Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

"MY SWORD!" That was a gift from the elves! Orchid had plenty of reason to kill this dragon claw but this was unforgivable. Orchid turned and chased after the man, even as wounded as he was, taking out one of his javelin from his pack to impale this fetcher through the heart. All the while the orc was yelling obscenities in his native orcish, a tongue in which he is much more fluent, even peppering in some elvish curses that were both flowery and provocative. A lot of it had to do with the horrific things Orchid was going to do to the man's body after he dies, though whether or not Orchid intended to follow through or not was deliberately left uncertain.

@rush99999

Looks good mate.

Alright for real this time. Tomorrow I shall have a post up for this RP. I've been giving every other RP more attention then this one, and for that I'm sorry. But now it's time for some ACION!
I'd like you to use the google sheet since I'm keeping all the character sheets in a separate Gdoc for the sake of organization.
Oh shit I completely forgot about this RP. Yeah we're still accepting. Damn I should make a opening post for us.
@ihinka

While entirely possible, the individual ball bearings are very, very small, not to mention fragile. They're about as big as a squirrel's eye, so at best you have a very light object that will have questionable trajectory and not nearly enough mass do much notable penetration through the force of a sling alone. Now tossing a whole sack of ball bearings, that's potentially more effective simply due the collective concussive force of the bag, though don't expect a shotgun explosion or anything like that.
@ihinka and he appreciates it! That’s why he tossed in that free bag of sling bullets too! They’re much more efficient as ammo the. Just rocks are after all. And what use would a sling be without ammo? May as well be a belt at that point.
@ihinka Yeah basically, though a haversack is smaller, but of course cheaper. Being the shewd merchant he is, Barthen isn’t really ally giving you a deal; 1 GP is exactly how much a smaller bag should cost but he is utilizing your own mistake of thinking a backpack/haversack is the same thing to make it sound like a better deal.
I think I still have a javelin I could hurl at him, or my rarely used hatchet. Not good for throwing but 30 feet won’t be enough for me to reach em, so what the hey
Livia | Katherine

Maeda laced her fingers together, resting her chin on her hand as she looked at the two sisters. Didn't take a seer to know that Livia had a thing against her family, likely a matter of pride, with Katherine either woefully ignorant or purposely in denial. Either way Maeda intended to capitalize on these two young women. She did have to think of something for Katherine to do. She was flirty, like Livia, and Maeda imagined that Katherine was just being a tease. Still if she was honest then Maeda could give her some honest work. Perhaps maybe give the two sisters a task to work on together? Maeda dashed this thought; it would likely be better to make sure they both had two separate tasks. Less of a chance for them to interfere with one another and actually impede important progress.

"Of course you can help Katherine. I have the perfect task for each of you." Maeda reached into her drawer and took out a strange crystal dagger. It looked less like a proper dagger however, more like a crystal shade with a handle. "This is a Soul Bound Dagger, used for magical enchantments. It's a soul gem who's blade has been carefully honed to a sharpen edge to allow it to be used like a dagger, making the process of killing a creature and sealing it's soul to be easier to preform. This is only a common soul gem, but enough to help power the bird. I'll need one of you two lady's to find a suitable creature to slay and absorb their soul into the blade, like an animal. While any animal could suffice, a more powerful creature will ensure that the bird has more power to work with. A bear would give it more energy then a chicken for example, but no need to risk yourself if you don't have to. I'm sure you're resourceful enough to slay a suitable beast to fuel this blade." Maeda doesn't direct this question to either Livia or Kathrine, wanting them to decide amoung themselves who must try and find a suitable soul to fill the gem.

Then Maeda took out a small sheet of paper and wrote a short list, sliding it to the girls to read. "Next I'll need some specific components. First I'll need about a pound of Kafei Seeds, which I know Barthen recently obtained a shipment of. Next I'll need a bundle of Hashish Resin, which I think Barthen might have, but I certainly know that some orcs down by the mines possess, though I doubt they'd be open to selling it. And lastly I need some snake venom. That you can find in Underhaven, a sort of tavern/underground area in the Frontier Town. I believe that there's an entrance to Underhaven at the Drunken Dragon as well as within the Town Hall. The owner of Underhaven should have some in stock. Her name is Lucilia. I will compensate you for any cost if you have buy these things."

