@BlueSky44: Day 5!

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Private Plane

It surprised Cecily to learn that Mexico had stricter weapons laws. For whatever reason, she had been under the impression that it would be the opposite. It was something that she had never really considered, to the extent that the more she thought about it, the more clueless she felt about Mexico as a whole. She had been there once or twice before, but she had been young--too young to actually comprehend another country, another culture. The mention of "other stuff" also caught her attention. What qualified as other stuff? She tilted her head slightly, but Caesar had been through a lot. It'd be best to let him sleep and she could find out for herself what other stuff meant later.

She noticed Natasha putting her hand on the stomach, her heart instantly going out to the woman. Here she was, still on medication for cancer treatment, and she was flying for six hours to Mexico. It didn't seem to be healthy in the slightest. If anything happened to Natasha, Cecily would likely feel personally responsible for it. "I'm not that good a shot anyways," Cecily joked, taking out her own gun and setting it down. A few classes with it hadn't turned her into Black Widow just yet. And it wasn't likely to ever happen. She wasn't like Natasha or Caesar. She wasn't deadly.

Once the pilot announced cruising altitude, some old habits of Cecily kicked in, telling her to take out a laptop and start watching movies. She nipped that small little urge before she did anything, knowing that it was time for Natasha to check out her wound and (hopefully) proclaim nothing wrong with it. She really didn't want to have to get emergency medical services at cruising altitude.

"Sounds good to me, Doc," Cecily nodded, pulling off her jacket and then maneuvering the sleeve of her t-shirt so that way Natasha had access to the wound. Cecily then bit her lip. "Does it look okay to you?"

Iris Kingston

Location: 3932 Chicago Heights

Iris blinked as Amy Adams started talking at a speed that way exceeded a kilometer a minute. She could hardly comprehend all of the words that Amy Adams spilled out, taking a few seconds to recall exactly what had been said. Just a few minutes ago she had been informed of the gag order and now, the press was quite literally on her doorstep. She opened her mouth for a moment, before closing it again. She tried to be an honest person and didn't want to lie to the press, but at the same time, she also knew that it wasn't worth losing her job over. There were still more people in the asylum that she could help.

"I am afraid that I cannot comment on events happening at the asylum, due to patient confidentiality," Iris finally said, smiling nervously and apologetically at Amy. Her eyes darted into the camera every so often, revealing that the young psychiatrist hadn't spent all too much time on television before. In fact, she couldn't recall ever being on television. She had never been involved in something that merited the attention of the press.

"And...I'm just doing my best to help people?" Iris finished, shrugging her shoulders slightly. Amy's question about how that made her feel was echoing through Iris' mind. She wanted to tell the woman that she was devastated and felt like a failure, but the gag order had been clear. Information would be released later on and for now, no one was to talk to the press about what had happened. "Bien...Anything else I could help you with, madame?" Her accent was doing a little none thing that happened when Iris was nervous and uncertain--switching wildly between the British influence of her mother and the French influence of her father.

Nora Kingston

Location: Cairo - Headed Towards The Museum

Nora didn't mind Neema and her friend talking as if no one else was present. It was quite normal, in her experience, for people to forget her existence. It was a fact of the universe that she had resigned herself to a long time ago, being the youngest of seven. Even her brother Earnest, who had died during the Great War, continued to receive more attention than she. In fact, it was no great surprise to Nora that her father had not become alarmed that she had not shown up to perform her duties as an assistant yet that day. He was likely pleased that his youngest daughter was not going to work, perhaps even hoping that she had finally decided to become normal like the rest of his children - even if she was damaged goods, per say.

"Scientist works quite well, I must admit the details of my occupation are a bit fuzzy," Nora explained. She was officially an assistant to an anthropology professor here in Cairo. However, she dabbled with cryptography in her free time, and if she could choose a profession for herself, she likely would have become an accounting clerk of sorts. She would have spent her days crunching numbers and enjoying independence. Needless to say, scientist appeared to be a good enough title--and one she far preferred to being called a lady.

"And a pleasure to meet you as well," Nora replied, smiling slightly at Rosheen as was to be expected. She held back a quiet chuckle at the man's antics, before making a note to stop by and purchase some of his food at another time. It would have been rude to eat lunch before meeting Lady Munn for the luncheon at the museum. She also noticed the look of intrigue on the other woman's face, though Nora was hesitant to speak with her. She had no ill will towards her, of course, but it was just who Nora was. She was quiet.

@Nallore@BlueSky44@Dark Light@FantasyChic@mnkee
The Port of Tortuga: April 4th, 1719 - 2:36 PM Local Time

@Dark Light@FantasyChic -

No harm came to Millicent and Jon as they made their way through the crowds. A little girl screamed out towards a well to do man, tugging on the sleeve of a blonde haired woman. The performer continued to do various tricks, juggling flames and tossing them about. The crowd was still enamored with her routine, but it was clear it was coming to an end. She'd have to go onto the next biggest and greatest thing shortly enough.

In between two of the taverns, Millicent will spot what looks to be a mugging. But unlike muggings that one may come to expect, where the victim is left alive, the man is gutted at the same time that he is robbed. The men responsible vanish into the crowded streets not long after, as if they had never been there. They haven't noticed Millicent or Jon, so they're likely not trouble but...Well, it is a pirate port after all. Crime doesn't often have a rhyme or reason here.

However, the two of them will be able to make it to the Faithful Bride this round.

