⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

As the last guest entered the domain, the door was pulled shut by Cassius. One could hear the sound of a lock clicking into place from the outside. A single toe click by the butler sounded on the marble flooring as he crossed a leg behind him and then turned one hundred and eighty degrees. His gloved hands resting on the brass handles of the doors behind him. He turned them and sharply pushed the doors open. Standing there on the other side of the door was a single man. He stood a tad under six feet in height and of average weight, dark hair and dark eyes, tightly groomed facial hair, and a rather displeased expression on his Wintering features. He was dressed pristine in his black clothing with ornate crimson trims. It was rare to see fabrics that didn't look worn in the slightest, even within the royal family. His looked perhaps as if was the first day the cloth had even been woven.

Stepping forward and to just beneath the center frame of the double doors his eyes moved from one person to the next until he had looked directly at each masked figure before him. His hand went out sharply and in the black gloved palm, the butler placed the invitations that were collected at the gate. His eyes glanced down at them and then back up. The man had a strong presence about him as he stood perfectly still for a moment before letting the invitations fall from his hand. "You were not invited." His voice was as equally strong when he spoke. Firm, definitive, final. He let the words soak in for a moment before he continued.

"I wondered if anyone would attempt to attend that did not receive the proper invitation when I received a similarly scribbed noticed, left attached to the front gate three days prior. Many thoughts went through my mind. Who could have sent the message. Was this a ruse to gain entry. Should I allow entry into my home and sanctum. Should I simply have anyone attempting to enter without my personal invite shot and fed to my dogs. The last I am still debating. I could ask if any among you would venture to execute such a feat but I wouldn't trust a single word of it. So, for now, you have been granted entry in my hopes that I will weed out the culprit and bring them to a swift and fitting end. You will leave when I allow it. Not a moment before, unless death claims you. Have I made myself perfectly clear?"

Vera Munn

Location: Docks - The Ferry (Main Deck)
Skills: History (Ancient Egypt), Mythology (Ancient Egypt)

Vera kept moving up the gangplank and eventually onto the main deck of the boat that they were boarding. She would bump into people but she wasn't really paying attention. Granted, everyone was bumping into everyone right then. Those boarding, those disembarking, people milling about as they waited for the ship to raise anchor and pull out on the tide. The docks were just as busy if not more so as there were more ships in harbor, each with their own destination and time table they had to follow. Looking over at Nora she smiled as she continued to speak.

"Now this you might find fascinating, I know I do. Some historians attribute Bastet as Horus twin. I believe this is just a mistranslation. Not on purpose mind you but one sometimes wishes to see what one wants instead of what is true. I am hoping that once we reach Bubatis I can find the original hieroglyphics. Now you might be asking yourself why this is important. Well, I will tell you. You see, many want to tie in ancient religions. They try to link Bastet with Artemis and there for she must have a twin, so let us slap that onto Horus. Preposterous! Bastet is the child of Ra. Singular, with no other parental lineage. At most they could tie her to Zeus as Athena due to her birth legend. Everyone knows that Horus is the child of Isis and Osiris and that his sibling was Anubis. Now, how they tied Horus and Set together to give us Thoth is beyond me, I would need to see the original tiles. I mean there is enough evidence that Set killed his nephew, not consorted with him."

It seemed that Vera was on a bit of a diatribe when it came to Egyptian History of the Ancient world but there it was and she kept talking, even if no one was listening as she stepped onto the main deck of the boat and over to a seat. Motioning to the table before her. There were several open as most were either trying to get to their rooms or to the railings to watch the boat push off and wave to people they had never met. Vera had not time for this. "Granted, this is all hokum of course but it is very fascinating to see how these beliefs molded and structured the old and new kingdom."

George Benaszewski

Location: Docks - The Ferry (Boarding)
Skills: Observation

George rose a brow at Gene. "Sister... no..mmm. Sorry, just surprised," he said before finally leaning down and giving the woman a hug. He was very surprised to see her. They had not spoken in sometime. Not too terribly long in the grand scheme of things but he was not expecting to see her pop up in Cairo, that was to say the least. Last he had heard she was at home and dealing with a lot of people that made her want to pull her hair out.