Two tasks, both marginally challenging for either women. Go out and hunt a creature who can sufficiently fuel the soul gem, or go shopping around town and meeting the various locals. Ideally both women would choose a separate task to get them both accomplished at a roughly equal time, though it would be easier if they worked together. Somehow Maeda doubts that would happen. "I'll leave it to either one of you to decide which task you'll be doing. I will be preparing for the ritual needed to bind the Stymphalian as a familiar. Any questions?"

Ethan

”My name is Myrn Atisha, the best hunter on the Frontier. So Sips have you running supplies for him huh? Well while I’m glad he’s gotten over the last courier, he needs to be a bit more helpful! Sending you to run supplies so late into the day with nothing but the clothes on your back and a staff, honestly…” Myrn reaches into her pack and hands Ethan three wooden rods and a bundle of sticks. She takes one of the sticks and drags it down the side of the rods, causing a small flame to appear.

”Torches and tindertwigs. Even if there’s still sun out, a torch will keep smaller critters like these bloodhawks away from you. Even mountain lions would give you a wide distance. But don’t use that as an excuse to take your time; once night falls scarier things than wild animals will show up, and they won’t be scared of fire.” Handing these things off to Ethan, Myrn heads back into the village with the hawks on her spear. She waves goodbye to Ethan and she goes. ”I wish I could tag along to help you out, but I need to head back into those woods you came from. Do what you gotta do here, but whatever you do, be safe.”

Darunia

The smaller of the two guards seem to take offense to Darunia’s tongue and took a step forward, but the larger one kept his cool relatively more in control, though he did scowl at the drow. ”Traveled awfully far from home I’m sure. Bet this isn’t the first time you needed to find a town that doesn’t know your face.” The guard said menacingly, having some idea that Darwinian must be exiled or on the run only by virtue of the fact he was a drow.

When the drow revealed the coins the guard remained stoic, but he did address the smaller one while looking at Darunia. ”Go get the next shift.” the young guardsman seemed hesitant but left, leaving the big guy and Darunia alone. Aside them the guards and the drow there was no one here, this would be the perfect opportunity for either one of them to do something, with no one else watching. The big guy seemed almost offended by the idea that he would accept a bribe; unlike most city guards the young men at the militia still had naive ideas of their duties, and the thought of being corrupted by money was too cliche even for the more self-serving guardsmen to fall for. A minute passed as the next shift hasn’t arrived yet, just Darunia and the guard.

Another minute passed and three more guardsmen arrived, roughly if same physique; young men who obviously eat well and work hard. They too noticed the drow and seemed on edge, but the big guard simply turned to his partner, speaking to Darunia before turning away.

”Follow us.” And should the drow follow the two guard, they do indeed lead Darunia to the Drunken Dragon, safe and sound… So long as Darunia was honest. Both the guards watched him expectantly. Otherwise the Drunken Dragon had less drunken patrons than before, most having gone home to sleep while the rest were just chatting and playing cards.

Antaeus

The young man traveled after the tag as quickly as he could, which unfortunately might’ve not been as fast as he’d like due to having to push his way through the brush and bramble that the White Stag had the size and strength to simply jump over. Still he moved much faster then he did before and soon he would find what he was looking for, at long last: the White Stag.

It was larger than any deer he’s ever see; bigger than a bear even. This creature was more than thrice Antaeus’ size. Frankly it might make the young man question how such a massive, silver beast manages to hide so long. However there were two notable things that Antaeus could plainly see. First, there appeared to be some sort of black mantle caught in the antlers of the beast. And second, there was a very angry girl with silver hair grappling the White Stag.

”GIVE ME MY JACKET YOU DUMBASS! DORRRRRIYA!” The Stag was busy trying to buck the girl off but she was holding on tight, but she was certainly in a difficult situation.

Shem'et

Selene was disappointed, but otherwise nether she not her crew bothered Shem’et when she left Underhaven. The vampire was hoping that the Tabaxi was smart enough to understand her intentions but short sighted enough to take the bait and start a fight, but alas cooler heads prevailed. Topside, Barthen was just finished organizing some new hatchets he got from the temple of Torag. He knew that since the mines were going to be closed tomorrow most of the men were going to probably got gather more lumber, and he was certain their axes must be more rusty then their picks.

