.

"That's odd," the Captain said as he rubbed the back of his neck where the hairs were standing up. The compass seemed to be pointing in an off direction and if anyone had a pocketwatch, it wouldn't be ticking. Did it just run down?

Nottingham: "Any information is useful, none of it vasteful, thank you," she said towards Virginia and then turned to thank Mary as Myska was starting to look more like himself. "Ve make haste, north," she said but she left the route up to Sister Mary. She knew the country better than the Grand Duchess.

Climbing up on Myska she got settled and waited for Mary and Virginia to do the same. Once they had she waited for Mary to take the lead. They had to hurry but what were they rushing to she wasn't sure anymore. Something was pressing them north, maybe Millicent was just an excuse to keep trucking in that direction but Elizaveta would not question gods guiding hand. She would keep moving north until the signs told her to go in another direction. God had yet to let her down. She was in England because of a vision.

Watching the tower nearly take out Cyn and Nor wasn't a fun thing to watch but at least they were out and they were safe. It wasn't long before Keystone came running out as well. She would have hugged the big oaf but she had seen the throwing up and she knew better. She just kind of stood there, her knees buckling slightly under the shaking of the ground. He was alive, the hug could wait until the bastard had a bath. A long bath, in bleach.

"Where's Satilla and Thomas?" she asked Keystone. He was the last out of the tower and those two were still missing. Cyn and Nor were out, he was out, she was out, Kyra and Ash were dead, so that left Thomas and Satilla. She hadn't seen either of them make a leap of faith like she had out of one of the upper levels. She was pretty sure she had seen Keystone vomit on Thomas but now with all the dust and debris she shouldn't be sure. Carefully she started looking around as she brought her hand to her mouth and nose trying to stave off a lot of the dust and not breath it in.

Update

Remember to get rolls even if outside of the tower due to the fact the walls are a tumbling down. The last floor of the tower is holding constantly but shit is still up for grabs and will be determined by a roll by roll basis for each person about to post.

Thana kept at Thalias six, where she said she would be. Glancing back over her shoulder she noticed that Beatrice was keeping up but the others were falling behind some but she didn't hear anything so it was a good sign, at least she hoped that no one else was dead. Getting ones throat slit sucked. Silent kills meant that they had more on them than they had accounted for. Sure there had been more outside but they hadn't seen them. Yet.

Thalia was kicking in doors it seemed, well at least getting through them. It looked like the latest one she checked was the jackpot they had been hoping for. Looking over Thalias shoulder Thana let out a breath. "Finally," she said as she looked around. It was a weapons and food stash. The stash was probably much lower than it normally was but to her it looked like a gold mine that had never been tapped. Various weapons, boxes of ammo, MRE's, canned foods, medical packs, bottled water, and rope. That was the first thing Thana reached for. The Rope.

"Grenades? Could have used this five minutes ago," she said to herself right before she head a gun go off. Seemed there were more coming up behind them. She didn't know who fired the shot but Manny and Alexander would. Edenites were coming in from the room above them. Seemed one of them got trigger happy and shot one of their own, dropping him like a frigged prom date. "Reloading," Thana said as she grabbed two clips and went about reloading her weapons. She wasn't about to back track without being fully loaded.

And now we enter the world of the case files. Each of you are going to assigned a trainer, some in pairs, others in trios. Each case you will have 10 days to COMPLETE. Not get partially through, complete fully. These are your training sessions. Where you will learn your skills. Which skills you will be getting? Oh the dice is determining that. So that will make it very interesting to see who gets what when. At the end of each case, I will let the Paradoxes know which skills were learned during that case.

Trainers are in charge during the cases. How they train you is up to them. Emendators, take control. I have listed out a ~study~ for each of you. This is in a broad sense and goes along with your characters CS, so work with it. You can try to train them with anything just know what the focus is. Example, Evelinas study is ~Under Pressure~, she will teaching people how to deal with stress, how to remain calm and focused under different conditions, and so forth. The Study listing has suggestions but you don't have to go by that. Just as long as you can explain that what you are doing ties to the title. Now with ~Under Pressure~ she could do this in tons of ways. And it will change with each character she is dealing with. So pay attention to your students CS's, especially their personality. You can use all of this to help them learn things. (And to have some fun tormenting them, lol)

Location is just your ~meeting place~ to start your training. You may take your students ANYWHERE. You heard me right, ANYWHERE in ANYTIME. This could be in any RP I am currently running, could be in any RP on my timeline, could be your own, could be anything in human history or some place you make up and think would be interesting. HAVE FUN! *Note: If you leave the grounds, pm me for a roll to see if during your time outside of the safe haven you run into any ~problems.~

Evelina:
Pupils: Sophia
Study: Under Pressure (How to handle ones self no matter what, how to stay focused, how to control powers, how to remain calm, when to vent, how to harness the bad, how to tap the good, etc.)
Location: The Barn

Gilbert:
Pupils: Faith, Bart
Study: Battle! (Fighting, preparing, historical battles, techniques and tactics, right weapons for the right times, how to deal with killing someone, etc.)
Location: The Mill

Nancy:
Pupils: Andromeda
Study: The World Is A Stage (How to blend in, how to make the most of a situation, how to not be noticed, when and where to use skills, etc.)
Location: The Swamp

Giosue:
Pupils: James
Study: History Repeats Itself (How to manage time, History itself, all around knowledge.)
Location: The Oak Tree

Belladonna:
Pupils: Alexandra
Study: Find Yourself (Personal evaluation.)
Location: Peters Grave

Now, you have 10 days to get your case done. Once counter hits 11, you are over. So keep that in mind. I suggest you collab these out in PM with each other or on Si to make things easier than trying to post back and forth. At the end of this case I will post again, and again, until every character has gotten a decent amount of training. At the end of each Case, once it is posted and I have reviewed it, I will roll to see what skills ~stuck~, if secondary abilities came forth, the amount of control you gained, and so forth. This is going to allow us to cover a lot of time and Rping quickly. Once Training is done, then you will go on to full assignments.

