@Weird Tales It's being written by Gerard Way though, and until it's confirmed Negative Man is a member it's as good as crap to me. The legacy aspect has been all but completely forgotten in DC, which is what this Rebirth is supposed to be fixing. One of the reasons fans assumed the classic JSA would return as well as some form of LoSH. With Damian, he's being moved to Super Sons and Teen Titans because it's clear he can't sustain fans with a solo title for very long, something Tim Drake never had a problem with his series lasting over a hundred issues IIRC.

Characters I'd love to see them do more with: Deadman, the Demon, Ragman, the Ray, Damage, Starman, Damage, Atom Smasher/Nuklon, Hawkman, Capt. Atom, Hawk & Dove, Static, Metamorpho, Booster Gold, Captain Marvel [I refuse to call him Shazam], Mary Marvel, the Question, the Outsiders, the LoSH, the JSA, Kyle Rayner/GL, Capt. Comet [known simply as Comet more recently], Steel, Judo Master, Vixen, Batman Inc., etc...

One of the books I'm surprised to be interested in though, is All New Super-Man. This Chinese Superman looks-wise is leaps and bounds better than the mostly all blue Superdad/Superman. And I'm looking forward to the Chinese government building it's own Justice League and wondering where/how the Great Ten will be involved.

I expect more from DC Comics than solos featuring the most well known Justice League members, Bat-books, and titles with leads tying to the Trinity [Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman]. Marvel is all over the place at all times and caters to a wider range of fans, DC is struggling to stay 'hip' and relevant.

I expect more from a Teen Titans title I suppose, being led by a 12 year old former League of Assassins member and using the new black Kid Flash in the old one's suit just isn't doing it for me. And they're introducing multiple characters with superspeed in the Flash monthly and talking up some kid named August... and NOT this new take on Wally?

New and fresh isn't always a positive thing. I'd have rather read a title about the clone Superboy and Red Robin than these two tweens. With Red Hood... I'd just rather have a solo Red Hood title. He doesn't NEED supporting characters with powers to make him more interesting. And upping the profiles of two characters with stronger ties to premiere superheroes [Superman and Wonder Woman] just makes it all the more obvious DC isn't willing to take chances with 2nd and 3rd string characters anymore.

Give me a decent Outsiders title instead of more Trinity-related books and spin-offs.

I specifically made this a sandbox game because of these types of situations. No pressure. The problem with having a team based superhero RP is when people have to take a few days off or disappear for a week or so and then the rest of the group is left picking up pieces and writing around incomplete character interactions and whatnot.

I'm not as impressed with their line-up of books and talent as I should be, but everything depends on how the Rebirth Special pans out. I was looking forward to the return of the Justice Society and the Legion of Superheroes but that's not even in the plans unless it's something they're waiting to announce. Replacing New52 Superman with the pre New52 Superman who appeared in the Lois and Clark series is also an iffy move for me, since we'll essentially have two Lois Lanes and two Clark Kents, even if it's just the beginning of the relaunch. I don't care for Superdad's son being the new Superboy, or the fact the two newest Green Lanterns are the stars of the Green Lanterns title that looks to be nothing more than volume 4 of GL rehashed with two new Lanterns. Shipping titles twice monthly is also something I'm skeptical about, as it could really help DC or hurt them. Ted Kord finally returning was a good idea, but he's playing second fiddle and mentor to a Blue Beetle who's already failed twice with monthly titles [Jaime Reyes]. And Red Hood's new team of Outlaws is 'a half baked Bizarro clone' and the Amazonian archer Artemis... really?

The only books that look promising to me are the adult Titans, Aquaman, and Deathstroke. And to be honest, the way the new artist on Aquaman draws the scales on his shirt look horrible as well as his general figure composition. A lot of his images have Aquaman looking a bit too barrel chested with super skinny arms and legs.

When the New52 came around the universe lost a lot of it's legacy heroes and history. With the Justice Society and the Legion nowhere to be seen the past and future of this DCU are severely handicapped. Batman Beyond is taking a step back in the right direction with the return of Terry, but rather than get a new #1 they're continuing with the numbering [and doing this with at least a few more series...] which will further confuse any new readers wondering what in the hell DC's Futures End was and what it did to the Beyond-ish Future.

A Batman RP with Slam Bradley AND Lord Death Man from the Batman Manga?!? Holy shit, this looks interesting LOL

@Ruby I would apply for this but most of the good characters seem to be taken and making OC's for a game set in Gotham with most of the heroes being street level vigilantes is tough. Would you be up for a Gotham native and supernatural hero, Ragman? Depending on the writer he can be either League level or street level, but I can dumb his powers down a bit if need be. He's a bit of an oddball character, but like I mentioned you guys have Slam and LDM among the roster so I wasn't too sure what's acceptable and what isn't.

Arkylius walked out of a Silver Dollar Coffee spot on the corner of Universal avenue and Pine street. Tasting caffeine for the first time had the Atlantian's mind all over the place as the rush he now commanded was intense. Drinking fluids rather than living in the ocean and absorbing them would take some getting used to, but the liquids he now consumed were anything but regular salt water. Some time later the young man felt a rumbling in his stomach and he knew he needed to eat something, so he approached a hot dog vendor and asked...

"What is that incredible odor?" Ark asked wide eyed looking at the condiments and food that the over weight vendor handed to another customer.

"Probably smelling the chili, kid. It's my own recipe and the reason I can make enough greenbacks to survive on..." the man responded.

"I would love to try one of these 'hot dogs' but I'm afraid I don't have any greenbacks. Will this suffice?" Ark replied putting down three large gold coins that had the vendor's eyes growing wide now as well.

"You ever eat a hot dog, kid?" the vendor asked taking the coins.

"I have not..." Ark replied.

"Let me make you one how I like to eat them with chili, mustard, ketchup, and a little relish," the vendor began saying, "Here ya go kid. Can't believe you ain't never had a 'dog before..."

The young Atlantian took a bite and was amazed at the flavor of surface dweller food.

"I'm not from around here, I only recently picked up your lang age." Ark continued carrying on a conversation with the vendor while eating the hot dog.

In the distance on a rooftop a mercenary was scoping a target when he caught the dopey young man paying for a hot dog with what appeared to be gold coins from a lost city.

"Interesting..." thought the Reaper as he continued moving down the street with his scope looking for his mark.

Across town...

Shayd the Indestructible Man moved up the Kirby River towards Westman Chemical. A load of materials just came in on the train, and something on it had the interest of the mammoth of a man.

The hidden mountain fortress of STRIKE...

"He's on the move, sir. Probably targeting something or someone on the train entering Westman Chemical. Should we send in a team?" asked a young man in a tucked in white dress shirt with military looking patches and pins on it.

"Negative. Shayd isn't as dumb as he looks, we need to know what sort of game he's playing." responded the Director of STRIKE, a man known as Gary Frank.



"We need to know more about this bastard so we can take him down once and for all. Westman is currently developing some new bio-weapons the military plans on using in case those aliens ever return to Earth... and we can't have him wrecking everything they've been working on..." he continued speaking to the young man at the computer.

Got a little off track yesterday, but I'm working on getting something up along with @Aro soon. I have tomorrow off but I work a little longer on Wednesdays and Fridays. So far all the posts look great and I've really taken a liking to a lot of characters.
