I am still on RPG, so do feel free to message me. Just don't have the time or energy to actually join any RP's right now. Focusing on a LOT of other projects, including getting into Audio Drama.

Always down for Star Trek.
Katty and Grunk had rolled into town on the way to Charlotte, they had been in a small general store, Katty trying to agree to a price on the Cigarettes when the whipping sound of Rotorblades filled the air. She rushed outside to see the Vertibirds just touching down outside of the town. "Sssshit!" she hissed. "Grunk, we've gotta get out of here." she called to him.

"Alright Nigel!" he replied. Katty ran back to the merchant.

"Tell you what. I'll trade all of this crap for some bullets." she said, slamming her palms down on the table. He reached under the counter and pulled out 2 boxes of 10mm ammo and a box of 5mm. He stared at her with a look of nonchalance, he had no beef with the Enclave, so they had no reason to hurt him. "Fine..." she grabbed the boxes of ammo and pulled out her Pistol. Grunk grabbed his ammo as well and they rushed outside to see it flying overhead and come in for a landing. She rushed to the front gate and turned to Grunk "Stay here until you hear shooting. Then come out, guns blazing." she said to him. He scratched his head, then nodded. She then rushed out of the gate and ducked behind a dune, just in time to see the Bird touch down and the men pile out. "Power Armour... Shit..." She holstered the pistol and discreetly pulled the rifle from her back, resting the barrel on the ground, she looked down the ironsight and stared at the Enclave "Too many to take..." she mumbled to herself, then realized that if they moved away, she could get down there, get to the cockpit and she'd have more than enough firepower to deal with the soldiers. She then noticed someone roll underneath the machine. "Whathefuu- Don't you dare." she snarled under her breath. Someone shouted loudly to the soldiers and she jumped, accidentally pulling the trigger and firing a shot into one of the Power Armoured brutes at the front. "SHIT!" she yelled as the front gate burst open and a rather gleeful Supermutant with a Minigun burst forth and began hailing the Enclave soldiers with bullets.

"I HEARD SHOOTING!!!" he roared.
Well, I guess I know where I'm going then. Because it isn't for that game :P

LIVE, THREAD!!! LIVE!!!!
(To be read in the voice of J.K. Simmons)
"Well, how're yall doin' out there? This is Jimmany Christmas from Carolina Panther Radio. I know you all like how that hack from DC has managed to get his signal all the way down here, but trust me, he doesn't know what's going on down here. Well, Today, the Enclave have stepped up their patrols and have been taking buildings left right and center. But trust me, Mr Gallows of the Panther Empire has assured everyone that the Enclave will never gain access to the Bank of America fortress. Power Armoured thugs are no match for the Gladiators of the Empire... Plus, we have a LOT of Missile Launchers, try to get past that, hahaha, you're funeral. You know what, I dare you. Those helmets are kinda cool and I could use one on my desk. Alright, time for a song, Ol' Blue Eyes may have been dead for almost 300 years, but he still brings a tear to the eyes of many. If I had things my way, we'd all be sipping Nuka Cola's on a beach with not a Mirelurk in sight... But, looks like Frankie's gonna have it his."

The three walked along the dusty road towards New Charlotte, Katty, Fluffy and Grunk. Grunk held Fluffy in his arms and stroked his head, the rat squeaked. But, suddenly rolled and writhed until he wriggled out of the large green arms. It then sniffed the ground, before running towards a ruined gas-station. "Nigel, Fluffy smells something!" Grunk called to Katty, the two followed after him and pushed into the station. All that was there was a few Radroaches and a load of empty bottles, as well as a streak of blood along the floor. Fluffy sat, eating a dead Radroach, Katty approached him and stroked his head "Good boy." she said, then drew her pistol and shot another Radroach. She then walked over to the ruined cash register and opened it. A few rolls of pre-war money. Not much, but some traders collected them. She then looked behind her at the shelf and saw a few packets of cigarettes. Another luxury that would sell well. She pocketted them.

"Found anything, Grunk?" she called. There was a familiar pop and hiss that indicated that Grunk had found a Nuka Cola. "How many?"

"1... 2... umm..."

"3, sweety." she replied. "Remember numbers." She sighed, she knew that his impaired mental abilities were thanks to her experiments on him, but she was determined to stop him from going feral, like the yellow ones up north, or those of the Master from back on the East Coast that she had heard of.

"3... 4... 5... 5, there's 5." he called. She followed the blood trail from the entrance to the corpse of the man that Grunk was scavanging off of.

"Poor bastard." she mumbled. "He's not been here too long, Rigger has set in, but he's not decomposing... But the Roaches have started eating him..." She grabbed a bottle of Nuka-Cola and held it to her head. "Warm..." she grumbled, before opening it and taking a few sips. She then snapped her fingers so that Fluffy would come to her, she scratched him behind the ear "Good boy." she then opened another bottle and put the opening in his mouth, pouring it down his throat, he drank all he could, but with a lack of lips, unfortunately, most of it went all over the floor. He still seemed to purr with delight, though. "Alright, let's get going. Whoever killed this guy could be close."