When Shem’et arrived with a list and mentioned Bookie, the merchant just chuckled. ”My oh my, that guy is just sending all the young folk to me. A list huh? Yeah I can get this for you. Let me see what I have in stock.” Sure enough Barthen would have everything Shem’et needed, even threw in a free bag of sling bullets too. There were twenty of the Iron marbles. Using his abacus Barthen laid out everything to the tabaxi woman. ”Your total comes to forty-five silver (4.5 GP). I’d also cut you a deal and sell you a haversack for just one gold coin too for you to carry all of this in.”

@ihinka

Mamoru listened, but for once, thought about the situation. While she was totally up for some vigilante heroism, frankly she wasn’t physically capable of doing much but being moral support and a walking pair of eyes. That was the practical reason why she would normally refuse. But there was something of a more… Ethical reason. Mamoru didn’t really know Amane very well and his actions were all just sort of a blur to the pinkette during their last brawl; she knew he was pretty brutal to a lot of the others, but to Mamoru that was just business as usual. After all, villains are even more brutal, and they’ll kill you! Granted she also understood that Amane was a big bully and needed to be put in his place, but wasn’t that why Mamoru punched his black hole? Just to show him for all of his fancy powers, there was someone who was willing and capable of destroying him?

This plot sounded like just a petty revenge scheme. However if it was just a light-hearted prank instead of something serious, she’d be down for it. After all at the end of the day they were all on the same side. Sure they compete, and there was a method in the academy to actually expel another student if you can defeat them in challenges, but she felt those were mostly for formality. She couldn’t imagine anyone who’d actually do it! Which gave Mamoru an idea.

”Hue… Well, while I’m willing to play a little prank on Amane, fighting him sounds like a lot of trouble! If he’s doing bad stuff I’d totally be up for it, but you know it’s not heroic to just beat people up because you don’t like them. Especially since I can’t really use either of my arms.” Though to show that she wasn’t entirely useless, Mamoru did summon her shield. Since she couldn’t simply summon it to her hand she summoned it closer to her mouth, grabbing the handle with her teeth before tossing it up so she could catch it with her foot. ”My quirk lets me make this shield! It’s pretty much indestructible and can withstand anything. Or at least I haven’t found anything that could break the shield that didn’t break me in the process. I even used it to destroy a black hole!” Mamoru kicked the shield towards Toru to catch.

”Anyone could use the shield, though I can summon it back to me if I need to take it away. Also, I think I have an idea of how we can totally punk Amane without getting into trouble! We could make him challenge us, and then we beat him! This way we can do whatever we wanna do and be completely without our rights! Wow, that actually sounds kinda villainous. You sure this is a good idea Lysanya?”

Other

In other parts of Komei, as Asahi dueled Tori in their final challenge, the other members of 1B were on the move. Fujino was meeting with some influential students from the General Studies; while Asahi had representative occupied, it was Fujino's duty to address the general studies students themselves. And unlike Asahi who intended to make a big show via openly challenging and recruiting Support Students to his side, Fujino was simply going to pass out flyers and talk to students. Fujino was of course here to promote the Komei Collective to them, which would be even more difficult for her then for Asahi; at least the Support classes were part of the hero business. Fujino would need to somehow appeal to the everyman instead of promoting heroism. Fortunately, she had an idea. She intended to sway their hearts, seeking out not only the influence students, but also those in danger or need of some very needed company and friendship, like any high school youth would.

Which is where Shiki herself comes in. Always enigmatic but also very talkative, unlike her subordinates who would make big speeches and shows about the collective, Shiki was more personal. Some would even say underhanded, but Shiki herself would simply claim that there's no reason to dramatize things. The 1B class Rep would be going to individual members of the Business Reps, many of whom who knew Shiki but had various reasons to distrust her, some more reasonable then others. She'd meet with these members and try to quell these salacious rumors and propose a more beneficial future for both the reps and Shiki herself. Of course, what these benefits were varied from rep to rep; some wanted more personal glory, others wanted the best for others. Shiki promised this and more. And none of them would know that Shiki was biting off more then she could chew... Or was she?

