Titans of Gotham iCheck Part 2

This is basically an alt. universe where Batman brings about the Titans in Gotham in memory of his first [and only] sidekick. You can make an original, or remake an existing character in some form or fashion, but know the majority of Titans history save for a few enemies will be left out. Presumably no other teen heroes really exist in this DCU. We'll fight mostly Batman enemies and a couple wildcards and an original of mine so long as the game keeps running smoothly.

The story thus far:

The Titans have already had a few heroes drop out of their ranks within their first few missions and one, an Amazonian, was taken by the Court of Owls and brainwashed into a superpowered Talon. Dozens of Man-Owl creatures have been unleashed on Gotham with the Amazonian Talon leading the charge. Batman is away on a mission with Superman, and the Titans other mentor, Wildcat, is out in the city with the rest of the team barricaded in at HQ.

LOVE Batman Beyond, and the JLU Beyond as well. Don't care for the whole Tim Drake 5 years from now going into the future after Terry dies in that present to become Batman Beyond in a Terminator style future where machines had taken over. Then again... that's kinda what we're doing here and the original basis for Futures End. Only instead of it being Brother Eye, its Brainiac. And Batman Beyond isn't here to help us.

He's the only one worthy to be Batman in my eyes. None of the other three can which is why they adopted new hero identities.

I like all of the robins, but Damian is my favorite. I love the strained father and son relationship that him and Bruce hhave. Also every character has had bad stories. Batman, superman and wonder woman all have had them, it's the writer's job to do them right.

Also grant Morrison did an excellent Batman series featuring Damian and Batman vs robin was amazing in my opinion.

Dick and Jason were my least favorite robins, they're better when they're their own heroes

The one reason I even own comics with Damian in them... is because Grayson was Batman. Grayson's acrobatics surpassed even Batman's with his upbringing, and it was cannon for years he was the 2nd greatest detective in the DCU before the New52 reboot. He was the leader of a contingency Justice League and a founder of the Teen Titans. All of that to me would look a lot better on a resume than 'trained by assassins.' I prefer Grayson as Nightwing, don't much care for the 'Agent 37 of Spyral' stuff going on now. Damian has Bruce's DNA, but Grayson will always be more of a son and successor. Historically speaking, Robin/Grayson is one of the most important characters in comics. When I think of Damian as Batman I think of the Batman #666 issue. That's not what Batman should be IMHO, didn't care for that take at all. The only time I've enjoyed a more hardcore Batman was when Tim Drake was still just Robin, when it showed the 'Titans of Tomorrow' and in the twisted future he was a more brutal adult Batman who used the same gun that killed Bruce's parents to execute criminals. I remember reading that and thinking 'holy shit, THAT'S an interesting twist.'

Also, because Damian THINKS he deserves it just because he's got Bruce Wayne's DNA is probably what pisses me off the most about him. Like that kid who became king in Game of Thrones. Grayson was Robin shortly after Bruce became Batman, and even when he left out on his own he still stayed in the superheroics. If Batman got in costume and started operating before Superman, that makes Grayson more experienced than a good portion of the DCU. What's Damian's actual hero career amount to, a year or two?

I also kinda thought it was a bad move after Batman's had three adopted sons to give him a biological heir. It defeats the purpose of the others not being blood related.

Okay, rant over. LOL. Sorry, but I find very few instances to show my nerd side. I'll leave the subject with this: I LOVE the We Are Robin series. And I'm trade waiting the Robin War story.

Think like zombies. They claw, bite, etc. Their teeth look like the ends of phone chargers and can inject the techno virus into your blood stream. Soon I'll upgrade them with an energy attack that shoots from their mouths.

If anybody could make me like Damian Wayne it'd be you. He'd have to be less of a Robin though and more the grandson of Al Ghul. PM me sometime today and I'll let you in on where the story will go with Batman, Nightwing, and Gotham by the end of the first arc.

The Flash did what he could to gather his team, but most of them had already stumbled upon the action. Somehow the techno-zombie drones of Brainiac couldn't get close enough to the KO'ed Raven to enslave her. It could have been the mighty sword of Saint William. Possibly the speed of Kid Flash, or even the light blasts of the resident ex-con. But the heroes fought hard. Dr. Light even managed to find a few survivors and it was no surprise there were more females than males. Flash hit eight hundred miles per hour breaking the speed of sound and clotheslined the head of Cyborg clean off his robotic body. The rest of the machine man dropped to the ground and the head began constructing legs or something underneath itself to get back to the body.

"I'm gonna clear a path for us and start getting the civilians out one by one. With Raven down I may need to get the rest of you guys out of here too so stay close..." instructed the Flash as he bolted back and forth with the half dozen or so civilians the team rescued.

Across town....

Batman was in and out of the cracks of the machine city like a bug. The dark knight got the info he needed. Not all of the survivors still in the city were scattered, Brainiac's forces have several hundred in a prison below the surface, just under what was left of the Daily Planet building. The detective dipped out of his present location and began making his way back to Wonder Woman and the others. The founding Justice Leaguer was impressed, a drone generator was completely fried and there were less than fifty techno-zombies in the general vicinity.

"Wonder Woman, I think I may have found where they're keeping some of the survivors..." Batman commented swinging down beside the Amazon and wielding three batarangs between his fingers like claws and attacking a nearby drone.

"Static made quick work of the turrets, but we need to get out of here soon. I could keep going but the rest of the team is starting to show signs of fatigue." Wonder Woman said in response slicing at several drones with her sword.

As the drone generator melted from the top down after Captain Marvel cracked it's exterior, the building itself began to give.

"C'mon Marvel! We'd better get off of this thing quick!" Superbeast shouted now shifting into the bone serpent and slithering down the side of the tower.

"Get ready to fall back team!" Batman screamed from the ground, "Wonder Woman is clearing a path!" he continued as the Amazon warrior flew at top speed taking down any remaining drones in her path.

I'm in the titanpad now if anyone's around! Gonna move things forward a bit and get our teams ready to fall back.

EDIT: Posted! We haven't cleared out yet but we're getting ready to. Then, after our group rests up a little... we rescue either Nightwing or Superboy as well as a hundred or so survivors.

One more reason I hate Damian Wayne. Give me Red Hood/Jason, Tim Drake/Red Robin, or Grayson/Nightwing any day of the week. Bruce Wayne should've never had an illegitimate child, least of all with one of his enemy's daughters.