Releasing her he replayed what she had said in his mind and his brow furrowed. That couldn't be good. "Mmm, okay. I have to help with somethings first. Um, you have a ticket?" he asked even though she had already answered that question before it was even asked. Of course she did, her getting a ticket was like pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Gene had a knack for getting a hold of exactly what she needed right when she needed it. "I..am..um, helping take over for a friend. Um,mmm," he said before turning to the Lord Major.

"Mmm, Lord Major, this is my sister Gene," he said introducing the two. "Mmm, sis this is Lord Major Reginald Keystone. He is Peter's uncle, the one I told you about from the war," he said solemnly. He had spoken about Peter when he returned but she wouldn't know that Peter had passed just yet. He hadn't mailed a letter off this week telling her of what was going on yet. He figured he would ask her how she found him later. Not in mixed company. It wasn't the time. "We mmm should board," he said before looking around. He had lost sight of Vera and quickly pressed his way up the gangplank only to find her at the main deck sitting at a table rambling on like she did. There was a hint of a smile on his lips as he started towards the table.

Turning the ring on his pinky, Titian kept his eyes forward for the majority of the time while more people followed in. His eyes were on the butler. Yet as one crossed in his line of sight he turned his head and watched as others took positions around the room. "It like everyone waitin' for the floor to open up an' swallow them," he chuckled a bit as he scratched at underside of his furry chin. After the chair rocketed into the air, he was surprised that anyone even got close to a chair, much less sat down in one. That thought alone made him laugh a little to himself as he looked back at the door and waited for petite Professor Walnut to enter.

Looking back forward he rested one hand on his belt buckle. "Should have carried her." It was a word in passing. Maybe he should have. Just picked up Professor Walnut and brought her in. Poor thing, shorter legs and that dress. It could have been making the stairs a bit much. Seemed the new woman that had appeared at the last possible moment was even smaller than Walnut. He was pretty sure if he pushed both of them together he would still be larger.

Breathing in deeply his brow cocked and he looked around again. The gas lights that were around the room illuminating the place flickered. The flames from the fireplace casting warm shadows on the walls that looked to dance. Slowly his eyes settled back on the butler. He was waiting patiently for the Lord to show himself. The butler had a rather arrogant look on his face. Wonder what he meant by that lordly look.

Alicia Gonzalez

Location: Ville au Camp - Main House - Room 105: Hallway -> Room 206: Alicia's Bedroom
Skills: Empathy

The Elder Paradox had left the grounds, as well as The Cards. That left The Hat and The Watch in charge. Granted The Hat was leaving with one of the younger Paradoxes soon. People would be arriving soon if someone didn't do something about it. Sure they had cancelled the evening festivities before but it was a rare occasion. In fact, since the new Paradoxes arrived there hadn't been a single evening where Eve had not opened the gates to greet the people of the surrounding area. Alicia had once asked Eve so long ago why they did this, even when things were going bad. "It might be hard for you to understand because you have the memories of two lives within you but you are a child. Children need structure. They need order in the midst of chaos. Only during the most dire of times will I close these gates come dusk. The day that happens, we will know we are truly preparing for the end."

Those words went through Alicia's mind as she walked with James up to her room and unlocked the door. She felt a queasy feeling in the pit of her stomach remembering them. Would the gates be closed tonight? The key turned and she stepped inside, not liking the situation what so ever. Right then she felt like she had many times next to her father before she came here. She knew she was trained, she knew she could handle most any situation, and yet he took point. She followed orders. He was the elder. When she was in that life she thought it was stupid. Sure her father was nearly a legend in his own right but she was younger, faster, smarter - right? That had all blown up in her face when she died. He outlived her. In both lives. There was something to say about age. Experience. She felt like that right now, once again. Like the child wanting to rush out and do something but would she go three for three and end up dead again.

Grabbing the flask of tequila and took a heavy swig from it before handing it out to James. "1Hostia.." she muttered under her breath before kicking off her boots and crumpling on her mediation mat. Huffing slightly she reached into her back pocket and pulled out a worn out Polaroid picture. "Schrodi caught me out in Babylon and wanted me to give this to ya." She turned it over in her fingers a bit before holding it out to the man. "Said it was Tati's, whoever the hell that is. Anyways, kids name is James Sally," Alicia said setting it down and crossing her legs.