Meanwhile Sakura was actually with a few of her fellow 1B students, mostly just to study. While it wasn't really her job to foster relationships between Shiki's crew and the rest of 1B, Sakura has proven to be the most approachable since she doesn't seem to have as much brazen ambitions as others; she simply wants to become a hero. Also she has really good grades and tutors anyone who asks her. She mostly taught them how to keep better notes, as well as explaining her understanding of the various subjects they've been learning in class. When critiquing she was honest but not harsh, simply pointing out mistakes and trying her best to clear misunderstandings. If her fellow student was having difficulties with a particular problem, she simply suggest moving onto other problems they can solve and figuring out the more difficult ones later.

Gurren was present at Sakura's study session having one of the poorer grades in 1B, mainly due to his own procrastination for work. Unlike the other students, Sakura was much harsher on him much to her own displeasure, being fully aware of his crush on her and seriously hoping he wasn't screwing up his own education for her attention. Quick to doodle in his notes but when he can finally understand the solution to his homework, it has a cascading effect where everything clicks together. At least until he gets stuck again and goes back to doodling.

Doll was at the training rooms honing her golem craft. She wanted to quickly learn how to control her golems more efficiently so she could mold them around her body like living power armor, but she was already having a hard enough time trying to use the various resources around the training area to create golems. She's trying to make bigger golems out of bigger materials; normally it's easier for her to put together golems using a large collection of small objects like sticks, stones, or trash, but right now she was trying to use bigger things that either needed to be broken down or simply used as components of the golem, like vehicles or even the ground itself. Doll was somewhat distracted because she was dwelling on Shiki's plan for the Komei Collective; while she's glad that Shiki has been so open with her, she can't help but question Shiki's methods. It was for the greater good, but how come this entire thing reeks of villainy?

It turned noble concepts upside down and corrupts them. Turning the willingness to rise to the challenge as a motive for going against the status quo, even when that status quo isn't a bad thing at the moment. Making the ideals of teamwork and cooperation into a commercialized entity in the form of the Komei Collective, hoping to use sheer numbers and a diverse arsenal of talent to make up for individual weaknesses. Practically weaponizing the idea of "Defeat means friendship" but having the other members go out and subjugating other classes and students, albeit not always in a violent way, in order to gain more allies. It really made Doll wonder if what they were doing was heroic or villainous. Was it bad because they were using others instead of relying on one's own strength? Was it good because they want everyone who can and is willing to cooperate to be able to come together now, instead of during a dire emergency?

It all came back to Doll herself as she was trying to hone her powers. Before she would make golems and have them do all the work. It kept her out of harms way and she could easily make new golems to replace any that get destroyed. But she thought it'd be more heroic if she learned how to use those golems to help Doll herself fight. She's had plenty of support from her friends, but she knew Shiki and Sakura criticized the idea of endangering herself just to prove a point. Doll wanted to think that she was just trying to be prepared for the worse-case scenario, but she'd be lying if she didn't admit that she just wanted to be able to fight bad guys face-to-face.

And finally there was Hector. He had stopped by his dorm to replace the bandages on his leg; he still had his scar from where a table had nearly ripped his leg off. He dislikes how unbadass his scar is; he generally wears trousers and his scar just looked like a particularly ashy rash. Regardless, it was time for him to do his part for the collective; seek out outside support. While most of the other members were either attending personal business or dealing with other members of Komei to bolster their credibility, Hector had the thankless task of actually securing the resources that Shiki promises and that the collective would need so they weren't reliant on paying out of pocket. Someone's gotta secure fundraiser money, supplies, and get information. And because Hector's influence waned after he threw the 1B class elections, he's pretty much a nobody at school. But that in itself gave Hector a good cover as he left the school and headed to some of the shadier parts of Hosu.

All the while Asahi was smashing apart Tori's drones. He was cocky at first, thinking that he essentially had this challenge in the bag with the scavenger hunt, but he underestimate Tori's own growth. His drones were deceptively fast and more importantly, flexible. Asahi had figured that if he knocked them out of the air that'd be it for the, but not only where they fully capable of running but they were also detachable, meaning that even if he smashed them into pierces that just meant more drones running around. This new development was annoying, but nothing that Asahi couldn't beat. He just needed to focus on his task. Something that the others in the group has been helping him do; Asahi has a lot of energy but a short attention span. When he puts everything into a task he does great, but he's always trying to juggle many things at once, doing mediocre work for so many things instead of his best for something specific.
