#SomethingWickedThisWayComes

Virginia began with a cursory examination of the wolf carcass. She would have preferred to create a brief sketch of it outside, but the image was firmly cemented in her mind. Taking a pad of paper, Virginia drew a rather crude depiction of the gazebo, the flayed corpse, and the message written in blood. She was nowhere near as talented as Millicent and the others, as she had no official training in it, but it was an exercise for her to be able to better recall the scene. Drawing a clean line across the page, she then recorded the date and time that she had found the carcass, as well as the general weather conditions. She then made brief written notes about the ominous flower Peter had found, along with the general state of the garden.

Virginia always fancied that if she were to be struck by a carriage and killed, James would be able to take her notes and continue on with her work the next day.

"Cursory examination of the carcass reveals little as to the circumstances of its placement," Virginia noted, jotting down a similar note in shorthand. Her first brief glance over all of the samples, whether it was blood or soil or the carcass itself, revealed almost nothing of note. However, that in itself gave some indication, planting an idea in Virginia's mind. She added another note to the paper: "Culprit is likely to be careful in their craft due to lack of obvious residue."

None of the hairs appeared out of place to the naked eye, but Virginia set them aside on a piece of cloth. She was well versed in biology and figured that she might examine them with a magnifying power, in order to determine the likely owner of the hairs. Samples would need to be collected from everyone in the house in order for the best pool of data, though Virginia doubted it was anyone here who had done such a thing. Regardless, she jotted it down as a procedural note "Collect hair samples from members of the household for qualitative analysis--color, texture, curl, and so forth. Compare against reference wolf hair to ensure only human matches are considered."

There were no fabrics from what she could tell as well, something that was a pity. It would have been a good indication as to the social class of the culprit, but she would have plenty of other avenues to examine. The blood was likely to all be from the wolf and blood typing would not even be thought of for almost another century. However, she would collect some of it and place it within a flask for further use. She could ponder on the creation of a test to determine if the blood came from an animal or a human, as she had read articles from the French about the incompatibility of animal blood with humans. There had to be some scientific reason present.

"Lady Crypt, I have the spirits you requested," a confident voice said, as a ginger woman popped her head into the laboratory with a smile. Virginia glanced up, her gloves clean for once. It would not have been the first time that Miss Evers entered the laboratory to find Virginia with blood stained hands.

"Very good, Miss Evers," Virginia acknowledged, her eyes moving around the laboratory as she sought out something capable of submersing the carcass in. Spotting a basin that appeared to be large enough, Virginia beckoned for Miss Evers to bring the spirits over. "We shall need to pour all of the spirits into this and place the lid on top of it. Do not fill it all the way--the carcass shall displace some of the liquid. However, we must be careful to place a seal on top of the basin until it is ready or else we risk the loss of our fluid."

"Yes, yes of course," Miss Evers replied. "It's a ghastly mess, isn't it?"

"Quite," Virginia agreed, knowing how fond Miss Evers was of removing stains. The Crypt household provided her plenty of work in that regard. "Miss Evers, once the basin is filled with the spirits, I shall need you to collect a hair sample from each household member...If they claim they are bald and cannot afford to give one, I care not where you take the hair from. It should still serve my purposes quite well."

"Of course, Lady Crypt," Miss Evers said, a bit excited at the prospect. She was the oddest member of household staff that they had, with Alfred sometimes forgetting that Miss Evers was not, in fact, one of the Crypts but merely a lunatic instead. "I shall do that right away."

Virginia nodded, stepping back as Miss Evers filled the basin with the proper amount of spirits. Once done, Virginia took a sheet and placed it over the basin, securing it tightly. It would have to do for a seal at this moment. The carcass itself would be placed within once she had finished her analysis of it.

Maeve felt a bit of a stirring as Calum pretended for a moment to be a priest. She turned her face as to hide the redness appearing in her cheeks. He was a protestant, after all. It was a horrible idea to even think of such things with a man like that. And while he wasn't English, he wasn't Irish either. "Of course," Maeve agreed, grateful to get a bit of fresh air away from the parson. Stepping out of the carriage, Maeve took Rory's hand.

She didn't feel worried in the slightest, but she would rather appear worried than other things. The blush was fading from her cheeks and Maeve was quite grateful for that. She nodded at Rory, attempting to gain the presence of mind to charm him as she did everyone. It was how she had won the parson's favor and Nigel's favor. It had been how she learned to survive--make yourself a welcome presence, one that people will actively seek out.

"Oi'm not worried at al', but t'anks." She couldn't help but wonder how many other friends of the parson they'd be meeting on this trip. It was a wonder he'd be able to go in disguise at all.
@Lady Amalthea Will be posting in the hour between my lecture and work!

Guinevere Stark

Location: Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
{"Don't worry, zombies eat brains! You're safe. You don't have anything that even remotely resembles one."}

Marygold may have headed out and settled the argument before it began, but Guin was still pissed. Plastering on a fake and cheesy smile, Guin took back the list of chemicals and folded them up, sliding them away. She didn't care that Nina knew engineering science--she didn't want her help with this. "You know what? You're absolutely right! So I think we'll also need to get rid of the dirty untrustworthy skank," Guin added, faking a bit of a grimace. "It'd be fair, since we have no evidence that we can trust said ho and for all we know, this is just another elaborate ruse to steal classified information to give to the friendly neighborhood terrorists because of good intentions."

