Current Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

Akira Ayumu

Akira had, by grace of the Planet, managed to avoid the Sweepers’ shots with what seemed to be unnatural skill to observers. However, as he made it back to the Fort, he cast a Cure on himself anyway just in case he was injured. In any case, the young man looked at the retreating enemy, then at Jessie and the mercs, asking, “So, we’ve won, right?”

It was important that this was a conclusive victory. If it wasn’t, if the massive casualties weighed more on the mercenaries’ heads than the fact that they had succeeded against impossible odds, then there was a chance they’d leave permanently and that no new ‘muscle’ can be recruited. If that was the case, then the loss of the Fort would have only been postponed.

If the latter was the case, then what he had done was for nothing and his ‘safe refuge’ here would fade away with the next attack, or even before. And that’s not even accounting for where the haywire Sweeper had gone to. Either way, much depended on what Jessie and the mercenaries’ reaction were to his victory - If it was joy, he was safe. If it was fear and defeatism, then he was most definitely not safe and should wait for Kanade to arrive so they can find a safe place in order to plot against Shinra.

Which reminded Akira: Shinra developed the Sweepers in the first place. What hope can a small band of individuals, even with Materia and skills, do against such a behemoth?

Then the boy’s stomach rumbled, and it was clear that he needed to eat. Akira wasn’t immune to the demands of combat and stress, and he asked again, whether there was cheering or despair, “Mind if I go to the cafeteria? I need to eat.”

And so, after one second more of waiting for people’s reactions or absorbing them if they had already happened, Akira Ayumu went to go have a late lunch of meat and porridge. The deaths which had happened did weigh heavily on his mind, and it was going to take all his will to not have nightmares about it in the future. He was no stranger to loss, but right now, this was too much for a fourteen-year old boy to take.

Don’t angst unnecessarily, he thought to himself, but quite frankly, he felt alone in the world and there was considerable proof that he was.
Daniel

Daniel looked at Don Juan before saying, “Medb - I should not call her by her real name in a Singularity - probably goes after hot men and the rare woman, apologies for the stereotyping. So is it possible she’s spending time doing… It?” Then to Charlotte, “Perhaps you can telepathically contact Archer? That might be the easiest course of action - You can also see through her eyes, but I personally won’t recommend it for obvious reasons.”

To be honest, Daniel did not like Medb for her genuinely malicious and sadistic nature, yet at the same time saw the need for her skillset. More to the point, he knew that if he was older, he’d definitely be attracted to the Archer-class Servant despite himself, and that was a bad thing. Either way, he’d wait for a reaction to his suggestion.

Once said reaction was given, Daniel wondered, Where is Autocylus, anyway? Did I genuinely push him away permanently? What if I did? Does that make me a bad Master?

A pause. Why am I asking myself this? There’s room for improvement even if I am a bad master! I just have to regulate myself and do self-control and not act like a protagonist even though that last part is hard. Very hard. Yeah, remind myself that I am not the protagonist - I am not Raphael.

Noticing that Raphael was still there, Daniel decided to further conceal his thoughts, then say, “Either way, we can head for the Rayshift Room and then send telepathic messages to the Servants once the start of the mission approaches.”

Another wait for a reaction ensued as Daniel began trying to evenly breathe and calm himself. His hand wandered to the Planetarium Orb in his belt, before suddenly remembering, “If need be, I can always use Divination to find Medb if we’re strapped for time and she’s not willing to listen to telepathy. Is that a good idea?”

Hopefully it was, but Don Juan’s words had made him second-guess himself, which in turn was because Daniel had been acting like Raphael lately, maybe even worse because he had even less of a sense of self-preservation, being a sixteen-year old who thinks themselves invincible because he was addled by immaturity and puberty. Note: Never reveal that comparison between himself and Raphael.
@The Man Emperor, I like the bio and personality, but I do not trust myself with the powers.
We might be getting a new member!
Daniel

Daniel faced a choice. Take Saber/Don Juan’s advice to heart as soon as possible, or delay out of pride, and thus risk blundering earlier. The answer was obvious as he said, “I understand. Apologies for my previous conduct. Hopefully it’s not too late to mend relations between me and the other Servants.”

A pause, “So… Instead of just threats, I also have to use rewards, as well as find out what you guys want as rewards instead of just assuming things. And also not show favoritism when doing so would impact the performance of the group - Even if I have preferences, I should respect all my servants equally and not reward any of them any more than the others.”

He smiled at Crazy Horse as the latter arrived, but not too overtly. Daniel quite liked the Rider-class Servant but did not want to show favoritism like he had said before. Then back to Don Juan, “But yeah, to answer what you said earlier, my mother and father do love each other to the point where it’s embarrassing. I mean, they did lay it on a bit thick with how the Magus’ Association and the Church are corrupt and how they’d find my existence abhorrent at best, but everyone has flaws and it’s not like they’re not telling the truth...”

Daniel knew his parents were being slightly manipulative, but also that the best manipulations were the ones rooted in fact. Then to Rider, he said, “Adventure is coming - I really cannot wait. Assassin should arrive soon, though, and then we can go.”

As Caster/King Mu arrived, Daniel waved at the old man and said, “Hello! Glad to see you, Your Majesty! With you and Charlotte around, we’re going to be set for success!”
@VoiD, Actually, I've decided that it's unfair to make you wait. You're free to post on the Character and IC Tabs now.

