Just a friendly reminder that Hugo Ball wearing lobster fisty cuffs while reciting Dada poetry was a thing.

Tbf, the shallow end has paralyzed and drowned many people who were not being cautious.

Neomi Adams

Quickly, Neomi scrambled to put her sketchbook and pencils back into her sack of things before she fetched Yiya’s cane and removed herself from the blanket. She watched the robotic spider-like contraption with awe. It was cute, and she had never seen anything quite like it.

Sure, she had seen some machinery in Oaken City before. Some guests even boasted about what they had seen or bought in town, but this terrarium was much more unique and intricate and… life-like. It even had a name!

As the terrarium scuttled about on its many legs, Neomi looked at the others. She had not given them much thought when she first arrived, but now, as she seemingly sized them up, she noticed they both had guns. A dark feeling sank inside of Neomi. Was she really prepared for this?

She was about to say something to Yiya when the enchanting sound of a train began to approach. She focused on the lights drumming down the tunnel. They became bright and brighter. But then, something stole her attention entirely. It was like a giant hunched shadow, just lingering menacingly… like it was about to engulf the train.

β€œYiya, wh-what is that?” Neomi asked as confidently as possible. She wasn’t sure why she had asked. The old lady had not seemed to notice it, but the question fell out of Neomi regardless.

And then it hit her. She had seen something like this before. β€œIs… is that a rue?” Her heart was pounding. This is what she had been waiting for. She was exactly what she had wanted. Here it was. Right in front of her. There was no turning back now. Of course, that could have been for entirely different reasons now.

Of course, before the could truly ruminate on what was happening, one of the girls (Sasha was it?) took her gun and aimed it at the Rue. She fired what seemed like an empty shot. Time seemed to stand still as the shot went off, and Neomi felt her breath being taken with the moment.

E Q U I P M E N T :

The week had come and gone in a curious manner. There was apprehension misting the air around everyone’s auras. It was only healthy that such an occurrence took place. The situation was of brave importance, and without a little stress to sharpen the moods, they would all fall dull and flat against the coming enemy.

Aurora was sufficiently aware of her own apprehensions. However, with the quick and resourceful learnings of Zoe’s, Aurora felt a calmness towards the situation. The humans were remarkable creatures β€” just as her father had always taught Rowan and her. He spoke so highly of them that Aurora felt a little embarrassed at how surprised she was by their strength and powers.

Of course, the human condition was still fragile, and Aurora noted several such delicacies within the fabric of Cora’s persona. The glow of her aura was rarely proven dull and lacking in shine, but it had tender moments that Aurora felt more than responsible for taking under her care. She tried her best to relay these responses to Rowan.

Zora was a natural, which proved itself prosperous and also problematic at times. She was fiercely independent β€” just like that of the ocean. But, Aurora had to remind herself (and one day Zora) that even the ocean was guided by the celestial beings. For now, allowing Zora the free-range of experimenting with what she could with her powers was proving wise enough:

β€œWater has the properties to heal and to cause harm. It is a powerful element and must be used with sincere caution. Even a small trickle can shape mountains.” There was more Aurora wished to speak of, in terms of water and the potentials of powerful damage. Still, those lessons would come later, as to not distract the purity of Zora’s training.

It was a beautiful day in Riverbloom. The group was taking a break at the Daisy, a tiny bakery in Riverbloom known for its cakes. Rowan and Aurora had both those to skip Books and Cookies for something a little more leisurely. It seemed in the past week, the two of them had been filling Zora to the brim with information, and Aurora was afraid the amount of information would turn toxic after a while.

The Daisy was quaint and quiet. It contrasted the boldness of Zora’s attire, but Aurora had no such insight on the situation. All she could see was the calmness of the the environment had on everyone.

β€œZora, you are learning so quickly. I understand that I keep encouraging you with similar compliments, but truly, this I am impressed. Your inner glow is shining more diligently, as well. Please, be honest. How are your thoughts?”

After her question, Aurora cheerfully took a small bite from her piece of cake. The cutlery was prominent in fairy taste, and the cake was even more delicious.
I’ll get a post up tomorrow!

L O C A T I O N : Guesthouse & Sadie’s Party
I N T E R A C T I O N S : Princess Sadie Camilia @Potter
M E N T I O N S : Lady Thea Smithwood @Tae, Princess Sadie Camilia @Potter

Bitterness had taken Prince Felix’s feelings. Lady Thea had not shown up for their dinner. He waited for over half a hour, seated, just simply waiting for her to make her appearance. Alas, she never did.

He should have seen this happening, but somehow blindsided himself. She was always coy and fickle one moment and then the next, exactly as she had been the night before. There was no reason to make any expectations of her. She was volatile.

He checked his pocket watch. There was still ample time to make Sadie’s party. This was something positive to look forward to, after he wasted an entire day on his betrothed with little to show, not even a simple dinner.

First, he made way back to his guest room. There was no use in bringing the Lady’s present around with him. Next, he decided to change his clothes to something a little more casual. His sword would be coming along with him as usual, but he decided to change out his holder β€” reminding himself he missed the sword competition.

Letting the mood roll from him, at least externally, the Prince checked his pocket watch one last time, for punctuation and proceeded out the door of the guest room. He made his way to the party, holding an air of reasonable nobility. There was no reason to foul the mood at his sister’s affair.

When he arrived he made sure to greet his sister with as much jovial love as possible, possibly verging on a sibling enamorment. He also entertained the possibilities of making light with the rest of the guests.