Guin then raised her now empty energy drink can to Nina, as if offering a toast, before storming out of the lab. Considering her opinion of Nina, that had been a relatively tame rant. It could've been much worse and likely would've been, if time wasn't of the essence. Guin made her way towards the room she shared with Marygold on occasion, having stashed her S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform and other gadgets there. It got a bit annoying to have to constantly take the things back and forth from NYC. The drive was starting to become more and more irritating by the day.

Heading into the room, Guin let out a bit of a huff. If it wasn't for S.H.I.E.L.D., Nina would've been rotting in a jail cell. She couldn't help but feel strongly about this, since it was a family matter. Her father would've felt the same way had someone done to her what Nina had done to him. Besides, it wasn't just anyone that made the Stark Industries 'Enemies List.' All individuals and companies that would have a reason to hurt either the company or a Stark was put on there. Most of the enemies had been made by Tony.

Changing quickly, Guin sat down on the bed for a moment, tempted to close her eyes and go to sleep. It was only morning and it already felt like it had been a long day.

October nodded, trying her best to keep from burning Carolina. Keenan had dropped to the ground dead and by now, the gunfire had to have been reported. They had already unintentionally ended up on O.M.E.N.'s radar that evening, there wasn't any reason to give more of a paper trail. October tried her best to sit up, her body burning hot. Carolina wouldn't be able to get too close to the girl without getting burned.

She tried to talk, but the pain was too much. It took a few shaky breaths before October was able to get any words at all out. "Sic Gorgiamus Allos Subjectatos Nunc," October whispered with a bit of a smile. Sweat was pouring down her face. It didn't matter that the wounds had been cauterized and the bleeding stopped, damage had already been done by the bullet. October was struggling to breathe and little wisps of blue flames ran up and down her body. Swallowing thickly, October knew that medical attention wasn't going to be an option.

"Kill them all," October whispered, before the flames vanished. Her head fell back against the pavement, blonde curls unkempt from all of the action. Her pulse came to a halt and to Carolina, someone experienced in astral projection, she could see a girl walking amongst the flames for a mere moment, throwing a wave towards Carolina before she disappeared.

She had been born on an October Morning and she died on a December Eve.

Most hunters would've been horrified at the sight of a werewolf. They tended to be black and white, perhaps no better than O.M.E.N. Unlike Aloise, they likely would've killed Olivia on the spot before returning to the barrier. But instead, the experienced hunter merely nodded and accepted it. As long as she didn't have any evidence that Olivia was harming innocents, then it wasn't her problem. Someone else could worry about that.

James' use of the flame will elicit a small reaction from the barrier. For a split second, they can see inside, able to get a brief glimpse of who is actually there. The glance into frozen time is small but it's enough to make Aloise's heart stop for just a moment. There were people in there that should be dead. People who had been buried in Owen's Field as a memorial after the Altsoba Massacre.

"Darren..." Aloise said, looking forward with confusion. What the hell was going on here? And where was Liam? She didn't see him inside the tent and she hadn't heard from him in a while. Hanson and Keenan weren't there as well. None of this was making any sense...

It wasn't a good omen.

December 28th, 2016 - Frozen Time

With each passing second, Andromeda's pulse becomes a little bit slower. Many of you are beginning to feel a bit light headed as well. It's becoming clear that whatever happened to time and reality, whatever damage you caused, it needs energy to fix it. And what better source of energy than the group of people gathered at the epicenter of the catastrophe? Time itself is draining your life force, making each action a little harder than the one before, and it won't stop. Unless, of course, you manage to escape...

"...I don't know where I am," the voice replied to Daniyal. "Where are you? I can't find you..."

Through Millicent's investigation of the general area, she'll notice something interesting about the stage. Towards the left side of it, there's what appears to be a door in the stage itself (as in, if you sit on the edge of the stage, your feet would hit this door). It's a rather odd thing to have, considering that this circus is mobile. Why go through the time and effort of having a stage that can be reassembled with a door? Why make it hollow like that? Wouldn't that be expensive?

With each addition of light, the barrier seems to be reacting more and more strongly. However, that doesn't stop the fainting sensation. Sitting herself down in one of the chairs, Cecily gasped and quickly pulled her hand away from the chair. Her hand was covered in what could only be described as liquid metal and a few tears fall from her eyes. "It's true, then..."

"The spotlights," Folly suggested, gaining a winning smile and clap on the back from Fairfax. He was incredibly proud of his descendent, unaware that she had murdered someone earlier that day. "Brilliant! That should be more than enough light to help in our escape! Its energy this barrier wants--it's energy it shall have!"

Update is coming now! I love you all so much that I decided to say "fuck you!" to my Science Education class homework and post. Once my post comes up, all counters are going to be reset as you all shouldn't be penalized for my tardiness. Also, if any bit of the post doesn't make sense...it's 12:21 AM. Just let me know and I'll fix it lol.
@Nallore@BlueSky44@FantasyChic@mnkee@Taro

Update will be Friday likely. Got a bit busy with schoolwork unexpectedly. If needed, I'll reset counters since this is a bit delayed. Putting myself on two day extension.
@Nallore@Witch Cat@Pundii@FantasyChic@BlueSky44

Update will be tomorrow evening, so I'm giving myself a two day extension just to be safe. Counters will be reset with the update to help those who are waiting on me - school has gotten incredibly hectic and the workload is piling up. I should be able to get it down to manageable levels by next week.
I will be working on Virginia's case tonight after I get through my work!
@Nallore Don't worry, it'll come soon :) and counters can be extended if needed
