Beatrice Decker

Location: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: N/A

Beatrice chuckled slightly at Alex and Manny's line of conversation. It caused a smile to tug at the corners of her lips - before she had met them, she never would have overheard a conversation lamenting the perks of retirement. Most people where she lived in her experience didn't even end up making it to retirement. Usually, you died young or you realized it was time to get out and you ran. Even then, Justice would catch up to you in the end. It couldn't be escaped, like some sort of nefarious source of gravity, pulling you towards it for eternity.

It was thus for an obvious reason that she had lied, claiming Northeastern California as her place of birth and not Justice on the forms. She wouldn't be surprised if a place like this had a policy of kicking out any Justice native without an interview. The change to her name she made? It was just in case somehow they still had records. Not a huge change, of course, but Beatrice figured it would work enough to calm any slight paranoia.

"I thought you'd rather I eat you out," Beatrice whispered to Thalia in reply to the dick eating comment. A few minutes passed as they explained that they'd be given a medical exam. She wasn't too shocked or freaked out by the idea. She used to get one every time she entered juvi, so she was more or less used to it by this point. Getting up, Beatrice waited for her turn and handed over her forms.

"I don't need a female doctor," she said once it was her turn with the doctor. It all was fairly routine. Blood work, check up, Beatrice hardly even registered most of what they were doing. After checking over Beatrice, Doc nods. "Yeah, everything looks good. Can head back over to the group." She then got a green colored bracelet on her arm with her name, glancing at it for a moment to read it and her eyes glanced around the room, seeing the other colors starting to appear.

She then went and took her seat next to Thalia. "Have fun."

Jack Newnan

Location: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: Russian

Jack nodded, taking the baby from Tatiana. He would have preferred to go first, to make sure that everything was routine, but he wasn't going to argue with his wife. Arguing with redheads was a dangerous tactic in general. Taking his baby boy, Jack couldn't help but watch towards where the examinations were going on as they took Tatiana's blood. When she disappeared behind the screen with Doc, his heart clenched in anger. It wasn't jealousy or anything like that - if anything, he was angry about how vulnerable it was making Tatiana. He didn't want her to ever have to feel like that.

"Hey, hey, solovey, it's okay..." Jack said to her softly. "Π― здСсь. Π― Π·Π°Ρ‰ΠΈΡ‰Ρƒ тСбя, нСсмотря Π½ΠΈ Π½Π° Ρ‡Ρ‚ΠΎ,"1 he then added quietly in Russian. However, he did nod in agreement that he would take Jamie up. Tatiana was clearly uncomfortable with all of this - if it was an act, it truthfully didn't matter to Jack. He just wanted to keep her safe and happy, so it would be easy for her to pull the wool over his eyes if she wanted to. But he didn't care. He was in love with her.

Heading up to the front, Jack had them take his blood first. He clenched up slightly and gritted his teeth, trying not to look at the needle or anything. As long as he didn't look at it, he'd be fine. It wasn't that he was scared of blood or anything like that - it just wasn't exactly in his top ten list of favorite things to do. "Alright, Jamie, they're gonna take some blood, okay?" he said softly to his baby, hoping that his tone of voice would keep Jamie calm.

Jamie clearly wasn't happy about getting his blood drawn - but when it was over, Jack was shocked by how quiet Jamie was. He had been prepared for screaming to rival the Irish in Boston on St. Patrick's Day. Instead, there was just a sniffle or two, no screaming at all. Once that was done, Jack went with the doctor behind the curtain, letting the man check him over as needed. He had had physicals before as a cop, so it wasn't too big of a deal.

"Alright you look good, let's get a look at this little man," he says. Letting Jack keep a hold of Jamie while he checks the boy over. "Yeah, I think he has a cold, blood tests will tell us more but that's actually a good thing," Doc explains before saying a bit more on it. "If he had allergies that would be a life long battle. Colds come and go. I'll get him some meds from S.B. while you all have dinner. Go ahead and rejoin the group."

