Reluctantly retired roleplayer.

Except when I'm not.

Why are you here when you should be writing posts?

You can edit a bad draft, but you cannot edit a blank page.

Overall I have no complaints about the sheet but I would like to ask that you put some hard limits or examples in his speed, strength and defense. For example how fast can he move, how much punishment can the Alpha Body take? Likewise for the Alpha fist, Alpha impact etc.

Other than that, you're good to post it in the roster.
It'd be a terrible amount of work, but there could be AI players (purposefully bad idea).

Every game, you could assign one player to be a double agent. There could be conditions at the game's start such as broken bones, deafness, blindness, or poison (enforced through the AR suits) to teach students to deal with problems.

Eh, maybe if the game was broken into smaller matches down the road we could throw in some handicaps but I think we'll steer clear of that for the initial sessions.
Wraith's idea has my vote. More dynamic. Think it could be interesting if power balance was purposefully tipped though.

Talking 40 vs 60 instead of 50 50. Fair isn't interesting.

Honestly I don't think there's a true way to make the match fair.

Either way Amethyst is going to do what she wants and the girl is already reckless. Good luck to whoever has her.

And that is why.

@Weird Tales Once I finish my practice test, I'll sit down and review the sheet.
I hope Mars is accepted because he'd love to play a team game

Yeah sorry, just haven't sat down to go through his sheet just yet.
I like it, too. But I still maintain we should be assigned specific targets within that scenario. I think everything will run more smoothly if players know exactly who they should be interfering with. (i.e. a member of the Bomb Squad is paired with a member of the Bomb Armers).

I personally won't be issuing those orders but if the team Captains decide to run it that way all the power to them. Not saying it will stop characters from going off course as I believe there's a number of characters who it would be out of character for to follow the rules.

I'm trying to decide on how S'tann would lead. Surprisingly effective, or he can't lead his way out of a paper bag.

PUT IT TO A VOTE!

In my honest opinion, I believe S'tann would have a sound tactical mind, that said I believe his arrogance overrides this and he would believe himself superior to his teammates thus acting in a way where he tries to take everyone on himself and undervaluing those he's been put in command of. For this reason I think he'd be a poor leader.
@Everyone, after giving it some thought I have developed a new A.R.C. scenario that is still essentially capture the flag but more built for training.

The cast will be still split into two teams. Each of these two teams will be made up of two squads with specific goals. While I will design the two teams to be balanced, it will be up to the team Captains to separate their teams into squads.

The first team will be the Injustice Squad. This team will have the goal of taking a number of unspecified hostages as well as activating several points armed with explosives. Once they have taken the hostages and armed the bombs, their goals will be to keep them out of the hands of the other team. Obviously this team will be split into the hostage takers and bomb armers.

I have yet to figure out what to do about an option to kill the hostage to be honest lol.

The second team will the Justice Squad. Their goals will be to protect the civilians from becoming hostages and remove the bomb sites before they can be activated. In the case of a hostage being taken or a bomb activated, the Justice Squad will be responsible to defuse and dispose of the bomb or retrieve the hostage and escort them to an extraction zone. The two squads obviously are bomb squad and rescue squad.

I'm still fine tuning this idea, but this is what I'm running with at this time.
I assumed we had scrapped the concept of this RP being capable of a group scenario as complex as 'capture the flag' when we struggled to have a quiet conversation in the cafeteria without becoming the singular hub of activity campus-wide. I think something like that is just asking for a big old mess, personally.

Eh that was with a lack of direction or goals. A simulation will have clear cut goals with each team having a leader to issue commands. That said how good the leader is will depend on both the player and character.

What will likely happen is I'm going to have to break the characters into smaller teams and adjust the game style.
My suggestion would be to keep the teams as two teams, but have each team member assigned a (matching) target. This way, our posts will be more manageable, as we can focus primarily on the battle between our character and our assigned target. Of course, some people may cheat (Looking at you, S'tann) by attacking people who aren't their targets, and as a result some nearby do-gooder might come to their defence.

But in general, having one assigned target on the opposite team would make things much more manageable, and it means that people who aren't inclined to read the posts of certain characters needn't read their posts. There would be much less relevant action to take into account, as really you only need to be looking out for activity that might affect your own 1x1 battle. It also means that the smarter pairings might use a collab for the ARC scene, and avoid clogging up the IC with some of the tiny posts that have been posted in group situations so far.

Just my two cents on the matter.

Well that would make a boring game of 'capture the flag'. May as well just designate sparring matches if that was the case.

I feel gypped. Mailsi is gonna take everyone else and make the YJ a thing again. Or the outsiders. She's not choosy.

Honestly it's funny how the 'A-Team' also have the worse attitude and temperaments for the most part. Either that or their minds are naive and blank lol.
More than two teams might complicate things a bit. Idk

Then there's gonna be the matter of balancing those teams.

With capture the flag it could work. I've run a three way game of capture the flag before, mind you two teams were NPCs.
