Current As someone else mentioned, the site seems to be in a bit of a lull - slow. I've been here more than 10 years and slow times like this are pretty far and few between.

@Antarctic Termite - Nak (@CoyoteLovely), Fionn (@Silvan Haven), TC (@LPRKN), Elise, Scarrlet, and Shi (@Lmpkio) are in the same general area. They're all getting ready to go to some ruins to fight undead. Yes, it's the start of the Cult vs. Kindred plot. Nak is talking with Fionn, TC is at the camp, Elise is going to find Fionn (maybe, he talked about skipping ahead), Scarrlet & Shi are going back to TC.

@Noodles - Geez, was sure I replied to this, sorry! Busy busy life. xD So your plan is to leak out plots against the rebels... Sofia will probs tell the rebel leader, get her capture.. and start her down a road of redemption?

@BubblegumQueen - You can reply again! It's just us five right now and Holy Grail is going to be a tad late.
@Lmpkio - Excalibird? lol....
Elise Hartell & Scarlett

"It's rare. That's good, that means this will probably work." She motioned to Scarlett before Shi asked to put her arm up. The redhead followed the directions given to her, letting the bigger sphinx sense her inner magic. After a few moments, Shi seems noticeably surprised, shaking her head and explain she sensed nothing. "Wha- ... really?" she asked, leaning on one of her hips and crossing her arms with a thoughtful expression. "... so that means... either she has a strange aura, or too much magic in her? What does that even mean?"

Without waiting for Shi to explain, Scarlett seemed to take a stab in the dark, shrugging. "Maybe ... it means.. um, whatever I'm made out of, is.. really unusual, somehow? But.. golems aren't unusual, are they? Nor have I heard of one that is particularly powerful or full of magic." Elise just shook her head for a few moments as they both seemed stumped. The pair allowed Shi to interject her own thoughts on the matter regardless.

As the sphinx spoke, Elise took in a deep breath and started to walk away. "I really should find Fionn - this might be important. Um.. you two can stay here if you want, or go by to the camp.. either way, I trust her care to you Shi. Not that she really needs it. Do need to get her a sword though before we reach the ruins," she added, realizing as talented as Scarlett was, that she probably needed to wield something. Unless she surprised them all again and could utilize martial arts. 'At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised.'

Elise blinked as the sphinx trotted over, grabbing Scarlett's practice sword before putting it on the ground, confirming that it wasn't magic. To that Elise just scoffed slightly. "I shook my head.. I knew they weren't magic.." She walked up to the redhead and Shi, grabbing Scarlett's chin in her hand, turning her face over a little before letting go. "In either case, it's just a minor cut." She paused, looking to the sphinx with a puzzled look, then bending down to pick the blade up and handing it back to her training partner. "I'll be honest - I don't know of any creature that bleeds blue. Outside of some spiders, maybe.. but, uh.. I don't think you're part spider," she smirked ever-so-slightly.

Scarlett just stared at the blue stain on her hand for a few moments before looking to Elise, then up to Shi. "I'm.. not really sure what to say.. or think.." Lowering her hand slowly, grabbing the offered wooden sword as she seemed to ponder the revelation for a few moments. "Unless.. I'm.. something - like a magical being? A golem?" In truth, Scarlett could think of nothing else that would explain the present of the strange pigmented blood. Taking in a deep breath, she looked to Elise, noting the sweat still beading off of the woman's forehead while she hardly felt tired - in fact, she felt like she hadn't lost any energy at all. "... that would explain the whole.. not having to eat.. and sleep thing.." she muttered softly in thought.

"Yeah, it would," Elise admitted before reaching for Scarlett's wooden sword, deciding it was time to stop. Scarlett had made amazing progress as it was, in only an hour's time. Enough that Elise felt confident in letting her loose against the undead, even skeletons. Walking only a couple feet away as she hooked the practice blades back on her back, she turned to Shi all of a sudden, realization painted across her face. "Wait - you can sense magic in objects? Can you do that with living creatures too? Maybe if we knew how much magic was in her, we could better understand what she is." The redhead frowned softly at the reaction of her companion, moving a hand to rub her arm self-consciously. Elise knew her well enough however, in the few months they had spent together. ".. not that she's a thing mind you. Even if it turns out you're a golem, you're as much of a person as I am." She reassured the girl with a resounding confidence that seemed to ease Scarlett's mind, forcing a slight smile across her face.
@Lmpkio - Though it was Scarlett that originally wondered if the swords are magic... but just a minor mistake. =3 That's why I color the dialogue. ^-^
@Lmpkio ... without spoilers of why, yes, she does.
@Fairess I am not worthy, lol... that was one amazing post!
@Lmpkio - I don't think so. Nak & Fionn are heading a different direction from what I know.

"Yes, I'm.. pretty sure.." she responded to Elise, stepping back for a moment, not complaining about the small breather as Elise regarded the sphinx for a moment.

"What?" she first responded to Shi. "You.. want to help us?" she questioned with some measure of surprise. "... guess Scarlett was right.. I mean.. if you wouldn't mind. There is no real telling what he might find down in the ruins." She paused, before pursing her lips and smirking ever so slightly. "Though careful with your words.. Scarlett is prone to flattery.." She smiled at the redhead teasingly, apparently showing some measure of being more comfortable with the creature.

Scarlett could only roll her eyes slightly, though her body language suggested the slightest measure of shyness, indicating that Elise knew her apparent pupil rather well - they had been traveling a couple months, after all. "Let's just continue?" she suggested, gesturing to Elise's wooden blade. Despite the light-hearted feeling that surrounded the trio, the woman seemed determined to learn.

"Hah.. very well. I suspect that perhaps you may have been a warrior before that memory loss of yours.. that or you read and learn movements like you breath air.. either way, let us test it!" Elise seemed in her element when fighting, unlike before, even relaxing more and finding a flow of sorts as she lunged at the other woman. Swinging and spinning, Scarlett seemed to parry most of the blows, taking only a couple hits here or there - surprisingly she didn't yelp or wince, but instead pushed herself past the pain like a true warrior or at least someone who was serious about learning. Before long, Scarlett started to fight back, little by little, as if picking up techniques and moves as the two just battled. It even got to the point where it forced Elise to try just a bit harder.

Then Elise spun and hit Scarlett square in the face, across the lips. She groaned and held her mouth as both paused, Elise smiling as she enjoyed the duel, though breathing more heavily than her companion. "Damn.." was all she could say for a few moments before realizing that not only was Scarlett bleeding, but the blood was.. blue? It made the warrior sober up a little more as the redhead wiped the blood from her lips and looked at her hand, also a bit puzzled.

".. are these wooden swords.. magic?" she asked, holding the back of her hand up for Elise to see the blue smear more closely. Elise could only shake her head, her brows furrowing softly at the sight. She couldn't think of a single creature that bled the color blue.
