Current I am still on RPG, so do feel free to message me. Just don't have the time or energy to actually join any RP's right now. Focusing on a LOT of other projects, including getting into Audio Drama.

@JackDLemmy Not really what I had in mind for the universe. I mean, if you want to maybe make Hellboy or Men In Black or Doctor Stranger or any of the other monster hunting heroes and maybe use some of those monsters as villains, I'm fine with that, but this is primarily a Superhero based RP.
@JackDLemmy Well, at this rate, i'm hoping for at least 1 more interested person before moving forward, but I have no idea what scp is. Is it Superhero related?
@Sep Just to put it out there, there is a wrecked Metal Sonic in the debris if Tarkin is looking for clues. Do bare in mind, Metal Sonics are notoriously aggressive, regardless of how badly damaged they are, so if they do reactivate it, first thing it's going to do is try to kill everyone in the room, before making its escape.
Egg Carrier

"Alright, Oglivie, bring some of them aboard, we'll need to interrogate them." Eggman ordered. He then saw a button start beeping on the control console. "What the..." He then saw the new Star Destroyer approaching and the message.

"Attention unidentified vessel. You have infringed on Imperial Territory and attacked an Imperial Navy vessel. Stand down now, withdraw or be destroyed. These ships are far more powerful than the ones you previously attacked."

"HAH, YOU GUYS JUST MESSED WITH THE EGGMAN EMPIRE!!!" Thunderbolt responded over the closed communications. "BOSS, ORDER US TO OPEN FIRE AND WE'LL TAKE 'EM DOWN!!!" She yelled with excitement. Eggman smiled as he flicked a switch.

"Remind me, Thunderbolt, since when did you give the orders?" He asked. She faltered as he asked.

"Umm... I... Uhhh... Never?" She asked.

"That's right!" He replied in a patronizing tone. "Now, kindly STOP DOING IT!!!" he roared.

"I'M SORRY!!!!" She cried.

"All forces, retreat, pull back to the Egg Carrier and retreat." Eggman ordered. "We are after Manic, we don't need to get bogged down in a pointless fight." He said. "Rev up the Special Zone drive." He ordered. The Emperor and Wizard began returning to the Egg Carrier. Oglivie, on the otherhand, was slicing his way into the bridge computer.

"Give me a minute, i'm going to try and get some of their data. See how much they know about us." He replied.

"The longer we stay, the more data they'll collect." Sonia replied over the comm. "I hate to say it, Eggman's right, let's just go." She ordered. Oglivie saw some of the data that he was downloading.

"Metal Sonics, fall back and secure an escape route." He ordered. The Metal Sonics began to leave the room. Oglivie saw the bar go to 2% then 3% "Dammit, this'll have to do." He replied, before disconnecting and floating out of the room and rocketting down the corridor, towards an airlock, that the remaining Metal Sonics were gathered at. He jumped into the Airlock and was followed by the Metal Sonics, before they were ejected into space. They blasted back to the Egg Carrier. Oglivie rushed up to the command bridge to find Eggman having already returned. "We could have gotten more data if we fought them." He said. Eggman didn't look at him.

"Their ship is brand new and they aren't too sure about us." He said. "They don't want to test it out against an unknown, so they are letting us go. I think that is the best outcome that we could possibly hope for." He said. Oglivie plugged his jack into the console.

"At least download and analyze the data we collected." He asked. Eggman nodded, before the Special Zone appeared around them and they disappeared.
@Chiro History of Legacies is going to be one we all figure out together, but the ones that definitely will exist, regardless of anyone playing the characters:

Justice Society of America (Pretty much all of the WWII era Superheroes, Captain America, The original Human Torch (The robot one) Wildcat, Alan Scott, Red Tornado (Ma Hunkle) and the like)
Xavier Institute for The Gifted (The X-Men, The Brotherhood of Mutants, Charles Xavier and Magneto.)
Superman (Yes, the big blue angel is going to be in this, why? Because he's my favourite superhero ever, that's why)
The 4th Wall-Society (Deadpool, Ambush Bug, Bat-Mite, The Mask, Etc. why are they here? Because they won't let me keep them out.)
S.H.I.E.L.D. and CADMUS (Two competing orginizations of the US government, trying to keep Supers under control. S.H.I.E.L.D. are doing it openly, whereas CADMUS are very much a dirty secret that doesn't officially exist.)
@Chiro I have no problem with either of those concepts in theory, but I do look forward to seeing a character sheet. I imagine that Marshal Law would be working for either CADMUS or S.H.I.E.L.D. in this universe.

18+ stuff, like gratuitous sex, I'll remain skeptical about, but so long as you lock that behind a specific 18+ labelled hider, should be fine.

Eggman's Response:

