Scott Rydzynski

Location: Pike's Place - Seattle, Washington
Interacting With: Isley and the Kids

"I can't decide which one of you two are the ugly princess," Scott groaned, looking at Isley and Jace. "Janelle is obvious the sweet and precious one. One of you is the ugly one and the other is the dumbass - just a matter of time to know which is which," he commented, crossing his arms. He then nodded, hearing the kids' description of the man. "Yeah, that's the asshole," Scott confirmed with a grunt.

His fists tightened as Janelle confirmed that Scott had been at her place. She and Jace were identified then as being...what the fuck were they? Mutants like the comics? Just freaks? Whatever the word was, Scott knew the plot of enough movies to figure out the best case scenario was ending up locked away by scientists for study. "Look, in case you guys don't get how this works, someone figured out what we are - am I the only one worried about that? If there's some fucker going around killing us, how long until he shows up at your place and fucking decapitates you three? A day? A week maybe? A month?"

He glanced around, not noticing anything suspicious. "Change of plans. We're getting out of town, now."

Jia Li

{"When it rains, it pours..."}

"I'll buy you all time," Jia Li said without hesitation. Her bending was back and she knew that while she couldn't fight off all of the guards for long, she would at least give her companions enough time for those with hurt ankles and legs to make some decent progress. She turned around and breathed in, feeling the fire in her veins just bursting to come free. The sunlight was strengthening her. It was one of the places where she wished she had learned the breath of fire technique - perhaps another day.

The guards didn't notice her begin to sweep her foot, her hand going down to the ground to balance as both of her legs went into the air. She let out a bit of a scream to help her channel her power. The flames emerged from her legs in a large sweeping fan, catching the guards and injuring them badly. It would be more than enough, she hoped, to give the others time to escape. "...Finally, about time our luck turned," Jia Li murmured. She was ready for them to retaliate.

Nora Kingston

Location: The Ferry - Elite Deck (Lauren's Rooms)
Skills: Deduction, Intuition, Acute Observation
"I am sorry you missed dinner, I had assumed someone would have contacted you to join us on the second deck but I was mistaken," Nora apologized earnestly. She found Lord Major's dubbing of them being a Fellowship to be a bit odd - especially considering that some members had different ties to it. She and Josephine had both been branded originally, followed by Mosi and the other fellow. Some had had necklaces branded. Others had just experienced awful dreams. And if Neema was right, Nora feared they were going to be pit against one another in some way. What Fellowship was that?

"Yes, I do...I know this scent..." Nora frowned. It was extremely annoying, knowing that she knew what this was but being unable to identify it. At any rate, given that Lauren hadn't expected her belongings to smell like this, Nora came to the conclusion that perhaps someone had entered her room. "...Do you think someone might have come in here and caused this smell?" Nora asked, going over to the door to look at the lock and see if anything was amiss again.

Gene Benaszewski

Location: The Ferry - Elite Deck (Lady Munn's Rooms) --> Sun Deck
Skills: Quick Study
Gene raised an eyebrow at Vera before she smirked slightly. It was nice to have someone defer to her expertise - even if her expertise was being more knowledgable in the nitty gritty ways of the world than someone of the British Ton. Some people back home could, in her opinion, do well to remember that she actually knew things that they didn't. "I can figure it out, I'm a quick study," Gene explained to Lady Munn. She led her through the deck and took a few wrong turns, getting turned around and having to pause for a moment, before she finally made her way to the bridge.

Now, Gene would have gone and reported the crime herself but she figured it was best that Lady Munn did it. She hadn't said anything when Vera secured the crime scene. Sure, they had messed it up and removed items, but Gene was confident that it wasn't too terribly disturbed. At the very least, no one would come in and commit another act of robbery - or it was highly unlikely. Why return to the scene of the crime and steal something again? It hadn't looked like they were in a hurry or anything. "Here, the Bridge - we can report the break in here," Gene explained.

Walnut's eyes widened slightly and she laughed slightly despite her better judgment. The man was without a tongue - and she had no doubt it was due to his employers, the Shadowell. The treatment of servants spoke volumes of their employers, something that Walnut was personally familiar with. She then raised an eyebrow at Titian's rather simple and basic humor. "You have the air of a father," she mused to him. She made a mental note not to say I am hungry to him unless she wished to be greeted with a Hi Hungry, I'm Titian in response.