"Thanks, Doc," Jack said, adjusting himself so he was decent and all again as he went out from behind the curtain and rejoined Tatiana, still holding onto Jamie. "Doc says it's a cold, he thinks," Jack explained to her. "Gettin' meds for Jamie and they'll bring them ovah durin' dinnah."

Walnut sighed slightly in frustration as Titian quite literally burst from the room, screaming at the top of his lungs. There had been such potential there for a partner or accomplice - mostly relating to his muscles and his seeming fascination with her, certainly. And while it appeared that Walnut had dodged a bullet with Titian, Swamp had not been so lucky. She had not yet lowered her gun as her eyes then swept back over to Dr. Swamp, seeing the man sink against the wall and begin to laugh.

How foolish and simple a man he had turned out to be. Master Plum was still unconscious and Mr. Titian had created a large hole in the wall. Assessing the situation, Walnut considered her options. She could shoot Plum and end the man's life. She could shoot Swamp and ideally end his as well. She could shoot through the hole and attempt to kill Mr. Titian - a shame that would be. Or of course, there was the nonviolent option of shooting no one at all. "Oh my, oh dear, I shot Dr. Swamp! Let me rectify that!" Walnut said, her face was void of emotion as she looked at Swamp. Her quip could potentially be read as sarcastic or as genuine - Swamp and Titian would most likely know it to be the former.

Walnut then shot at Dr. Swamp once more. The gun however did not seem to have murder on its agenda, as it backfired and shattered in her hand. She yelped in surprise at the burning hand, dropping the pistol and she looked at her hand for a moment. Now she was also in need of a doctor. Perhaps it was funny in a strange way. Perhaps it was terrifying.

She regretted nothing.

GM Note: Walnut takes 1 point of damage.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Highway to Hell Grimm
Skills: N/A

Cecily thought for a moment, before she could practically hear Natasha's words echoing to her from Caesar's home. Her fiancΓ© was Lincoln Roberts. He worked security at Justice Memorial. She bit her lip slightly - that put him directly in Juno's line of fire. Was Natasha forced to work for them just due to convenience? They had her fiancΓ© in their employ - they could probably kill him or frame him any time they wanted to. However, Roy had a point. It would have been easier to deal with a doctor they already had in Justice - someone they could already mess with.

"Her fiancΓ© works security at Justice Memorial," Cecily said. Two ideas had presented themselves to her. The first idea was that it was again just something convenient. They had Lincoln on payroll, so they could use his presence there to blackmail Natasha. However, the second one was that there had to be something special about Natasha. There had to be some reason why she had to be the one and not any other doctor in Justice.

"She traveled a lot... Ran from everything... Involved with a series of men..." Cecily mumbled, thinking as she talked. "One idea I have is that it has to do with where she traveled. Maybe she had information that they wanted and figured they could kill two birds with one stone... Another is that it has to do with the series of men she dated. Maybe they all were connected to Juno in one way or another, or maybe they helped her get away from them, and she would owe them... Another idea is that it was just easy. Her fiancΓ© was at the hospital, so Chang would be in a good position to kill him at any moment, if Natasha got out of line..."

Guin Stark and Dean Kesseli

Location: First Sub Basement - Hallway
Skills: Mind Switch, Superhuman Agility

Guin's head was pounding as she hit the wall and she felt the back of her head for a moment. When she pulled her hand away, there was blood on her fingers. It wasn't too much, for which she was thankful, but as she glanced over towards Lance her eyes widened. He was bleeding severely. With that much blood, he'd need to get to medical quickly. Down the hallway came Wolverine and Beast. Richard was busy beating on Dean, not realizing how out of character all of this was - and a little kid wandered down here.

"Beast, Lance needs medical!" Guin called out, scrambling to her feet. She knew the odds of her getting close to Mary were slim. It then occurred to her to try something new: to switch without making contact. She reached her hands out in front of her slightly, trying to keep as calm as she possibly could as she attempted to switch with Mary without touching her. Guin felt her mind almost disconnect from her own body, drifting forward as she grabbed onto Mary's - only for something to interfere and kick her out.

