Jack Newnan

Location: Wewahitchka C8 -> D8
Skills: N/A

Jack could have sworn his heart ceased beating, waiting for the judgment on their baby boy. If Jamie couldn't come to the settlement or was threatened in any way, he fully intended to grab his kid and his wife and get out of dodge. He'd rather die with them than live without them. There would be no more separations. Wherever they were, no matter what, would be where Jack would find himself. He then let out a breath and felt his heart restart. They had a doctor there who could help Jamie, make sure that he got better.

Then, his eyes widened and his jaw dropped slightly - the damn cat was alive! "How the hell did he even end up here..." he whispered, the question mostly posed to himself. He doubted that Schrodinger would suddenly have developed the ability to answer it, at any rate. He was going to comply with their requests. His heart ached a bit at the thought of surrendering everything - he had ballet slippers and a copy of Jamie's footprints on him, those things had sentimental value - but he figured that these people would give them back. And as long as Jamie and Tatiana were okay, then he was content.

Jack made sure his safety was on the gun, before he set it down gently, along with his backpack. He then set down Jamie's bag. "Uh, this one...It has the little guy's stuff in it," he explained. He kept his wedding ring on his finger. He stood next to his wife and little one, hoping for the best.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Wewahitchka C5 -> D7
Skills: N/A

"Does that make us spit sisters?" Beatrice quipped to Thalia, hearing about her supposed escapades of spitting in their mouths. She then nodded at Thalia's plan. If it was Navy's people, then they could finally get those who needed a more permanent location to shelter. She half wondered if the supposed dead woman would turn up here, having made her way to Mexico Beach on her own. If Thana was alive, Beatrice couldn't blame her for leaving them - they were more of a liability than a help. She could blame her, however, for not having enough inner strength to be honest about it.

She then sighed a bit as Thalia ran off, duck still attached. Apparently Thalia did need help when it came to disarming a rubber duck. "Come on," Beatrice then said, as Thalia shouted that it was safe. She walked with the two men down the road, going at a fast pace but not too quick for Alex to have problems keeping up. Thalia had run ahead and that was fine, but she didn't want one of the guys to get left behind and end up in some sort of tight spot.

Beatrice then recognized Ash whom Thalia had run up to - the leader of the Newnan settlement. Some people had made it out of that disaster alive, then. She had been almost certain that the casualties would have been massive. It seemed she had been wrong - or at least, partially correct. There were some survivors.

"This is our best shot for group survival," Beatrice then told the others. She set down her bow and her pack, surrendering all of her supplies and weapons and whatnot - even the O's. She would get Thalia and the boys to safety. Whether she would stay with them after that... Well, she wasn't too certain.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Airport
Skills: N/A

Cecily put her things in the trunk of Roy's car, listening to what he said. As she shut the trunk, she couldn't help but feel a bit paranoid. Roy had a new partner from New York - sure, maybe that was safe but maybe it wasn't. Whatever was happening in Justice, it didn't seem to stop at the city limits. Could Roy's new partner be involved somehow? Would Roy even know, given his membership in the group? She glanced around one last time, wishing that this wasn't her life. She couldn't deal with being paranoid all of the time. She wanted her boring, normal life back.

Cecily took a breath and a beat, before she got into the shotgun seat of the car. "How'd you manage this? Even I know this car is nice," Cecily asked Roy. At the mention of Riley, Cecily smiled slightly - but it wasn't an entirely warm and carefree one. Instead, she looked tired - like someone smiling after waking up from a nightmare and hearing some good news. The image of Natasha dead on the ground was etched into her brain and she knew that after this was all over, she'd need therapy - if she could even trust a therapist to confide in.

"So your partner... Is she someone we can trust?"

The Playground - Location Classified: August 30th, 2020 - 9:45 P.M.

@BlueSky44: The Wasp held up a hand, signaling for Sparky to wait for a moment. She then walked forward, looking at the broken Asgardian. The Wasp then reached into the bag she had attached to her armor, pulling out what looked to be straps of leather and she started wrapping Raynor with them. She tore his clothing and used it to supplement the strips, until she had stopped the bleeding for the most part. However, Raynor's pulse was slowing down and his heart was continuing to fail. He needed something to restart it - perhaps a spark.

Dominika Novikova

Location: the Playground - Dining
Skills: N/A

Hawkeye shook his head slightly, looking at Tempest for a moment. He felt she was selling herself a little short. "Even if they left a backdoor open for you, I doubt just anyone could have found it and used it - don't sell yourself short, Agent Renoir," he told her calmly. He gave her the slightest smile - in a way, her modesty reminded him a little bit of a friend of his, Dr. Banner. His other friend good with tech? Yeah, that guy was not modest at all. Tony always had to have applause.

