"(Don't) Call Me Crazy" by Kelly Jensen should be required reading. Seriously.

Man! I've only watched like 1/3rd of it so far, and 'Interstate 60' is such a good movie! I'm watchin' it on Kanopy (CDN 🍁 streaming service via library card #). It's probably elsewhere, too.

The comic book world is such a rich sandbox! Perhaps none richer than the X-Men -mutations to mix, slice-of-life elements to turn into anything but ordinary -the lines are drawn but the colours exceed them ~care to embark on the eXploration with me?

Really into 'The Rookie'.
It's a clever take on the police procedural. It does unique things like some of the scenes are shot as though through the officers' body cams or dash cams. The teaser at the start of every episode tends to have the best of randomness in what the officers are dealing with.

The characters are well done. It's the first show I've watched I think, where a character who at first seemed like a jerk and least favourite, I turned my opinion around of him as the show let us get to know him, and now he's one of my favourites.

Also getting through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Roughly 2 and a half seasons to go. I had tuned into it when it first aired, but kept getting interrupted when it was on and I fell out of tuning in. Then just last year, after watching all the MCU movies on Disney+, but other Marvel and some D.C. fare, we checked out S.H.I.E.L.D. and were binging until we paused for the holidays.

That show is slick! I think the Framework plot was the most so (so far).

Oh, and also into 'Pretty Hard Cases', it's a procedural dramedy about two female cops - they're just great. Appealing soundtrack across the episodes, too. That one's a Canadian production, so if you're American you probably wouldn't have heard of it as to my knowledge it doesn't play on your stations. It kind of busts some norms, like stereotypes and stuff. For instance in the first season, there was a white lady who was into criminal activity. She had a biracial son, and it was the black grandmother who was the stable force in the boy's life. And when the cops went to bust some drug manufactuers, the majority of them were white. The comedy lands most of the time.

I've also been going through X-Men animated series, like the original. Found the Anime on Netflix just in time (it's not on there, now), and I lucked out just the other night finding an excellent site that has all the episodes of X-Men Evolution in proper quality!
If you've ever had a wonder about a fictional world, be it Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Trek, the MCU or something less major, here is the place where you can share it - it could get responded to/discussed, or ignored. Either is acceptable. The point is you just get it out of your head (and put it into everyone else's! Ha ha).

For example, I've got an X-MEN wonder:

How does laundry get done in the X Mansion?
Is it like a college situation for highschool/middle schoolers: the students do their own laundry in a shared laundry room?
Does Professor Xavier employ staff for this purpose?
Do the staff cover the students' laundry but the adults do their own?

For that matter, who makes the food?

Thanks!
Moved.

I've updated the interest check: I didn't realize how god awful it was until I reread it! Hopefully this one is better.

Ha ha! That's been me with mine for the past few days.
And my most recent foray into further streamline and clarity sounded better in my head...it might now be only more lacking.

'K - I fixed the formatting, and reworded her power section, also including that if it's been a while since the time she witnessed a power, she requires more concentration to manifest it; not even able to on-the-spot if it's a distant memory.

For now, while keeping in of course that she must wait an amount of time before switching powers, I've removed mention of specifically what amount that is since we didn't agree on one. Maybe that could work as a dice roll thing, too? Maybe it's a random amount of time (but OfAll gets a feeling when she can again).
@BlueSky44

Oh - my mistake (RE: the stuff not under the hider).

And yeah that makes perfect sense - exactly the kind of scenarios (unfair/too easy) I'm wanting to avoid.

So regarding that, I did write she can manifest "any power that she knows of" - I meant it that way like your example: she has to know those powers exist in some other mutant already (there has to be a known precedent) before she can manifest them. My present thinking is she doesn't have to know them personally. Like if her sister said "you know, there's a kid in my class who can turn one material into another", that would be enough for OfAll to do the power, too (possibly after getting some further detail). Though I could change it to where she needs personal experience with the power (i.e. direct witnessing, not even through TV), which would limit.

Timeframe between could also, as mentioned, be more stretched out, like every few or several hours. Assuming most battles don't take that long, she'd likely be working with max 2 powers per battle.

Or how about these alternatives:
1. She can deplete her current power thereby being power*less* until the timeframe elapses where she can switch/reset. And depletion point would be power based. i.e. maybe she can telekinetically move books around for ages, but only telekinetically lift two trucks and then nothing more even if that's only a couple minutes into her power selection; still has to wait 'til she can swap in another power.
2. Her powers are restricted to base levels, or like a video game; depends how much she's used that particular kind throughout her life. Like, Restriction Example: Professor X can effortlessly throw his thoughts into (at least) every mind in the Mansion at once. OfAll, say, could only throw her thoughts into the minds of those in her visual vicinity no matter how many times she's manifested psychic powers. Or Video Game Example: perhaps she's only tried optic blasts a couple times, so they're little more than the power of Cyclops' on low. But maybe she's tried ice powers more regularly, and can icify her whole arm by now.

In any case :) I can't do any edits until the weekend.

For your consideration - thanks for the invite.
