Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Where's everyone got to all of a sudden?
Filia – Village Brawl

The sight of an immense brute filled Filia with a substantial amount of nope. Spinning on her heels, she schoolgirl began walking resolutely in the opposite direction. Sure, from time to time she enjoyed a brush with danger, but against a even with the power Samson afforded her she knew just be looking at the guy that she couldn't overcomb his raw strength, and would rather knot tangle with him. When he started to run toward the players, Filia jumped, yelping, into the air, and Samson performed an instant hair dash to put some distance between his host and his adversary.

Being able to see Bask clearly, however, caused Samson to see red. ”A mullet!” he roared, tugging on Filia's head as she landed. An arm formed from her hair and extended an accusatory finger toward the overgrown thug. ”Come on, kid! We can take this clown down while everyone else distracts 'im!” Torn between her promise to try and be a hero and every fiber of intelligence in her, Filia stood half-facing the fight, more than a little unsure. Her eyes fell instead on something else—a threat not yet noticed by the other players. Confusion flitted across her face as she beheld the Alca-Noise, and she pointed, saying, “Samson, what about those things? There are a lot of them, and they look like monsters. Nobody else is fighting them. Can't we go after those instead?” After a moment's consideration, Samson relented, and Filia took off running toward the Alca-Noise. When she got in range, Samson took on the form of a large hair-octopus, sending tentacles into the crowd of creatures to ensnare, crush, and throw about.

DIO – Castle Larkmont

@gamegurugg

In reply to Juri, DIO gave a shrug before he summoned the World. The Stand reeled back and delivered a single brutal punch to the castle's reinforced wooden portcullis. Beneath its force the protective barrier splintered, but a few follow-up punches proved necessary to completely open the way. Stepping inside, he sighed in relief, his skin steaming slightly, and told his Korean companion, “That would please me.” He waited for Juri to join him instead, and after a moment, narrowed his eyes at the Overlord. Unbeknownst to the vampire, the metal behemoth had stopped halfway between the bay and the bastion, standing still in the middle of the field like a dumb statue. ”Not dragging your feet, are you, Overlord? The medieval surroundings haven't reverted you into a regular suit of armor, I hope? You're not useful to me inanimate.” He held his arms akimbo and turned back to walk deeper into the castle, leaving Overlord for now.

Ahead, nestled in a large and impressively intricate stone arch, lay a pair of fine wooden doors. DIO guessed that they led to the main hall, where even now the lord of this castle likely resided. Before either he or Juri could reach the doors, however, a large shape fell from overhead. At first glance, it appeared to be a man in armor, but something was off. Given his side and weight, contact with the floor should have crumpled the tiles, much less made a tremendous noise. Yet, this warrior landed softly, massive shield and glowing blade in hand. A red light shone ominously from inside his helmet, and like a spirit the entire figure rose into the air. DIO grinned, marveling at the enemy's gear's quality, and motioned for Juri to address the issue with a tilt of his head. Before them, the Pursuer hovered still, ready to cut down any man who went for the door.
@Lugubrious
Then who has finished? Only one I know was Damien XD

Harry, Damian, Shujin, and now Jacob.

Indigo and Nolan are close and will likely be in as soon as Hatake gets going.
@Caits did you have an average time for the second event to start? I can prep Thor that way if Thor is at turn at least?

@Lugubrious were good? Any more thought or are we dropping it forever ever

I said I was done.

Is the Scavenger hunt over yet? And if so the order in which the players have finished?

Not over.
@GingerBoi123

Also are SE cannon characters other than death and did going to make a cameo in this?

Well, two people have mentioned Black*Star already.
General question! Is anyone at the Dragon Fang Hotel right now?

Nero and Ayame are around it.

Owen Whately – Frenzy Camp

@oblivion666@raijinslayer@caits@liferusher

Standing back, Owen watched the fight, his breath steady as he ran a quick self-examination to see if his interception of Argus' attack lastingly damaged his muscles. In a normal fight, nobody would have time or focus to spare in order to check for wounds, but when cooperating with fellow Frenzy Plant soldiers, someone like Owen could duck out for a moment to make sure he'd be fine, trusting his comrades to cover for him. After finding no damage beyond soreness and a caustic tingling left over from exposure to the demon's potent Crimson God Slayer magic, Owen rejoined the perimeter circle, but withheld his blade for now. When Gabriel decided to talk rather than contribute, Owen called to him. ”Yeah, callin' names will solve this mess right quick! You mighta not heard, but we know the story plenty well. D'you even see what we're dealin' with? If we tried talkin' it out, we'd all be paste by now! This is serious, kid, not whatever squabbles you're used to.”

Behind this declaration came an immediate proof: the roar of the Dragon, even if the soundwave pushed the very air, went totally ignored by everyone present. All focus lay on Argus and Ike, and with greater or lesser degrees of experience the Frenzy Plant soldiers blocked out the useless noise. The next moment, Ike crashed into the ground, and as he beat it in rage his worried guildmates set their collective sights on him. Owen yelled in response to his cries, attempting to reach him, “Ain't nobody stronger alone than with pals! Frenzy Plant is yer strength! We're with ya, but ya gotta calm down!” He watched as the spikes coating Ike's back burst outward, and the circle of soldiers around the combatants grew much larger as each retreated a few steps to avoid excessive acupuncture. Joakim, however, opted to rely on his Deep Freeze Fake as a defense instead, not imagining that a spine would slide right through it and tear a gash through his clothes and hip alike. He fell over backward, his staff unable to support his weight, and gasped in pain. He reached down to freeze the wound and stop it from bleeding. Simultaneously, a spike missed Leixia's head by only a few centimeters, taking off some hair, a bit of her hood, and her left earlobe instead. Blood spattered across her shoulder and cheek, but at the moment her adrenaline rush prevented her from feeling it. Owen, however, noticed that Ike seemed to be faltering, but a spike required him to use his shield to block rather than his mind to capitalize on the situation.

At that moment, Isla's rabbit appeared next to Ike and began to swell, like an insect bursting its pod. Sinew bulged all over its body as it rocketed upward in size, ready to swat Ike down as his traumatic memories of it tortured him. Without Isla to control it, however, the rabbit was nothing more than a dumb beast, and failed to notice the quarter-sized magic circle appearing behind its shoulder. Out of nowhere, a steel rapier blade extended from the circle, pierced the monster's grotesquely muscular arm, and exited out the other side to puncture its torso and ribcage as well. All eyes fell on Owen, who held his rapier up like a conductor's baton. With deadly precision he whipped the blade back and forth, creating a field of magic circles surrounding the monster as it stood transfixed by the initial blade. Each arcane sigil appeared in a silvery blink, letting out a small chiming noise, and in only a few seconds they swarmed around the killer rabbit like wasps. ”Stand back, folks...Million Stab!” He thrust forward with the rapier, and a matching blade thrust from each magic circle at the same time. All at once, the rabbit's body became a grisly and very dead mass of black and red paint, like a piece of meat jammed with a whole box of toothpicks. Feeling triumphant and dangerous, Owen called, ”Last chance for you two to get yer crap together! Fightin' any more will only make it worse for ya!” As much as Owen hated the idea of sending both rebellious members to the witch doctor, he would give the order in three seconds if neither Ike nor Argus stood down.
Oh, and I'm posting next in our little group.
