All right, four acts is enough for a decent tour lol. I'm going to get started on an OP, and it's gonna look like crud compared to the others but dang it, there will be something there!
No worries, hun. If this turns into Lilith Fair 2: Electric Boogaloo, I'm still good with that. Gender ratios will not be enforced, although they will be encouraged to make sure everyone who wants to pair up can do so.

So you did it. You got your tape in at the right time to the right producer and now you have your shot. A spot in the lineup of one of the most ambitious festival tours in decades. 10 stops, 10 weekends, 10 unforgettable shows. EyeSight is 2020, and anyone who misses a stop will be forever blind to the sheer awesome display of genre-bending music that emerges from those temporary stages. Also, the festival is hiring a writer to come up with more ocular puns.

Anyway, you don't have to worry about that because you're in the band! Or performing by yourself! Whatever you do, you got here on your own merits because your music is exactly what EyeSight is about! So now you have to do is get on stage and let your voice be heard by the masses! Oh, and you'll probably have to deal with the travel conditions going across the country and back in 2 1/2 months. Oh, and you're going to have to get along with the other acts. You know, don't go totally rock n' roll on them and smash guitars or pianos or whatever they need to perform. And definitely don't get into all the alcohol and drugs! At least not to the point where you're trotting out on the stage like Elton John or something. But don't worry! This totally won't be another Fyre Festival! So get out there and enjoy your star-making turn! The crowds are waiting!

So hey, been a while since I actually GM'd an RP, so I'm trying to wade back into the swing of things with this concept. We basically are filling the lineup card of the fictional EyeSight Festival, a tour that will hit 10 stops in 10 weeks during the summer and fall of 2020 and offers the chance for each one of its participants to become the next big thing in music. It's a Slice of Life RP, so the focus is not going to be on the actual performances themselves, unless they specifically are a part of the plot that you come up with, but more the interactions behind the scenes. The typical drama that happens with life on the road, especially being crammed in a bunch of tour buses criss-crossing the country. I'm expecting things to get real in a hurry.

But yeah, this is just to see if anyone would be interested in this concept. I've seen a lot of SoL RPs on here and I don't think I've seen anything quite like this one. I'm hoping to get a lot of people, and hey, if you talk to someone on here and want to be in the same band, definitely go for it! I think that would be great! You can also play entire bands if you want, although I'm not accepting like 19-member K-Pop bands. That's just insane.

Anyway, if there are any questions or anything, or you just want to tell me how awesome this idea is, and what a freaking queen I am for coming up with this, let me know here. Once there are enough people interested, I'll start working on the OP. Heck you can start claiming font colors and FCs if you want. But I have 8B2B8E on lock down for my Jordan Miller FC, so they are taken.

Y'all probably don't know who Jordan Miller is, so I'm not worried about that. But let me hear it, folks!

THUD!

That was not the sound an arrow usually made. Not unless the power on Kelsey's shots had gotten so good it was knocking bears out of nearby trees. It happened once. Although Sykes had made pretty sure that bear was already paying the price for being on his property.

No, this was no bear. It took a second to realize just what the heck came crashing in on her angry archery session, but once it started moving the hair was unmistakable. That Sonic the Hedgehog spike thing. The style that managed to stay perfectly intact even after tumbling what had to be a solid 50 feet from the upper part of that pine tree. Seriously, how much gel and hairspray had to combine to make that possible? At least it protected his head from that fall.

Which was good, because Kelsey was pretty sure there didn't need to be another child of Dionysus in the infirmary on her behalf at the moment. No, she was indeed familiar with Kaz, mostly through interactions with his sister Dustyn. They didn't talk much, mostly because Kaz's English wasn't exactly dub-level. He got bits and pieces, but it was still a work in progress. Much like trying to get him to actually say her name correctly. Kelsey never quite clicked on his tongue. Kari was close enough at least.

Kaz seemed fine anyway, at least for himself. The fact that he came up with her arrow drawn as a makeshift weapon confirmed the fact that the fall didn't suddenly alter his personality. Kelsey dropped her bow and with that, the Japanese man's guard seemed to go down as well. At least enough for a greeting and an astute observation.

"Angry?"

"You kin say that," Kelsey confirmed as she reclaimed her arrow from Kaz. "Just workin' through a whole lotta bullshit from this mornin' 'n last night 'n just..." She let out a heavy sigh. "I dunno, Kaz. Jus' kinda gettin' sick of things 'n wonderin' if I should just go ahead 'n get myself booted outta this place. Might be better for me. Even if I would miss D a helluva lot."