I'll get an actual response up soon.
@JackDLemmy
1) There are so many damn characters out there to choose from, you can have OC supporting cast, but the main heroes HAVE to be based on some kind of continuity.
2) Characters have to be recognizable as at least one of their incarnations. So, with Batman, for example, you can apply for Golden Age detective Batman, 60's Adam West Batman, 80's dark and gritty Batman, Rebirth's sociopath Batman, Alternate-universe Vampire Batman, etc. Now, there can be some leeway with this, you can change him up in different ways, but he still has to be recognizable as Batman. So, if you are going to give him guns and a need to slaughter anyone that is guilty, at that point, you are playing The Punisher, with a Batman skin and will be rejected. Ultimately, this is a little too subjective to properly define, but my suggestion is, alter them however you want and if you alter a little too much, i'll happily discuss a compromise.
3) In this kind of an RP, Power Levels are kind of irrelevant. Since interaction isn't necessary, all characters are subject to the "rules of narrative" meaning that they are only as powerful as their story requires them to be. E.G. logistically speaking, there is no way in hell Batman should ever be able to defeat Superman in a straight up fight, however, in every Frank Miller narrative, Batman is always able to get the upper hand, due to the narrative not working unless Batman is able to defeat Superman.
4) Think of it like how the MCU did their world. Pretty much exactly the same as ours at base value, but with whatever aliens, technologies and mythical beings are required to make the characters work in the setting. You can transport a character through time to this setting, E.G. Conan the Barbarian is thrown forward in time to the modern world, or the Legion of Super-Heroes are thrown into the past and have to survive in the modern world.
5a) There will be a specific start date, to be determined, based on how many people are interested. Anyone can apply for any role, so if we have Multiple people wanting to be Batman, then i'll determine who's sheet i like the most and will give that person the go-ahead and ask the others to come up with new characters. After that, then it'll become first-come-first-served, but, again, your sheet will need to be up to snuff. I'm not just going to hand away spots in this to every tom, dick and harry.
5b) As soon as you have your character, you have complete control over that characters part of the mythos. So, their specific stories, their rogue's gallery, their supporting cast, etc. If other people want to play something that is part of your mythos, then they have to discuss it with you. E.G. You have successfully applied for Batman, but someone else comes along wanting to play Jason Todd. We will get together and discuss what parts of the mythos each player gets. I mean, if the Batman player isn't going to use Jason Todd and a bunch of the immense rogue's gallery anyway, i don't see why someone else shouldn't get the chance. Again, a little too subjective to set down hard rules on it, but we will play it by ear and try to engineer a situation that makes everyone happy.
6) Agencies are another one that is rather too subjective to lay down a blanket rule. Self contained agencies, like M.I.B. or B.P.R.D. that are pretty much contained to a small number of character, yes, one player can have entire control over. Larger organizations with multiple branches, like S.H.I.E.L.D. and CADMUS, you can play members of, and control your own self contained unit within that organization, but not the entire organization, as those will remain in the GM's control. E.G. You apply for Black Widow, you control her, you control the villains that she goes after, you control the immediate members S.H.I.E.L.D. around her, but you don't control S.H.I.E.L.D. in its entirety. Nick Fury is going to be one of those characters that will be off-limits for any one person to control, as he is sort of a universal force and can show up in anyone's stories, at which time, they will get temporary control of him.
7) This is a sandbox. Each player will have their one story to follow. Not everyone's story will necessarily effect each other. Again, think of this like me running a Comic Book company and you each being a writer on a different line of comics. What happens in the Batman comics, doesn't necessarily effect what happens in the Superman comics. Global events are different and i'm still working on how those will work. Again, this thread is a literal "Interest Check" to see how many people would be interested in this kind of an RP.

So, there have been a few of these going around in the last year and i have been kinda wanting to run one with my own twist on it. So, here's the skinny on it:

*This is a primarily Superhero RP, so feel free to go nuts with the kinds of character you want to play. Feel free to use any comic characters from pretty much any fandom, so long as they fit into a modern setting. So, generally Marvel, DC, Image and Darkhorse stuff is probably going to be the most popular, but feel free to pitch most anything, including maybe Manga, so long as it fits into that modern setting.

*This is a brand new universe, so the past and future will be molded by what characters people want to play and where they want to go with those characters.

*Reimaginings are not only allowed, but openly endorsed, as is combining the mythos' of different universes. Aquaman and Namor are brothers? Blade and Buffy are a buddy-Cop duo? Black Cat and Cat-Woman regularly have court battles over copyright? Skies the limit, i want to see active imaginations. That being said, if you just want to write Batman being the Worlds Greatest Detective, that's perfectly A-OK too.

*This will be a Sandbox RP. Interaction with other players is not mandatory. Think of it as me giving you your own comic book run and you get to write exactly how it goes. If you want to get together with other players and collaborate, that is perfectly fine, and again, openly endorsed.

*Now, here comes the spice. So, when people have a story idea in their head, they find trouble getting it out there, sometimes they grow bored with what they are writing and start to lose interest. To try and counteract this, i will be throwing Global Events, specifically designed to throw a wrench into your works and keep you on your toes. Now, these aren't going to be terribly intrusive, but it will force you to rethink some of your posts to work around the fact that there are a lot of assholes in this world that need a lot of fine, upstanding citizens in order to combat them. One day, your character might wake up to find that Weather Wizard has placed Weather control machines all over the world. Your character now has to deal with completely insane weather whilst continuing their story, until one of the heroes in the area has destroyed it. Iron Man might be the one to tackle the weather control machine for New York, but harsh weather is hardly going to stop Spider-Man and Daredevil from tracking down their villains, but the weather in New York will still be fucked up until Iron Man deals with it.

*When you choose the kind of story you want to tell, you choose the characters you need for this story, you get control over that part of the mythos. You want to play Spider-Man, you get control over Spidey's Rogue's Gallery as well, if you want to use supporting characters from other continuities (Like say, having Jimmy Olson interning with Spidey at the Bugle) Then bare in mind that other people might want to use that character for their continuity. Be courtious, is all i'm saying.

So, this is still in the planning stages, i don't have a CS or anything like that yet. This is just testing the waters to see if anyone out there is even interested in an RP like this?

So, Egg Carrier is being stalked by an Egyptian God, i assume that he's from SG-1. All i know about that show is it's about McGuyver having to go stop Evil Space-Egypt and he has a side-kick with weird bling on his forehead.