"Shit... Something has a hold on Mare's mind!"

Dean narrowed his eyes, looking at Richard. The man only cared for Ayita, not anyone else in this entire school. He wasn't a real staff member. He knew that if Richard were to be given a choice between Ayita and the others, he wouldn't hesitate to condemn them all to hell. And now, here he was, calling him a puppy. The wannabe speedster was seeing red, so angry with Richard that he didn't even register the voices of the others.

"Fuck you," Dean said, zipping forward and his arm phased through Richard. He could have gone for the heart, but Dean wanted to keep the Adder alive. His hand closed around Richard's kidney and he yanked it out, phasing out again. His hand was covered in blood as he stared at Richard, the organ in his hand. "Hope you didn't need this for anything important."

He then shrugged slightly and threw the kidney at Richard, hitting him with it hard enough that the Adder was sent stumbling backwards. The kidney burst on contact. "Wow, lame, thought it would hold up better than that."

Guin, meanwhile, was staring at what happened with a horrified expression on her face. There was blood everywhere. PIETRO!!! she screamed into the mental link, completely terrified. Guina? What's wrong? Mary is trying to kill me and Lance, Lance is bleeding out and I think I've got a head wound and then Dean just fucking took Richard's kidney and threw it at him like a fucking water balloon!!! Her thoughts were racing, going practically a million miles a minute. There is a reason for that... Pietro, please help!!!! ...I'm not exactly in control of my actions at the moment... ...Th-th-then I love you and I'm sorry if I die. Don't talk like that! And Mary better not kill you! Though she and Dean aren't in control of their actions at the moment either...

Neil Spellman

Location: First Floor - Formal Sitting Room
Skills: Telekinesis

Neil chuckled slightly at Sara's pun. It caused for there to be a slight smile on his face, only that vanished a few seconds later. Mira's shriek slammed him backwards into the wall and he instantly began to feel woozy. There was something warm and wet on his head, he knew that much, and it took him a few moments to realize the source of it. Mira had cracked their skulls if they were supremely unlucky - he hoped it was just some sort of surface wound. "Not cool..." Neil mumbled, feeling sick.

He then looked at Mira and gritted his teeth, attempting to use his telekinesis to twist her leg around from the knee down. Neil then smirked even more, hearing Mira's leg snap. "Vocal cords next," he then mumbled to himself. The breaking of the leg at least would slow her down, but the vocal cords were what gave Mira that incredibly powerful scream. He needed to get rid of them and the fastest way he could think of would be to tear them. Yet as he tried, something didn't work out quite so well. He didn't hit her vocal cords, instead spraining Mira's shoulder.

Like with any tool, there are going to be downsides. I used to not have any sort of chat server for my RPs, largely since a lot of my RPers were already in Lady Amalthea's chatroom and I didn't see a point in making a second general chat area for largely the same people. However, once I saw how handy discord was for a GM, I created a RP server and I have it organized by RP. It also includes a reminders and announcements section, as well as behind the scenes areas for my Co-Gms and I to discuss.

Benefits wise, I have seen players become more invested in the RPs. We aren't just a disconnected group of strangers who occasionally interact in the OOC. People know the person behind the username and I think that takes away a lot of the ~nervousness~ about posting in a RP and makes people more enticed to continue on when there is a lull in a storyline. It has allowed for players to ask me questions quickly, as well as for me to send out announcements and remind people about posting in a setting where I know everyone will check at least once a day. A lot of great ideas and memories have come out of discord.

Negatives wise, cliques are definitely a thing. It's up to the GM/server owner to enforce equal participation and opportunity. People will naturally prefer old friends over new ones, so it's up to the server owner/GM/chatroom staff to make sure that no one is being excluded or left out. You can't just hope for an inclusive environment. You need to make sure one happens. I have also found that fights break out easily on discord between players, so to counteract this I've appointed a chat moderator from one of my trusted RPers and that has been helping keep things civil whenever tensions arise (we're human, tensions will happen).