Barton then nodded in agreement with Abercrombie. He was glad to have her as his second in command. She was capable and intelligent. "We need to clear out. We can secure the Playground and seal it off as we leave - but I think our best bet right now is the jet. It's been refueled and is ready to go - and since you're right, Kennedy probably knows about Creed Financial, the sooner we hit them, the better the chance we have."

Novikova bit her lip slightly. For someone who could see other realities and versions of a person, she had been pretty blind to the possibility that Jim had been the mole. "What about Sparky - Agent Sparks, I mean? If we abandon this base, we're abandoning the resources and tech here that could help us save them! They're trapped!"

Hawkeye looked at her in silence for a moment. "I'm sorry, Agent. We will bring them home - but right now, that's not our priority. Grab everything essential and let's meet on the jet. I'll have the base go into permanent lockdown."

"...We're doing everything we can, Novikova."

"No, we're not!" Novikova snapped. She then left the dining area, grabbing her things and she then headed to the hangar to get onto the jet as instructed.

Scott Rydzynski

Location: Pike's Place - Seattle, Washington
Interacting With: Isley and the Kids

"Yes, you can kid. If you stay here, you're dead. If Trevor can find you so quickly, what's to say that murderer won't do the same?" Scott reasoned. He couldn't care less what Isley was saying and basically was flat out ignoring her. If she wanted his protection, he would protect her - but otherwise, he couldn't care less what she decided to do. However, his attention was caught as he saw a figure nearby. "Damn it. Wait here - if I'm not back in a few minutes, leave and get out of town."

He then ran in the direction of the alley, hoping to catch the figure and he wasn't about to take any chances. He pulled one of his pistols and got off a shot, but he missed and by the time he was there, the figure had vanished into thin air. "Shit!" Scott cursed, not putting his gun down as he looked around, wanting to see if anyone else was there or if the figure would reappear. He had a gut feeling that he had just seen the killer.

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Kitchen House
Skills: N/A

More and more questions, fewer and fewer answers. The news that these people were incredibly close to Emendators and like a cousin to Paradoxes made Andromeda feel more and more uneasy. It had been a family affair that had gotten her to Cirque Anomaly and caused her death - now, here she was, in another paranormal circus dealing with family issues and problems, just a new family this time around. Was it some sort of cosmic joke? Was this somehow a super in depth virtual reality type simulation test for her? She had been warned not to dwell too much on the past and she felt a bit like screaming. Why must it insist on continuing to come up, even when she tried and worked so hard to move on?

She shook her head slightly, trying to calm down a little bit. The entire voodoo of the three women just coming in unannounced wasn't helping, either. "Appreciate it, but I need to steer clear of the circus shit - Belladonna warned me about dwelling in the past. Apparently it... It might cause disasters," Andromeda admitted quietly to James. And of course, if she had a mental breakdown due to reliving the traumatic circumstances of her death, then there was the entire weather manipulation nonsense to deal with as well.

She overheard Faith mention going to Peter's grave - now that was something she felt she could do. "Hey, I can join the grave group... If you two don't mind," she then added, looking at Faith and Bart.

Virginia Crypt

Location: Carlisle
Skills: N/A

Virginia shrugged slightly. "I met one of my closest friends when she investigated me as to whether or not I was a Soulless - it does happen from time to time," she told the man. It wasn't too much of a concern. They usually figured out pretty quickly that she was Soulled and if they didn't, Virginia didn't care. She could defend herself. It was more so James that she was worried about. He was so young and not yet trained - once he could dance with the macabre without worrying about losing his soul, then she would be able to relax. Fortunately, the Circus had agreed to train him - and she knew he would love it and grow strong.

"I take it you have been to my ancestral home," she then added, hearing the mention of that mountainous region. She accepted the odd bit of sustenance from him and hesitated in a moment, before sticking it into her mouth and she chewed it, following him down the path. If it was poison, she doubted that he would consume it himself or offer it to her. He was insane, but in an innocent and sweet way that made him trustworthy to her. "As for colors... I believe a lovely soft purple - one that appears to be delicate yet carries the strength of a belladonna plant behind it."

Maeve Brennan

Location: Annan Carriages Passing
Skills: N/A

Maeve nodded to Lady Kirkpatrick - in roughly seven to nine years time she estimated, Roisin would likely be fully trained. By then, she imagined the pain of losing Calum would have dulled and it would be easy to give such a gift to her daughter. Of course, Roisin would be trained in its use by then and it was a Catholic weapon, something that brought joy to Maeve. Protestants were the scum of the Earth, after all. Though they had tied for that title with the British as well in Maeve's opinion - she already missed Ireland. Scotland was fine - England was far worse in her opinion. "Of course, thank ye, m'lady," Maeve told her employer.

