Guinevere Stark

"Still, bit shocked you let me sleep on you," Guin commented with a laugh. She lifted her head up and stretched her arms out, letting out a yawn. Her hair felt horrible and for hardly the first time in her life, she contemplated chopping most of it off. It wasn't as long as it used to be, since she had gotten a haircut straight out of rehab, but it was still below her shoulders and she wanted to change that. She had this image of super short cute hair - like the girl in the Tron reboot - and it would be practical as well. She wouldn't need to carry around hair ties with her if she wanted to work in the lab or the garage, which was a big pain as she always seemed to be losing them.

Guin then shoved the blanket off of her and shook her legs out, trying to get all of the stiffness from sleeping on the couch out of her body. They had a big day ahead of them, one which she intended to fill with riding as many rides as she possibly could until she either died, puked, or the park closed - whichever came first. "So it's about an hour drive or whatever to get to Disneyland. I was thinking we could do Universal Studios today and hit Disney the next day, spend the night in a haunted hotel or something in L.A.?" Guin suggested to Lance, figuring she could convince Tony to go along with whatever she wanted.

"You couldn't plan your way out of a paper bag, Tony," Banner said, shaking his head. He was grateful for the change of subject and he took another sip of his coffee. He figured that Guin would've come up with something and convinced Lance of it. He didn't like the way Guin seemed to steamroll Lance sometimes, though he doubted Tony would do anything about it - Tony steamrolled people himself.

"I wouldn't mind an actual date, Iron Man," Pepper said with a smile.

"Oh, this is just fucking fantastic..." Guin muttered, getting brief flashbacks to the Invasion of New York. The Chitauri had done plenty of damage to the city, with civilian casualties being inevitable. And as much as she wanted to believe that O.M.E.N. wouldn't sent Sentinels after them into a populated area, they were the type of idiots that had lobbyists and excuses - meaning that she doubted they'd be held accountable for any lost lives. She heard Thalia's request to get rid of the remaining two Sentinels and Guin tried her best to hold her tongue. "Trying our best, Khaleesi," Guin said over the comm to Thalia. She couldn't help but grin, seeing one of the Sentinels she aimed at fall out of the sky.

"Yeah, Dad kinda banned me from the suits ever since he caught me and Pietro making out in a few of them," Guin admitted to Cassandra. "But - not too bad an idea. Hey, someone go wake up P.H.I.L. and tell him to contact J.A.R.V.I.S., see about activating the House Party Protocol," Guin shouted, hoping someone would snatch up her watch and do just that. It'd at least get a bunch of unpiloted Iron Man suits up in the air that could help to deal with the Sentinels - or at least any damage they caused. She didn't like the idea of debris falling from the sky and destroying her hometown - if New York City could be considered a town.

Dean glanced at Charlie, guessing that his fellow mutant didn't understand his exclamation. It was scary hot that Carolina had killed people before - he couldn't help but look at her slightly differently, as if she had just told him she was actually Black Widow. He got this mental image of Carolina doing a series of complicated jumps and tricks, before firing a single bullet through the head of ten faceless agents with no redeeming qualities. Of course, he also didn't like the implication that he had had a cushy life. He had just gotten his emotional trauma and scars in early. If he closed his eyes, he still remembered the police officers coming to the house, taking him and his sister away - and somehow explaining to two little kids that their parents were never coming home from a simple trip to the grocery store.

He then stared at Richard, listening to him for a moment but it was clear that it went in one ear and out the other. Everyone there just seemed to want to be afraid - but they had just met Quicksilver from the Future! and were flying to Stark fucking Tower! They were about to meet Iron Man! And while Dean knew that he should have been terrified about his life and his own mortality, he strangely wasn't. It could have been symptoms of denial or plain teenage ignorance, but in a way it just felt like a dream. He'd met the Hulk's son! What was next? Black Widow's secret twin sister? "Kinda doubt anything is going to stop him from doing well in the polls....at least he's not Trump, though," Dean commented with a shrug.

