Bio
Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.
Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.
<Snipped quote by Lugubrious> @t2wave Oh, oh! I know how we'll do it~, hell, maybe we should start right now? :D I'd be down, I'd be maaaad down.
We'll start by using PMs to RP it out, and then when we're done, we can blend our posts together in a google doc or titanpad or something. It works really well, just ask Caits. <3
Just do it via titanpad. Eliminate that extra step.
ALright everyone The guild Pirate Lord is officially approved. Need to know if anyone would like to join. We also have been approved for the games! We have one other member that isn't Me or Demon and that would be oblivion666.
Name: Pirate Lord
Mark:
Orientation (Good, dark): Neither
Guild Leader: Captain Salem Monroe
Guilder Motto: Through Storm and Fire we forge our path. Get between us and treasure, you'll face our wrath. A life of freedom we wish to see, as we hunt down the demons who cursed us three. Joining us is no wrong choice. We stick together, we share one voice. No enemy to great, no wall to high. We of Pirate Lord crush all obstacles as we take to the sky.
Member count: NPC Crew- 30, PC- 3
Background & History: Pirate Lord was founded by Salem Monroe, Belial Grimmond, and Sara Gallin. The three of them set loose a pair of greater demons that cursed them all. For Sara the curse was the worst it seemed. She was bound to the ship with no form, in other words she became the ship. Her magic, Archive, still functions and it is how she communicates to Salem, Bel, and the rest of the crew when needed. She keeps herself afloat or flying by augmenting the magic power that Salem and Bel feed the ship’s magic core. The augmenting that Sara does creates an energy field around the ship for defense and is part one of how she keeps the ship flying. Part two is Sara uses the air around the ship to push and move it as well keep it up in the air. Bel's magic power is is stored for some propulsion and the rest of it is stored for the magic canons fire power in case it is needed. Sara named her ship self The Devil’s Treasure. The three’s main objective is to hunt down the demon’s and put them back into their cursed chest or to destroy them once and for all. To best do that they hunt down magic treasure and artifacts to aid them, as well as pick up new members of the crew. Some years down the road they became a guild of sorts as more and more people grew to know them they took on more dangerous jobs and even other guilds. This led them around the world chasing their demons along the way, but never catching them just clues that they left behind.
The ship is going to be a large combo between the two.
Nice. If I didn't have about 33 characters at this point I'd consider making one for this guild. I may still do it anyway.
I gotta ask, why did Sauranath burn down the tree to begin with? It wasn't hurting his dragons or aiding in their destruction. Does he just hate light?
From Act's explanation so far, I am led to believe he burned it down because he's too new on the planet to know not to burn it down.
He hasn't been around out of his Star long enough to realize he should care about the world down below, and some of his children will regret what he did, but he can breathe life back into the earth to undo his own carnage. If a bunch of ants are crawling on your baby, you want to get them off, and if necessary, take your baby out of the house.
Did Sauranath mention wanting to get his dragons off the planet?
So...he just said 'hey! Now you can see the monsters and grow crops! Have fun!'
It did the best it could to shore up the problem and keep humanity from being instantly wiped out with what ability and power it could spare before preparing itself for a potential fight against another god.
Everyone's too busy fighting the nightmares to care right now.
Unless Escre just banished the night?
Escre created a sort of aurora borealis (the Empyrean Flow) that helps crops grow at night and illuminates it somewhat, but it is not a perfect remedy, since it lacks the creativity to make a better solution.