The day will start like any other day at Camp, weather is the same, layout is the same. No need to worry about much to start. Letters are left and slipped under your room doors on where to go come morning instructing you to meet your trainer at the starting location. A bell will toll over the grounds at 5:50 AM to start the day, time to be at the starting location will be listed as 6:00 AM. Start your posts waking up OR there, however you wish.

Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor. (I will be pming my students shortly.)

Jahosafat gave Dorothy a moment to read over the letter he had handed to her. While she read that he looked over the will he had found in the Preachers room, skimming it quickly and glancing towards Dorothy here and there and waiting for her to get done. Once she had, he finally answered her. "Indeed. It seems he left most all of his possessions to a one Bridgette Vinters. Save two items of note," he said as he slipped over to her and pointed to a single line in the will, he read it out loud as his finger ran underneath the text. "I do here by leave all my possessions to Bridgette Vinters with the exception of the following items. My personal bible and rosary are to be bestowed to Doctor Dorothy Pender, may she find a use for these items other than throwing them at people."

Jahosafat quirked a brow and shrugged to himself as he reached over to thee table and picked up the rosary he had already removed from the pocket of the preacher. Holding it out to her. "He had several bibles in his quarters, I assume you will know which one he is referring to," he said in an caring voice. It was an odd choice of items to leave a person, especially to one who seemed as scientifically focused as Dorothy was but he wasn't going to let his mouth run away with him right then. Not with her.

Anisa swallowed slightly. "Yes, very well. Get the quarters in order Foy. Harper go greet Miss Vinters and her brother, Daphne, please take Fitz down to medical before he vomits on my floor. Jackie make sure Foy don't be flowerin' up the rooms too much. Mei you are with me, we have somethin' to discuss before anythin' else occurs," she said before dismissing the group. "We will all meet back here in thirty minutes for an update on funeral services for the Preacher and information on our job."

With that she turned and motioned for Mei to follow her. She needed to have a talk with the woman before Bridgette and Cyril were brought to her. Something else was going on in the ship and she wanted to test the woman. This would be a hell of a test. Getting to her room she opened the door and left it open for Mei to enter after her. "Close the door behind you," she said as she took a seat. This was about to get interesting.

Granted even if something interesting wasn't happening on the ship right then, it would be soon enough. Bridgette was there now along with Cyril and Cyril looked like a child about to go on a roller-coaster ride of some sort for the first time. A little bit scared but really excited at the same time. He usually got like this before they moved into a new place but it was obvious he looked a bit more excited than normal. This was the first time in a while where they were moving somewhere that could turn into a more stable place to live, and he would have his own bunk!

"Should I get the fucking door?" Cyril finally asked after a while of waiting and Bridgette sending the message. That voice from him was not his childlike voice, it was another voice. It was a voice that didn't come up often and for good reasons. Wrath wasn't a voice one wanted dealing with normal people. Not unless someone needed to be killed.

October 5th, 1924

Akhmed shuffled through some papers at the front desk. He was a bit late getting in and had to do some catching up but at least he was here now even if he did look a bit disheveled. He really didn't anything going wrong today. Thankfully a cat inside of the museum wasn't something wrong. Vera had a cat. An Egyptian Mau named Merneith that roamed the hallways of the museum constantly. Since she had arrived there it had become like an unofficial mascot. Thankfully for Lauren, because of this, there was food available. Maybe not currently inside of the museum but there were traders outside known as Cat Meat Men that came by regularly. (Cat and dog food during this time tends to be a freshly made diet consisting of horse meat and other items of scraps.)

Vera looked over at Josephine and nodded, the cat meowing and then hissing underneath the desk. It had to do with all those that had died so far or been hurt but yes it had to do with Peter particularly just then. Even if she didn't believe in hocus pocus and curses, she did believe in cause and effect. If she hadn't be researching her uncles death here in Cairo, she would have been in London right then. Peter wouldn't have come to Cairo and wouldn't have died in Cairo.

At least that was what Vera thought or had convinced herself of, George on the other hand wasn't convinced. Granted he knew a bit more about the situation than Vera and the others did. Looking over at the Lord Major he gave the man a nod and grunted slightly. "Mmm, yes. Peter died how he would have wanted to, protecting others," he said as they headed for the morgue. Once there George took a position slightly behind the Lord Major as he spoke. The man at the desk looked up and nodded.

"Yes, I have these recovered from the body," he said as he stood up and opened a box on his desk. It contained various burned items. Gold cufflinks, a golden pocket watch, the wallet was burned beyond opening, only the handle of his walking cane remained, his revolver, and an oddly shaped piece of metal. George eyed the metal piece.

"Mmm, that piece is what was in his leg," he said to Reginald. It was the piece that had pierced through Peters thigh.

"Would you like to see the body or is this enough to identify him?" the man asked. George hoped this would be enough for the Lord Major, he didn't want the man to look at the body. Who would want to look at corpse that burned.