Folly looked at Future Pietro, giving him a slight smile before her eyes seemed to look past him as the voices grew even more talkative. She could practically smell the smoke from Wolverine's cigar and she wasn't even sure at this point if he really was a hallucination. He easily could have been real. She knew that she was supposed to tell someone when she had trouble knowing if she was hallucinating or not, but she didn't want to add another problem to the list. "Don't worry Folly. Remember, it has been 10 years since you've seen me, but to her it has been a few years since you were out of the hospital, but I still visit you constantly, whenever I can anyway." Folly bit her lip and nodded at the Mary hallucination. Her eyes started to water slightly. She missed Mary so much. She had been one of the few people willing to take a chance on the insane Gypsy girl that arrived at the mansion seeking help.

"Look kid, keep your head up, and help end this thing for all of us." Folly nodded again at Wolverine, convinced that the hallucination had just ruffled her hair but there was no one there. She dried her eyes, not wanting to cry here and cause problems. Future Pietro looked at her and pulled her in for a hug. "Do you think the people we left behind are okay?" she whispered to him, still seeing the Mary hallucination standing right in front of her.

Future Pietro nodded. "I'm positive they are fine."

"....Are you worried about your wife?"

"Yeah, I am... But what I'm fighting for here is for her and everyone else."

"...She's very loud here..." Folly said softly, glancing at the two manning the weapons consoles.

"Yeah... She is... But I was also a different person here too..."

"Is that bad?"

"I wouldn't say it is bad... Just different..."

"...Are you going to tell her?" Folly then asked quietly, still just watching the girl. She didn't know Pietro's wife before she had developed PTSD. She was familiar with the engineer that hardly ever slept, working ungodly hours to produce the best tech from whatever scraps of material they had left around. She then glanced at the daggers, remembering the slightly haunted look in the eyes of her 'brother's' wife after she had finished them.

"Tell her what?"

"That you marry her and stuff, Palla Latchi...." Her thoughts flickered towards the pregnancy.

"...Pretty sure she knows about the marriage... The other thing no, I'm not going to tell her..."

"....Do you think you'll still marry her in this timeline?"

"I don't know, I hope so though."

Nora Kingston

Location: Garden City Sitting Room
Skills: Intuition, Deduction

Nora smiled, nodding in agreement as Lady Munn praised the Koch Snowflake. She did imagine that mathematics must have been the language of the universe, that if everything was reduced to its simplest terms it would just be a network of numbers and equations. She then considered Neema's words, finding that there were points that almost seemed at odds with what Neema had told her earlier. She recalled Neema explaining that Nora had to protect the Bastet and seek them out - which Nora had deduced to be Lady Munn and the others receiving necklace brandings - and now, it appeared that Bastet was protecting them. Nora thought more on the slight contradiction, taking note of the words that Neema referred to.

The Re Vikn stood out to her in particular. She could not help but imagine some sort of cosmic puzzle. Perhaps it was just something of occult or religious significance, but Nora knew that faith could be incredibly powerful. Many chose to ignore facts and logic in favor of the divine. And yet on the other hand, if mathematics truly did provide the foundation of the universe, they may very well have just been introduced to calculus. And while Nora did not wish to rely on a spiritual explanation for these events, perhaps there was no reason it had to be in opposition with logic. Magic was simply science that was not yet understood, was it not?

"Thank you for imparting your wisdom, Neema," Nora said softly, giving her a kind smile. She had every intention of retiring to her own rooms here at Garden City. Perhaps as she tried to fall asleep, she'd talk over everything she learned with Spot. He was a horrible listener, but Nora found that just whispering the information to him allowed her to notice new patterns and connections.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: 052 Forrester Drive

Jenna nodded, a bit irritated but also not surprised that her cousin hadn't opened up the letter. She and Finley were the amateur investigators in this town, though Jenna fully intended on making her dream a reality. She'd get out of this town, officially change her name to what her father intended for her - Jenna Rydzynski - and go into business as a private investigator. Jason and Lydia were the only members of her family that she'd bother letting have her number. Everyone else could go to hell as far as Jenna was concerned.

"I'm going to go check out the evidence locker," Jenna announced, grabbing her bag. She was about to walk out by herself when she sighed, feeling Tony brush at her heels. He wanted to come with her. She nodded at her dog, grabbing his leash and clipping it onto his collar. "You're welcome to come if you want to, Lyd," Jenna said as she stepped out the door, waiting a few minutes to see if her cousin and her stolen child/cat would be joining her on the walk to the police station. Jenna just hoped Tony would growl at any of her "friends" that they saw so they'd know to stay away.

