Anyways this looks pretty cool might thrown a sheet later.

I have to ask if there will be a discord server or will we use the forum for most OOC stuff?

Will most likely just hold a groupchat on discord of some kind. Though, I will be transparent that "Genki" is the only role I really need at the moment and the one that will have competition for the role. Everyone else, which you can call nepotism or favortism, has come to me days before with their pitches and are people I trust to be active participants. Right now I am just filling out roles.

Yoshioka Minami is not one would expect when someone says “my daughter is among the top of her class”. She has no friends, has no interest in living a normal high school life, and largely keeps to herself.

As a note to prospective players and my stalkers friends, I'll be editing this conceptually from what you may have expected in the rough draft. Think of this as a middle-ground between my Fate ideas and my Persona ideas with this being an experimental sort of mash of what I've talked about for a few years. I do not want esoteric ideas in terms of builds. In fact, I want you to worry about your character as a high school student only while I figure out which direction I'm going in that middle-ground I mentioned.

The urban fantasy/cosmic fantasy stuff will come in time.

Also, with any project I do: CS applications go in OOC in a hider.

“A broken mirror shows many reflections.”

Hashiguchi Senior High School, by all appearances, is an insignificant high school in Hiroshima, Japan.

People have come and gone. You are another cog in the endless machine, but this isn’t a normal story about high schoolers trying to figure out their purpose in life as they navigate relationships, clubs, and everything in the middle. You don’t realize it yet, but you have been marked for death. The question to your story will be can you survive unspeakable odds and cosmic consequences and your school-life balance?

The odds are not in your favor.

And they are not even native to your reality. That's the funny thing about mirrors.

At the start of Twisted Fate: Arcane Whisper, players portray high school students aged sixteen or seventeen years of age. As events unfold, they will realize that the universe has very different plans for them as the threads of fate have been altered and they must defend themselves from the cosmic unraveling. The world around them will shift, it will become difficult for them to trust their own eyes and ears, and they will have to rise to the occasion.

There are elements of Fate Stay Night, Persona, Blue Reflection, and many other urban fantasy settings present, but this is not a 1:1 match. This is a cavalcade of ideas. This is a urban fantasy game with elements of the temporal, cosmic, and strange. It is largely experimental and vague.

Typical character sheet conceptualization that is popular in games I run with some caveats. There will only be four player characters for this story (five including myself) and I actually want to leave the sense of abilities more vague at the beginning. However, much like Persona RPs I have been part of this will require you to select a Tarot Card to link to your character. The idea of fate and destiny are significant elements of this story.

Characters shouldn't have too many overlapping tropes or dynamics. The most rigid part of this RP will be the following: you must select a predetermined idea to base your character on and they must also adhere to elements of the tarot card you choose. When you gain supernatural powers as the story progresses it should be based also on the element of your card in some way, shape, or form. The predetermined ideas are as follows and from there you should have enough information to make a character sheet once I make the code available.

Predetermined Concepts:
- Delinquent
- Genki Girl
- Honor Student
- School Idol
- Social Pariah

"She's, um, AJ should still be a mile ahead down the street. Let's just go, please."

Today was not a good day.

Still, Paul was surprised Diane had given up so quickly, but then again not seeing military or police around marked vehicles would make him a little wary, too. Fortunately, they hadn’t burned a lot of time. When Diane said AJ was only a mile or so up the street a sense of relief came over him, though his mind immediately combated it with questions. What if she had dropped her phone? What if she was hurt? He could feel the anxiety swell in his gut as they pulled out of the street’s shoulder.

He still had plenty of gas in his 2019 BMW 3 Series Sedan. That was at least one positive.

“Don’t have to tell me twice.” He remarked as she asked him to drive. “The street looks pretty clear. We’ll get to her soon.”

As Paul made sure to drive carefully around any would-be collisions or obstructions, somehow, that’s when Diane’s phone came to life.

I've got a few Kara posts already pre-written. Some short, some long. I'm just waiting. Not going to lie, if people have given up on this already I'll be feeling a little sour about it.

My name is Kara-El.

Approximately sixteen years ago, I was brought to life and placed in a birthing matrix on the planet Krypton.

Six years ago, my world fell into chaos due to a brutal civil war.

I would still be there, if not for my father’s intervention.

If not for...

“And there is no way to save it.”

Kara’s father, Zor-El, was once regarded as the keenest intellect on Krypton.

The war had changed his priorities much as it had changed Kara herself. And he refused to have Krypton be the end point of the human race. Not even the heat death of the universe could compel him to surrender.

“Father, the war will not go on forever.”

“These are the final hours, Kara. There is no time to save our planet. Fate will not allow us to continue, in any form, I have foreseen it. There is only time for me to save you.”

“What in Rao’s name are you talking about?”

“I have detected an anomaly in our atmosphere. I already have begun the process of manipulating it so it becomes a temporal rift.” The older Kryptonian sighs, as he turns, “We can’t miss our window.”

When she begrudgingly followed her father down the corridor of the laboratory Kara knew, deep down, that she had to trust what she was being told. The civil war had come with a large cost and it was the only life she really had known.

“You’re not coming with me.” She frowned, “You’re staying behind to direct the anomaly.”

Her instincts fought against her, a whirlwind of grief against six years of numbing herself to emotions she needed to feel; where any emotion bleeding out at the wrong moment meant certain death at the hand of their enemies. The heretics and the fanatics, the rival houses and tyrants, the fearmongering terrorists and those who had cursed the name of collective strength in the name of personal survival. She had been robbed of a childhood she deserved. Her mother, executed by her enemies in front of her. If the world was sane and noble she would be babysitting her cousin Kal and preparing for the trials that would define her placement in society.

Not a soldier.

Not a survivor.

Not an orphan.

Not a exile.

“A logical decision, if your plan is to succeed.”

“I’m sorry I cannot go with you, Kara.” Her father remarks as they come to a room observing the temporal anomaly. “But you must be strong. Stronger than you can ever believe.”

He looks back, and his next words promise to stay with her.

“And you need to make sure this never comes to be.”
