Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Hi huggles
tomorrow we find out if i truly will survive the year

Huh? why wouldn't you?
Heloise followed the others out, and she detered to her normal behaviour, falling silent, she stayed close to the others, making herself appear smaller then she was, she had already put her hair up into pig tails, and was wearing clothes that didn't show off her body, hopefully making herself appear younger then she was, and thus less threatening. Heloise liked to be underestimated-it was alweays so much more enjoyable to see people suddenly realise that she was a danger.

She listened to was being said, and smiled sligtly, Ah, well, we don't really do quite now, do we?By herself, heloise was a master of silent maneuvering. In a group, there was often extenuaiting circumstances.

She shifted, and said softly "Just tell me where I need to be, I'll do whatever" She hadn't been to the gardens in what was probably months, if not close to a year, but it was still...hers. She'd do what she needed to, and that was that.
"Then you don't have to" Bruce said simply, "We aren't goign to pressure you to choose a side, but it is recommended that you try your skills, it is an excellent training opportunirty, but again, we won't force you. There are other ways, other skills. Intelligence, for one thing. If that is all..." Bruce glanced about to see if there would be any other questions.

Phoebe counted it as a win, that this had gone on ahead. Smiling to herself, Phoebe quickling found Katherin, knowing that her friend had a little trouble believing in herself, Phoebe said to her "We could team up together, if you'd like. We've always done well together"
I'm only onto the fourth island...I think....the one with Ditto XD
Misty

@Themerlinhawk@BlackPanther

A mage? Misty was a little perplexed at that, and that someone had genuinely taken an interest in her, and sought to...was it see? See what she could be. It threw her off balance once more. She could be a mage? She could use magic without her harp? The thought of not having to rely on the harp, on Shakuntala, was oddly...reassuring and saddening. She loved the harp, but...she thought it might be amazing to be able to do magic without it. Why didn't they teach them that some people could do that? Or was that for more advance classes? She took the paper Lazarus offered her, glancing down at it curiously, she folded it up carefully and put it away. She'd look into enrolling in them, later.

She listened as Lazarus spoke, but she glanced away from him. Part of her felt like she'd just disappoint herself, and him, if she tried any of the harder classes, and that was a fear she had. Part of it was also the fact that the academy was...secure. A safety blanket for her. Yet could she ignore the advice, the offered help? She sighed to herself, but nodded. "I'll try, thank you" She said, softly, although she wasn't too sure she could get ninety in two classes. She worked hard, and she really did try to get good grades.

And now it just seemed there was slightly more pressure on her, to do well by Lazaus for the advice he was offering her, and...the fact that he seemed she could do it. She'd always tried her best, but there had never really been anyone to encourage her. She didn't want to fail, because it would just be so much worse now. And there she went, pouring self-doubt onto herself. She took a moment, and shifted, sitting up straighter, she glanced to Lazarus. "I will try. Be sure to have a seat for me, in your classes then"

She shifted to rise, watching Baracheil with what seemed to be another student, frowning a moment, wondering if that was to be her training with the angel. It didn't even seem to be anything, but a childs game of trying to sneak up on someone. The quick movements, the almost deadly percision the angel showed was impressive, but Misty knew she'd never have anything close to that level of skill. She would just be happy learning how to defend herself, and not be a burden on anyone she would team up with. She stood, and shifted the harp into a good position, comfortable.

She looked to Lazarus, and shook her head, "No, thank you for everything...I'll go see what I can do" She checked she had her things, before starting out the room, her mind heavy with the thoughts the interaction had brought her, she stopped after walking down the hall a minute, wondering what she should do right then. She wavered a moment, before starting off again, in the direction of the school's offices, to see about enrolling in the classes Lazarus had mentioned.
Callie gave a soft laugh, "Ah, but a figment of my imagination would say that, wouldn't they?" She smiled, and there wasn't really anything that could convince her to get up right them, warm and happy. It was quite endearing, the sleepiness in his voice, and he was quite a lure in himself. She nestled close, even as he pulled her to him.

"I always wake early" She said, "When the sun is up, I'm up. Besides I can think of a few reasons why being up early is a good thing" she said, with amusement and shifting just slightly again, she kissed him for a moment, before pulling away, "Well, that and herbs are best to pick in the morning"

Still, there was a lot more of a lure here, then to going out an picking herbs...a little time couldn't hurt, right?
@Kyrisse
Cody knew he shouldn't have been out there, shouldn't have approached the woman. He shook his head and sighed at her question, shifting, he was ready to act at a moments notice. The sound of creaking, of wood moving, caused him to react in the blink of an eye, flashing a shield of light around himself, he wasn't foolish enough to leave the hatch vulnerable, as he flew light over that as well, protecting it from the woman. He threw light towards where the woman had been, his gaze roaming over the land, watching her light fade.

He gave a soft, weary sigh, wondering how long the woman would be gone for, and how long he'd have to be on guard. Heading back down the hatch, Cody reinforced the room with light, laying walls of light along the walls, the roof, so that if the woman did what she had just done-and wasn't that interesting, an agent with powers? He'd have to ask Caits about that.

Perhaps she had only just developed them, and that caused a whole lot of other questions to pop up. Could powers just spontaneously develop? How did that happen? Cody couldn't remember a time when he didn't have powers. And yet, it seemed that Gerswhins had only developed so strongly under the strain of their captivitiy. Frowning over that, Cody sat down by the women, watching the door, and trying to figure out such questions.