Guinevere Stark

Guin woke up on the couch in the living room, her head resting on Lance's shoulder. They had been watching Star Wars late last night at the house in Malibu, with Tony explaining that they couldn't have marathons in Guin's room. The compromise had been the living room, but she must have fallen asleep towards the start of the Force Awakens, she reasoned, given that she didn't remember watching the ending. Of course, she glanced over at Lance and chuckled a bit. "You let me use you as a pillow all night?" she asked, before finding a blanket on top of her. "What a proper gentleman you are."

"She slept on the couch with Lance last night," Pepper told Tony and Banner, as she made herself coffee in the kitchen. Banner frowned a bit, but he didn't say too much. He knew that Tony and Pepper were trying to get their kids together, but he wasn't sure if Guin was a good influence on his kid. But then again, Lance hated him - so who was he to be a judge of who was good for Lance or not?

"You should see about setting them up together - it'd be cute," Pepper mused. Her phone started to buzz and she pulled it out, letting out a sigh. There had been a board meeting called that would begin in the next ten minutes, meaning that she'd have to head out. She loved her job, but she definitely had to have a word with her assistant about not forgetting to put things on her calendar this much. "I'll be back for dinner - impromptu board meeting," she explained, giving Tony a kiss. "Try not to cause our stock prices to dip too much before I'm back, will you?" she added with a wink, before she grabbed her bag and headed over to the elevator, going down to the R&D floors that the company operated on.

"Hey, video games aren't all about winning you know - and most of the fun in Kirby Air Ride is just driving around," Guin pointed out. "But we could see about picking up one neither of us has played before...I do think the Game Cube is the only console worth using, but I guess we could grab a Wii too while we're at the store and get one of the new games they put out for it. I'd suggest Just Dance but I know you're opposed to playing a fabulous game that has amazing song choices."

Present Day - The Castle: December 21st, 12,507 - 12:45 PM

Rowland frowned. "That was not Magyk, Cuyler," Rowland mumbled, rising to his feet. He closed his eyes for a moment and began to Sense the Magyk in the air around them. It was unchanged - the wards he and Arya had crafted were still intact. Whatever happened to the Princess-in-Waiting, it was not a wizard or a witch that was responsible. His prejudice might have caused him to blame Alchemie, yet he doubted they had any Elixir that would perform such a feat. "I do not know who might have done such a thing...yet I dread what this means for the Castle. For something so dreadful to happen after the Queste has been renewed, a witch is crowned Queen, and in the wake of Queen Meliscente's death...The sun may finally be setting upon the Castle."

Arya had similar thoughts to her mentor, as she stood at the front of the crowd. She too could not Sense any damage to the precautions that they had taken - but there was no denying that something had happened to Princess Luna. Once the impossible was eliminated, whatever remained, however improbable, had to be true. If Magyk could not have caused Princess Luna's abduction, the answer would have to remain elsewhere. "This threat appears to be immune to my Magyk," Arya told Lyra calmly. "I do not believe it is of this land...I have never seen anything quite like it."

She pursed her lips slightly as Atkin chucked a pillow in the face of their new Queen, yet she said nothing of it. She was far more fixated on Valda's utterance of a name - Malekith. She had not heard such a name before, yet she knew the power held within a name. It would require Darke Magyk in order to use it to hold the subject there - something that was against the principles of the office of ExtraOrdinary Wizard. Arya was about to have an internal dilemma over the use of Darke Magyk for the greater good when Asha the Magykal stepped forward, her eyes glowing a soft purple that matched the stone around her neck.

"H’tikelam, I Call you," Asha declared. Names were a powerful thing in Darke Magyk, holding power over the individual. Many of the best necromancers refused to give their true name, instead using a false one. With the first name, that is enough to construct what the Darke name would be. Asha, the strongest and most talented at Magyk in her country - and the world as well - had no difficulty in Calling Malekith to come approach them at the stage.

"Good work, girls," Nera whispered to the twins. She then looked with concern as she heard Asha Call Malekith and her blood ran cold. Fortunately, she spotted Fleur a moment later and she looked at her for direction. They had Princess Luna held captive at their home - did they abandon Malekith and take the Princess as their prize? Or did they remain and fight for him, at the risk of losing a potential member of their Coven?

