Efraim is motivated by the desire to do good in the world. Regardless of how he is viewed by people. Yes, many are scared or hate him for being a Hyperhuman. But this will not stop him from doing what he thinks is right. Even if people hate him for it, he knows how the world works. Maybe make a positive difference in the world and show that Hyperhumans can be heroes and be worthy of respect. He knows that is a long way down the road, but someone has to start traveling down, and he wants to be the one that does.

Efraim's goal is to be a policeman like his father or in a role like it. Fighting crime and maybe making a difference. Especially crimes caused by those Hyperhumans who use their powers for evil and make things worse for everyone. Like those in the drug cartels back home that gives his father a big headache. Possibly be apart of some of the task forces his father has thought about to weaken the cartels. A role where he could thrive and be proud to be apart of.

► Though Efraim and his father are on good terms currently. Becoming a vigilante and getting arrested for it. It did cause a strain on their relationship. A strain that had since healed somewhat since then and now that his father had recovered and Efraim keeps in contact with him. 

Efraim has a pet dog, and one way he practiced his powers was by making bones for his dog to chew on. So the household had plenty of bones for his dog. 

Efraim is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Efraim's life was a somewhat different one for a Hyperhuman growing up. The son of a police chief and a university professor. Now his father's focus was mainly on dealing with crimes that were connected to the drug cartels. A plague on the nation that got worse when Hyperhumans decided to join the cartels. Either way, this did not stop his father, and he tried his best to keep crime down.  

Now when Efraim discovered he was a Hyperhuman and his family soon discovered soon after. His parents decided on making it a secret and made Efraim and his older brother not tell anyone. For fear of what could happen to him if people knew. For while Efraim was a Hyperhuman and considered dangerous, his father was a pragmatic man who, unlike others, who would view their child with fear or disdain or a threat to his career. He simply just saw his son, who could be dangerous if nothing was done so, while Efraim was forbidden from using his powers outside the house. His father did encourage him to develop his powers in order to control them better.

For three years, it was like this. Efraim practiced his powers in secret while his family continued on as normal. It was not until an attack on his father by a Hyperhuman criminal and was almost killed. Being placed in critical condition and when Efraim upon hearing the news. He had decided that he had to do something about crime with his father in the hospital. Efraim became a semi-vigilante, and he fought crime his own way.   

Then after he tracked down and confounded the Hyperhuman criminal that almost killed his father. Police swarmed the site during the fight and while Efraim was arrested. The Hyperhuman criminal was ultimately killed by the police. Now a known Hyperhuman and in trouble for being a vigilante. Efraim would have gone to prison if it would not for the actions of his father who had recovered enough to contact H.E.L.P., and a deal was made. In exchange for dropping the charges against him and letting him go, Efraim would be sent to P.R.C.U. and stop being a vigilante. Now he awaits his new life there.

Efraim has the power of being able to manipulate bones. He is able to grow bones from his own skeleton and use them in a variety of ways. One way that he can is by making bone constructs, such as shaping bones to be shields, swords, and other things. Another way is by making bone armor which appears over his skin. Making his punches or kicks harder. One final way he can use his power is by forcing out bones from his hands and launching them to act as projectiles. Efraim can use his power both offensively and defensively. He is able to grow and shape bones in a quick manner to either keep up the pressure on an enemy or protect himself or someone from attacks.

   L I M I T A T I O N S   || PERSONAL BONES, DETACHMENT, SET SHAPE

Efraim can only manipulate his own bones from his skeleton. He was reluctant to try and manipulate other people's bones, but he had to see if he could, and he found he could not. So he has to rely on his own bones for attacks and defense. Also, once a bone detaches from his body, and he is no longer touching it. He can no longer manipulate the bone. Even if he retouches it, it just becomes a static bone that he can not manipulate anymore. Also, once he shapes a bone into a shape, he can not reset it or change it further.

While Efraim can grow and shape bones from his skeleton. He has a limit on how many bones he can grow, and he knows when it is close to his limit when it starts hurting to grow bones. A small pain when he nears his limit, but the more bones he grows, the more it hurts until he can not anymore due to the pain. Making him more likely to hurt himself and his skeleton due to the strain on his skeleton. Also, while he can make bone armor, he is unable for it to cover his whole body. Currently, it only covers his hands, arms, legs, feet, chest, and back. While it can be strong, the bone he uses is just normal bone, so its durability and power are limited to the strength of natural bone.

"My dog Tia of course," Efraim responded jokingly. "Yeah, she does that from time to time. Most of the time, it is nothing, and she is just barking at nothing for some reason." He chuckled, and he took a deep breath. "Most of the time, but sometimes she sees something, and by the time I go where she is and try to stop her from barking. I just see the edge of it, and it is gone. Could it be something or maybe nothing? I am not sure." He crossed his arms, "I am a Hyperhuman and the son of a police chief that does not bow to the cartels or any criminals. So that does paint a target on my back if one of them wanted to send a message to my father." He shook his head and took a long sigh. "Still, so far, it has been nothing, and I am glad for it." Efraim tried to relax a bit, "I know how to defend myself even if people get freaked out about it, and my father is a good shot." He shrugged, "so I guess I will treat it as nothing unless she is really barking or something."

Depends, I was not born yesterday, but at the same time, someone might need my help. It is true that I agreed to stop being a vigilante after getting caught and am now a known Hyperhuman. So that means that this person is either desperate for help and asking a Hyperhuman, or it is some kind of trap." He thinks hard about this, and after a few minutes, he replied. "I think I would still try to help the person regardless, and I can always take off inhibitor if things get tense, but it depends on how bad things are. So yeah, it may be a trap, but I would feel better if I did try to help that person, and again I can take the gloves off if needed." Efraim chucked a bit. I mean, few people know how a bone-encased fist feels, and yeah. That is my answer."

"Armour up, I say," Efraim, half joking. "No, seriously, I am bone armoring it up, and I will be prepared if this intruder comes to my way. Sure, my clothes will have to take a hit, and the teachers may not like that a student is gearing up for a fight. But this place is supposed to be a safe place for Hyperhumans, and now that someone is here, that is not supposed to be here and may cause trouble." Efraim started to look serious and leaned forward in his chair. "I am not going people let get hurt if I can help it. Truly I may not see this intruder, but I will prepare and be ready to defend myself and others if needed." Now leaning back in his chair. "I just hope no one gets hurt or worse and the situation is dealt with fast whether or not I get involved."

Any chance you'd be willing to revert to the original backstory? I really don't like the vigilante angle.