She sounded melancholic, a rare state. As if the anger she felt during her shooting session gave way to the sadness she felt of her best friend now being stuck in the infirmary because of her. A fact she was reminded of by the blood standing in front of her. It was almost like shame. The teachers sure as hell couldn't make her feel that, but Dusty's silence could.

Kelsey did her best to maintain her resolve. "Think I'm done shootin' for a bit, though." She tossed her arrows with ease back in her quiver and slung the leather over her back. "Gonna go grab some grub. Ya in on food?"

THUNK!

The arrow embedded itself right next to several others in a landmark of the Mystic Forest that was referred to by one of the local residents as the "Shootin' Tree". It was a lodgepole pine that stood about 60 feet tall with a thick trunk that had almost every square inch of the bark from 20 feet up to the roots riddled with pock marks in the bark caused by every single incident that cause Kelsey Marston to retreat for some angry archery. Some of the notches had grown up with the tree, making it look like Kelsey had a higher range than she did. Either way, it was getting another set of arrow holes following last night's display of bullshit.

THUNK!

They fucking had it. They had that oversized edgelord in a jumpsuit right where they wanted it. They were going to finish it. But noooOOOooo. Fucking staffers had to come in on their fucking high horses and show off by banishing the thing to the land of wind and ghosts or wherever the hell they sent things. Then they had to give the party the fucking stinkeye like they summoned the fucking thing themselves. Fucking Lucy, that damn bitch with her snide "Why am I not shocked you're here?" as she rounded Kelsey up with the rest like a gods-damned preschoolers. And then the bullshit lecture they got, about responsibility and knowing when to run and just ignoring what they managed to do with a threat to the campus. And that they were gonna be punished for that. Kelsey wanted the expulsion. Get her out of this place, let her start her WNBA career finally. But nooooooo. Just punishment and monitoring and just more. Fucking. Bullshit.

THUNK!

And what was worse was what happened to Dustyn. Apparently, she was her usual graceful self in getting to the water with the others, and got raked by a couple of the shadows in the process. So now she was on the injured list. A quick text this morning told Kelsey that she was fine and would definitely heal from this and would be back slinging pong balls and other balls before Kelsey knew it. It was nice to see her sense of humor endured. Still, the fact that D took all that punishment last night and had things end like that. It wasn't right. Some freaking gods. There's your shock. That none of them dared to show up and rectify any of this. The Peak of Bullshit Mountain.

THUNK!

At least her shooting was still on point. Kelsey wasn't feeling any kind of hangover. Hadn't since she was 13. No surprise. She left while Avem was still in his room, unsure if he was asleep or not. Didn't matter. Kelsey had things to do. Like get out all of this anger from the universal amount of bullshit that she was feeling was just piled on for no reason.

"Fuckin' bullshit!" she shouted as she channeled her frustration into the last arrow of her current batch.

THUNK!

It threaded the needle in between all the other ones, almost like one solid clump had found the same spot on the Shootin' Tree. Kelsey breathed a sigh and lowered her bow. She was going to trudge over to start digging her arrows out of the trunk, but she stopped. She needed something to go right after the absolute shitshow that was last night.

Might as well give 'er a go.

She stood and started concentrating on the bundle of arrows. Almost trying to will it out of the tree and back to her hand. The arrows started to shake one by one, vibrating in the tree, like an earthquake was happening until the mass of them popped out and floated in the air outside of the trunk before returning slowly to the quiver at its owner's request.

Kelsey smiled and nodded, a rare action for her. "Guess that gravity shit's fine'ly startin' ta come along if I got tha whole bunch in one. Wish I coulda used it on that damn cooler last night. Be flyin' like a dang moon demon yet. Lucy kin suck on that."

She grabbed the top arrow and began the process over again.

The party was finally about to kick into high gear. People were starting to get a solid buzz on. Pong was going to go down. Everything was right with the world, and Kelsey was feeling it. Her boast to her new roommate was proof, and the fact that Avem was fair game was a good sign for the year to come.

"My money is on you girlie. Might I suggest a nose ring though. Maybe win a new piece for me, I need some new jewelry in my body."

Kelsey tilted her head back and forth, bangs crossing in front of her face as she did. "I dunno. Marcy got some pretty pieces, prob'ly gonna draw away from everythin' else ya got." She winked. "But I like your thinkin'. Nose ring wouldn't take away from the shootin'."

