Current Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

Raven Rivers

Raven was there, having recovered some of his composure. Nevertheless, his first question to Cassandra was, "So, basically, you want us to pay off our rent for using your place with military service? Considering how potential employers today can run the gamut from reliable to dubious, that's for the Colonel to decide."

To be honest, the madness which had possessed the man was still at the back of his head, waiting for another sufficient provocation to return, but Raven knew it; had made his peace with it while preparing to defend himself and his psyhce against the rage. He sighed and said, "That said, you must have great reserves of personal bravery if you come to a merc company who have suffered a lot from the local inhabitants, who have the gall to imprison their civilian contingent in defiance of all laws of decency."

Looking Cassandra in the eye, he continued a little archly, "What can you give us beyond the necessities for survival? What can you do for those imprisoned in Fort Tie Shan? I'm not blind; it's inevitable we'll have to make a local alliance and you seem to be our best bet. But there's a difference between an alliance we're both committed to and an alliance of convinience. What will you do to make it the former instead of the latter?"

Raven had not lost any drop of his sympathy for Espia's people, but as far as he was concerned, it was best to test Cassandra's charisma and ability to express commitment. Looking much younger than his actual age thanks to the best medical tech, he smiled and said, "But again, it's not my decision..."

@AndyC, @Pilatus
@Willy Vereb

Prussia already has significant catholic populations. They're not the majority, but they are there.

Kulturkampf also being a product of Bismarck is:
1) in the future, beyond the scope of the RP, it's like worrying about the Franco-Prussian War right now.
2) a product of Bismarck, who being a Protestant Junker, may or may not exist or have the influence of his class in Prussian society.

Noble Arms Lore Update:

The Spartan Training Programs

As Noble Arms are created through life-changing personal growth in my version of it, various governments have created 'Spartan Training Programs (STPs)' to turn 'trainees' into Arms Masters by forcing personal growth. These are not the same as Arms Master Academies, although there is overlap between them and the STPs, with some establishments having separate 'Normal' and 'Arms Master' classes where those of the former can join the latter when they grow a Noble Arm. Note however that the STPs vary in methods and severity; some of them are mere 'Military Schools with more steps', and others are torture factories where abuse is a constant theme.

Singapore has the largest STP in ASEAN, where parents and orphanages regularly 'volunteer' their children for harsh training, both physical and spiritual, in order to have a chance of an Arms Master in the family. However, although the Singapore STP is not as bad as the ones ran by various authoritarian regimes, it is infamous for having dropouts who later join Anti-Arms Master terrorist groups such as the now-defunct Disablers.
Might have a really vague idea but we'll see how it turns out I guess. Been kind of in a big RPing slump for a while so hopefully I can get this to work, but if I end up not being able to keep up or whatever at least Gundam being what it is makes it easy to write out my character if it comes down to it. XD

Nice! By the way, a teaser:

Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans - Altered Cast

I. Intro

It is the year 323 of the Post Disaster Era, and Humanity is in the grip of tyrants of their own making.

The military organization Gjallarhorn, originally founded to prevent a repeat of the catastrophic Calamity War, has fallen into stagnation and decadence, putting most of civilized space under their iron boot. Nowhere was this boot more felt than on Mars, the Red Planet, where poverty is rampant and the authorities are brutal, with any expression of discontent with how things are silenced with the club and bullet. In the streets of Mars' cities, children are regularly taken and sold as 'Human Debris'; slaves to be implanted with illegal cybernetics and used as cannon fodder by various mercenaries, pirates, and bandits who prey on those who cannot afford Gjallarhorn's taxes for protection.

You are some of those children (or teenagers if you managed to survive), owned by Chryse Guard Security, a private security firm who hires out both adult soldiers and Human Debris as fighters. This company, also called CGS, is not rich enough to afford Mobile Suits, the humanoid machines which make up the main strength of any decent armed group, having to content itself with smaller 'Mobile Workers' which are barely usable for war. However, there are two things that lift you from being ordinary and unremarkable.

One is that you have one of the legendary Gundam Frames, the Gundam Barbatos, in your headquarters. True, it has been repurposed into a power source, and cannot be used for combat yet, but should one repair it and use it as a weapon once more, it would be lethal even to other Mobile Suits.

Another is that the two leaders of the Martian Independence Movement, the 'Children of Revolution', has specifically requested CGS' assistance in escorting them to Earth, where they plan to argue and plead for more rights for the Chryse Region of Mars. Why is that the case? Well, no one knows, but perhaps it is your opportunity to earn your freedom... Or fight for it.

Wait, there are two leaders this time?

II. Lore and AU Elements.

Basically, this is an Alternate Universe of Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, an installment of the Gundam Series set in its own universe. What's so alternate about this? Well, every canon character has been replaced with an OC, including the protagonists, who will be replaced by the players' own characters. Not just that, but enemies, aka Gjallarhorn and various pirates, can also be played with special GM Permission.

Consult the Gundam Wiki for further info (the Post Disaster page is also relevant).

III. Rules

1.) No Godmoding or Powergaming, aka no controlling other players' actions, no defeating your enemy in one shot, and no shrugging of all hits without good-enough armor.
2.) Any consenting relationship between people of the same age group is allowed, whether it's Homosexual or Heterosexual. If you cannot stand such things, don't post here in the first place.
3.) Be polite to others.
4.) You can get Gundams besides the Barbatos later.
5.) You can have Custom Mechs which are not Gundams later.

IV. Character Sheet:

Name: (Don't call yourself 'Zero' or 'The Red Comet'.)
Appearance: (No IRL pictures)
Age: (14 to 16 if a kid; older if you're an adult)
Bio: (Backstory; at least one paragraph of four to five lines each - More is preferred.)
Mundane Skills: (What is your OC good at?)
Personality: (At least one paragraph of three to five lines each - More is preferred.)
Do you have the Alaya-Vijyana System?: (Type 'Y' or 'N'. If Y, you can have up to 3, but if every OC has 3, I will lower the limit to 2.)

@Dinh AaronMkdo you mind reviewing my sheet? If you’re good with the history still, as per the original approval, can you please modify the world map so I don’t have some wanna be “U-S-A! U-S-A!” player diving in there thinking it’s all hunkydorie please?
