⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

October 31st, 1943 - Listen Little Baby

The small group of non-descript rousties that Sophia was speaking to eyed her for a few minutes. It seemed that the rousties were all men in the area but that really wasn't surprising for that day and age. It was still a time for men to do the heavy lifting. Even if most were either too young or too old to really be there. Granted there were a few females in the group. It was the middle of World War II, so most of the able aged men were over seas. "Um, not sure, guess you could grab that," one of the guys said pointing to a wooden crate that bits of splintered wood and steel in it. It wasn't exceptionally heavy as you couldn't fit too much in it because of all the bends and odd shapes. There was no tetrising this mess. "Just follow us this way," he added pointing to a truck over in the distance.

The woman chuckled at Gilbert, casting a glance over her shoulder now and again. Nodding her head and giving this knowing "uh huh" from time to time. "No, I was right. You have no patience," she said after he finally finished speaking. "Not even enough to ask a name of me or introduce yourself." She gave him a look, one that a mother would give a child when she knew she was right. Chuckling she walked slowly, taking her time and breathing in the air. She seemed to be listening to something and nodding as she walked. "No one said she invited us, you were told we were here looking for her," she eventually corrected Gilbert. She looked at him, giving him that motherly look once again. And she kept walking, nodding to something before she spoke once more. "You were told she would speak this evening but you had another matter on your mind. So yes, you are impatient and rather uppity. Not something I would have expected from you. And damn long winded. Lot of bullshit spouted and not a single question asked. Yer the one spoiling thangs hun. So let's try this again..."

There was a long pause as she stood there and then held her hand out to him with a smile coming to her lips. "Hi, I'm Ruthie, nice to meet ya," she said in a welcoming tone. The smile held there even as she turned her head slightly to speak over her shoulder to nothing. "I'll get to that in a minute so just shut yer tea sipping trap."

The man stopped and glanced around a few times. "Um, Jonesy's his name. He's probably over in Management's trailer right now. He's doing good though man, thanks for checking in," he said as he pulled out a well worn rag and wiped his hands off. They were about as worn as the rag he was using. "Don't be worryin' none, Jonesy's tough and Ben's got the mans back." Hearing a whistle the man jerked his head to the side. The group that Sophia was offering to help was waving him over. He gave a holler to them and a nod to James before running off and helping lift a beam that needed to be moved.

Over in the cooch tent, when Alexandra peeked her head in she would see both Libby and Rita Sue on the stage, the seemed to have a frame between them and were practicing doing mirrored dances off the other to some music playing on a wind up phonograph. "Damn it Libby, you gotta do exactly what I do. It ain't a mirror if you don't do what I do."

"Hard to imagine me looking like you," Libby snapped.

"Well trust me girl, it is," Rita snapped back before both of them turned and looked over at Alexandra. "Well hey there, come on in," she said with a smile and waved the girl over. Libby rolled her eyes a bit.

"Careful she's looking fer a third," Libby seemed to warn as she sat down on the stage and let her feet dangle over the end as she lit up a cigarette.

The older woman looked over at Andromeda as she came over and chuckled. "Hi, I'm Ruthie," she said introducing herself.

Atlas stepped around the helicopter and was heading over towards Maddog when Hunter spoke. The man looked over at the kid slowly and stopped in his tracks. "Kid, shut the fuck up before I shove my trust up your ass," he said frankly before he continued over to Double O who was chuckling a bit as he patted down Hank. Spots picked up the bag that Jack had set down and rummaged through it for a bit before shouldering it and continuing to pat down the rest of that group. She looked over towards Thalia and her group. Seemed the numbers were growing, it was a good thing that Maddoc had called in for Alpha team, they needed the bus right now that was for sure. One by one she patted each of them down, checking their belongings and what they kept on them before moving over to the bus.

At the bus, Spots gave a knock and the door opened. And older woman with platinum blonde hair and dark blue eyes dressed in army khaki pants and a t-shirt came down the steps to look the group over. "The bag is clear for the kid," Spots said as she handed the diaper bag back over to Jack. The woman nodded as Spots headed off to helicopter and then the other side so she could help him deal with the last of the groups that were coming together.

"Morning. You all look like you have been through hell. No worries now. I'm Margarete, code name Daytona and I'll be your driver today. Just climb on up, have a seat and get comfortable in the air conditioning," she said before stepping back into the bus fully and having a seat in the driver seat. She wasn't lying. The air conditioning was blasting and the old bus was nice and cool. She turned slightly and motioned from her seat for people to go ahead and start climbing up.

