Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Dat I do. Tis a reoccurring theme with me. And I certainly wouldn’t mind some interaction between us.

Speaking of which if I may receive some summary of recent events so that I may better transition myself, tis most appreciated.
@MadManMoon

Nice to meet ya. While I do intend to ensure my dood has combat application, I’m hoping his main purview is crafting magic objects and the like. A gadget hero sort to speak.
@Spirit

Gratzi, I’m glad he’s good to go. To wander a few of our questions:

Yeah he most likely would be doing Rune inscription based enchanting. As his own spell selection is mainly limited to variant Transmutation Magic’s, he uses enchantment to achieve magic effects he himself can’t preform. For example he could create a sword that teleports to your hand, but he himself doesn’t know any teleportation it summoning magic.

As for their lands I had imagined that this would be the case, and I’m sure you k ow well that in the African continent their lands are rife with warlords and warring factions trying to take over the place. The only thing that differs my specifically brand f orcs and their empire is the fact that they do actually k ow a lot about the humans beyond the north, as the current Emperor is a half-Orc and so is my character. This actually plays a much more important part of their success and purpose in the grand scheme of things, as the empire is effectively taking over the southern continents while being funded/supported by their human allies and to endorse their interest. Basically it’s like the European colonization of Aftican but with a slightly more cordial relationship between a nondescript European nation of the African country they’re going to one day control. This, of course, is a conflict that my character will have to confront at some point in his life.

As for the wealth of the land, ills admt that not all areas are suitable for farming, it that does not mean they’re ill suited for life. They simply have a different sort of wildlife and foodstuff to grow. More importantly however the orcish lands are absolutely _rife_ with materials treasures such as gem stones, precious metals, and the like. One of the reasons that anyone would even bother to ally with the orcs beyond making them hired muscles is to access these rare materials.

It’s a good! Ima make a post tomorrow reflecting what happened, assuming Zel don’t wanna intercede.
Name: Ono
Appearance: "WAAAAARGH HA HA HA!"
Gender: Female
Race: Half-Orc
Age: 20

Personality: Gruff, aggressive, but boisterous enough to make company with like-minded warriors. She has a short fuse that makes her act rashly easily, but at the same time she's also rather easy to befriend should you treat her kindly or if she takes a fancy to you. She prides herself on her simple pleasures: she believes that complicated motivations just muddle your true desires, and endorses that people just admit to their base desires rather than trying to make up complicated aspirations. Never one to take no for an answer one Ono learns about a problem she makes sure to deal with it herself, more so if people talk to her about it. She'd never get involved in something she couldn't handle (And she believes she's capable of much more than she really is). There is one weakness she hides much of the time however, and it's that she is at her very core, a romantic. She hopes that one thing things really could become peaceful, where people like her and humans could get along. She denies this knowing that it would be a long and bloody future before that would ever happen, but deep in the back of her mind she'd want nothing more than to make friends with the ones who try to hurt her.

Abilities: Ono is a warrior through and through. While others would rely on magical trickery to bolster their physical abilities, Ono simply is as strong and tough as they are without any magic beyond being born an half-orc. It does have a bit of a double-edge however, as her own incredible strength and resistances also means that she herself is horribly inept at magecraft. While she can utilize magic items just fine, her own ability to produce mana is abysmal, in exchange she can easily absorb magic attacks or energies directed at her. Her magic absorption is so powerful in fact she could sunder spells with mundane weapons if she had to. Should Ono truly be in some dire situation, she can tap into a primal fury that increases her strength and endurance, at the price of making her loose her higher level thinking and only able to fight instinctively. While she has enough cunning to still be able to be a tricky foe, in this rage her short-sight could be the end of her and anyone who stands in her way would be remorselessly cut down, be it friend, foe, or innocents.

As for personal abilities, Ono is a strong but relatively untrained warrior. While she can ensure that the pointy of a most weapons land into her enemy, her reliance on simple brute strength makes her have to rely on weapons equally strong and brutal. That's not to say that Ono is unskilled; she knows how to effectively utilize her strength for maximum effectiveness without any flowery technique or maneuvers. She strength lies precisely in her simplicity; instead of trying to maneuver around a blade or guard, she simply smashes through it. Ono is also quite durable even without armor, to the point that armor itself is rather meaningless to her aside from fashion. Of course considering some of the foes they face, who are either usually monstrously strong enough to tear through steel plate or use magic that simply bypasses it all together, Ono's durability isn't entirely unusual. Still, she can block blades with her bare forearm if needed.