Unfortunately, she doubted that the servant could read and write. Not very many people could, which would make questions and communication difficult. "Are you willing to answer some yes or no questions?" Walnut asked, ignoring the dinner bell. She could eat when she was ready to in her mind and this was much more interesting. If she asked the correct questions, she could learn vital information about this household and perhaps why they had been taken here. Though she did doubt this servant's tongue was on the menu - his stub had looked to her like it wasn't fresh. He certainly would have been displaying a lot more pain if it was.

Jack Newnan

Location: Wewahitchka B7 -> C8
Skills: N/A

Jack stood next to his wife, looking on at his son with sympathy. His mother had told him about how hard it was to raise a child on her own, and that had been with modern technology and conveniences and friends that could babysit without a worry of walkers coming in through the door. He couldn't imagine how Tatiana had gotten through the apocalypse with Jamie, even now it was a struggle and they were in a large group. He wasn't going to press her about what she had done to survive. When she was ready to share, she'd share and not before.

He glanced upwards, hearing a thumping noise. Despite his police background, Jack couldn't fathom what it was. "What the?" he muttered, worried for his family and also worried it would upset Jamie more. Loud noises and getting snot suctioned out of his nose? It didn't sound like fun for the little guy. He then heard Amelia and he shook his head. "No idea...Doubt it's anythin' good," he admitted.

Then came Ash's booming voice and Jack winced a bit. He had to resist his urge to shout back Jamie ain't feelin' well! Quiet down! but he knew Ash was right. They needed to get a move on. They had rescued Tatiana - or really, Tatiana had rescued herself - and they were almost to the meet up point with Ash's love, Thana. Then there was the word that caused Jack's eyes to widen - huey? He could have pinched himself. Someone had a working helicopter out here?? He grabbed his own pack and then picked up Jamie's bag, ready to give it to Tatiana once she got up. He gave her a slight smile, and once the pack was taken care of, Jack followed Ash's orders for the two by two cover and emerged outside, following after his commander and ready to rumble.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Wewahitchka B4 -> C4
Skills: N/A

They had made it to Wewahitchka last night and although Beatrice hadn't voiced it to anyone, she couldn't help but wonder whether heading to Mexico Beach was futile or not. Thana was gone - dead or deserted. She was the only one remaining in their group that had a connection to Newnan and the people she cared for from that settlement were gone. It was a bit like pinning all of your hopes and dreams on a high school that you transferred to for just a semester, when all of your friends from the school had been killed in overdoses and driving accidents.

The house they were holed up in for now reminded her of a phrase she had heard in college: maximizing minimalism. It still seemed a bit like a contradiction, but still, she had to admit it fit. The house was striped bare. As Thalia shook her awake, Beatrice blinked her eyes open and looked at her friend. "What happens in three months? Do we unlock a secret level of the apocalypse?" she asked with a thin smile. She knew the goal was Mexico Beach - and it may very well take them three months to get there. She was just having private doubts that the goal was worthwhile or that they'd find anything helpful there, anything that would make the journey worth it. Getting up, Beatrice quickly got herself prepared for the day.

She nodded at Manny's suggestion, searching the store for supplies. More medical supplies was always a good idea with this group. With two amputees and someone getting up there in age, Beatrice felt a bit of pressure to make sure they were ready for just about anything. She wasn't just a part of this group of people anymore - she felt responsible for them. The peg leg for Alex had helped and Thalia had an arm substitution as well, but neither of them were perfect. "Agreed - we need to move. The last thing we want is to add back pain from sleeping on the floor in this house to our list of problems to solve," Beatrice quipped slightly.

"...Helicopter?" Beatrice's mind went back to the tank for a moment. Where were people finding these vehicles anyways? Was there some sort of apocalypse store that was giving them out with a loan? "Everyone, come on, we're moving," Beatrice said. She went over and offered Manny a hand if he needed it to get himself ready. She didn't like the idea of chasing after the helicopter and leaving anyone behind. Once that was done, Beatrice then stepped outside with Thalia, holding her crossbow at the ready.

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Kitchen House
Skills: N/A

Andromeda instantly paled slightly - which was impressive, given how pale she already was. The strangers were interested in Peter's grave? It instantly set off alarm bells. With every ability she had heard of so far and her previous life, she was willing to bet that necromancy could be a thing. However, it was troubling to her that they knew of the existence of the grave in the first place. He had died in Ville Au Campe on a day that technically hadn't even happened due to the loop. And as far as records went, he had died somewhere and some when else when. The anxiety just that revelation gave her felt like ants crawling all over her skin. "No, that's not our first question," Andromeda told James.