I myself really enjoy the discord server for my RPs, as well as servers I am in for other GMs. If it works for you, great. If not, then it's no big deal. Everyone just needs to follow what works for them as a GM - and this goes for RPers too. If you don't like discord servers and the GM requires you to be in one, then that may not be the RP home for you. And there's nothing wrong with that in my opinion.
@unicorgi Hi!

Although I normally am very welcoming to new players, reviewing your post history brought up something about a moist pervert chatroom and that you have applied to join countless RPs and then in some cases withdrawn interest a day or so later... So I am not comfortable taking you on as a new RPer. Best of luck!

@FantasyChic: Leighton will not be stopped by anyone, as they look at her with fear and terror. Each time she takes a step, the ground beneath her freezes. By the time she has left the Target, she has turned it into a novelty ice skating rink of sorts. Outside, she'll see that things are relatively calm - that is, until she hears the sound of sirens. Police are on their way - they can't be more than a minute or so out.

@FantasyChic: Reeva gave Anastasia a smile. "These people could potentially prove... an obstacle to our plans here at the Hellfire Club. Your assignment is a tricky one. Turning them to my side will not further our cause - but if they were to be massacred by Purifiers, it would be. Turn them against each other if you have to, but they need to be decimated - and I need it to become a public rallying cry. I have contacts if you need additional support. The Mutant Underground tends to be non-violent, avoiding confrontation if possible... Let's change that."

Veil

Location: Apartment Complex - Balcony -> the Parking Lot
Skills: Force Fields
"Wake the fuck up!" Havok snapped. He saw Sapphire doing her best to help Spark Plug, but it wasn't stopping the bleeding and the wound looked real bad. Colossus started to move Havok aside, getting a bit of resistance from the mutant but he managed to get through. Colossus picked Spark Plug up into his arms and gently put pressure on the wound with a steel finger, keeping her from losing more blood. He then looked at Veil for a moment, waiting for her to give another order or direction. The Purifiers were dealt with, but they now had police to contend with.

"You all get her to the clinic. I'll hold them off. NOW GO!" Veil snapped, not leaving any room for arguments. She projected bits of force fields on her arms and legs and jumped from the balcony, slowing her fall as she hit the ground below. Her next move was to use a force field and she flipped a car over, drawing the attention of the police.

"Come, it is time to go," Colossus said, looking at Sapphire and Havok. Havok gritted his teeth and nodded, following Colossus down the stairs and out the side exit. "Nearest clinic is five blocks from here. Sapphire, make the road filled with ice - we will use car like sled," he explained in broken and accented English. As Havok glanced back into the parking lot, he could see Veil drawing more and more attention from the police. She was practically surrounded.

But they had no choice. If they didn't all leave now, Spark Plug would die.

Sunshine

Location: the Morlock Tunnels
Skills: Disease Manipulation
Erg looked at Max and nodded, taking his hand and shaking it. Erg's hands were rough and worn from years of hard labor, struggling to keep the Morlock community afloat in the sewers. While they had other groups living underneath different major cities, they were more or less independent from each other and provided on their own talents to survive. "Welcome, Tome," Erg said with a slight smile. "As for my powers... All in due time."

Blink rolled her eyes slightly. "He likes being mysterious."

Erg then looked at James and nodded. He could sympathize. It was hard, leaving the surface world behind but in his experience, people were happier down here where they could live openly without fear. They could be part of a community of others like them. "You do not have to stay. However, Membrane has informed me that the police have your general description and are searching the area. It would be wise for you to remain in the tunnels, at least for tonight. Tomorrow, Blink can take you wherever you wish to go."

"I can make portals," Blink explained. "I kinda blink things in and out of existence."

Sunshine, however, looked at Max and James like they were crazy. "Wait, are you guys really considering leaving this place?! You do realize we're mutants right - just because Tony Stark's daughter is a mutant doesn't mean we all get to be accepted!" Sunshine was getting pissed and a little flash of green went off by accident. James would get a runny nose. "The police might stop hunting you today, sure, but what about tomorrow? What about the next day? Do you even have a family that would really care if you were gone?"