Name: Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus/Constantine
Title: Emperor
Class: Ruler
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Good
Height / Weight: 5’8/197.9 pounds
Source: IRL History
_________________________________________________________________________________________
Personality: Constantine genuinely believes that the faith he brought to the Roman Empire was a net benefit to it and the world, and does not regret his actions, which one might point out, did include banning infanticide and providing aid to parents so that they do not have to sell their children to slavery. Though he regrets the pain and suffering brought by errant members of the faith, as well as rolls his eyes at his Master’s own lack of devotion, Emperor Constantine maintains a strength of belief which others lack, a strength of belief which borders on arrogance.

Bio: Will his IRL life do?

Weapon: Roman Spatha Longsword.
_________________________________________________________________________________________
Parameters: E-! stats usually.
Strength: B
Endurance: C
Agility: B
Mana: C
Luck: B
_________________________________________________________________________________________
Class Skills:

Revelation (C) - As someone who has been given a Revelation from God, especially one which led him to victory, Constantine has an instinct for whichever action would lead him and those under him to an optimal outcome. This instinct has no rational explanation, as it comes at the most unlikely of times, but rejecting the whispers and messages from it can only lead to a damning failure.

Saint (B) - As a Ruler blessed by God who changed the course of history, and is commemorated as a Saint by the largest denomination of Christians, Constantine the Great was seen as a paragon of virtue by many Medieval scholars, and it shows in his Servant form. Constantine gets a rank up to Charisma, raising it to A.

True Name Discernment (European) (B) - Constantine can discern the True Name, Skills and Parameters of a Servant he directly encounters, but this skill is more effective on Servants who are rooted in Christian and Hellenic Pagan legend, meaning that veiling skills and phantasms made by those folk are less effective than those used by Servants rooted in Far Eastern and Mesoamerican Lore (an exception is Shirou Amakusa Tokimune because he is Christian).

Personal Skills:

Baptism Rite - Constantine generates a set of blessed javelins, which launch themselves against an opponent. These javelins, when piercing an opponent, fix them in place as Constantine says a prayer to God for the purification of their soul and the destruction of their body. This prayer, when finished, causes the enemy to erupt in white flames which consume them entirely, leaving only ashes in their wake.

Military Tactics (B) - Constantine is adept at planning the logistics, strategy, and actual tactics of a large number of people, although one should note that his knowledge might be obsolete in many places thanks to developments past his death. Not just that, but this is situational and is best-partnered with his Anti-Army Noble Phantasm, which in turn is also situational.

Charisma (B) - One does not gain the loyalty of the Legions, reunite the Empire, legalize Christianity, declare infanticide a capital crime, and found a new Capital of the Unified Roman Empire without having both charm and talent. One also forgets that historically, Constantine was a tactful convert who kept using Pagan symbols throughout his reign and was only baptized in his deathbed. Either way, Constantine can gain the affection of, and fire up the fighting zeal, of entire armies and populations.

NOBLE PHANTASMS

Fighting Style: Constantine is a decent melee fighter and horseman and often fights with a lance, sword, and shield on top of a summoned steed.

Cynthia, Pablo, and Vane

“Sure!” Cynthia said, “My name is Cynthia, Cynthia Weissberg. I am from Germany but my mother is Filipino. I can create and control fire and water, my own lightning and ice, and I can also make it so that I don’t have to hurt anyone I consider an innocent with my powers with a moment of concentration. I like cats, teddy bears, and soft things as well as sweets, but I also like fighting when it’s a good cause.”

Pablo then added, “My name is Pablo Legazpi. My Noble Arm enables me to ferret out information, including what powers one’s Noble Arm uses. For example, I know your Arm is more powerful than most of Virgil’s group except for Leonora’s - The second female member - And even then you can easily beat her if you’re not pinned down or charging straight at her. As for everything else… I keep a low profile.”

Cynthia glanced at Pablo and said, “You know, you sound just like an edgelord when you say that.”

“Oh,” the young man said with a blink. “Well, I didn’t mean to be one.” A pause, “Well, if you want to know what I like, well, I like sweet things too, as well as coffee and cake. I also have an interest in History and Literature, but it’s sorta waning.”

A smile from Cynthia as she turned to Vane, “So, is that enough small talk for you?” A pause as the classroom door came into sight. “Well, we’re here! Hopefully, we get seats close to each other - You sound like a fun potential sparring partner!”

@Not Fungus

Jeim, then Pablo

By some miracle, Jeim would get to the classroom at the same time as the others, and Pablo would go and get a seat close to the guy once they both entered. He needed to use his Noble Arm’s power on the secret Hammerite and expose the guy’s mentor as an exploitative ass who was only using him as soon as possible. Every second where Jeim was under the spiritual seduction of that man was a second where the Hammer’s ideology would ingrain itself further in Jeim’s brain, making the revelation that it’s essentially against the latter’s better nature and he was being used a more traumatic experience when it finally came.

Another inner Truth: Pablo knew that this was essentially being selfish and that once he used his Truth power, the selfishness of trying to save Jeim instead of, say, Malenkov or even Virgil would hit him hard. The Truth was that he was trying to save Jeim out of… attraction, and that he was putting his own interests above the greater good he claimed to serve. That he wanted Jeim to be ‘redeemed’ when others deserved it as well and that his reasons for wanting to redeem Jeim first were selfish as f**k - Heck, they may even count as stalking, and Pablo was not happy with the potential label of ‘stalker’. At the same time, though, Jeim still needed to know the truth about his mentor - That was true as well.

That secret cannot - should not - be kept away from the other youth.

But where did unselfish motives end and selfish motives begin? Pablo's Truth power will reveal that for himself...