Tatiana stood there timidly and took a deep breath before looking at the woman and then making the climb on board the bus after Jack and Ash had gotten on first. Walking back to where Jack was she took a seat next to him and leaned against him slightly, curling their baby close to her chest. It was the first time since winter she felt cool enough not to break a sweat. She had to admit, it was a nice feeling.

"Well he'll get clean or else," Maddog said as he patted down Hank, then Erica, then Sportacus, then the kid. Wayne just smirked as he stood there. Erica wasn't lying she had tried to get him clean for ages now it seemed. "Kid, seriously, you are a stones throw from getting shot, just shutting up for five seconds," Maddoc said before motioning for Spots to come over more fully. She nodded and jogged over quickly. "Take the dog," he ordered. "They're all yours Atlas." Spots came over to the dog easily and took a few minutes to let the dog get her scent before slipping a rope around her neck. dog didn't seem to like it but went along and was lead to the back of the last truck and put inside the truck bed before getting tied down so she couldn't jump out.

"Alright, over to the bus, we're leavin'," Atlas said in a gravely voice before leading the remaining over to the bus and pointing inside. Wayne was strolling and grinned a cheeky grin at the woman in the drivers seat. Daytona smiled and waved them on in as Atlas left to climb back into the lead truck.

"We'll hey there, damn, okay find an open seat. I'm Margarete, you can call me Daytona and I'm your driver. It's about an hour drive so get comfortable," she said as they loaded up. Wayne didn't have to be told twice, he was up in that shit fast as a fat kid on a cupcake and grabbed the first open seat he could find. Patting the seat for the J to his mother fucking PB. As the last person entered the bus, she closed the door and honked twice.

Now that everyone was loaded up and ready to go, Maddoc finally made his way back to the helicopter. A voice came in over an entercom in the bus. "A'ight, we are loaded. South to home base. ETA 30 minutes," Maddocs voice chimed in as the helicopter took off. If one looked out of the window they could see Spots in her seat with an orange tabby in her lap seeming to eat up the attention.

The lead truck started to pull out before Daytona threw the bus into gear and drove behind it, the last truck pulling up the rear. Seemed things were taken care of for now. All their gear they had turned over was in the helicopter that was flying off ahead of them. The small convoy was heading south. What awaited them, they didn't know but things were definitely changing. I mean shit, they were in a vehicle, not having to walk, in the A/C. All things considered, this was probably the best five minutes any one of them had had in over a year.

Two Carriages Passing: The Lady Kirkpatrick looked over towards Maeve and smirked a bit. One couldn't really tell if the woman was proud of what Maeve had said or if she was displeased by the womans words and actions. The woman most likely preferred that people didn't know exactly what she was thinking at all times, it would make it simpler in the long run.

Millicent on the other had looked a bit confused but it wasn't clear why. There was just this look on her face that was one of perplexing origin. Yet she didn't bother to say anything as things were settled and the carriage started to pull away from the scene. It was about time as well as far as some were probably concerned. It was a nice break and a bit of peace and quiet right then but the carriage ride was anything but quiet once they reached the cobblestoned road. It would hard to hear anything going on either inside or outside if one was in the other location and it seemed that the Lady Kirkpatrick was keen to use this to her advantage.

"Why in bloody hell are you two traveling with those bumbling buffoons?" she asked flatly as she rested her hands on the top of her cane. It was clear that Millicent was not going to answer that question right then as the woman went deathly white as soon as the question was asked and her eyes lowered sharply to the floor of the carriage. This left William to answer first, if he chose to answer at all.

England

Two Ships Passing: Silvio chuckled a bit and shook his head. "Needn't worry yerself lass. We will resupply when we dock and you leave us. Small bit to look forward too even if we do have to lose you then," he said as he made his way to the stove. "Though if ye haven't eaten much, might wanna be careful what we put in yer belly Lass. Wouldn't want to cause a storm of the bowels," he said before looking over towards Fyror and awaiting an answer from the man.