Shaking her hair out she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, she had been gone for fifteen months on assignment and training with Clops. That was a real shit show as far as she was concerned but she had learned a lot and actually got to stretch her muscles as it were when it came to using her skills in a more practical sense. The old man was anything but conventional with his teaching tactics. That feeling in the pit of her stomach still wasn't letting up and in-fact it was growing. "Something ain't fucking right..." she said rubbing her stomach and pressing in on it. Couldn't be the tequila, Papi had rubbed her pacifiers down with the shit when she was a baby. She handed that booze better than water.

Opening her eyes she looked over at James as a light started to emanate from her eyes, then nose and mouth. It was so quick and blinding. "2A mí la muerte me pela los dientes..." The words were barely a whisper When it died down one could hear a baby rattle and something else hit the mat where Alicia was once sitting. The cameo that once hung around her neck of Santa Muerte seemed to have a grin on her skeletal teeth as the babies rattle simply lay there.

Darker Than Black
Chapter 4: Prometheus

At the time of making this, it has been nearly three years of constant RP. The characters have been through so much. The body count is high and only looks to grow now that we enter Chapter 4. Prometheus has arrived and everything is about to change. This video is in tribute of those that are still around, those we have lost that have contributed much to the story line, and perhaps even a hint or two of what is to come.

Music: Under Silver Grey Skies By Kamelot

Year 5: Update

Date: April 1st, 2012

Wayne Maldonado

Location: Okefenokee: D12 -> D10(Road)
Skills:Athletics, Machete

Wayne was having too much fun riding out his high. He was dancing and strolling and strutting as he went. "Oh! Let's go! Steve walks warily down the street with the brim pulled way down low. Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet. Machine guns ready to go. Are you ready, hey, are you ready for this? Are you hanging on the edge of your seat? Out of the doorway the bullets rip to the sound of the beat. Another one bites the dust, another one bites the dust and another one gone, and another one gone. Another one bites the dust. Hey, I'm gonna get you, too. Another one bites the dust."

It really didn't amount to a hill of beans that there was a walker coming right at him. He pulled out his machete and took a wack at the thing. The Blade went into the skull but not far enough and it kept trying for him but Wayne just started acting like he was leading it in the worse episode of Dancing With The Stars in History. Sadly the show had begun not too long before the outbreak. It only got one good season in before the world went to shit. Pity too because Wayne imagined that if they had ever gotten a chance to get Gary Busey on that show, it would have a marvelous train wreck.

Eventually Wayne apparently got tired of his dance partner and took another swing, leaving the things brains spilling out all over the asphalt. Then he just kept going and kept singing. Apparently his wailing was getting the attention of the other walkers because even as the small horde was following Erica around the bend, the other one in front of her wasn't paying attention. It was turning and heading down the road towards the high as a kite mother fucker doing his worst Michael Jackson impression.

Tatiana Newnan

Location: Headland: East Main Street (E7)
Skills: Knife, Close Combat Fighting

Tatiana looked over the top of the hood of the old car she was ducking behind, god let there be someone from Newnan in that big ass truck. She had passed tons of large vehicles over the last year but never stopped. The Hordebuster was another story though, she knew that truck. It was one of a kind. She had taken a gamble. Grabbing the wheel of the car she had been and yanking hard, it causing the driver to hit the breaks. That was when she had shoved open the door and jumped. Biting her bottom lip she wondered if she had made the right choice but as soon as she spotted a man leaping out of the Hordebuster as if he was possessed she knew she had. She didn't even have to see his face. There was only one man that would run blindly into a gun fight if she screamed. That was her husband.

As he hit the hood and started to slide over it she backed up and then fell into his arms as he covered her. She wasn't shaking like a leaf though, not like she once had. She couldn't afford to right then. She had been through too much. It was one thing to go through a shit storm of a world alone but she had their child to think of. That brought out the bear in a woman and the super in a man. Pulling back she looked at Jack, her hands coming up and pressing a deep kiss to his lips roughly. The rain beating down around them. "Ve make them suffer, gut them," she said darkly as she broke the kiss. There was shadow over her eyes and a venom in her voice. Tatiana had been the forgiving type. Hell she had even been nice to Richard! If she was saying this, shit had to go down.