"It shouldn't be why they're interested in Peter's grave - it should be how they even know it exists," she pointed out. Management was concerning as well, but at least that much she could think of some logical explanations for. "We live in a time loop. Peter died ages ago - but it's still on this day. So how on earth would they know about his grave?" she pointed out. "I think once we figure out how they know about it...we'll understand them a lot better. Management sounds like an Evelina type figure to me." She then took a sip of the coffee James made for her and gave him a slight smile of thanks.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Airport Lounge --> Main Area Where Roy and Gavin Are
Skills: Deduction

Cecily was a bit confused at first - hadn't she heard Lincoln say that he hadn't told Natasha's best friend yet? Perhaps he didn't mean about her death - he could have meant he hadn't told him that he had landed in Chicago already. She wasn't able to pick up anything about Lincoln that would make her think that he was lying, but then he mentioned a security company with blade in the name - Machete Security Solutions she was pretty right. (Or was it Security Services?) She supposed it shouldn't have been surprising to know that MSS was in Chicago, but it was unnerving as well. All of the same players in Justice seemed to be here too.

"Alright, thank you," Cecily told Lincoln. She noticed the awkward mismatched couple of Gavin and Roy. Both of them looked like they were ready to go and since Lincoln had paid - and Cecily hadn't really gotten anything - she nodded and headed over to her companions. Could she trust Gavin? She wasn't too sure she could trust anyone but...he seemed to be nice. Was that enough for her to share information with? "What you said about Natasha matched what Lincoln told me," Cecily told Gavin softly.

"...Where to now, Roy?"

Leda Storm

Location: Thalia's Tree

Leda raised an eyebrow, looking at the daughter of Athena. "Last I checked, the outskirts designated for running isn't the middle of camp - and I am careful," Leda said plainly. She then huffed as Zeke dismissed her legitimate concern. People trying to trip her while she ran was more of a problem for them - if she hadn't jumped over their leg when they tried to trip her, they could have had their bones shattered. She shrugged off the concern over whether or not she was alright. She was fine, honestly. "Thanks for the ambrosia," she said though, eating a small piece. It tasted like fudge to her.

She tended to heal relatively quickly, her arm glowing with rainbow light near the mild sprain. Thanks to the ambrosia however, she was healed right up. "I think I'm good now. But seriously Zeke - next time you try to trip me, I am not throwing myself into a tree to keep you from getting hurt," Leda warned, before she walked to the Cabin semicircle. She needed to do some upkeep on the shrines that day, ensure that they all had proper offerings and whatnot.

Veil

Location: Mutant Underground - D.C. Station
Skills: Leadership, Perception
Veil shook her head slightly at Spark Plug. It was a good question and they were lucky - the apartment complex they were going to couldn't afford security guards. "No guards and as long as we make good time, we should be able to get there before the Purifiers... Police in the area are likely getting paid under the table, so I don't think they'll show up until after the Purifiers go through there," Veil explained. "However, we should be prepared for a small force of Purifiers - no more than a dozen or so at worst."

"I like where your brain's at, Spark Plug, but my heart belongs to the mutant mistress of magnetism - HEY OW!" Havok swore, as Sapphire gave him a vicious case of frostbite. He tried to just shake it off and if there was one thing Havok hated, it was being cold. Veil was starting to get a headache from all of this. Could people not stop acting like children for one second? She took a deep breath to focus herself.

"Sapphire, Havok, if you two can't behave, then decide which one of you will be staying behind and swap out with Cannonball," Veil said bluntly. "The rest of you, head to the cars. We can take one to get there." Veil then nodded as Colossus motioned for people to follow him, turning out of his steel form as he grabbed a plate of food and ate it quickly, before going to the garage. They had a bunch of old junkers in there and Colossus squeezed himself into the driver's seat of one of them.

"Sorry, Dairy Queen," Havok said with a sigh, before following after Colossus. On his way, Veil stuck out her hand and the ground shimmered, tripping Havok. She smirked slightly and whistled innocently as she went into the shotgun seat of the car, leaving Havok, Spark Plug, and Sapphire to take the back.

Sunshine

Location: Millennium Plaza
Skills: People Reading, Street Smarts, Greek
"Vâng, cô ấy là rác đường phố đột biến," one of the nail artists said, as Leighton's nails were finally finished up. Another one glanced up and raised an eyebrow, seemingly a bit surprised at the first.

"Làm thế nào bạn có thể nói cô ấy là một dị nhân?" the second one asked.

"Tôi có một món quà cho biết ai là người đột biến. Đoán nó trong gen của tôi," the first replied, laughing and not realizing the irony of what she had just said. She motioned for Leighton to follow her and she rang her up at the front, giving her a 10% discount due to the original error on the French tip. There was a reason they were highly rated - excellent customer service. There was also a little jar with mints in it that customers could take and that helped as well.