Harlianne James

Location: Near the Bellona - Port of Tortuga Docks

"Yor've got ter be out o' yor bloody mind!" Harlianne exclaimed, her eyes wide after Alice had informed her how much she'd be paid. It was far too handsome a fee for such a simple task, a fact that hadn't escaped Alice's minder. The woman seemed to be, in the vernacular of an age yet to come, completely and utterly done with her charge. Harlianne chuckled slightly, the laugh of a madwoman spilling from her lips.

"'Ave a look, luv, I'd be chuffed ter 'elp yer find yor man, i'n it? But until some bloke in me crew gets back, can't leave the Bellona unattended," Harlianne explained. Sirena and Anna had been gone for ages by now, a fact that Harlianne wasn't too happy about. If the pair of them didn't come back with the decent beginning of a crew, she'd be pissed. It didn't do to have a Captain marooned with her ship, basically, since no one else was around to watch her. And when at port, if a ship wasn't watched, it'd be snatched in an instant.

Harlianne had "acquired" the Bellona just like that, after all.

"Miss Waverly can watch your ship!" Alice protested, the innocence and naiveté of a child used to getting her way becoming quite obvious.

Harlianne wrinkled her nose. "Yeah, right, because I'm stupid enough ter leave me ship wiv a noblewoman. Even a former one," Harlianne chuckled. Where the hell were Sirena and Anastasia?

Aravis Zacharia

Location: the Faithful Bride - Port of Tortuga

Aravis had followed Elissa and Anastasia up the stairs of the Faithful Bride, heading into Catalina's room. She took in the pale woman on the bed with some interest. With the girl's complexion, she reminded Aravis of a vampire. Of course, those were just stories to scare children--they were nothing compared to the lore of the sea. They weren't real, but the paleness of the woman did continue to strike her. Pale skin didn't do well in the Caribbean, quickly tanning or burning depending on the individual. It never lasted in the end.

"Si," Catalina nodded, standing up from her chair and beckoning for Anastasia to sit down. "Lot of blood. It is painful, I imagine," Catalina observed, grimacing in pity at Anastasia. Her speech definitely had a bit of a Spanish flair to it, a little broken and a little awkward for traditional English. But compared to other accents, the Spanish accent was common in this area.

"Did you attempt to kill yourself?" the pale woman asked, continuing to pluck petals from the flower. She seemed pretty disinterested with the rest of the world, not even bothering to give her name.

"Virginia, hush. She is a warrior, yes," Catalina chided, chuckling a bit as she grabbed a cloth, needle, and some thread.

Dorothy Pender

Location: Docks

After Foy shushed her of all things, Dorothy was beginning to understand Anisa's legendary rage more and more. And then when the man turned around, clearly in the beginnings of a hissy fit, she wondered how stupid the man was. She still had her gun out, after all. After hitting the woman, she hadn't put it away. Narrowing her eyes as her eyebrows furrowed, Foy's exclamation of picking up the trail didn't win him any favors by her. She almost regretted asking him to track the woman at all. Atticus might be entirely unqualified and a pain in the pi gu, but he was a tolerable pain in the pi gu.

And of course, it was just then that her sister decided to show up. Typical. Atticus moved over to deal with her and Dorothy could just hear what he said, and she clenched one of her fists. "Listen to him. I'll be back soon," Dorothy said succinctly before following Foy back towards the storage crates. Her gun wasn't up and aimed anymore, but it was still in her hand, so that way she could fire in a moment's notice.

"It's just a suit," Dorothy muttered under her breath, thoroughly vexed with Foy. Holstering her pistol, she followed down after Foy, fully expecting the man to throw a fit at any moment. He was the only member of the Alliance thus far that Dorothy had formed a strong opinion of thus far. And while she was no tracker, she figured this next part would be simple. Hopefully the woman left more blood near the manhole exit she had gone out of. Reaching into her pocket, she took out one of her latex gloves and tied it to the manhole cover, as a means for them to find their way back if needed.

Fitz Townsley

Location: Town (Toy Store)

To those walking by the toy store, an odd sight may have struck them. Next to the street urchins who were staring at the window displays in wonder was a fully grown man with curly hair, staring at the very same toys with a big grin. It didn't matter to Fitz that they were marketed towards children and not adults--he found them amazing either way. He was like the young adults from hundreds of years ago who were just as excited by the action figures made for five year olds as the five year olds were. And once he had gotten his fill from the window display, Fitz headed inside of the store.

With the kids running around and the tired clerks, he definitely related more to the former. He never understood the appeal of wine tastings and jewelry stores, always being one to just lose himself in a book store or a toy shop. If the kids hadn't been playing with the toys that were set up for people to try, Fitz would've spent a good hour using them. But while he didn't realize how odd his love of toys and games was, he did know that it'd be rude for an adult to play with a toy when a kid wanted to. Folding his hands, he fiddled his fingers and tapped them as he resolved to wait, until the adult section caught his eye.

"B-Beautiful..." Fitz whispered to himself as he headed over. There was so much to look at and so much to see, he wasn't sure where to fix his eyes. He wanted all of it and none of it at the same time, stuck in the indecision of a man facing the very things he loved most in the world. Purchasing one would mean not purchasing another, a decision he didn't want to make. The chess set the old man was dusting caught his eye, as he couldn't help but admire its quality.

"Th-that's a brilliant s-set you got there," Fitz squeaked, trying his best at small talk.
