I like the concept, but because he is an orphan, please expand the worldview section to include a little more about how his magic works. What does he actually do work magic, how does he prepare himself? How does he think the world works, and what does he think is happening that lets him do this? DM if you need any more detailed advice

@Letter BeeThere will be a discord server, the invite will be sent to the players that are accepted once the RP begins. The amount of combat will depend on how your characters decide to try to solve the problems they encounter. I am trying to make it so that there will always be options that don't involve direct use of force, but the more fights people try to start, the more fights will occur.

Perfect! Prime and Forces also have nonviolent applications, so Deuel isn't entirely useless in such an RP.

Not even Elecmon chose to help Dorumon; that's how much the latter flubbed up, and so Dorumon had to leap back from the jet of water launched at him, which hit the sand beneath where he was standing and caused a spray of sandy water to rain down on every one of the group.

Andrew instinctively grimaced at that, and said, "My Clothes!," before his next thoughts turned to Joel and his new Digimon Partner.

"Joel, are you okay?," he asked, trying to be gentle. "Don't worry, it's my first time fighting too; as that rude guy said, people shouldn't be forcing kids to fight against monsters."

He backhandedly admitted that 'Rude Guy' had a point, and that Dorumon was really very suspicious. He then turned towards Elecmon and said, "All right, I'm in. Now let's protect the other kids and Joel, okay?"

Coelamon was ignoring the scattered attacks on its sides, not helped by the fact that not all the Digimon were attacking. Rude Guy's attempt at a punch didn't work either... except as a distraction; Pulsemon's attack, however, did cause the foe to wince because it came from somewhere so close... It was also a few inches short of hitting its left lower eyelid.

Having a sudden flash of creative insight, Andrew turned to Elecmon and said, "Your strongest attack at its right eye, now!"

"On it!," was the response, and Elecmon's tails crackled with electricity as he said, "Super Thunder Strike!", and bolts of lightning were launched at the enemy Digimon's eye. Direct hit.

It howled in rage, almost deafening the Human members of the party, before shouting, "Elecmon, you traitor! You would gamble everything on such measly fools?! Iron Scale!"

This time, it was targeting Andrew and Joel, launching small scales of sharpened metal from its skin that would pierce holes through a normal human if they hit -

"Metal Cannon!," Dorumon intervened as he shot a metal sphere from his maw that grew in size as it flew, batting aside the bladed iron scales before crashing against Coelamon, staggering the foe back several steps.

Andrew felt it; Dorumon was giving them a chance to win, to strike the final blow... while making it clear that he was holding back, that he was strong enough to take care of this - And them - singlehandedly if he wanted to.

"Now!," the boy felt as though he needed to set an example, "Elecmon, we need your strongest attack again! Joel, you and your Digimon, coordinate with me and Elecmon and hit the same spot Elecmon hits! Everyone else, aim for the eyes!"

One more round, one more round and we can finish this... thanks to Dorumon. Then what?

These whispers relive the memory of seeing those visions corrupted by those who were supposed to work with them for a better future, a revolution that turned into oppression. Reincarnation after reincarnation, winding down to the destruction of the Avatar's previous holder by the Order of Reason as it became the hated Technocracy, and the sharp stab of betrayal when that reincarnation before him found out that it was the one who led the Craftmasons away from the Order of Hermes who ordered the destruction of the organization. Now, Deuel carries that feeling of rage and betrayal as his Avatar makes itself at home among the Traditions that its previous holders fought, using enchanted items and arcane devices that resemble modern technology but are much more... Personal History ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ Deuel's ancestors, the Palaiologoi, were descended from Theodore and Demetrios Palaiologos, the Brothers of Constantine XI, last Emperor of the Byzantine/Eastern Roman Empire. Split into Christian and Muslim Branches, with the former further splitting into Catholic and Orthodox ones, the Palaiologos descendants favored the Order of Hermes, plus factions of the Celestial Chorus; joining the Technocracy was anathema to them - Or was it? Deuel's Uncle was of House Janissary. Deuel's Father, Anastasios, was of House Flambeau and had cooperated closely with House Janissary's operatives out of a sincere belief they were doing the right thing. Deuel, meanwhile, was raised to be a war mage of House Flamebeau, too, and was progressing to Awakening as a True Mage. Then, something happened; he found out some tidbit of the Order of Hermes' history he would normally be too young to know. It was then that he Awakened; the day after that, he made the hardest decision of his life - to transfer to House Verditius-Thig. His skillset was sub-optimal for that house of tinkers and technomancers, but he persevered in seeking admission. Eventually, it was granted. Now, he seeks revenge against the Technocracy for what happened to his Avatar's past Incarnations; the betrayal of a genuinely beautiful dream. Plot Hooks ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ Deuel's Father is still House Flambeau, while his Uncle is still House Janissary (unless it got crushed like in the Metaplot). Maybe they could be plotting something? Deuel's Avatar is of Non-Traditions origins, and his past lives are that of Order of Reason (Craftmasons) members. This could be a source of tension.