Turning she moved along the backside of the back side of the car, around the trunk and stayed down. The man was firing his automatic rifle at the area of the Hordebuster. Tatiana didn't know Amelia was there, or Riley, or that Ash was shot. They were too far down the road in the rain to see. The mans attention was in front of him so she moved quickly behind him and shoved her knife into his back. He dropped the gun, spinning around and back fisting her against the cheek. Tatiana flew against the car she had climbed out of. The sound of a baby crying came from the car. Tatiana brought her boot up and kicked the man in the stomach as he charged her, kicking him back before she jumped at him and the two got into a knock down drag out fight in the middle of the street. Both of them spilling out onto the asphalt with Tatiana pinned under him. Her knife fallen out to the side. Each hit that landed on her she grunted or tried to block with one hand as she scuffled to roll over and grab her knife.

Thana Martin

Location: Quincy : House (E9): Inside House (B9) -> On The Road Alone
Skills: Survival, Red Neck Engineering, Redneck Vehicles

"Tell you what Doc, next time you take care of the engineering and I'll do the surgery," Thana quipped. She had been slowly more and more out of her usual uptightedness but she still wasn't wavering from her position over Thalia. This wasn't going to pretty or neat. Thana knew that. Yet she didn't move. Not as the blade made contact with Thalia's arm and the blood splattered everywhere, Thana taking a heavy amount of it on the side of her face and hair. She didn't flinch as the scream ripped from Thalia's lips. It stung her ears being so close but she held her still, she wasn't going to move, not now. She had a death grip on her shoulders and arm. When Thalia passed out it was a blessing. Probably for everyone.

Once it was calm enough for her to move, she did. Thana's arms were aching from refusing to move in case Thalia woke up during surgery. She didn't. Once Manny was done she stood up, her back cracking like a bubble wrap factory had been blown up and she grunted. "Time to assess the situation," she said as she pulled her gun out and walked down the hallway. If there was another walker in the house it would have shown itself by now but she wasn't taking chances. Once she knew for herself everything was clear she came back in with pillows and blankets from the bed rooms. Dropping them on the floor by the table.

"Doc, do your job and keep her alive. The place s halfway stocked. Towels and cleaning supplies in the bathroom it seems. Clothes in closets and drawers. Looks like someone was moving in but never got a chance," she said idly as she walked into the kitchen and opened the cabinets. "Some canned food," she said pointing. It wasn't much. Mostly canned vegetables and fruit, a few cans of tuna. She took one can and shoved it into Manny's chest. "Give that to her when she wakes up," she said. It was a can of SpaghettiO's.

Grabbing the battery she unhooked it from the saw. "There is a truck in the garage. I am going to go hunt medical supplies. She is gonna need them. You keep her alive," Thana restated to the Doctor. "You keep watch," she said towards Alex. "You're in fucking charge," she said to Beatrice before marching towards the garage with car battery in her hand. "My last order until I return is Thalia gets them O's! I'll shoot anyone that eats them besides her while I am gone," she barked as she shoved the battery back into the engine and hooked it up. Slamming the hood down she then opened the garage door. The winds were still kicking up something nasty but she didn't care.

Jumping in the cab, she took a minute, she didn't have keys. Fuck it, red neck engineering. If she could weld together a boat and a 4 wheeler to make a snow mobile, she could get a Ford F-150 to start. And she did. The engine roaring to life. Checking the gas gauge she let out a small breath. It was half full. She could scout for a bit on that. Time to get moving. Pulling out of the garage she backed the truck up before throwing it into first. Good thing she knew how to drive a stick. Who the fuck even had sticks these days? Well those days. Alan Jackson Chattahoochee came on the CD player and she grinned a bit as she hit the gas. She liked this song and it was nice to hear music once again. A cloud of dust kicking up under the tires as she sped down the road.