"Alright, Nigel." replied Grunk, as they went outside. Katty looked at the gas pumps and then grabbed a rusted canister that lent against the wall before walking to the pump and putting the nozzel into the canister. She pulled the trigger, but nothing happened.

"Well..." she said, looking up at Grunk "It was worth a try. I can only imagine how much actual coolant fluid would have gone for at market." She got up and stretched, before the continued to walk down the road.
Jump City:

Jump was now almost a ghost town, thanks to the combination of constant villain attacks, the disbanding of the Titans, and the fact that, with all of the heroes gone, villains were almost running unopposed... Almost... A large Lexcorp loader-bot stomped down the street with a gang of mutants hanging off of it. The gang had modified the robot with a grenade launcher. "WOOHOO!!! SHOOT THAT ONE!!!" yelled one of the mutants, the robot stopped and pointed it's Grenade Launcher at a car before firing and engulfing the car in a fiery explosion. "BOOYA!!!!" they cheered. However, the celebrations were cut short as one of the mutants on top were grappled by a glowing rope and pulled off into the darkness of the night. The robot turned around and pointed the Grenade launcher into the alleyway that their ally had been dragged. At that point, the rope came again and yanked away another of the mutants from the hull of the robot.

"WHAT THE FUCK'S GOIN' ON!?!?!?" yelled one.

"Me..." replied a black voice as a shadow appeared behind the leader of the gang, who was stood at the very top of robot, a legsweep sent him felling to the hard pavement bellow. He toop out his gun and fired at the shadow, but it was too late as the shadow disappeared. He stood motionless looking around.

"Where'd that fuck go?" he asked. The robot looked around, a high powered headlight on the front of it scanning for her. Had they remained perfectly still, then the sounds of the gyro's that allowed the robot to move wouldn't have drowned out the sound of a faint hissing. Something dropped down from under the robot and darted with almost superhuman speed towards the gang leader, roundhouse kicking him in the face, hard, then placing a firm boot on his chest and forcing him to the ground. The robot turned around to point it's headlights at the shadow. A woman stood in a black costume and holding a detonator. pressing the button, there was an explosion that ripped the torso from the legs and it fell over. The pilor tried to climb out, but the moment the hatch opened, he found a solid baterang smacking into his forehead, sending his head back against the hard metal and putting him down for the count. The woman then leaned down to the gang leader.

"Do yourself a favour, stay in Gotham, you will find Batman far more forgiving than ME!" as she said the last word, her boot moved up to his face and she began grinding it into the pavement. Suddenly, a camera feed from the Invisible Jet came up on her H.U.D. showing an appartment building across town to be on fire. She ground her boot into his face again "Clean up this mess by the time I get back, because, trust me, if you don't, then i'm going to make you wish that I killed people." she grunted, before walking away and pressing a button on her gauntlet. A minute later, the air was filled with the roar of an engine, but nothing to see. She then grabbed ahold of something which raised her into the air, before she disappeared from sight completely, the engine roar spiked, before finally, silence.

@mattmanganon Three to four weeks is without roads, it would take months on horses. You can get across country now in six days currently it's not a stretch that without roads you could manage it in a month. Plenty of military vehicles laying around unused so off roaders would be easy to acquire.

Yes, but you need to remember that just because they were designed for these conditions, doesn't mean that they are completely immune to them. And if the military vehicles are anything like modern day ones, then they are designed to withstand the harshest of terrains in short bursts. Going for a week, then having to be completely overhauled... And that's assuming that everything went as well as it possibly could, with the best engineers in the world at your beck and call... These conditions are completely different.

You have engineers that have never seen this kind of equipment, combined with the fact that it's all been 200 years without maintainance, combined with the fact that all of the parts on military vehicles are generally specialized, designed so that enemies will have an extraordinarily hard time repairing/maintaining them if captured, but allies just need to ring the supply office and have a box of them sent. It's alright for NCR/Enclave/Brotherhood, because they have VR training pods, as well as access to a vast quantity of military facilities, in which, parts will be lying around, as well as production facilities where the schematics will be. But, long range and with no chance of back-up, I don't see that working.

Honestly, the way I see it, if they try taking a military vehicle across the country, I imagine that 90% of the trip will be spent scrounging for parts when things go wrong, having to find a new vehicle because they can't figure out what is wrong with that one, then scrounging for parts for that as well. And don't even get me started on Raiders/Supermutants/Slavers/Enclave/Legion taking potshots at you as you drive past, causing further damage to the vehicle.

Don't get me wrong, getting across the country is far from impossible, again, if our good friend Harold could do it with most of his brain missing, then I'm sure that any idiot that set his mind to it could do so. But I think that 3-4 weeks across harsh terrain and everything and its mum trying to kill/eat you is a VERY optimistic. 3-4 months I'd say is more reasonable.