Regalia looked at the man and quirked a brow. After he finished his very long speech she had to hold a hand up and hold back a chuckle. Taking a breath she leaned forward and started speaking but this time she set any doubt aside whether or not she was fluent in Russian. It seemed she was and spoke the language as if she was born to it. "Я извиняюсь, правда. Я не хочу смеяться, но твой акцент такой густой, а твои слова такими разбитыми, что я едва мог разобрать два слова из того, что ты говорил. Как насчет того, чтобы мы просто разговаривали друг с другом, как если бы вы были в вашем цирке. Это будет намного проще для нас обоих. Теперь давайте попробуем это снова. По-русски." (*Translation PMed)

Carlisle: The man grinned and nodded. "Oh yes, I would indeed but alas, I do have such fetching sleeves it would be a pity to only be able to show one off at a time. Now, a leg. Oh yes, I could sport quite the carved peg and it would be much easier to clean than trousers. Oh yes, fine idea indeed. As long as one didn't lose their head over the matter," he said, chuckling to himself as he kept walking.

At the mention of a brother he looked over towards her slowly. "Dare I ask if he is headed for the Americas? If so, we should turn course now to retrieve the boy, that side of the world is no ones friend currently," he said rather frankly as he stopped in his tracks and faced the woman. "East is safe for now, west is anything but my child. Avoid the setting sun, it brings nothing but darkness and not the welcome kind either."

Titian chuckled a bit. "Gotten injured sounds like an accident, oh poor thing, so many accidents tonight," Titian tried to say with a straight face but failed and let out a rather hearty laugh before shaking it off and waving in front of his face. Walking over to her he took her arm and smiled. "You would never be a substitute, only an upgrade," he said before heading out of the door with her and back into the Joyous Corridor, where it appeared they were anything but alone there as he stopped as she asked others there just what was going on. It seemed they were about as talkative as the man in the Gun Room they had just exited. "Cat got everyone's tongue?" he mused to himself.

Looking down the hallway a bit he spotted the man known as Dr. Swamp and then Tact along with him. He tapped on Professor Walnuts shoulder and motioned towards them as Tact answered Swamp's questions. At least as best he could it seemed. "Well ain't that some shit," Titian said as he blatantly eavesdropped. Looking back over at Professor Walnut. "Wonder how the hell that happened," he added and waited to see which direction the woman would go. Though it was pretty obvious that he wanted to follow and watch whatever shit show was about to unfold. He had been front row center for the last one and it had turned out well.

There was a bit of an odd look from Amaranthine at the dry evening that came from the man standing there but she just nodded in return. Her eyes turned and took a longer more lingering look over the room while she was in there. As far as she knew the ballroom was just the next set of door and she wasn't seeing anyone else walking through, so perhaps she had a few more minutes before she had to worry about getting in there and preparing herself for some sort of last minute concert. It was surely not why she had come to this place tonight. Why the rest were there she didn't know but she did wonder if they were there for the same reason she was and if so, just what caused them to be blackmailed.

Pushing the thought out of her mind and turned towards the doors that were closed at the back of the Starry Salon. Taking a breath she headed for the door and pushed open just one of the double doors, just enough to step though, before closing it behind her once she stepped through. There was a slight gasp from her lips as she stepped forward and took the room in more and more with each step, coming out from under the balcony above and looking up. It was truly a breathtaking sight to see. Turning slowly, the room seemed empty other than a grand piano in the room. That was until she looked up and spotted another man in the room with her, but on the balcony above. "Hello," she said meekly.

O'Hare International Airport: Roy pulled out onto the highway and smirked a bit. "Oh come on now, this car is so me. Total sports man, main stream, in the fast lane, vroom vroom," he said while trying to keep a straight face. He totally failed before busting out laughing as he drove. "I got it from the Sheriff, think he was going through a mid life crisis when he brought it. Who knows but it was faster than the patrol car," he said after a few minutes and then shrugged a bit.

At her other question he sighed and rubbed his face a bit as he kept driving. "I'm not sure. I really don't trust anyone, besides you, so that doesn't help. I want to think I can but I wonder what, if anything, she is hiding from me. Something about the woman doesn't sit right with me. Maybe I am just a misogynistic old fucker but something just rubs me the wrong way," he admitted before letting out a huff. "Who knows, maybe Justice has just left a bad taste in my mouth."

Grimaldi Books: Robert was right, he was going to have to wait for an answer to his question until later. Adelaide was having to deal Caesar right now. She looked over at the man and quirked a brow. This was a bit of a change but it seemed he really didn't get it. "I can give you the number but paying me isn't going to get what you want. I don't do the research, I will help but if you want me to go it fully alone that will be another $20,000 per hour, paid ten hours in advance at a time as a retainer," she explained as she stepped over to the counter and wrote down a series of numbers onto a piece of paper on a post it note.