"I mean, seriously, humans will never understand us!" Sunshine stomped her foot slightly. "Please tell me you understand that."

Nora Kingston

Location: The Ferry - Cargo
Skills: N/A
Nora nodded at Lady Munn. She could imagine that Vera felt extremely cold now. The dip into the Nile must have felt as if it penetrated her bones and she then mused that the slightest breeze would only increase the chill that the poor Lady Munn had to contend with. She heard one of the men suggest that they get people upstairs and Nora nodded slightly. It couldn't be good for anyone's health to be down there. "Here, please allow us to help you up to your quarters, Lady Munn," Nora then suggested, offering Vera an arm for support. She knew that Vera was capable of walking on her own, but after the entire debacle she wanted to be able to help her friend not trip over her own feet this time.

A second dip in the Nile would hardly be as pleasant as the first one had been, after all. Mahendra seemed to be fine as well, which was a relief to Nora. Her mind flashed towards his brand and she grimaced slightly. The idea of exposing that flesh to the filth of the Nile did not seem to be ideal at all to her. Her head then turned sharply towards the Lord Major, as he addressed the stranger and inquired after his nationality. Lady Munn could fall ill and this was what he was concerned about? Nora had as unfavorable opinion of Americans as most Brits did, yet she still thought that ensuring Lady Munn - and Mahendra too - were able to get dry and have a proper change of clothing was the priority here.

Gene Benaszewski

Location: The Ferry - Second Deck -> Lower Deck -> Cargo
Skills: N/A
Gene rolled her eyes slightly at the Lord Major's answer. At the very least, he had managed to be honest at the end, admitting that Vera always was falling over just about everything there was to trip over. It made her really wonder how she was able to get any work done at all - wouldn't she just trip and break everything? Send all of the notes and papers flying? However, it once more reminded Gene of her theory as to why George was so taken with her - Lady Munn was a creature that he could protect and serve. It probably gave him a sense of purpose and pride.

However, Gene couldn't help herself but start to laugh at J.C.'s joke. "Oh that's just precious," she said, cackling, as she wiped away a tear from her eyes. For some reason, the young American found it to be the height of humor and it took Gene a few deep breaths in order to stop laughing at it. Shaking her head slightly, she let out once last giggle as she then looked at her brother properly. "Of course he's American," Gene said, turning to look at the Lord Major again.

"If he was British, Vera would still be swimming in the Nile," she finished with a smirk. She was having a lot of fun messing with the Lord Major like this. She wondered if his face could turn red enough that his head would pop off - and if it was possible, she fully intended on seeing it happen during this ferry ride.
@InnerParadox22 Nope, you have free reign. If you go to the RP itself, the OOC also lists the current characters we have and what they specialize in.

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Carnival Set Up
Skills: N/A

Andromeda was shocked to see the Watch back so soon - though she guessed it wasn't really that surprising. She wasn't entirely certain how his abilities worked yet, but he could more or less return whenever he wanted from what Andromeda could understand. It wasn't too odd then for him to return during the same ~day~ that he had left. Or maybe it had just been a super quick trip and no time manipulation was needed for a quick return. The more Andromeda thought about it, the more it was giving her a headache. She would need paper, pencil, and a three hour Q&A session to even get close to understanding how the Watch's powers worked.

Yet just as she was surprised to see the Watch back, she was surprised that he hadn't brought Nancy back with him. Those two Emendators seemed to be incredibly close, acting like brother and sister even though they looked more like grandfather and granddaughter - maybe uncle and niece on a good day, she mused. With the two Emendators talking to each other, Andromeda more or less felt awkwardly out of place now as well. She didn't want to interrupt them as they were catching each other up on things that had happened - she was just a Paradox, after all - but she also didn't want to sit there and do nothing.

"Thank you for communicating with Peter for us, Ruthie," Andromeda said. She figured someone had to thank Ruthie, since Gio and Gilbert seemed to focused on each other to really register the medium.
