April 11th, Year 1 On Route to Volleyball Club

Nope? Huh. Maybe, just maybe Akari's judgement was flawed for the first time in a good while.

“Oh. I see.” She remarked stoically, as the teenager shuffled through the corridors.

Part of her was a little curious about how much experience she had. What school she went to, how far they had made it in regionals, and that sort of thing. Bigger schools meant bigger teams and more ability to be competitive. Akari’s first year hadn’t helped the fledgling and motley volleyball club out too much, so her thoughts wandered often about what she could do going forward. It didn’t take her long to make one more comment before they reached their destination, though it was a surprising one.

“So. What was your old school like?”

She wasn’t sure if she was even really curious. Akari hated small talk, or at least that’s what she told people.

“Must’ve been pretty nice.”

Akari sighed, shaking her head. “Spiking and Serving.”

The taller girl shuffled her hands in her blazer’s pockets as she looked over at the smaller girl. Shimizu had told the entire class that she liked shopping and volleyball so her absolute ignorance of the right lingo surprised her. Part of Akari was hoping that she would’ve been some kind of ace before she moved to Utsubyo, but apparently this was not the case. Akari was dumb to think so, obviously, but the idea that this loud, bubbly moron could help bring the team over the top was pretty naive of her. She was who she was.

“It’s just lingo. You’ll get used to it. Is this your first time on an actual team?”

Uh, we have 12 potential players so far, and the DM will only allow 6-7 characters at the start.

You can join the Discord and see what she says, though! Which characters start out initially is entirely decided by who gets their sheet out in time, so if you're quick, you might be able to play! <3

Nobody has even been accepted yet, so its all going to be a CS contest come OOC application time. They can be interested if they want. :)

@Bounce @Supermaxx

See no problems with these two if they are the characters you are gonna go with. You can transfer those over to the CHAR tab without their hiders.

And so this was her life.

In a way it was funny, reminding her back to… better times. Before Mirei had to move on account of her father finally finding a good job that wasn’t in this horrible town. She hadn’t understood it then. Thoughts wondering why everyone kept abandoning her had clouded her mind then and it took a long time for her to get over it. Though part of her still missed having Ishii Mirei around; having her best friend to help her through the tough times. Shimizu wasn't the same, but her boundless energy, part of Akari wondered if it'd eventually have an impact on her. Only time would tell, she supposed.

She sighed, looking at the sunnier girl. “Yeah. Sure thing.”

There was still things she had to do this week, but it was also another day occupied by priorities Akari refused to ignore or reschedule. By the luck of the shichifukujin she hadn't been able to confront Totsuka. Likely due to her new friend's constant indulgences and Akari's own responsibilities at home and in club. She was still fully intending to do it, but what would she say a few days removed from the whole event? So annoying.

”You’re excitable today.”

I liked DDLC but I found it pretty mundane, but I was experienced with the medium of visual novels before, so.

I was gonna respond with a YJ Robin gif about being whelmed, but trying to share pics on my phone without signing up for some garbage-ass app is nigh impossible.

But anyway, yeah, I'm down for running as Robin. Expect an application soon.

No problem. Take your time.

Character Name

Koriand’r, Princess of Tamaran
Starfire

Age

16

Attributes & Abilities

As a Tamaranean, Starfire has a vast array of abilities that on a genetic level allows her to be more durable, powerful, and dexterous than a normal humanoid being. This physiology is considered superhuman by definition, though it by no means she is without her limits. As an individual who has only been “active” with her superpowers for around three or so years, Starfire lacks the experience that veteran superhumans have in utilizing their abilities. To summarize, Starfire runs “hot” like her powers seem to imply and her stamina and metahuman constitution still largely define her combat capabilities in the long-term. Starfire is not resistant or even immune to telepathic domination or the supernatural and her own inherent kindness, anxiety, and curiosity tends to distract her from the greater picture. Starfire doesn’t like committing herself 100% to brutal actions as she has seen firsthand what it has turned her sister into.

That aside, Starfire is very versatile. She can expel and control a green thermal energy which she can utilize to allow her to levitate and go on the offensive. Her Tamaranean Physiology allows her to be neurologically unique and she can assimilate language through physical contact.

Her practical skillset (see: beyond powers) includes survival skills, tamaranean martial arts, and galactic knowledge.

Character Synopsis

Koriand’r was born on the planet of Tamaran, a core world in the interstellar political sphere within the star system known as Vega. Her childhood was bred from gleeful competition with her brother and sister, Ryand’r and Komand’r. For the majority of her childhood, things were peaceful and archetypal with a loving family, honorable mentors, and expectations being stressful but none too devastating. Kori never thought much of sadness or fear, they were emotions better fit for those who had to struggle; the worst Kori had to deal with was her elder sister giving her a stern glare or an aggressive lecture. But things did not stay picturesque for long. A sentiment Kori would think long and hard about when Tamaran became the target of alien conquerors known as the Gordanians. It was here that Kori was separated from her family and friends; her homeworld taken from her and her childhood ripped away before she could realize it.

Several years of her life seemed to pass by in an instant – she survived on her own, escaped capture on several occasions, and found herself trying to find any trace of her siblings as the Gordanians grew in power. After her sister disappeared without a trace and her brother was sent to a far-off slave planet, Kori found herself doing whatever she could to oppose the Gordanians and their growing influence. Kori herself still doubts she would’ve escaped from the Vega System alive and free if not for the influence of a vigilante known as Thaddeus Bach. It would be with her escape from the Vega System that Kori found herself once again being hunted down by the Gordanians.

After she finds refuge on a planet named Earth, things may be reaching their most drastic. But help arises in the most unlikely of places, she finds.
Think I'll be waiting more info in a OOC before commiting.