Date: Monday May 23rd, 2017 - (Remember Time Zones)

Funeral Home: Ryan cocked a weird look over towards Riley before shaking his head a bit. "Shit, if it was a problem I wouldn't have offered," he said before glancing at Priya and nodding a bit as she said she was stepping outside. Ryan went back to work as she left finishing up the details of the funeral. What music selections, who wanted to speak. There wasn't going to be a lot of people. He had to cross one name off the list, a kid named Ronnie. Shaking his head he pulled out his check book and wrote out a check for the funeral costs. Handing it over before asking David if they could hang for a few minutes. Have a talk and all. David was understanding and said they could use the weeping room. It was just a little alcove behind a curtain to the right.

"Don't let them out of your sight," he told Cyril about the kids before stepping over and holding the curtain open for Riley. "Come on, figure you have a shit ton of questions and if I remember anything about shit Chloe told me, I know the last place you want to go it to your parents for a cup of coffee." He was ready to answer questions. At least as best he could. He was pretty sure the big one would be was why her lesbian sister had a husband and kids. That was a pretty damn big question.

Outside, oh yeah there were foot prints. They came in from the east side of the yard and exited the south. They faded quickly. There was the smell of smoke in the air and looking over in the direction to the east and to the north, one could see smoke rising above the trees far off in the distance in the woods beyond the cemetery that was across the street from where they were. The sound of fire sirens were growing. It came speeding around the corner and drove past towards where the smoke was coming from. A man standing on the back bumper of the fire truck held on and grinned slightly at Priya as he passed.

The Farm: "Yes I am fucking sure!.... I... Yes Ma'am...No I understand. Yes, I can be there in an hour. Of course," Zoie said on the phone. She had been yelling to start and slowly as she opened her door dropped her voice down to a normal level. Relic came out of his room and crossed his arms over his chest as he watched her. He got the shhh look from his sister and she nodded. "No, I understand. Thank you. Oh really? Must have gotten it wrong, they are new after all and all that happened under their watch. I'd say she was the brains of the operation. Exactly ma'am. Of course. Thank you, I will take care of it," she said before hanging up the phone.

"Everything okay?" Relic asked as she slipped her phone in her back pocket. Zoie looked up and nodded.

"Yeah, think so. Listen, they want me to..."

"Take Marcs body back to Grimm today, all the paper work is taken care of and the body is being transferred straight to the airport. They want to know who killed the couple at the party and you just laid the blame on MSS and the fact Alicia is dead so they must not have a brain enough to operate properly." Zoie looked at her brother slightly slack jawed until he turned his head and she spotted the bud in his ear.

"Twaddle knocker," she growled but he just chuckled. "Right, I gotta leave in ten to head to the air port. You coming?" she asked and he shook his head. "Why?"

"I need to take care of some shit here. I'll see you when you get back," he said before heading down stairs.

Zoie sighed. "Hey Mali, want to come with me to Chicago and then Grimm? Get out of the heat around here for a bit," she half yelled. "Um, I gotta pack, if you wanna come there's a suit case in the closet, leaving in ten. If not, will call you when I get back," she said leaving it open but she really hoped Mali would come. Her brother was leaving her high and dry and she didn't want to be alone to drop off a dead friend.

Queensguard: There was a moment before the text started coming back on the screen.
Then the screen went dark and the system booted back up as if nothing happened. Little Liam rolled over in his play pin and started babbling and blowing raspberries between his lips since he had spit his pacifier out of his mouth.

Texas/Mexico Border: "You listen to me Rogue, you can't die. Your ass absorbs death, so put that out of your head," Roy said as he got up from the desk. Apparently Tim was busy dealing with some wild fire breaking out in the woods and was on the phone trying to get the state departments in to do a water drop. "Yeah, come to Buellers," he said looking out the window and grinning slightly. "Bumblebee will be at the loading zone to pick you up, send me the information," he said before giving her some more words and then hanging up.

Looking down at his phone he noticed he had another message. It was his "partner." He sent her a quick text. "Got caught up, forest fire tying up resources. Got a call, have to go pick up a forensic tech in Chicago. Will be back tonight late. Tim will come get you all in a bit. Have us two rooms at Ramada Inn, leaving room key here at the station." He sent through before grabbing Tim by the collar. "Yours?"

"Yeah.."

"Keys, now," he said and Tim grumbled but he fished them out of his pocket and handed it over. "Thanks."

"DON'T PUT A SCRATCH ON IT!!!!" he yelled as Roy jogged out of the police station. It was a long drive back to Chicago.
