*whistle* This is quite extensive.

Are you guys still accepting? If so I will get around to reading everything eventually but is there any information that would be critical for character creation?

@Mr Allen J I'm assuming based on the former presence of NEST that this is set in the same universe as your Superpowered Academy RP I was briefly apart of awhile back?
@Prince of Seraphs@BlackPanther Nyx would be in favor of peace, wouldn't he be? *lets herself be hopeful, doubts it will come to pass*

Peace and an alliance are two very different things. Peace Nyx is all in favour of but never an alliance with Fall, not under the current ruler. Not without an ironclad agreement that protects Soring from exploitation.
So would beings that qualify as "Fae," only be those that one could find in irish folklore and celtic mythology(?) or would it be possible to make something custom so long as it fits the themes "Fae," the RP, and is well written (balanced and whatnot)?

@yoshua171 It would need to be found in any folk lore. Not just Celtic or Irish.
LadyRunic

Of course you can take a number of liberties as the information available on certain types of supernatural creatures is rather vague. And it can be pretty much any type of supernatural creature, demons, monsters etc all in the right interpretation can be for our purposes fae.
@LadyRunic As I understand it the process for creating a Seasonborn is largely the same across the four courts but produces vastly different results and abilities. Would it be possible with sufficiently skilled sorcerers for a Spring to create a Fallborn, or Winter to create Summerborn or any combination there of? Perhaps for the purpose of espionage or smuggling?

@SunsetRoses I don't know if you still care or not but in order to extradite Raven from her conversation I temporarily controlled Are. If you have some lines you wish me to change or anything just tell me. If you really don't care anymore feel free to ignore this.

@Zahrale Hey man, your characters were pretty interesting, where did you go?
Announcement for all RPs I participate in: For the next while I cannot guarantee what my updating schedule will be like. I will do my best, but no promises can be made. Last night I found out that I am going to be a father, so naturally I need to make sure I get a ton of shit figured out.

Fair enough. I can understand that. Can we expect a post from you in the near future or should I place Gaige on autopilot for the time being?

@Lmpkio I realize you are combating RL at the moment but if you could at some point soon shoot up a post I would be more than grateful.

We are starting to wane in speed and activity. Hopefully we can escape from this rut before the RP grinds to a halt.
Nyx

The goblin certainly was strange for his kind but that was no guarantee he was useless. Though contrary to what he said Nyx suspected the reason Arys sent him was to be rid of him hopefully for good. Though there was also the possibility of she'd done it to taunt the Archon with how little she valued his Court but Nyx set that aside. Even if he knew it to be true he was not so petty as to take action on ever perceived slight. He would make a poor leader were that the case. No matter if Winter respected him or not Nyx had to show Arys that he held respect for her.

It was among other things why he had chosen Sini for the task. It would show Arys that he was willing to put his most trusted ally into her hands for the sake of continued peace between them. Of course it wasn't the only reason. There were some things Nyx wished Sini to be on the lookout for in Winter but he would inform her of those when they were in private.

He would have to be careful with this goblin. Despite each trait that made him a pathetic creature Nyx could see the sharp mind behind his eyes. He be brave but he was observent. Nyx would have to be cautious of how much he allowed this goblin to know. Though if he was treated as badly in Winter as his low dropping gaze and statue would seem to suggest perhaps there was an opportunity to sway him to a loyalty for Spring. That would have to wait though. First Nyx would see how he reacted to his new environment and by what means he communicated with his mistress. For it was certain that he'd brought some method with which to report the goings on of the Spring Court to Arys.

"I would be lying if I said I'd not expected someone more grand but it is often the unassuming that achieve greater heights for they are both patient and humble." Nyx got up from his seat and addressed the other courtiers. "Tell me friends, a thousand years ago if someone had told you a Mara would one day be your Archon would you have believed it?"

The courtiers stood still. Nyx smiled, an act that made him look kind and playful. "Come now I won't be offended. What would you have said?" A woman raised her hand. She was an old Naiad that oversaw the waters of Spring save for the River Plethegeon. "Nomia?"

"I'd have accused him of imbibing with the bacchanals."

Nyx smiled nonchalantly. "And so would most of you." Nyx turned back to the little goblin Grexx. "Appearance means very little here, only what you can do and when you act. Serve this Court well and it shall treat with with respect." Nyx paused for a moment. "Save for Leaf and Pearl. They do as they please."

Nyx turned to the two guards, common Springborn fae and said. "If you would not mind taking Grexx to the quarters prepared for him I must prepare my knight for her journey." Then he motioned to Sini. "We have matters to discuss and little time in which to do so." He looked back at Grexx. "You are well met here Grexx, pray you serve this Court well. Sini if you please." He motioned for her to follow.

@Prince of Seraphs Hm. Well, firstly, I figured the easiest way to overthrow Feoras as a ruler is by killing him. I'm sure there's other methods, but that's the most straightforward.

A ruler of a court is kept in power only as long as they show the people they are capable of keeping the Court strong. Or if they have a method of enslaving the Court as Ceridwen did. If they show the people weakness to the point where the Court may suffer for it the fae wouldn't hesitate to have them diposed. Not exactly simple and would require masterful manipulation of a number of parties but it could be done.

@BlackPanther The impression I got was that excluding Spring was part of the intention. I'm not clear how allying with Fall, knowing that will eventually include Winter, will be of greater benefit than the cost for alienating Spring, and possibly allowing it to be overthrown, but that's just me. And yup, it seems Feoras is impulsive, because he thought it through after he said it. =P What I meant by guarantee was that a friendship here is assumed to be a close alliance that would not be betrayed, not that he can guarantee Falk will accept.

I'm thinking that an alliance with Fall is nearly as harmful as hostilities against them as it give Falk an in to trick the ruler into making use of your Court's resources as he wants.

@Prince of Seraphs Are we sure? If he was so in love with Arys, then...hm. Well, that's a point about fey, but him being closer to human it seems odd that he's the one that slept around -- and that she was the one so upset by it.

Humans can get sexually bored and seek out new partners in a handful of years or even months. How would a species that lives forever cope better then that? My view has always been that fae have one major partner, the one that they share their possessions and power with and sire heirs with but their is a general understanding that this is not the only fae either of them would be sleeping with as long as some grounds rules were established. Of course some fae especially the younger wouldn't see it like that yet. Hence Arys' anger.

Of course that's only one possibility. Who really knows what happened between them.