Lastly, Ono specializes as a mage hunter and speed killer. She lulls her enemies into a false sense of security by using a heavy axe and fighting somewhat sluggishly, using powerful but predictable swings to let them think they can out speed her. But in truth she can match their speed quite easily, as her stats aren't in endurance and strength, but endurance and speed. Once her enemies get close or think they have the upper hand, she'd catch them off guard and either remove their mobility or shut down their magic before going in for the kill.

Equipment:

Ono - It's a bit of a mystery if Ono was named after the axe or the girl. Either way both share the same name. There's nothing particularly unique or magical about the axe aside from it's unusual balance; most would expect the weapon to be very top heavy as befitting for a two-handed axe, but it's oddly weighted in such a way that Ono could easily handle it with one hand, switching between a one-handed or two-handed grip depending on the flow of battle.

Spiked Shield - A simple spiked shield made of darken steel and oak wood. Ono actually made this shield herself and cherishes it. She personally favors the shield as a personal weapon over an axe or blade, quoting it's ability to both protect and attack in the same action. She intends to put a metal plate on it to make it more sturdy, though she enjoys catching her opponent's blades through the shield, disarming them, and then bashing them to death.

Kukri - A weapon that Ono had since she was a little girl. This knife is good for cutting through brush, flesh and bones, and even light chain mail if it came to it. Light enough for agile maneuvers but sturdy enough for brute force chopping, Ono is just as capable of using this knife as she is with any other weapon.

History: There's no real history to Ono; she was born the bastard child of an orc and human. She never learned who was the mother or father, as she was abandoned in the woods shortly after her birth. It was only by a stroke of miracle that she was later found by a witch who had given up her humanity who raised her. The witch was motherly enough, even if she did experiment on the child and never bothered to name her. Ono herself made up her name when she was a young woman. She was fetching wood for her home when she was attacked by some brigands. They seemed hungry and desperate, and Ono slew them with ease. She took the axe from one of them, naming herself after the blade. Ono trained with the axe, started hunting, and eventually left home. She has no great stake in worldly events, and is only somewhat aware of them through their interactions with her. No matter. She would enjoy her life as it was, for better or for worse, and seek honor and glory wherever she may find it.

Other:
Ono is quite a talented lumberjack and woodcarver. She can make some beautiful thing with a log, a knife, and some time. She's also quite a talented drummer.
Anyways... Here's my character.

Something like that. I was actually thinking something akin to the Qunari from Dragon Age (Though admittedly I only have second-hand knowledge of what they're capable of).

Oh, and another thing to note: my character is one of the many sons of an Emperor in these orcish lands. While their nation controls a notable amount of the orcish lands, they don't control all of them and the whole "Traditional" vs "Progressive" faction has so far staunched their growing conquest of the other southern lands.
Cool. I have a few ideas in my head about how this can work out, lemme make ye a CS first and see were all the pieces fall. Right now I have it in my head that my orcs are a cross of two things: The hardcore "traditionalist" who are shaman like with very strong animalistic culture, and the other which is essentially industrial age communist Russia. Like they use magic too, but in the collective advancement of society rather than individualistic aspiration (Of course this is also done with many, many slaves and dead bodies). I wanted my orc to kinda be caught between the worlds of "Traditional and strong, but also very outdated" as well as "Progressive and accepting, but without morals".

Plus this is also something I feel that could be best explored IC rather than OoC where no one may care to know, or in the hands of those who have no reason to know aside from the implication that they're smart and would use the lore as a mere tool to measure their intelligence.
Hue, this looks like fun... A question before I proceed however:

Are half-Orc or full orcs available as a race? If so but if you want to know why such a creature would want to go to a wizard school, I can make up various reasons from “This is my form of rebellion against my family” to “My people just don’t have any issues with magic or others, figured this was a good place to branch out”.

If this is quasi DnD what edition are we sorta based off of? I’m familiar with 5e though I prefer 3.5 or Pathfinder.

And do we have to be wizards or can we be most types of casters? I was thinking something of a Pathfinder (DnD3.75) Half-Orc Skald (Bard-Barian basically) who isn’t so much specializing in any one spell as much as specializing in the act of making magic stuff (I’d assume that would generally fall under Transmutation).
Posted. Sorry it’s so shit. It’s 2 AM. I’m going to bed.
