_ Relevant Experience: Aldo Princis was born and educated in Mulcharm, a fact that he doesn’t like to advertise to anyone. His father, Dadenn, lost his life when Aldo was a teenager.
How does someone from Mulcharm, addicted to all of its amenities and way of life, come to be a traveling mercenary on the edges of society? Aldo Princis offers you no answer, only a smile and a shrug. Contemplate revenge, assume trauma, and acknowledge pain to find the truth of the matter. Aldo has been hurting and running away from his problems for a long time and now finds himself in a precarious situation where the skills he honed in academia are only useful in exchange for coin. An unruly alchemist? A devious thief? A ruthless mercenary? These are just words to describe different angles of things. If you hire him, advise caution and use him well.
Why You Should Hire Me: "That is a good question. A better question may be ‘why you shouldn’t hire me’."
The young man takes a long drag of his smokeweed, before smiling almost idly.
"People don’t trust me. Contracts come aplenty, but always with complaints. And you should keep your blanket tight and your coinpurse even tighter. I’m not some noble mercenary out to fix this world; I’m an opportunist, a thief, and a philosophical agnostic. But I am smarter than the next guy, and I’m privy to a versatile skillset. I create fire and ash from rocks, plants, and a match. I predict where the attacks are coming and I attack like a hornet in a meadow. You need me for this job, more than the guy at the next table over or at the bar with a full suit of armor. If you want complexity and efficiency, you will always come back to Aldo Princis and that’s just a fact."
This is an interesting spin, Haha. Might generate something for you, and yes it does remind me a bit of our mutual friend Tree's conceptualization a little bit. ✌️
The tone of the RP seems to clash with the image header you used, lol, cool idea though and I'll stalk it up to maybe. You'll probably fill out fast, anyway. Text-based D&D I rarely have good mileage with.
There was no great trauma that unlocked her latent abilities, no training that pushed her body to the limit, and no negative interpersonal relationship with her family. She is the rare one-in-one-hundred case of it all coming to her like second nature.
It is through that result that resentments have built towards her from other people, other magi, but she never has thought of any person with malice, envy, or disdain. A targeted insult to Hitomi’s person is received and returned with kindness, patience, and generally indifference. In that way, she could be called a happy person. That can be frustrating to some. Perhaps that is why she is envied by many, a bright light in a dark unbridled world. The light of the Oda Clan.
“Huh? What do you mean?”
There is also consideration that Hitomi is talented, but not really disciplined.
Her warmth and talent are her principal traits, but overall, she struggles with paying attention to things of a social nature. In her childhood, her masters found her inability to pay attention to their lessons incredibly exhausting, especially once pressed on the matter, which she’d simply explain that she didn’t need to. Her aptitude with her abilities was practical, she figured it out on her own, and with little need for instruction.
This indeed improved with time as she got older, but not to the level one would think. The absurdity was if she actually honed her discipline like her peers, she’d even be greater than she already was. But for Hitomi, life was something she coasted through one foot at a time and not one of a deep desire to be the best. And she’s okay with that.

Dating back to the 13th Century, the Oda Clan has long been a fixture in Japanese history as strong leaders, tacticians, and intellectual savants.
Hitomi is the daughter of Masahiro and Meisa. Along with her many cousins and her older brother, Hayato, she makes up the current generation of Oda Clan magi in service to protecting Japan from threats seen and unseen, dubious and material, esoteric and mundane. And from a young age, it was clear that she was more adept and talented than her brother or their fourteen cousins. It was not the result that was expected.
At ten years old, she was the youngest member of Tasogare.
By twelve, she had been promoted to handling missions independently.
By the time she was sixteen she had performed over a hundred exorcisms.
Hitomi wasn’t just a freak of nature and a glowing achievement of the Oda Clan. She was something else. She was Tasogare. Her natural talent created barriers, wilted feathers of long-standing members of the organization, and eventually that sturdy foundation of hers began to lose a few bricks. She appeared carefree, either oblivious to the fact or willfully ignoring it. How far could she fly before she flew too close to the sun?
Upon meeting an ancient Moloch, Hitomi is infected by the creature and her life spirals out of control. Those who had benefited from her talents as a magi come after her as she tries to wrestle with ways to fight her own innate fears and control her fate.
It is Human-only since humans have not discovered an alien species yet. Though I feel like I should say this is not a Star Trek rp despite the human gov being a Federation.
Obviously it isn't Trek, but it does seem very Trek-inspired so I was just using it as a comparison point. Good to know what the limitations are.