She then saw a man with a warm smile approach her, introducing himself. She glanced at him, seeing through the little act - he was attempting to charm her, right after such a tragic loss? She didn't have the stomach for it at the moment. Perhaps if she believed his friendship would be beneficial to her, she would have let him think she had been wooed. Instead, she replied curtly and firmly, "No." She then walked ahead of him to the carriage, following after Lady Kirkpatrick.

Guin Stark

Location: First Sub Basement - Pool --> Second Sub Basement - Outside the Danger Room
Skills: Mental Link with Pietro Maximoff

Her mind still had no idea where Pietro was, but Guin was close to giving up trying to reach out to him. She let out a sigh, just looking at the water in the pool. It was strange to reflect on everything that had happened - she had joined S.H.I.E.L.D. because she was bored and wanted to make her father proud. She had been assigned to the X-Men since she had grown up around enhanced individuals. It was a coincidence that she herself had turned out to be a mutant and she ended up joining the team because of...

"Pietro," Guin said softly, finishing her train of thought.

"I have often dreamed of a far off place
Where a hero's welcome would be waiting for me
Where the crowds would cheer, when they see my face
And a voice keeps saying this is where I'm meant to be,"

Guin sang, her voice soft as she continued to look into the watery depths. As if there was some sort of holographic projection, she could see the Battle of New York. She could see the explosion of the Hanson Power Plant. She could see Pietro kissing her on a rooftop in New York City for the first time. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw Muscles and a tear fell down her face.

"I'll be there someday, I can go the distance
I will find my way if I can be strong
I know every mile would be worth my while
When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong..."

She ceased singing, looking around the room for a moment. She dried her eyes and took a breath, knowing where she had to go next. Guin took a last minute to glance around the pool, feeling like she had wallowed in sadness and self pity for enough. She hated it when people did that and she had been doing little else for the last few months, it felt. Wanting to clear her head and not have the annoying sensation of a speedster that might be nearby in the background, she managed to mostly muffle the mental link.

Leaving the pool, she headed down to the second sub basement. All of the super cool X-Men stuff was stored down here - mission files, Cerebro, the Danger Room, and so much more. She couldn't help but wish that Xavier would let her see the Cerebro plans - but he refused to. It was incredibly annoying. There was also the world communication monitor - but what largely caught her notice was that Beast and Wolverine were down here. It looked like Beast was running a training sim for Wolverine in the Danger Room.

She went and poked her head into the control room. "Hey Beast, Logan? Mind if I join the training?" Guin asked, a bit timid.

"Might I ask why Ms. Stark? Most tend to avoid any sort of training session where Wolverine is involved."

"My Aunt Nat said to always challenge yourself in training - and I could honestly use the stress relief," Guin said. "And not to mention, none of the other trainers actually push me since they're worried Pietro will yell at them or whatever..."

"Are you sure about this? The training simulation is not the easiest one that there is..."

"I'm sure - if it's okay with Logan, of course...."

Beast let out a bit of a sigh, before he turned to activate the communications for the Danger Room, "Wolverine, Ms. Stark is wondering if she could join you for a training session."

"Fine with me, get the kid in here if she's going to join and stop talking already," came the response.

Dean Kesseli

Location: Patio - Outside -> Second Floor - Dean's Room -> Staircase
Skills: N/A

Dean shook his head slightly at Pietro. The man was completely ridiculous - breaking into the Pentagon to steal two hats?! It was stupid and that was saying something, since Dean had the intellectual capacity of a teaspoon. He rubbed his forehead for a moment, feeling what might have been a tension headache coming on but it quickly passed. He figured it had to have been from Ayita's traumatizing routine of threatening. "I'm - I'm gonna go put my plant in my room," Dean said awkwardly. He gave Storm a bit of a bow before heading into the mansion, running like the floor was lava through the first floor and not stopping until he reached the second staircase.

"Phew, no Ayita..." he whispered. He was afraid that she would castrate him or something. He made his way to his room and put the plant in a safe space by a window, hoping that it would get plenty of sunlight there. He then glanced at the mess his room was because of the musical. He had loved planning prom and planning the musical was just as fun - if not more. It helped to focus on planning things, rather than what he was going to do about Allison or Carolina. It was just too complicated a situation, especially when Allison's best friend was the savage Ayita.