Meanwhile outside of the shop, Sunshine rolled her eyes as someone advised her to be careful, that someone might see. "Na eísai prosektikós," she said with a sigh. She had half a mind to give him a major headache with her powers, but she caught the people in the nail salon staring at her and she moved forward quickly. The Subway was definitely her end game goal, but still, the guy had irritated her and while she was starving, Sunshine was still a vindictive bitch.

She entered the comic book store, the bell jingling to announce her. The woman behind the counter glanced up and gave her a smile. "The Archie stuff is in the back," she said and Sunshine nodded, heading there - only to find Gray hiding behind a bookshelf where no one could see. "You look really dumb," Sunshine said, crossing her arms as she stared at him.

Down the street inside the Subway, it wasn't too busy even though it was lunchtime rush. There were two employees on duty and a young woman with a blonde ponytail smiled, looking at James as he came inside. "What bread?" she asked, getting ready to serve him. There was a group of four men sitting in the back corner, chowing down on some footlongs.

Guin Stark

Location: Chemical Laboratory - First Sub-Basement
Skills: Electronics and Computers, Engineering Design, Mechanics

Guin blinked a bit as Annie came into the room. She was a bit of a daft one at times - more so in terms of social context than anything else. Glancing down at the plate, she had to fight the urge to groan. "No, those aren't mine. They're that prick Richard's," she answered. Guin arched an eyebrow and gave Lance an are you kidding me look as Annie warned him about the glass by his hands. To make matters worse, she pulled out her phone and saw a frankly disgusting text from Richard that also demonstrated his lack of understanding of basic English.

"I said fuck off, bastard, not fuck me," she muttered under her breath. She nodded slightly at Lance. Not only was she pissed at her dad now, she was angry with Richard as well. "Yeah, my dad is being a major pain in the ass too now - wait till you hear what he did," she told Lance, walking over to one of the computers in the chemical lab. She ran a hand through her hair as she worked and while it took her a bit to get the script how she wanted it, the end result was perfect.

Guin smirked slightly as she looked at her phone and put it away. Richard would likely figure out what she had done soon enough. It was an intricate system she had crafted but essentially, any piece of technology Richard tried to use would buffer, crash, and die completely on him. They would work for other people, just not Richard. "Hope you love the blue screen of death, asshat," she muttered under her breath.

Dean Kesseli

Location: Parlor Room - Ground Floor --> Patio - Outside
Skills: Endurance, Superhuman Agility

Dean was understandably jumpy, with the way Ayita was acting and Mary didn't even seem to care, just muttering to herself about some reporter Beast liked. While he could have been way more terrified, Dean managed to mostly stand his ground. His heart was beating rapidly and he knew that Ayita was toying with him, as frightening as that was. It brought back to him the stories about how she had killed a Brotherhood member in cold blood, ripping the woman's neck open - or something like that anyways.

"What the fucking hell is wrong with you?!" Dean snapped. His hands were shaking slightly as he looked around the room, his eyes darting between Mary and Ayita. "Do you think that's funny - acting like you're about to kill someone?! Goddamn it, Ayita, you're going to give someone a heart attack! I get you think this stuff is cool and all but really, it's barbaric!" Dean snapped. He was pacing back and forth, but thanks to his agility it almost looked like the rapid darting in an anima with the afterimage effect.

"Just...just leave me the hell alone, okay?! I mean it, you come near me again and I quit!" He looked at Mary, making sure she had heard that, and Dean sped out of the room, not stopping until he was outside. His hands were shaking and looked like they were vibrating.

Neil Spellman

Location: Library - Ground Floor
Skills: Dungeons and Dragons Mechanics, Perception

Neil nodded at what Mira said - Carolina needed to roll for initiative first. However, given that Sara and Mira both rolled terribly, he wouldn't have been surprised if she did end up going first in marching order anyways. He rolled for the THEM as the notecard on the table labeled them and got an 18. "Man, these wolves must be aggressive..." Neil said, putting Mira's notecard in last and Sara's in front. He then waited for Carolina to roll. He then flashed Sara a smile, noting what she had said but he couldn't do much until Carolina did her initiative.

He heard the sound of the engines and having lived in New York, he was used to the noises quinjets made with the Avengers flying all over the place. However, it sounded different and as he glanced out the window, it looked different too. He then glanced up as Mira said that she was going to go look at it and Neil couldn't help but be curious...though he didn't really want to draw attention to himself. "Um, yeah, I mean we can take a break...if you guys want to..." he said softly.