She didn’t have much time to plan for the game ahead, however. Not with Viv’s scream piercing the night like her shots usually pierced the cups. The owner of Dustyn’s tooth kept yelling at everyone to run, but Kelsey was no runner. Not unless basketballs were involved.

However, once the entire beach party became surrounded by black beasts and red eyes, running wasn’t an option for anyone from the looks of things. The dark creatures had the numbers advantage. But they didn’t have the weapons advantage.

The Missouri girl had her bow in her hands quicker than she could finish downing the beer that was left in her can. She drew one of her arrows and nocked it, keeping it primed as the beasts seemed to be sizing up the various morsels collected on the beach for them. “Stay behind me, Dust,” she told her friend as she tried to figure out which one of the shadow creatures would make the first move.

Turned out it was all of them.

"Rhea! Gather up everyone who can't fight and hit the water! You can keep them safe there!"

Jonas was taking control of the situation. At least someone was. Kelsey was never exactly a coach on the floor. Her job was to catch and shoot, and that’s what she started doing. “Do that instead, Dust,” she amended her statement as she started placing arrows in red dots with precise accuracy.

"Dana! Bekah! Kelsey! Truck's as good elevation as you'll get without climbing trees! If anyone's got weapon requests, say so now!"

Apparently there was a plan for her after all. Get her onto the roof of the truck so she could ping targets with impunity. Kelsey could get down with that. She hustled over to the pick-up, quiver in hand before leaning it up in the back against the window. “Just make sure I got all tha arrows I’m gonna need, Joe! Fill tha damn truck bed if ya need to!”

Marston posted up at the top of the vehicle and started firing at will. It was actually fun for a while. Definitely was better target practice than she was getting from some of the ranges on campus. It was a lot more fun shooting things that could actually scream out in pain, too. However, nothing fun lasts forever and eventually the beast converged into one giant being that was suddenly way too big for its britches. Talking about rights to powers and some typical preachy bullshit that villains or creatures that got too hissy about what they didn’t have whined about to the heroes that ended up filling them with enough magic or projectiles or whatever the hell killed them. Better not be beer.

“Keep talkin’, ya blown-up oil puddle,” Kelsey muttered to herself as she merely readied another volley of arrows in her bow. She was pretty sure the silver-tipped heads were going to work pretty well. Usually handled creatures of darkness in the sims.

Bekah and Marcy had other ideas, going the “kill it with fire” route that was pretty effective as well. Liam, was nice to see Liam, Kelsey wasn’t sure the Zeus kid was going to make it to this party, he came in with the lightning and it appeared every single element was going into sending this overgrown MCR fan back to the basement it crawled out of. The Nyx siblings had opened up some sort of portal to suck it back in. Fuck. Didn’t think the emo kids would actually prevent the apocalypse. Guess I owe someone a beer.

Kelsey was determined to help with the final push though. It was going to be tough aiming around all the other demigods looking to nail the final blow against this giant shadow fart, but there was going to be no one else who could do that without putting an arrow into something of this world. The nominal daughter of Artemis took aim and launched multiple arrows towards the beast, hoping that while not flaming, the bolts would be enough to end this thing and get back to what was truly important in this world, beer.

It didn't take long for Jade to get ready for the beach. She was as good as her word. The problem was she spent so much time getting to know her new roommates, particularly Drea, that she spaced out and lost track of time. When Drea said she was already going to the bonfire, it caught Jade off guard. Probably just like the bite of the Crown Royal sneaking up on her after another couple of shots.

Content that Missy had won the war between the upstairs and downstairs speaker systems, she quickly set about getting prepared. The master bathroom was pretty freaking gorgeous, and it even had a sauna. It was possible to get lost in there, it was that vast. Once she had everything figured out though, it was nothing to get ready. It was almost fun, like pampering herself. It had been a while.

Once she cleaned the ocean and diesel spray off her body, Jade was ready. She pulled out the cute dress she had picked up at Je T'Aime yesterday, a sheer floral print that was humble enough to not steal attention away from Rachel, because honestly, nothing was going to do that, yet stood out enough so people knew she was embracing this event in all facets and was going to look good doing it. Paired with a hanging topaz pendant, the stone of her star sign, her DK sunglasses, and a pair of jade green-colored sandals and she was set. Why no jade pendant? Too obvious. That's why the color is in the footwear.

Either way, Jade casually made her way towards the beach as indicated by the giant signs that the staff had clearly hung up to guide pre-drunken revelers. They were appreciated. The giant speakers that were literally making the ground vibrate were not, as were the plebs already drunkenly dancing around the pyre like pagan worshipers of old. Not Jade's scene. The red carpet that led to the VIP tent, that was more like it.

