Just laying about?

In some closet somewhere.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Nah. When I say selfishness I mean focus on self, which is why I direct it to pride.

Fair enough.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Don't worry about me.

Awesome. We have spears around here somewhere.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

I didn't say greed?

Perhaps I misinterpreted. I understood "selfishness" as greed.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

Gluttony and wrath can both be traced back to selfishness, which itself can be traced back to pride.

I highly disagree. The Bible even says that greed is a root to all kinds of evil. What is a root? The base, something that doesn't connect downward.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Seven.
Sloth - I don't care what I need to do, I won't do it.
Envy - I want that because they have it.
Pride - I am better than you.
Lust - I want to feel good.
Greed - I want everything. More is always better.
Wrath - I don't like that. I'll get rid of it.
Gluttony - I need more to be satisfied.

There's a reason those seven are considered the top ones.

I know of the seven deadly sins, but they're not supported biblically. The Bible says that Greed, Lust, and Pride are the sources of all evil.

*You emerge on a boat in turbulent seas through the midst of a storm*
I hope you don't get seasick, Vi!
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Also one of the seven, so doesn't count. But it can be argued that greed comes from pride. "I want these things because I deserve them inherently. I deserve everything."

"I want this because it will make me happy. More = better." Lust: "I want to feel pleasure." All evil comes from these three sins.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Oh, true. I can't think of a way to rationalise greed as coming from pride without huge leaps in logic.

Greed, Pride, and Lust, actually.

<Snipped quote by Mammalia>

You're looking at it too deeply. We always fight for peace, everyone, but the reason why we fight instead of taking obvious easier methods is because if what I'm talking about. I'm not saying that one side advocates for peace and one for chaos cosciously or intentionally, but the fact that fighting is what is always resorted to when the need to solve a problem arises suggests an internal inclination toward chaos.

Prism.

omq I just realised that your techi picture is blushing

I think that's just light. The character this pic was ripped from probably wouldn't blush.

<Snipped quote by Legend>

I like it. And it stems from pride, too. A very clever teacher of mine once said that all sins, and even many negative emotions all stem from pride as a source.

I disagree. Greed is also a source that has nothing to do with pride.