Unfortunately, he knew it wasn't healthy to just stay in his room all day - even if it meant hiding from Ayita. He figured he'd be able to find some friends of his somewhere around the mansion, Maximoff was speeding around from what he could tell. Leaving his room, he went down the hallway and made his way to the staircase.

Neil Spellman

Location: Library - Ground Floor
Skills: N/A

Neil's eyes widened, hearing Carolina call him and Sara lovebirds, and he felt like he was going to puke. He didn't like Sara like that - okay, maybe he did but Neil wasn't able to admit it to her. And how had Carolina caught onto his crush? Hopefully Sara would be kind enough to just kill him, rather than press him with questions about what Carolina had said. It took him a moment before he realized that Sara hadn't seemed to hear what Carolina had said. He let out a bit of a sigh of relief, regaining feeling in his toes.

"Y-yeah, a pig... It's um... inspired by Circe... and um..." Neil was clearly flustered. He never felt confident enough to show people his drawings and Sara had not only seen one, but she was asking him about it. He bit his lip, taking a deep breath. "Sorry, I um... I'm not used to talking about my drawings... I do like to draw, though," he admitted, looking up at her. He looked a bit timid and exposed. This wasn't how he had imagined things to turn out - he was in his element when he was the Dungeon Master but now? He was just a flustered kid.

Damn that aircraft and whoever was inside of it... They were revealing his poor social skills.

"...Who?" he asked, never having heard of a Guina. "And no, not at all..."

Veil

Location: Apartment Complex - Parking Lot
Skills: Leadership, Perception, Invisible Energy Manipulation
Veil nodded, glancing around for a moment. They needed to be quick and efficient about this. Usually, there would be subtle signs as to which units were more likely to house mutants, but instead, Veil instead counted 16 units in total. They'd likely all have mutants, in a place like this, and even the humans could be hurt by Purifiers. "We're going dark," Veil said. She closed her eyes and took a breath, beginning to create a bubble of invisibility around them.

Havok and Colossus had already went over to Unit A. They were inside and as Veil started to walk towards the last unit, Unit P, she felt the hairs stand up on the back of her neck. Her eyes widened and Veil reflexively made gigantic force shields cover Sapphire and Spark Plug. "Purifiers!" Veil shouted. She turned around, about to try to shove them backwards to knock them out with a shield. "They must have seen us arrive - they were waiting for us!"

The Purifiers opened fire. "We know yer there, mutie scum!"

They got off seven rounds in total, the bullets headed towards Sapphire and Spark Plug stopped by Veil's force field. Yet the assholes must have come prepared - either that or they were lucky, as one of the shots pushed through Veil's force field like it was nothing and hit the Mutant Underground Leader in the chest. Veil dropped to the ground, her companions becoming visible, and her eyes closed. Her breathing had all but stilled.

"Killed one, ha!" a Purifier cheered. "Two little girls to go!"

Sunshine

Location: Millennium Plaza - Comic Book Store
Skills: People Reading, Disease Manipulation
Inside the Target across the street from the Plaza, Leighton will be greeted with a gorgeous sight: SALES, SALES, SALES! There's tons of signage everywhere for various goods and sections, and no one inside seems to be any the wiser as to what she had just fled. In fact, one of the employees smiled at her kindly, asking if she needed any help finding anything. There is - as an added bonus - a super cute guy in one of the aisles, buying toothpaste and Incredibles! band-aids.

Back over at the Plaza, James.... Damn, that boy is lucky. He rolled a 20 for going unnoticed! As he walks through the Plaza, none of the cops tap him on the shoulder and ask him what he's doing there. No one at any of the stores looks out and accuses him of having the X-gene. He's like an invisible man, able to go wherever he pleases without being bothered. Seriously - he's so stealthy he has now picked up Hiding in Plain Sight as a skill - add it to the general skills section in his CS. Dude is a chameleon, I swear...

Inside the comic book store, Sunshine rolled her eyes at Grey. "You know who ducks down and hides? People who have a reason to hide, idiot," she scolded. She went back to thumbing through comics on the shelves, ignoring the plight of the poor shop assistant. She then glanced at Max, trying not to laugh at the way he was hiding. "If you don't want the police to bother you, then don't act like you don't want them to see you - make sense?"

She then glanced back over at the front and waved her hand, the green energy seemingly coming back into it as the shop assistant recovered. Sunshine was about to brag to Max that she was right and he was wrong, when the shop keeper had come into the back and knocked Sunshine out with a baseball bat. The young mutant went down, hitting her head on a bookshelf as she went.

"I don't mind mutants, as long as ya keep to yourself and don't hurt people," the shop keeper muttered.