Of course Jade Scott was on the list. How could she not? She entered the cordoned-off area and spotted the hostess with the mostess, laughing it up with some women that Jade didn't recognize. They were cleaning the glass table with their faces though, which was a great sign, and offered an answer for how Rachel got all her energy. Jade didn't need that right now. Plus, Jade never got a response to the text that she now regretted.

Especially when she spotted the person who made her actually happy to have roommates on this vacation. Drea was sitting at the bar, seemingly by herself for the moment. So naturally this was the time for Jade to show off how glamorous an athlete could be when they wanted.

"Well now," she said as she walked up where Drea was sitting. "I didn't realize you had to leave early to stake out the top stool at the counter. I mean, you could have had help with that." Jade looked around. "Unless you were saving these spots for other people at this party?"

A collab by @NeoAJ and @HaleyTheRandom; featuring Shawna and Sunshine.

School was the last place Shawna wanted to be right now. She thought long and hard about skipping today. Just hunkering down in her house with a couple seasons of GLOW and what was left of her stash from Carter. It had been that stressful yesterday.

Kellie Anne finally responded to her after Ariel had gotten out of the shared Uber on Saturday night. Finally. But it wasn't much of a response. Shawna stared at it as the driver took her back to the homestead:

"hey babe, something came up so i had to leave. sorry!"
"love u, see u monday at school!"

It seemed pretty innocuous-looking. The kind of thing that would have made sense to send to someone. However, the context that Ximena had added to things made it seem almost shady. Kellie Anne didn't say what it was. Millie still appeared to be at the party when Shawna and Ariel left, so it couldn't be her sister. And if it was a family thing, Millie likely would have left as well. So what was it?

Attempts at getting clarity on Sunday were shut down too. Kellie wasn't responding to anything Shawna sent. Not to a "hey u? How you feeling today?" or a "I know you aren't sleeping the whole day away, right?" or even a "you're still alive, right?" She didn't even acknowledge it until late Sunday night. It was if she didn't notice the stream of worried texts. Instead:

"hi love! hope ur well! see u tomorrow <3"

She was still mulling Sunday over as she shuffled like a zombie towards her locker.

"I just don't get it. I just don't," she said, as she trudged along. Confusion was a feeling she was more familiar with nowadays following her summer break, but she still didn't like it. "That was the first day she didn't answer a single text. Like, it can't be because of Max, right?"

Sunshine had been pondering what had happened at Kavi's party over the course of the last few days - not that there was much that had happened for her. What she had been pondering was the fact that Kings Academy seemed like a completely and utterly confusing shit show. She had sent out a couple of texts to Shawna and Kellie over the weekend, but hadn't really gotten that much of a response from either. She had just chalked it up to them being busy or hung over. Luckily for her, she spotted the taller of the two in the hall. "Yo, Shawna! Everything okay? You're either constipated or concentrating really hard."

Hearing the voice of one of her friends jolted Shawna out of her state of contemplation. She turned to see Sunshine standing ther, in a relatively normal state. At least she had made it out all right. She regretted not checking in with her yesterday, but the Kellie thing had put her completely on edge. "Um...it's...no. It's not really ok. It's just... I'm having some trouble with... Sunshine, what do you think about Kellie? Like I know you haven't had that long to know her, but maybe that's good. What do you think of her?"

A little caught off by the question, it took Sunshine a second to answer. "I mean, like you said, I haven't really known her that long. She seems pretty cool. A little awkward, but hey, aren't we all?"

Shawna responded with a laugh that definitely backed up Sunshine's assertion. It was not the chill laugh she had developed over the past few months. There was nervous feelings laced within. "That is definitely true. But I mean, like... you don't think Kellie would be the type to... you know..." Shawna looked around, just to make sure the dancer wasn't bounding up the hallway already. "You don't think she's the type to cheat on someone, do you?" She was being pretty blunt, but it was the only way she knew she was going to get some help on making sense of everything.

"I really don't know, man. I just... I dunno. I don't know her that well. I wish I did, but I just... don't."

The tall girl stopped and let her back bang up against a random set of lockers as she slumped down to the ground. "Fuck I wish someone did," she sighed. Shawna looked up at Sunshine as students filtered past them. "Someone told me at the Halloween party that they saw Kellie Anne hooking up with fucking Max in a room, and I don't know if I believe them. I thought I didn't. After having all of yesterday to think about it though, now I'm like 50/50. Like she actually could have done that."