Ripping it off she slid it over to him. It was the account number and a total. $700,000. It was a huge chunk of change to say the least. She then reached under the counter and pulled out a folder of legal looking papers. "These will need to be filled out and signed in front of two witnesses as well," she added as she slid them over to him. "And you know what. Unless somebody trusts somebody they'll be nothing left on earth excepting fishes." There was a slight pause. "In other words Senor Gonzalez, not trusting kills far more than trusting ever has."

"I'll take a hug when yer mouth ain't full," Claire chuckled as she hopped up on the hood of the car and had a full seat as she kept her eyes on the book store and watched Caesar talk to the woman on the other side of the counter. Granted she couldn't hear what was going on but it was better to watch than to not pay attention. "I figure most people are good people, in one way or another, until pushed too far. Don't think many start out bad, just shit happens and then before you know it, you are doing the wrong thing for the right reason," Claire said as she ran her fingers through her hair and then shrugged a bit. "Seen two guys beat the fuck out of each other, each of them trying to protect the same girl from the other. Both thinking they were right, both kind of were. Both were so fucking wrong but they meant well."

Grimm, Indiana - Ramada Inn: The receptionist nodded towards Riley as she was informed that the girl was heading out. A little wave to the both of them as they passed. Outside the haze remained but thankfully the car rental place was just a hop, skip, and a jump over. Right next store was a little local rent a car place. Inside was an older gentle-man. Riley might have known him as he had a son that attended Grimm High School that was a few years older than Riley. It wasn't that everyone knew everyone in town but there was enough that faces were familiar. So while she might know the man, chances were she didn't know know him. Just one of those passing faces in a crowd. He had a name on his name tag - Bob. Hi Bob!

Bob is going over some paper work and there is no computer on the counter though looking over the counter one can spot one in the next room but it is old. Like Early 1990's old with a wonderful dot matrix printer making that lovely screeching noise as it goes back and forth over the paper that just keeps feeding into it. The man is hunched over and on a second look, he isn't working. He is doing a crossword puzzle. "Osiris before Jesus, twelve letters, beginning with R," he muttered to himself as he chewed on the tip of his pen.

Deeper Than The Sands

Reminders: Same reminders but hey, we all forget shit - If you are changing decks at anytime while we are on the boat - roll in chat before you post. If you roll a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 - drop me a line because your ticket is missing. If you roll a 6 though 20, you have your ticket and can proceed without issue.

Same goes with leaving and returning to your characters room. If you enter your room, drop a roll in chat. 1, 2, or 3 drop me a line before posting. If you roll a 4-20 everything is fine and you can proceed without issue.

Please remember to do this every time you change decks and every time you enter your rooms.

Also remember - If you are Elite you can do to any deck. If you are Secondary you can go anywhere but Elite unless you are on record as working for someone with an Elite ticket. If you are Lower Deck, you can only enter Lower or Main deck.

Man Overboard, Part 3: Oh lord what do I address here. The fact that we have one person over board with another pulling him back in? Or the fact we have another going over board right now. Let's dive in head first shall we? Or more like butt first as that is how this other person hits the water. Who hit the water? Let's rewind a bit. You see, as J.C. is swimming back with Mahendra and giving the man a "sure thing bloke, getting eaten by hippos fucking suck. Or so I am told," speech with a bit of a chuckle others are watching above.

Who all do we have above? Let's see we have Lauren, who has been kind enough to move Vera's things to her quarters. We have Josephine, who has been spending the evening with another and seems to have been enjoying herself. There are others as well and a lot of people have questions. Who fell in, who dove in, who broke in. It is a lot to take in and a lot to answer. The captain seems concerned about the break in's and states that he will look into it as soon as as this is taken care of. Vera seems grateful to Lauren and turns around to say so but here is where things get turned a bit around, and upside down.

Who else is there? Oh yes... the LORD MAJOR! and my god, how do we know this. Because the Corporal let us know as he bellowed it out. When he did, it made the skittish Lady Munn jump and poor Lady Munn, despite people watching out for her, despite people ready to grab her, hit the uber cluzt movement and her bum hit the railing and she fell back and everything kind of went into slow motion as the Lady Of Gracelessness plummeted down to the water and was swallowed up by it. Thanks a lot Corporal!

Thankfully Lady Munn does have a skill that pays right now, the woman does know how to swim. Her soaking wet curls broke the surface as she splashed around, looking this way and that. "Oh fuddle," the woman muttered as she looked around over the surface of the water.
