The guy with a gun.
I honestly think the biggest problem a majority of the roleplayers on this site face is that they can't grasp "Show, don't tell."

Examples I have seen recently;

"Gosh! My character is so smart and clever, even though I've done nothing to suggest that!"

"My character's a reeeeeal edgy dick, lemme just have him sulk in a corner instead of taking a perfect opportunity for him to be an asshole!"

Going on a tangent here but I remember seeing a video about the original Alien movie and how it was able to portray horror so well. It came down to the environment that was built, the expression of what is unseen can be more feared than the seen, and it tapped into elements that were disturbing to viewers but never in a slaughterfest like the saw movies.

So the reason I bring this up is because it follows the same road as what you are discussing in roleplays. Several people want to tell us how the characters should feel, act and be portrayed and yet they don't set up those ground basics for the character. If someone is smart you can use mannerisms and descriptions on appearance rather than dialogue on how flux capacitors work. Don't tell us that alien is scary, let us believe that it might be worse than what you are leading on.

Also, if someone is banned many times enough from different rps, after a number is reached you could red flag that person by giving his name a red flag badge so other people know who they're dealing with when said person shows interest.

That can both have a positive and negative impact on people and the community. You have to remember that an individual's ban from an rp is up to the GM's discretion, not a clear reflection on the member as a whole. There could be a number of reasons why the person was blocked that doesn't involve being aggressive towards the GM or RP (eg: blocked because of a lack of activity, or the GM doesn't like their writing skill/style)

Presenting a public red flag on a member based on how many blocks they have is something that could be very unfair and exploitable, all while bordering on the line of harassment and bullying. If at that point there is a member that is creating multiple problems then it is something that the public should not take into their own hands to control. The last thing we want is for a member to feel targeted, to feel unwelcome because of a few mishaps and thread blocks.
I have a notebook in my car where I write down ideas occasionally.
So I have a roleplay group with me and my friends and am considering moving it to here, possibly having the thread itself start where the current story has left off.
Is there anything against this? Do all roleplay groups need to form and start here? I don't assume so but being my paranoid self, I want to make sure first

Nope. If anything we welcome you with open arms. The roleplay is your project and you should be free to work on it on whatever site you feel comfortable with. If you don't want others to join just ensure you set the RP to full.