"Fuck," Sunshine mumbled under her breath, slowly taking in Shawna's words. Then it dawned on her. Were Kellie and Shawna actually a thing? Of course Sable had noticed the jokes and such, but she didn't really think that they were official or anything. "So you two were actually a thing? Like... wow. I'm so sorry Shawna."

"It wasn't a THING thing," Shawna admitted. "I tried to make it a thing thing. Kellie said she wasn't ready. She said she wasn't over Max. I didn't think she meant that she wanted to go back and fuck him again, but fuck. I don't know. I don't fucking know. And this whole ghosting thing isn't helping my brain much either.

Wow. That was literally the only word that could come to Sunshines mind. People and emotions were complicated. That's why she normally stuck to Tequila. "So she hasn't messaged you either?"

Shawna held her knees. "A couple times, but she hasn't offered an explanation for what happened at Kavi's or why she didn't message me almost all of yesterday. She looked down the hall. There were a sprinkling of tears on her face. "Stupid fucking Max. He just couldn't stay away. He just had to come along and fuck everything up, didn't he?"

"You could always fuck his shit up. Kellie didn't have to do anything with him. You could just fuck his shit up for GP as my mom used to say." Sunshine took a deep breath. She really wasn't being any help to Shawna at the moment, and it was starting to make her feel bad. "On a serious note though, I'm here if you need me. Maybe one of us could try to meet up with her in class or something today? Nonchalantly ask her what happened. Probably better you than me. I'm not sure."

Sunshine was making a lot of sense. If Max was going to take away something Shawna love.... at least had very strong feelings for, the least she could do is take something away from that fucking asshole. It seemed to be the right way to go about things. She probably couldn't match Ariel's final total for damages to Kavi's bedroom. But she could at least cost stupid Max a game or two. Kellie said he was always wrapped up in his lacrosse shit. Hard to be wrapped up in it when there is no equipment to play matches with.

"No...no. I might say something really fucking stupid right now," Shawna told her friend. "Besides, I don't feel much like going to class." She got up and gave Sunshine a hug. "Thank you, Sunshine. You're a great friend. I know what I have to do."

"Please don't fucking kill anybody. I really don't feel like testifying against a new friend."

Shawna laughed. This one was less nervous and a little more... aggressive? Jokerish? It was tough to tell. "No worries. I promise I will not kill anyone. Just going to follow the example of someone else and find a healthy outlet for my frustration at this whole scenario. You won't be under oath, I swear.

"Well, just know that no matter what happens, I'm here for you, okay? I think I'll go and grab some lunch before class though, if that's fine?"

"Sounds like a plan, Sunshine. I think I'm going to go off-campus for lunch today. You know, right after I take care of some shit. Anyway, text me later, ok?" With that, Shawna headed off towards the athletics department. She was going to have to stop by the baseball equipment locker, but soon there would be justice in the world.

When the consistent pattern of the waves was broken up by the sound of a door opening, Jade did her best to block out the world. Of course there was no explanation from Rachel yet as to the meaning of this camp living she was going to be subjected to. It would be best to just ignore the newest visitor to the cabana and just let them drift around while she kept her eyes closed. Hopefully, they would leave her be while she waited for the escape hatch from the gracious host.

"Pretty amazing set up these rooms have, huh?"

Alas, she would not be so lucky. At least it was another woman. With a direct question asked of her, Jade opened her eyes and turned towards the door where she saw... Well, it definitely wasn't a terrible sight. The first thing she saw were those emerald green eyes staring back at her own, sparkling almost in the face of the outfit that definitely screamed of someone dressed to kill. She had better fashion taste than most of the girls on the team, that was for sure. And Jade was including herself in that group.

The star striker boosted herself up, resting on her palms on her claimed bed as her dark brown hair cascaded behind her shoulders. "Yeah," was all she could offer back to start. "Yeah, it's something else. Pretty sure this bed is bigger than the dorm room I had in freshman year." Jade pushed herself up to a seated position. "Have you seen outside yet? There is a freaking water slide out there!"

As she steadied herself on the bed, Jade tried to work out if she knew this girl from somewhere. Did they share a class? Cross paths at a concert? She didn't seem like much of the sporting type. Probably just buddy buddy with Rachel to get into a place this opulent. "So, I'm guessing you're crashing in here too, huh? The cabana, I mean. Not this room. This is my room." If she was going to be sharing this place, even with someone like the fashionista in front of her, she was going to stake her claim early.
