Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Who are we waiting for exactly?

As far as I'm concerned, anything.
Hey @Prince Of Seraphs, we await your arrival at the mission doc. @Lucius Cypher too.

@Princeofhearts, status on post?
@Lugubrious What anime/game/thing is your avatar from? It looks familiar.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure baby!

Waiting.
D'Artgnan's lack of cooperative spirit earned him a disapproving sneer from Clotho. On an unrelated note, she found it amusing that the rabbit referred to her by her sex. Aside from her voice and general silhouette, there existed no immediately visible indications of her femininity. "Is that so?" She frowned at the wolf who'd threatened her. "I must have misjudged your level of skill. Forgive me..."

The arrival of Balothiss provided Clotho an alternative means of assistance, though she did not get her hopes up. He proceeded to ignore her and address D'Artgnan, which seemed to the Swarm Queen massively counterintuitive. If someone needed help, did it make sense to ask an individual with proven power and talent, an affinity for leadership, and a record of triumph, rather than a newly-arrived stranger of diminutive stature and regrettable self-esteem? Clotho buzzed irritably while the two wasted time saying things she already knew, during which the demon continued to rampage. When the rabbit left, Clotho launched into conversation with Balothiss. "Balothiss! Your strength alone should be everything I need to make an entrance in the demon's hide. I can call my Lambent to carry you and drop you upon the foe, allowing your to perform a cleaving strike to tear it open from collarbone to hipbone. Then I can pierce its heart. Would that suffice you?"
I may have to pull out of the RP!

Since my inactivity has been prolonged, even if I do become free soon, I'm pretty sure I'll be holding back my team for longer than necessary. I will continue to read HoB every day (i'm still subscribed to it), but if it is required, please pull my character out.

Sorry for any troubles I brought!

Nothing would please me less. You're already not the most active player, and it's not really held anyone back. Your character is the quiet but effective one, acting decisively in short bursts. It fits well with the level of presence you maintain. Are you really unable to even keep up the infrequent but acceptable level you already have? I would consider that a major sucker-punch to not only me, but the people who thoroughly enjoy your presence.
While waiting for a response to what amounted to challenges, and hoping despite his previous win that a fight wouldn't erupt, Virgil took a quick look around. All eyes lay on him, Minami, Corvus, and Sulley, particularly those of Claus. The red-haired kid sported a look of inordinate criticism, though it didn't keep him from watching intently, no doubt anticipating some sort of action. Unfortunately, Virgil couldn't really blame him, as insufferable as Claus' ego was at times. When around Corvus, one always expected some sort of violent confrontation. Few here had yet to personally encounter his temper and strength for one reason or another.

His partner, meanwhile, seemed eager not just to see a fight, but to leap right in. In fact, Claus seemed to be restraining her for a moment, before she leaned back at least. Virgil's eyes lingered just a second longer than necessary on the girl; the haughtiness that irked him in Claus struck him as more warranted in Lena's case. After all, her weapon form served as a perfect soil to his. While he became a more or less normal shield, little miss badass could morph into a huge chainsaw whose very sight filled Virgil with hype. Of course, he mixed that admiration with disdain, but all in all he knew he wouldn't mind getting to know Lena better.

Both would be disappointed, however, when Corvus backed down to converse with his partner, leaving Virgil and Minami vindicated. Though pleased that he'd come out on top over the school bully again, Virgil said nothing, and merely stepped back to wait against the wall for the group to start moving. Though any mention of a definitive 'start' evidently slipped Death's memory during the mission assignment, Virgil nevertheless suspected that the eight teams should head out into Death City pretty soon. When it came, Corvus' parting shot earning nothing more than a slightly quickening of the breath from Virgil's nose, perhaps the shadow of a snort of laughter. To Sully, though, he whipped up a proper response. ”No worries. Even a jerk has my respect if he gets results. We'll work alongside you best we can, right, Doll?”

His meister partner shot him a look for using that silly nickname again before she offered Corvus a smile, though with less than perfect sincerity. ”Sure thing. We'll wind you two up, point you toward the baddies, and let you go. Can't have a mishap when being a pain is the point, right?”

A moment later, Sulley left, and Dahlia's attention shifted toward the youngest and smallest meister-weapon team among those selected: Joni and Fionn. The latter, in Dahlia's eyes at least, appeared to be very nervous. Struck by pity for the white-haired meister, Dahlia took a few steps over and looked down at the shorter girl with a visage of concern. ”Not getting nervous for the first minute, are we? You wouldn't be picked if Death didn't think you deserved it.
@Lugubrious
Um, I thought Seven Days to Die could only create blasts and beams of heat?

It is: creating a beam of heat from the sun that covers the entire area.
nobody cared who i was till i spewed the memes

I assume that since you've stayed in HOB and contributed so much you have some kind of thing for me managing you, so join my guild Frenzy Plant. My logic is indisputable.
If I read up on it, will I die?

We need none of your dank memes here bruv.