Myrus held his head in his hands, taking deep shuddering breaths as he bit down on the inside of his lip. He heard Gwydion Puck get up and whistle, motioning for his troops to move in. They had finished their travel to the Palace in the midst of the ceremony and had been waiting respectfully on the edge of the grounds. "Do not worry, my Queen, I shall see to it that your sister is returned safely to you - my deputy hunter is the best there has been in centuries," he assured Valda. He knew that even though Asha had Called the man forward, his deputy hunter would be able to extract the information they needed to see to Luna's safety.

"What is it, Prince Myrus?" Emperor Taj asked, hearing the prince yelp. "It's n-nothing...." Myrus mumbled, staring at his hands. Emperor Taj paused before he nodded. "I understand this is a time of great stress for you - but my sister will see that Princess Luna is returned safely and the man responsible, this Malekith, apprehended."

"She was adorable at that age," Pepper mused. She glanced across the room at Guin and Lance, smirking a bit as she dropped her voice. "Do you think she likes him, Tony?" Pepper asked. She hardly saw Guin hanging out with friends other than Lance, though she knew there were a few other boys at school that Guin tended to team up with for group projects. Of course, those groups always included Lance Banner in them. It would have been rather cute, in Pepper's opinion, if they ended up together. Plus, Lance seemed to be a good influence on her.

"You need to strut, Lando," Guin said, rolling her eyes. "Make a choice for once in your lifetime. But since I am wearing the pants in this friendship, then we're going to marathon Star Wars and then play a tournament against each other of Kirby Air Ride. Maybe even a pillow fight too for old time's sake - and I won't even sneak in my blaster this time, so it'll be completely fair."

Virginia Crypt

Location: Nottingham
Skills: None

Virginia was glad to hear that she was of an accord with Elizaveta when it came to the potential for contacting the Church. It would only hinder their progress in the long run, as it would both take time to send word back and increase the rate at which they were pursued. By giving them a location, they would have the Circus chasing after them in no time, knowing precisely where to go and where they were headed. A dramatic chase, while it would have been delightful, was not what they needed to save Millicent from a fate that Virginia found too gruesome to comprehend. It was one that the Deborah's of the world would have enjoyed, with their pastels and normalcy.... She shuddered slightly at the thought.

"Of course, perhaps the Chankoowashtay or Sokw will allow us to locate Millicent," Virginia said softly, giving Elizaveta a slight smile. She then glanced at the boy who was staring at the tiger with shock and she could not help but smile. Children were wonderful at times - with so much potential and curiosity. Yet she was truly just seeing her brother in the child's eyes, remembering his excitement at meeting the tiger just yesterday evening. It was a time of open mindedness that most of society seemed to lose by the time they came of age - and for that, Virginia could not help but pity them. They restricted themselves to a world without wonder.

Maeve Brennan

Location: Inn in Annan
Skills: Deception

The young woman reminded Maeve of her sister, Niamh, and she couldn't help but smile slightly. She couldn't quite place her finger as to why - though she imagined it was likely that she was just searching for her loved ones in the faces of strangers. She wondered how Niamh was getting along, knowing that she was going to be marrying her fiancé soon. It was still a little difficult to swallow that sweet Niamh had fallen in love with a British soldier - but it couldn't be helped. The heart was a fickle thing and never made choices based on logic, at least in Maeve's experience. Maeve was about to nod that the tray would suffice when Lady Kirkpatrick came and contradicted such a claim in full.

She had to hold her tongue as she heard Lady Kirkpatrick's list of demands, thankful that her face had not been angled as to allow Lady Kirkpatrick to see her full expression. Maeve had grown up poor and even after marrying into the Brennan gang, her life was hardly easy. She had to work for everything that she had - she didn't have a title bestowed upon her just because of her birth and marrying Ciaran hadn't been a fairytale. While she didn't doubt she and her husband had been soulmates, they were best as friends.

"Not yet, me lady. The fatheh might be occupied knockin' over a stable," Maeve quipped, turning to face Lady Kirkpatrick as well. She didn't know if Lady Kirkpatrick wished for her to sit or remain standing.
